Hi,
can you try to run the attached vi? If it does not run, there might be a problem with the LabVIEW installation. Is the image on the screenshot what I should expect to see?

  • Path problem for "Load VRML File.vi" in EXE

    Hello,
The new integrated 3d Picture Control functionality in LabVIEW 8.20 is amazing.  It is a really easy to use implementation of OpenGL.  I've discovered one bug/issue when building VI's to an exe that includes the 3d Picture Control:
If "Load VRML File.vi" is used, in the executable, you will encounter a LabVIEW Error 7 due to a path problem in the following vi:
    NI_3D Picture Control.lvlib:Load VRML File.vi->NI_3D Picture Control.lvlib:NI_Old 3D Toolkit.lvlib:Read WRL file.vi->NI_3D Picture Control.lvlib:NI_Old 3D Toolkit.lvlib:Initialize.vi
The File Not Found problem will prevent the vrml file from loading.  Navigating down into the subVI's of the "Load VRML File.vi" shown above easily reveals the problem.  I've included a screenshot of the diagram of that VI.  The relative
path resulting from the double "Strip Path" operation is not valid
in the executable.  I'm not sure where that "definitions" file resides
in the runtime deployment or if it's even included, so fixing the path to account for the differences in the exe vs. development environment path is not an option.   I'm also usually very hesitant to make any mods to anything in vi.lib.
For the development environment, the "definitions" file can be found at: [LabVIEW 8.2 dir]\vi.lib\picture\3D Picture Control
The easy fix is to include the "definitions" file in the same directory as your exe when you build.  Fortuitously, this does the trick because the first strip path gives the path to the exe and then the second strip path results in the path to the directory where the exe resides.
Hopefully NI will fix this path reference properly in future revisions.
    Enjoy!

  • Loading Vrml files in Swing using java3d loader

I've got problems loading Vrml files in Swing using java3d vrmlLoader. It seems to be only able to load vrml files that contains simple geometry like squares, cones etc. But when it comes to complicated shapes like IndexedFaceSet, its a blank. Does anyone know why?
What are the points to note when loading vrml files? Doesn't the code:
    vrmlLoader = new VRML97Loader(VRML97Loader.LOAD_ALL);
    and
    scene = vrmlLoader.load(loadUrl);
load the entire vrml file? Is there any comprehensive tutorial or example that I can refer to? The fly through in Java 3d demo is too complicated. I'm still pretty new to this field. Thanks.

Did you download the example VRML file I had listed?
First make sure you test it with that one...it that works
then maybe the VRML file you are using is not version
    #VRML V2.0 utf8
...Actually, I think you'd get some parsing error if you
used a VRML v1.0, so that probably is not the issue.
Do you have the vrml97.jar file in you path, maybe?
Check you path in Windows by typing "path" in command window. If you have the vrml97.jar file then
that's cool...if not then you must add it to your path.
OR you can temporarily compile by invoking
the -classpath <path> command....I think you'll have to
do the same when running the code....so do:
    javac -classpath PUTPATHHERE TestVrml.java
    java -classpath PUTPATHHERE TestVrml
If that doesn't work, do you have Java 3D installed?
    just checking...
I'm kind of lost as to what to do beyond that....by the way, I double checked my files and and recompiled and
reran them and they work fine. I've also checked them
on a different computer at work and they work their too.
So, long story short, it's something wrong on your end either with the java install or the vrml97.jar file not being in the path...I don't know much more.
Let me know if anything worked.

  • Tecra M7: Can't create Recovery CD: Missing CDDVD.ini - Error loading INI file: RDC_info.ini

I just recently purchased a Tecra M7, but the system does not come with recovery media, just a Recovery partition and a Recovery Disk creator.
However, when I try to run the Recovery Disc Creator, it replies with "Error loading INI file: C:\Program Files\Sonic\RecordNow!\RDC_info.ini".
I opened this file to try to determine the error, but the contents simply refer to a file named CDDVD.ini. I have looked all over the Hard Drive, even mounted the Recovery Partition, but could not find this file.
Searching on Google, I found that this file regularly goes missing, and that without it, the recovery media cannot be created. One person reported Tech Support emailing him the file, another was emailed by another user.
In both cases, the user was immediately able to make the disks. In any case, it seems to be a standard file, referring to "Add_info.ini" (Application and Drivers Disks) and "Rec_info.ini" (OS Recovery Disk), fairly consistent and unchanging through all systems that use this method to build disks.
Please, could someone email me theirs or post it here so we can all see?
If/when I receive this file, once I determine it works I will post it here.
    Daniel

I have talked to Tech Support, and the Tecra M7 w/ XP Tablet Edition does not have Recovery Disks available yet. I was told to check back in a couple of weeks.

  • Cannot play JWPlayer mp4 videos - "error loading media, file could not be played" in MS Windows 7 Firefox. Works on Firefox for mac.

We use mp4 / mv4 type videos. These videos are viewed through a JWPlayer playlist. They work fine using Firefox browser on a MAC, however on MS Windows 7, I get "Error loading media, file could not be played". They also work fine from MS Windows 7 using IE and CHROME browsers. Any idea what might be causing the problem when trying to play them from the Firefox browser on a Windows platform?
I have already tried uninstalling Firefox, deleting my profile and re-installing the latest version.
I logged a support problem with JWPlayer and they indicated that it ma be a browser specific related issue with html5?
    Thanks for you help!

I would assume an issue with the HTML5 media player.
If those aren't working on Windows then it is possible that the proper codecs aren't installed.
You can try to disable the HTML5 media player and make Firefox use the Flash plugin.
You can do this by setting these two prefs to false on the <b>about:config</b> page:
    *media.windows-media-foundation.enabled
    *media.directshow.enabled

  • Error loading xml file with sqlldr

    Hi there,
I am having trouble loading an xml file via sqlldr into oracle.
The version i am running is Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production and the file size is 464 MB.

I have loaded a file of 170MB using the same process succesfully.
    Any Ideas?
    Cheers,

Looked a bit into the issue (ORA-22813) and although it can be caused by a lot of issues varrying database versions, you could have a go at sizing up your PGA database parameter. See Oracle support Doc ID 837220.1 for more info.

  • Question for load VRML file with scale and position missed

    Hi,
I trid to read a .wrl file from the "load VRML" vi, most simple .wrl models can be correctly read but for some more compliacted models their scales and positions were incorrect.
I attached the file which I read the .wrl file and a car model from Matlab Virtual Reality toolbox. The file can be read but their position and scale was missed. I check this model on other VRML readers and I believe the car model is correct. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
    Thanks,

    Hi Yi Y,
    Thanks for your reply.
The attached files are the correct .wrl file and the one read from LabVIEW.
The colored is incorrect, the car is seperated to some parts, and the scale of some of the parts are wrong.
I think you can use any .wrl reader to read the wrl file I posted, all the reader I tried can read it successfully besides LabVIEW.
In the vi I have you can try to adjust the scale or rotate it then I think you can find the seperated car parts.
I will appreciate if you can give me any suggestion. Thanks,

  • Error loading representations file in Mars (regression?)

I have a model whose representation's file opens in Luna SR2 (4.4.2) but fails to open in Mars (4.5 RC1) with the exception below.
The core of the error is the following:
    org.eclipse.emf.ecore.resource.impl.ResourceSetImpl$1DiagnosticWrappedException: org.eclipse.emf.ecore.xmi.IllegalValueException: Value 'org.eclipse.emf.ecore.impl.EPackageImpl@6040c56c (eProxyURI: platform:/resource/org.eclipse.papyrusrt.xtumlrt.common.model/model/common.ecore#/)' is not legal. (platform:/resource/org.eclipse.papyrusrt.xtumlrt.common.model/model/representations.aird, 3, 60)
This is very strange because it suggests that a URI value is not legal, namely the URI of the corresponding .ecore file, but that value, in particular that file is legal, and it is there, next to the representations file.
    What's the problem?
    Is this a regression?

    Hi,
the .aird file should be migrated during the loading, but if you at some point you did test milestone builds of EcoreTools and Sirius you could end up with a migration which is not trigerred.
At the top of the .aird file there is version attribute in the viewpoint:DAnalysis root, can you paste here its value ? (something like : version="10.0.10.201502231700")

what I should do is the following:
open the 3 files you have using notepad and compare line 478 in the original file (that had the error) with the corresponding line in one of those 2 other files. what are the differences? the answer to this question might give you a clue.
and if you don't see any differences try to cut and paste that one line with the error to a new 4th file and load this one and see if the error reoccurs (I think it will).
