Error message under FreeBSD

I've been using Java (JDK 1.3.1_02) under Windows (98, NT and XP) and
Debian/GNU Linux without any problems. I've recently started using
FreeBSD Unix and am encountering a problem whenever I either compile or
run a Java program. After issuing the command, I get the messageexpr: syntax errorbut the program compiles or runs properly.
I've reinstalled the JDK to no avail. Any suggestions would be
appreciated.

You could "debug" the environment.
Maybe your java and javac commands are shell script wrappers (like on Linux) and there is a bug in them.

Since last week I have been receiving this error message while trying to access iCloud from an iMac in the office (a proxy is in place ).

I don't have any special network settings, my Firewall is off, etc. I brought my Air into work and logged onto the network, still nothing. I can take my Pro home and use my network, and it still works fine. It was working up until about 2 weeks or so ago, no new software or update has been applied to either.

Under Tools/Error console, I keep getting a load of error messages. How do I stop this? Also, when I hover my mouse over something, I get a small blank box instead of expected info.

Try the following steps:
1. Check windows updates.
2. Try the Microsoft Fix it in this kb to remove previous install completely:

3. Reboot.
4. Try installing again.

Error message when I run the Web Dynpro Project

Dear friend,
I had deploy & run project, but it's got the error message under the line:
I had install NWDS V. 2.0.11 on my PC, but the project which I deployed was the version that I created by NWDS V. 2.0.9, and I had install new OS as XP Home instead the old one (Windows2000), are these the cause of problem?

Probably the usual problem of deploying an application built with a newer NWDS (SP11) on an older server (SP9).
But without the stacktrace this is only a guess.

Error messages in COGI

Hi,
We have scheduled a custom program (which is copy of MB26) in back ground to make goods issues against reservations. Reason behind developing custom program is to modify the selection screen. The batch job executes for every 5 minutes in back ground. Most of the times the GI against reservations are successful. But some times we are seeing error messages under COGI. For example, we are seeing meeages like "You are not autherized for this transaction against movement type XXX (Message no. M7-121), "The material plant data locked by user <user ID with which we are executing batch job>, etc., But for the same scenarios, most of the times with same user the batch job is executing successfully and no errors recording in COGI.
We have checked the autherizations and other settings, but every thing looks fine, and could not able to find any possible reason. We request to focus some light on our scenario and suggest a suitable solution.

I think I was not clearly presented our business scenario. I try to explain the scenario precisely.
We always execute the back ground jobs with same user. For example out of 100 cases 98 cases are getting post successfully. In rest of the cases, we are seeing such errors. So for sure, it is not simple authorization issue. is this some thing like "locking table entry" and throwing such un expected errors?
When I started my initial search, I have seen few interesting discussions around programs CORUPROC and CORUAFWP, as in below links. I would like to know more about those programs. By using those programs in our business scenario can we resolve our issue. Basically, I would like to understand the impact or end result of programs CORUPROC and CORUAFWP and the method of execution. Can some body help me in this regard?

StorLib error message in the Lenovo Solution Center

I keep getting an error message under the device manager tab in the Lenovo Solution Center.
It says under drivers - 'StorLib bus (virtualstorage support)', status is 'Uninstalled'.
I can't find anything anywhere about this or how to correct the issue.
Any help out there?

The device manager pops up the screen with all the 'devices' . When I expand 'other devices', the storlib bus shows up with a yellow triangle and ! mark. Double clicking brings up a window, with status;
"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There are no compatible drivers for this device.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver."
When I try to update it, no driver can be found.
One option os to uninstall it. Guess that would get rid ot the error if it is something not being used.

Error message in CPS Manual intervention window

In Redwood CPS, we get the following error message under the Manual intervention filter in Job monitor.
JCS-122035: Unable to persist: JCS-XXXXX: @locale2@:(com.redwood.scheduler.exception.Class.persistence.api.PersistenceException$AmbiguousField 'Behavior' 'JCS_JOB0' 'JCS_JOBDEF0' ' aliases=true {Job=Job, a_1=JobDefinition}')
But as such all the jobs seems to be running fine without any issues.
Could you throw some light on the error message and its likely consequence if any in the future?

Error message: "application.exe has stopped working" under BEX event name on Windows 7 64-bit.

I am trying to run a third party program on my Windows 7 64-bit. It has an executable file.
1. When I double click on this file (appname.exe), I will see a GUI window.
2. In this GUI window, I will have to select a dynamic link library file (appDLL.dll) to load into the appname.exe that will run the application. This DLL file is compiled in Visual C++ 2010 Express based on a C source code under the Release Win32
mode.
3. It is supposed to run after step 2. Instead it give the BEX error message saying "appkernel.exe has stop working." There is no online solution at this time when I select that option to search for an online solution.
I can run this program on my Windows 7 32-bit computer. What does this error message mean? Why is there an issue like this on Windows 7 64-bit? How can I fix this issue? The detailed description of the problem is below.

The third party software provider wrote the source code in C. When I compiled this source code, the DLL file will be created in store in the Release folder in the same project directory of the source code.

DISPLAY/PRINT MY EXPENSE REPORTS UNDER TERA FAILS WITH THE ERROR MESSAGE

Hi Techies,
When i click on "Display/print" button under my expense report ( Employee --> Travel & expenses --> Manage Expenses (TERA) --> My trip reports), it opens up a new window with the error message "SOAP Framework error: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionTransport : HTTP send failed with exception communication_failure(100,101)."
This behaviour is noticed in the new upgraded system NW 701 SP7 (portal) and backend ECC 6.0 EHP4; However it works perfectly fine with our non-upgraded system NW 70 SP10 (portal) and backend ECC 6.0.
When i ran the trace on this functionality, i could notice that in the non-upgraded system, after pulling all the values, it calls the RFC function module "PTRM_WEB_FORM_HTML_GET"; however the upgraded system calls "PTRM_WEB_FORM_PDF_GET".
For the "PTRM_WEB_FORM_PDF_GET", I believe we need to configure the "ADS" rfc pointing to the ADS service on a j2ee server which am not planning for.
MY QUESTION IS:-
IS THERE ANY OPTION TO CHANGE THE FORM BEING CALLED FROM "PTRM_WEB_FORM_PDF_GET" TO "PTRM_WEB_FORM_HTML_GET" WHICH I BELIEVE WILL RESOLVE THE PROBLEM AM FACING?

you don't want to use the ADOBE Form in ESS, you have to follow 2 steps:

    o Check the Homepage framework configuration.
In IMG (transaction SIMGH) go in Travel Management->Employee Self
Service->Homepages Framework->Ressources
Delete the URL parameter "sap.xss.tra.UsePdf=true" of the ressource
"EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_TRIPFORM_SRV05".
Check that the field URL for PCD file is filled with

I can open FF under my user name which is not an Administrator,
but when I try to open it under one of the Administrator names I get that error message. I do have the password for that administrator.

Firefox does not "close" when closed under Windows 7; Task Manager must be used to "End Process." How do I close Firefox and reopen it without getting a "Still Running" error message?

Even though Firefox has been updated multiple times (currently using Ver. 3.6.13) since I started using Windows 7, I am still unable to totally close it from the toolbar or taskbar. Firefox does closeout on the screen but apparently continues to run in the background. If I open Firefox at a later time, I get an error message stating that Firefox is still running. I then have to go Task Manager to "End Process." Electing to do so allows me to restart Firefox. I never had this problem with Firefox when using Windows XP and I never have this problem with any other software under Windows 7.

Strange error message when I tried to use the "collaborate" function under "File"

Has anyone else met this before? : I am trying to share my project with my team members. Tried File -> Collaborate and then try three options under it. Non e of them works. It asks for your Adobe ID in order to sign in and upload. However, every time I typed in my Adobe ID and password, it gave me strange error messages. The first time it says: User has not verified email address yet. I have been using this Adobe ID since 2008 or 2009 and of course I have verified my email address. But to make sure, I went back to my email box and search for emails about Adobe ID verification but I didn't find any (I never delete emails such as this).
Then I tried to register a new Adobe ID. This time when I tried to singn in with the new Adobe ID, it will either say "Network may not be available" (which is not true because I am able to surf on the Internet at the same time), or it says "User has not accepted user condition/agreement".
I feel so frustrated because I feel this is definitely not my mistake which caused the failure of log in.
Hope someone can tell me what the reason is and how to fix it though.

Now I can enter the collaborate function. However, everytime when I tried to send it to myself (for test purpose) I got another error message "You need to enter a valid emaill address". I saw someone else on this forum has met the same problem. Do you have any suggestion on what is the possible reason for this to happen?

I tried "Copy" and paste but it doesn't work. I tried "Share" with Airdrop and iChat, but the file is inaccessible. When i try to rename the file, it says the filename is too long.
When I try to open it, it says the alias is not good, and asks if I want to fix the alias. I'm afraid to do that and lose all access to this document.
Right now, it feels like a ghost document - it is on the computer intact, but it is in an undisclosed location and inaccessible.
Please help!!

I was able to resolve this by repairing permissions, even though no permissions error was listed specifically for that file.
I could also have recovered it through Time Machine, but I'm interested in knowing how not to have this happen again!
I was afraid of rebooting and possibly losing track even of the ghost.
I did not try EasyFind - I'll keep that in mind next time.
