Error message in an odd location

I have this code snippet:
URL urlShoppingCartPage = new URL("http://www.example.com/cgi-bin/...");
URLConnection URLConn_ShoppingCartPage = new urlShoppingCartPage.openConnection(); // line 138
// more code...
InputStream is_ShoppingCartPage = new URLConn_ShoppingCartPage.getInputStream(); // line 167
I get this error message:
C:\>javac FormPOST_Henrys.java
FormPOST_Henrys.java:138: package urlShoppingCartPage does not exist
URLConnection URLConn_ShoppingCartPage = new urlShoppingCartPage.openCon
nection();

FormPOST_Henrys.java:167: package URLConn_ShoppingCartPage does not exist
InputStream is_ShoppingCartPage = new URLConn_ShoppingCartPage.getInputS

the program successfully compiles using URLConnection object and InputStream object further towards the top of the code file. Why does it not compile now?

The object is already created (new URL(...)) where it was declared, so remove the two other references to 'new'.
If you have trouble implementing that advice, try posting an SSCCE. It should take no more than a dozen lines of code to reproduce the errors.
Also, please use the code tags when posting code or code snippets. To do that, select the code and click the CODE button on the message input form.

  • I have itunes set up to sync with my Ipod Touch and my Ipad.  As of today, it keeps looking for an iPhone to sync with and give me an error message.  I don't have an iPhone and don't know how to stop it from popping open with this error message.

I have Itunes set up to sync with my Ipod touch and Ipad.  As of today, iTunes has started searching to sync with an iPhone, which I don't have and pops open with an error message stating it cannot locate the iPhone to sync.  I have looked in devices and only the iPad and iPod Touch are listed.  Any ideas on how to stop iTunes from searching for any iPhone it is never going to find? It is annoying to have it popping up all the time with the error message.  Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You should really read the manual.
"How do you restore from backup? "
Restore.  When given the choice, choose to use backup.
"And how can I check to see if the pics and videos are on my computer somewhere first??"
They would only be where you put them.  What program did you use to import them?  Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all.  You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer.

  • Regarding Error Message while releasing Process Order

    Dear friends,
While releasing process order i m getting following error message.
" Storage location in PUB(loc1) is not same as storage location (loc2)''.
how to remove this error and release the order.
    Thanks & regards,
    Sandip Sonar

    Hi Sandip,
The error message LP 099 'Stor. location in PUB X is not the same as prod.stor. location Y' is issued when the system finds  inconsistancy in your customizing of the couple storage location - Production supply area for your components in your process order.
The logic of the storage location determination is the following ...
The issuing storage location is determined in three steps:
    1. First, the issue storage location of the material to be issued   (MARC-LGPRO) is transferred to the material master from the  MRP    data if it is filled.
    2. The system overwrites this value with the issue storage location from the bill of material (RC29P-LGORT, STPO-LGORT) if it is     filled.
    3. If the operation to which the component is assigned in production  order contains a work center with supply area, the storage    location is transferred from this supply area (PVBE-LGORT).     However, this transfer is only carried out if storage location  data (MARD) is maintained for this storage location for the    material.
The logic of the supply area determination:
Priority of supply area determination for WM staging is as follows :
    1. Supply Area of Work Center               (highest priority)   If no supply area defined look to
    2. Supply Area in item of Bill of material  (second priority)   If no supply area defined look to
    3. Material Master View MRP2                (third priority)         If no supply area defined -> Error message LP 099
I hope this helps in sorting the issue.
    Regards,
    Mauro

  • Error messages when using InCopy packages

I have an editor who travels a lot, and is having consistant problems with using the packaging workflow in InCopy. I believe some of his problems are human error - but don't have the technical reasons for the error messages. There have also been some error messages received by the artists when they get the package back and try to update the ID file.
We are using CS4 and macs with snowleopard OSs.
Can someone please help to explain what these errors mean below?
    1. InCopy User - when opening the icml file (after first opening the package. Going back to the icml doc for more editing)
" "" could not be found. Do you want to postpone its recovery?
Click YES to recover this document later
Click NO to delete recovery data for this document
Click Cancel to postpone all document recovery til later"
    2. InCopy user - when trying to package email back to InDesign user
"This assignment includes missing or modified links. Low resolution versions will be used for the missing items, and the most recently saved versions will be used for modified links. Continue packaging?"
    3. InCopy user - when packaging to send to InDesign user by email
"An error message occured when sending this email"
(and then the package was not attached to the email)
    - this is recurring often with only one InCopy user
    4. InDesign user received the package back and when they tried to open it, an error message said that the assignments couldn't be found and the file wouldn't open. The file name hadnt been changed and we could find no reason why the package wouldn't open. (sorry, the artist didn't screenshot the actual message for this one).
Any help would be a great help - and stop a mutiny by my editors!

Error message 1 appears when InCopy or InDesign reopens for the first time after a crash. It's try to recover the documents that were open when the program crashed. We often get this error message if files are located on the server and we're not connected, but it could also happen if a file has been moved from it's original location. Whether or not you need to recover the file would drive your response.
Error 2: It sounds like the InCopy package either does not include links or the linked files have been moved or modified since opening the package. If you can relink images after files come back, it's probably OK for them to proceed with packaging. Personally, I uncheck the box that includes images when creating an assignment. The editor will still be able to see greyed out previews of the images, they just won't be available for editing. This also makes package files a lot smaller.
Error 3: This could be a problem with the user's default email client. Instead of having them choose Return for InDesign and Email," have them choose "Return for InDesign" and save it to their desktop. They can then attach the package to the outgoing email manually.
Error 4: Sorry, but I have no idea!
    Best of luck,
    Matthew

  • Error message- cannot create PDF from Word doc

All of a sudden I cannot create a PDF from a Word doc. I click the Adobe icon and get the following error message:
"PDFMaker could not locate the Adobe PDF printer. Please install the printer on this machine."
I opened my print & fax in System Utilities and see that Adobe PDF 7.0 printer is listed. I select that in the Print Dialog, go back to the Word doc, but get the same error message. Any idea how I can fix this?
    Thank you--

What versions of WORD. Is your AAX updated, or still running 10.0.0? What OS? Can you print to the Adobe PDF printer (i.e., is it just with PDF Maker that you are not successful). If it is a problem with PDF Maker, can you see the Adobe menu in WORD? As you may see, saying you cannot create a PDF from WORD does not tell us much and we need a lot more info to help.

I recently purchased (May 19, 2012) and received (May 21, 2012) my HP Pavilion dv6-6c50us.  Upon opening and starting the computer I received this error message:

It said it can no longer read it.  I get this message each time I start up the computer.  Can anyone assist me by telling me the following:
    1.  What is the Z: drive?
    2.  Where is it located?
    3.  How do I get rid of it?
    4.  Is it damaging to the computer?
The message also says that it is full.  Nothing was loaded on it, so how could it be full?
The only items I have connected to the computer is the printer (HP LaserJet 1320) and an external mouse (wireless Logitech).

  • Odd error message when attempting installation of iTunes 8

When I try to install the iTunes 8 (the most recent version), I get an odd error message and am unable to successfully complete the installation. This is the message:
    Could not access network location
    %USERPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\
This message is then followed by Retry or Cancel; Retry has not worked at all with the same error message popping up. There is no error number that I can see. After I finally hit cancel out of frustration, this message shows up:
The installation of QuickTime did not complete successfully. iTunes requires QuickTime.
I think that the first message occurs during the program's attempt to do QuickTime before the iTunes. I tried downloading and upgrading QuickTime separately, but that was also unsuccessful. I do now have an earlier version of QuickTime on my computer, but that is only because I recently added some software (Rosetta Stone to be exact) that requires the 5.0 version and downloads it automatically. I also have tried the troubleshooting tips on the Apple site.
My computer is a Dell, with Windows XP Home Edition. I do have the second Service Pack from Microsoft, and should have all of the latest updates. Please help! I'm getting really frustrated with my computer and have no idea on what to do next.

When you get a message about not being able to access a network location you usually need the Microsoft installer cleanup utility.
    Here is a method:
Download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of Quicktime (the one without iTunes)
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install Microsoft Installer cleanup utility, there are instructions on the page as well as the download. Note that what you download is the installer not the program – you have to run it to install the program. The installer doesn't give any message to confirm the installation.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/
(To run the program – All Programs>>Windows Install)
Now use the following method to remove iTunes and its components:
    XP
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
    Vista
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
*If you hit a problem with one of the uninstalls don't worry*, carry on with the deleting of files and folders as directed in the method.
When you get to deleting Quicktime files in the system32 folder as advised in the method, you can delete any file or folder with Quicktime in the name.
    Restart your PC.
Run the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility. (Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up)
Remove any references you find to the programs you removed - strictly speaking you only need to worry about those programs where the uninstall failed.
If you don’t see an entry for one of the programs that did not uninstall, look out for blank entries or numeric entries that look like version numbers e.g. 7.x for Quicktime or 1.x for Bonjour.
    restart your PC
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check that it works.
    If it does, install iTunes.

  • Ipod not recognized, getting odd error message

I've seen this posted a few times, but without any hints as to how to fix the problem.
I have a 4G 20GB iPod, just over a year old (meaning, no warranty), that has worked fine until this morning. I turned it on, and all of a sudden, it kept skipping through all of my songs, and wouldn't respond to the pause, play, etc. buttons.
I attached it to my computer via FireWire, and I keep getting this odd error message: "You have inserted a device that has no volumes that OSX can recognize" It asks me if I want to ignore, initialize, or eject the disc. I've been having it ignore it, or eject it (staying far away from initialization). After I ejected it, I noticed that all the songs on my iPod are now missing.
I reset the iPod, which didn't do much, and now I can't restore it, because neither the computer or iTunes recognizes my iPod. It shows up in Disk Utility, but I'm not entirely sure how to proceed.
What happened to my iPod? I can't seem to find anything in the Apple support pages that seems similar to my situation. Any suggestions on how to get the thing to work again?
Edit: I am using iTunes version 4.9; I have not updated to 5.0

This is the most frustrating tech trouble!
The same thing has happened to my iPod. It worked fine, then one day I plug it in and it says "Disc inserted is unreadable by this computer". As far as I remember, I didnt' update anything, make any changes, or adjust any settings to any of my hardware. SO WHAT HAPPENED?? And now I can't restore or doctor the iPod hardware bc my computer won't recognize it as actual hardware...
pleeeeease help, if anyone has a way to fix this.
The weirdest part, is that when I look at the information of the "unreadable hardware" it describes it with all the information, like how many gigs are available, how much space is used up, latest updates etc. So it can transfer information, but it pretends its unreadable? i dont understand.
