Error Message HP Officejet Pro L7590

I'm getting an error message; "the following printheads has a problem (Black/Yellow) (K/Y) ... How do I fix this so I can print?

ON January 23, 2012 I contacted HP Service to assist in solving my printer problem.  I was very detailed about my printers problem in description and error message given.  I was told that HP Support could fix the problem and I was sold an annual Service Program for $40.  However during the conversation I was also told the cost would be $42 and then $47.  Since I wanted this problem resolved and I was assured the problem could be resolved I accepted the program.  I was never offered the one time offer which I have found out since.
After about 1 hour, being hung up on, having to call back, repeat the story for the second time, the problem was never resolved.  In fact I was told it was a hard ware problem.  If that was the case, then it should of been mentioned to me prior to my investment.  Then the tech wanted to sell me a new set of ink cartridges, when the message is for the BK/YE print head.  I mentioned to him that I just replaced the cartridges and they where all new.  Then I was told that I needed to purchase a new HP printer!  He is going to call me back today.  I have tried to generate a new on-line chat session, however that is for those products still in warranty.  I guess that I have just been taken advantage of and I have no intension in purchasing an HP product that I can not get support and solve or fix an issue without misrepresenting the service process.  I feel that I have been taken advantage of!

  • HP Device Not Found Error when trying to print or scan wireless- HP Officejet Pro L7590

Have had HP Officejet Pro L7590 All-In-One Printer for years.  Always worked fine and I had no issues printing via wireless connection.  Several months ago..  Possibly after a Windows 8 update.  From Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 I have not been able to use the printers wireless feature.  When I try to print or scan it shows the printer as offline.  Also get an error message that tells me "HP Imaging device is not found".  I can still print when connected to USB.  Cannot scan or use features of the HP software suite.  I have tried several times to correct.  Reloading the software and drivers several times, but no success.  I just tried again and was able to print the test page wireless, so got all excited and thought I fixed it.  Then tried to print something and got the same error message I have seen in the past.  I have talked to certain supports saying that it may be a firewall setting within Windows.  Any other suggestions?  Thanks

  • Hp officejet pro L7590 all-in-one printers - 'door open' message

We have a 1 and 1/2 year old HP Officejet Pro L7590 all-in-one . "Door Open" message would not go away even if all the doors are intact, or after we shut it down and turn it back on after 60 seconds. We could not print, fax nor copy. We talked to HP customer service which no longer support this series. How can we bring our printer back to work?

There are at least three interlock switches that can cause this error.  One is on the door that covers the ink cartridges, one is on the top lid (covering the "guts" of the printer) you lift up to service the printheads and the third is on the back duplexer; if you don't have a duplexer, there should be a cover in place.  You'll need to check all three to be sure they're in working order.
I know the door covering the ink cartridges has a tendency to break off the little tab that keeps the door closed so that would be the first one I'd check.  The top lid that covers the "guts" of the printer also has a small tab that goes into a hole that activates an interlock switch.  If that tab is broken off, the switch does not get closed, giving you the error message you see.  I've seen this broken off also, usually from closing the cover when misaligned with the receiving hole.  If this one is missing, you can ball up a small piece of paper and shove it in the hole to activate the interlock switch.
The 7590 is a great printer.  Much better built than the newer models and cheap to operate, IMO.  Hope you can get it working again.

  • Officejet Pro L7590 - disconnected message

After reinstalling the drivers and checking for updates, which are current, I'm still haveing problems printing from my CAD program Vectorworks Fundamentals.  When I send a document to print the system hangs on "spooling".  I can delete the file only after shutting down the CAD software. All other programs print fine.  I've contacted the software company and they are at a loss. I have a Photosmart C310 connected to the same computer and I can print without issues.  I'm running Windows 7 - just recently installed - and all updates are current.  Also, the CAD service packs are up to date. What is mysterious is that in the HP solutions program it shows that the L7500 series printer is disconnected.  I was getting this message frequently when running Win XP too but had no issues with printing from any program. I open the printer toolbox and it says "the computer is unable to establish a two-way communication with the device".  Just to test, I can go to a program, say Excel, and then print a document without issue. Then going back to CAD, trying to print causes the printer to hang on spooling again.
I've shut the computer and printer down, unplugged the printer and restarted, still the same situation.
I did not have this problem running XP.  My only way to print a CAD document now is to save as a PDF and then print from there which it does fine - even though HP Solutions says the printer is disconnected.
Any solution would be appreciated.  What is this scrubber that I saw on another trouble shooting posting?

    Hi casemarte,
Welcome to the HP Forums! I see that you are getting a disconnect message with your HP Officejet pro L7590. I am happy to help you with this connection issue! I have a few questions for you:
How is the printer connected? Wireless, Ethernet, or USB?
Can you make copies with the printer?
Is the power cable plugged into a surge protector or directly to the wall outlet? Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.
In the meantime, please try our HP Print and Scan Doctor, and let me know what happens. Hope to hear from you, and have a nice day!

  • Unable to install Officejet Pro L7590 print driver in Windows 8.1

I have lost days of time trying to get my OfficeJet Pro L7590 to print properly and otherwise operate in a stable manner.  My computer is a new Dell XPS8700 running Windows 8, upgraded to Windows 8.1 via the "Store" app after purchase.  My problems started soon after the 8.1 update.
The primary problem symptom is the printing of about a half page of text fine, then the printer spits the page out and prints several more pages of mostly blank paper with random symbols around a top or side edge.  This occurs regardless of the program doing the printing, i.e., MS Word, Excel, Acrobat, etc.
I have run the Printing Doctor program many times which doesn't fix anything, despite its claims to the contrary (more below).
I have been on this forum many times and tried multiple instances of uninstall/reinstall without success.  The HP Installer may make it through the whole installation process but unstable performance of the printer is the outcome.  Uninstalling the printer software using HP's uninstaller ALWAYS crashes before it can finish uninstalling.  I get a message of "HP Installer Uninstaller has stopped working".  I would attach a screenshot here but I does not seem an option in this window.
I have run multiple versions of HP's scrubber programs which also crash by level 2 with same message.  I still ran L4 regardless but that crashes, too.  That's the constant of every uninstallation or scrubbing effort using HP's programs:  a crash without an error message given beyond the "HP Installer Uninstaller has stopped working".
I run the Printer/Scanner Doctor tool when the software was malfunctioning and it always finds a Print Spooler problem, "fixes" it but the problem remains.  This posting is coming after the "Doctor" tool told me to uninstall the program.  HP's uninstaller crashed, as usual, but the I was told to use Windows Add/Remove programs to finish the job.  I did.  I have not tried to install the program again and am becoming close to 'Refreshing' my entire Windows program, which will require reinstalling and updating Windows and every program I use - which will take days.  I hope to avoid that step.
Dell's hardware analysis utility tells me everything hardware is great!
I truly believe HP's software IS THE PROBLEM and would love to figure this out.  The printer has always worked great - until the Windows 8.1 update.  The scanner will work fine (usually) after I reinstall the software.  I used the printer before on my prior computer running Windows 7 with no trouble.
Going into today's crash info, via Event Viewer, I have this message from the error log:
Application 'C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqbam08.exe' (pid 3960) cannot be restarted - Application SID does not match Conductor SID..

There was an earlier - about 30 minutes earlier - warning saying:
The application (HP Solution Center, from vendor Hewlett-Packard) has the following problem: To function properly, HP Solution Center must be reinstalled after you upgrade Windows.
I have reinstalled it many times.  I have used HP's installation & uninstallation utilities, including the Installation failure utility, none of which install the program properly, CERTAINLY not well enough that I can EVER uninstall it without a crashed uninstallation per description above...
I think I have reviewed and tried every "canned" HP quick solution, and not so quick solution, on this forum.

  • OfficeJet Pro L7590 - wireless printer issue

    Hi,
I have a 2008 OfficeJet Pro L7590 printer. I'm just now trying to get my printer to print wirelessly and I'm having multiple issues. I lost the disk for installation, but downloaded the installation via hp.com/support
After installing it, I tried to connect it wireslessly. On the final step, it says "
Unable to communicate with your printer. Not all diagnostic tests could be performed. Check cable connections and then retry."
I've checked all my cords and everything and they are plugged in correctly! BUT here's the thing. When I go to my start menu, and click control pannel → network and then click on a tab, such as "Network and Sharing Center, Connect to a Netowk, or set up a connection or nework. The window absolutely freezes and I'm not able to click on it at all. Also, I don't see a wireless conection icon on the bottom bar, right corner. (not sure what that's called) All i see are two computer screens and a red X ontop of them (icon)
I really need to connect my printer wirelessly, so I can use my phone, ipads and ipod touches! Please help. I've spent so many hours trying to figure this out!
HP doesn't offer me anymore help because it's out of warrenty

    Hello iAliciaa.
I understand you are trying to installing your Officejet L7590 and you are receiving a message indicating "unable to communicate
with your printer". Are you connecting this printer Ethernet or wireless?
Please follow this entire HP document if you are connecting your printer using an Ethernet connection: Printer Is Not Found During Installation.
I understand completely what you are talking about, but could you verify what type of Operating System you have?

  • HP Officejet Pro L7590 Printer - HP Solution Center does not work

I am not able to get the Solution Center suite to work because the installation has an error.  I am using Windows 7 Home Premium.  The printer I am installing is the HP Officejet Pro L7590.
If I go to Devices and Printers and add the printer.  The driver Windows 7 driver would work, it would detect the printer and the test page and everything would be fine.
However, if I install using the software provided by HP for the L7590 it would result in an error and it would not work.
The failed driver installation is only from installing the full bundle software provided by HP, if by itself through Windows 7 it would be fine.
Because of the failed installation using HP software the HP solution center does not work.
In Devices and Printers, the printer has the yellow exclamation point requiring troubleshooting, I click on troubleshoot and no device drivers were found.  In addition, I could not remove the printer.  Before installing the HP software, I could successfully install the printer and there would be a green checkmark, and there would be an option to remove the printer.  This leads me to believe HP has a faulty software bug that is causing the error.
I am suppose to use the HP add a printer shortcut that populated on my desktop after installing the software, the first time it would show the failure to successfully install the driver, afterwards it would not even detect my printer if it is plugged in.  If I remove the usb and reinsert it, the Windows would just show the failed driver.  I repeat, it failed after I install the software, it works fine without.  The primary reason I want the software is to use the scanning feature.

Hello NickRT, and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see you are having software installation issues.  i would like to try and assist you.
I would suggest Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once it is uninstalled, I would suggest putting your system into clean boot mode within the Microsoft configuration.  You can do so by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would reinstalling the HP Officejet Pro Full Feature Software and Driver.
Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

  • HP Officejet Pro L7590 networking problem

    Hi!
    I have the following problem:
I have an Officejet Pro L7590 All-in-one printer. It is connected to my wlan router (ASUS WL-500G Premium) through its ethernet port.
I have two desktop PCs, i've installed, and using this printer on them without problems. One of them runs on Vista, the other on Windows 7.
But i can't get it work with my notebook. It connects to the router through wlan (Intel WLAN 3945ABG adapter), runs on Windows 7. When i try to add the printer, the installer detects the printer on the network, but during the installation of the device, i get an error, that the device cannot be set up.
    I have tried:
-Other (older and newer) versions of printer software.
-Updated printer's firmware, doesn't work either with the original, or the newest version, the problem is the same.
-tried with all firewall settings, it doesn't work even with fully disabled firewall (I'm using Eset 4.0, even tried to remove it)
Does anybody have some idea for this? Please help!

The following are the details about network printer problems in Windows 7:
        “Access is denied” Error
         Not getting Add Printer Wizard
         Choose compatible drivers
    “Access is denied” Error
If the “Access is denied” error is showing up on the computer, just go through the steps to fix the error. First, open the Printer Wizard through the Control Panel. Select the ‘Add printer Wizard’, then click ‘Add a local printer’ and then click ‘Create a new port’. Make sure that local port is there in the list and then click ‘Next’. In the Port name dialog box, type computer name and printer name and then click ‘Ok’. Complete the wizard steps to finish the process.
    Not getting Add Printer Wizard
In some cases, the Add Printer Wizard may not be available to you. At that time, just open the Printer Wizard through the Control Panel. After that choose the ‘Network Printer’ page and go through the ‘TCP/IP’ page and complete the additional steps in the wizard.
    Choose compatible drivers
You need to choose compatible driver in Windows 7. First, you have to click the ‘Start’ button and select and ‘All Programs’. Then, go to ‘Accessories’ and select ‘System Tools’ and then click ‘System Information’. Then, you have to select the ‘System Summary’ and then review the OS Name and System type to find out which version of operating system you are running. Then, accordingly choose the network printer driver for your computer.

    Hi @rustyblue,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
Currently there are no full feature software and drivers directly through HP for Mac OS X 10.10 for this particular printer model. However, after some searching I found this driver directly through Apple. HP Printer Drivers v3.0 for OS X.
If you need help with scanning without HP software, please see this post, Re: iMac OS X 10.9.3 Scan to iMac Driver for HP OfficeJet Pro 8500A A910a does not seem to exist, by my colleague @Sunshyn2005. Even though this post is for Mac OS X 10.9.3 and a different printer, these steps will work for your printer on 10.10 as well.

  • HP Officejet Pro L7590 won't print correctly after it sits a few days Windows Vista USB connection

I have a HP Officejet Pro L7590 All In One.  It all of a sudden will not print correctly after it sits a few days.  I purchased a new black/yellow printhead recently and it did print well for about a week.  If it sits a few days, it acts up again.  All I have to do to fix it is take out the yellow/black printhead clean with sterile water on a q tip the printhead, put it back in, and walla it prints again until the next time I want to use the printer, and the same thing again.  Today I printed out some pictures after not using the printer for 5 days, the pics had large vertical stripes in them, the stripes have colors in them.  I cleaned the printhead and it worked perfectly.  Any ideas.  I have replaced the black cartride, and the yellow recently.
    Thanks for any help

    Rocky8,
This is a little outside our area of printing, but I'll try and help you the best I can. My question for you is the printer showing up under the USB menu in Parallels. If it's not showing up then you need to determine why the USB connection isn't showing up in your Parallels USB menu.  This could be a couple of issues, but the one that I think might be happening is the version of the USB port your using.  Can you verify that you're not connecting the printer via a USB 3.0 port.  Try plugging into one of your other USB ports to see if the printer will show up in the parallels USB menu.

    Hello pcmtgrl
Which model of the Officejet 8500A series do you have? Typically you can find it inside the printer where you change the ink cartridges. Example: A910g, A910a, etc.
Has anything changed recently since the problem started? Is the printer plugged into a wall outlet or a surge protector? Do you have the latest firmware installed? I also suggest running the HP Hardware Diagnostic Utility. Let me know if it finds anything out.
