i ve a query.
say i am getting an error messages in modulepool, u all knw that if an eeror occurd flow halt in that particular screen
nw hw can i get exit from transaction without using, chain-endchain, at exit command, leave prog etc

if you are writing message statement with type 'E' the write the message statement with type 'S' display like 'E'. this will display the status messgae as error message and the flow will continue........
" for ex.
" if you write....
MESSAGE 'ERROR MESSAGE' TYPE 'E'.
" THEN CHANGE IT TO.....
MESSAGE 'ERROR MESSAGE' TYPE 'S' DISPLAY LIKE 'E'.

           I have developed a module pool program for a custom screen. while entering data on the screen,
it throws a error message for a wrong data entry.But, even after cliking enter, the error message coming repeatedly and the screen is disabled.I havent inculded the screen fields in between CHAIN-ENDCHAIN.Is this the reason for the bug. If so, i have approximately 50 fields on my screen.Should i keep all those fields in between CHAIN-ENDCHAIN. Pls suggest me...

In our scenario ,we have some checks over inputs given in a table control of module pool screen.Requirement is that after error message we need to display that record of table control in editable mode.

Thanks for the reply...The issue was resolved by dispaying information message and using EXIT to stop program flow.

I have developed a ALV report for table maintenace and I am calling the Dialog screen (small one) and Create and update the records of the Ztable through that screen.
Presently I am handling the error message in the main ALV screen .
My requirement is that I have to handle those error messages in small module screen.

I need to bold /color a message in module pool . this message will come when certain conditions satisfied , currently this text message is displaying through variable . I Refereed program DD_STYLE_TABLE , but still not getting desired output . .Is there any other way to achieve the same ?

You can give a try this.
Within the screen you are calling give keyword
Leave to list processing
and then you can give whatever colors which are there in SAP
For making the text bold you can set Format intensified on or off depending on your requirement.
For more details you can refer to programs

Error handling in module pool program

hi,
in module pool program after enabling a field if the user enters an invalid value iam giving a error message.
message 'something' type 's' display like 'E'.
then again it should go to the previous screen where the user enters the value for that enabled filed.
can u guys share some ideas.

if it is a ascreen field use the below syntax
Field <fieldname> module <module_validate>.
in the module validate write the validation and throw error message ,the screen will be in error position
if the field is in Table control
Loop at <table control>.
   chain.
      field <fieldnamemodule <module_validate>.
                                                "in the module validate write the validation and throw error message ,the screen will be in error position
endchain.

Error messages in invoice pool (VF04)

Hi!
When i use transaction VF04 to invoice if there are any standard errors, the transaction ends all invoices and shows a report with a log of the errors; but the important is, that it finishes all the invoices.
The problem is if i put some message error by a user exit. If I use VF04 and one of this invoice have a error message (own, no standard) the program stops. I mean, if I have 4 invoices and the error is in the second one, the next two invoices are not done.
So i want to put this message errors into the reports like the standard messages. Maybe is some properties of the message, but i'm not sure.

Transient VO error when app module pooling shut off

Hi,
I am using JDev 10.1.3.3.0 to build an application with ADFBC and JSF.
I am trying to test the application with the app module pooling turned off.
There is one failure I am trying to focus on an solve. What I am trying to is to populate Transient VO xyz, navigate to a dialog page using dialog: where the contents of xyz should be displayed in an af:table.
When AM Pooling is turned on, I see the data.
When AM Pooling is turned off, I have the right number of rows in the table, but I every table cell contains no data. Its like the binding layer does not restore.
Could someone explain why this is the case?

Error Message "iTuneshelper Module has stopped working"

I downloaded and installed iTunes 7.3.1.3 this morning and am unable to start iTunes. Every time I try, I get the above mentioned error message.

I've just downloaded and installed the very latest drivers from AMD and installed them. Still, I get the "clc.exe has stopped working" errors when I launch PS. I do not get this, or any other errors, when opening or running any other programs, and have never once gotten a blue screen or had any failures in this system for the two or three years it's been running.
While it's remotely possible that there is some error in AMD's latest (and previous) drivers for this video card, what seems to fit the symptoms I have, is that there is some problem in Adobe's code.
Previous versions of Photoshop open and run fine on this system. Other CAD and graphics programs run fine, too, with no crashes, lockups, or failures.
Still, if there's something else that needs to be updated for my video system, to make the Adobe errors go away, I'm open to do whatever updates are necessary. I'm running an AMD Radeon HD 5700 series display adapter, driver date 11/20/2014, version 14.501.1003.0. Device manager says the device is working properly (for whatever that's worth).
The computer is running Win 7 64 bit ultimate. Processor is AMD Phenom II X6 1090T six-core processor. All has been running flawlessly for several years, and continues to do so with every application except Adobe Photoshop 14.501.1003.0.

Exception error handling in module pool program

I have developed a screen in which I am calculating one of field value using two fields from same table.following is sample code.
zfi_proposal-zpro_value = zfi_proposal-zinv_rate * zfi_proposal-zno_of_shares.
here, field zinv_rate has domain type quan length 10 and decimal places = 4, and field zno_of_shares has domain type numc length 4. while zpro_value has domain type quan length 10 and decimal places = 4.
If zinv_rate > six digit value and zno_of_shares = two digit number system is giving conversion error.
can anyone provide solution to rectify this error.Thanks in advance.

"Function module not allowed" error message

Hi,
We created a special FM to be processed when the INVOIC is in inbound processing. We link the FM to the process code and the process code to the partner functions. We get the error message; "Function module not allowed: & name of our FM". However, when we reprocess the idoc via WE19, it goes through.
Did somebody ever face that situation?

Error message while activating a function

Num ranges in module pool prog

Hi all,
i want to maintain a number range for my custom screen.
whenever i enter data in to the custom screen and press SAVE,it should create a automatic number and tht should b saved in the concern ZTABLE.
this screen belongs to Production Planning.
am maintaining this generated number as primary key in the ZTABLE.
any help will b rewarded with maximum points...

(a) We need to create number ranges in transaction SNRO
(b) Enter the number range object name and press CREATE.
(c) Enter the description, Long text and Number Length domain andWarning %(when you are about to expire the number range a warning must be given eg:if the range is 1 to 100 and 90 is created we need to be notified that 90 is over and only 10 are remaining ..accordingly we should reset the number range or do other necessary actions..eg:10% => when it reaches 90 in number range of 1 to 100 message is displayed)
enter Number length domain..which is the length of the range eg:if we put "NUM10" as the domain(check in se11->domain->num10) we can declare an interval with 1 to maximum of 9999999999 or less than that according to our requirement
(d) Press SAVE
(e)Now click on u201CNumber Rangesu201D button on the application toolbar
(f) Click on u201CChange Intervalsu201D.
(g) Click on u201CInsert Intervalu201D.
(h) enter the range which needs to be created eg:1 to 100
Click u201CInsertu201D and then SAVE. The number range object is generated
in the program we can use the function module, NUMBER_GET_NEXT, to get the next number of any number range object.
Also keep in mind that number range NUMBER_GET_NEXT be called on the click of that 'SAVE' button just before updating the Ztable .incase we have any errors in the module pool we need not worry about accidently creating numbers... if the code is wriiten in 'SAVE' action after complete requirement checks the issue will no occur
