Hello...
I started to work trough the Order Booking Tutorial...
In the end there is a Database Adapter. When i follow this tutorial step by step... I got a "Error: null" at the end when compile and deploy this project...
What das "Error: null" mean? In this relation...
Connection to database is configured correctly..

I did copy it to my desktop, but it still won't let me open it. I think the file on the disc might be corrupt or something like that though the cd itself checks out fine as far as viruses go. I was able to verify the disc, but that's about it. My husband tried it on his iMac and we have the same issue. It's unzipping the folder, but won't let us open the folder on both the Mac Book Pro or the iMac by double clicking, going to file/open or right clicking. It just keeps saying the same message as I posted above. I think I'm just going to have the client put the pictures on either a memory card or a USB memory stick so she won't have to compress the files for zipping purposes. It's been too frustrating trying to open this folder on this cd she gave me. She said she created/zipped the cd on her Mac Book Pro but it sure won't open on mine.

I am getting "Fatal Error: null" when connection to P6v8.3.2 DB using P6 Integration API

I am getting "Fatal Error: null" when connection to P6v8.3.2 DB using P6 Integration API.
I can connect via P6 client using admin account but cannot connect using P6 API. If I provide invalid credentials it says that the credentials are incorrect. When correct credentials are provided, it comes up with the above error.
Stacktrace is atteched.

In the absence of sample code it is difficult to identify the cause. If that is not possible, you can try logging SR with Oracle support.

Excel extractor produces error "Error 8 when compiling the upload program"

I am trying to test a new Excel extractor I've created but when I do so I get the following error:

I've tried reactivating transfer structures and transfer rules but with no success. When I activate the transfer structures I can see in the status bar briefly a message refering "Activating Structure /BIC/B0000788000". I am assuming it's the technical name of the structure which supports the extraction.
Any ideas?

OK, I can see your point. The Communication structure fields have data types, CHAR, CURR and DATS (those are the data types for the info-objects I am trying to load).
But if I try to assign the same data types to the objects of the transfer structure which match the flat file I get errors like "Invalid data type (DATS) for source systems of type Ext. System.". What I understand this means is that I cannot use data types other than CHAR in the flat file structure so how can I assign data from a CHAR flat file to a DATS destination object? Do I need some kind of conversion? How? Do I really need a routine in the transfer rules?

Error 8 Implies
The last words should be read as "was found in a newer version".
The system says that the active version of your Infosource is older then another version.
I'd recommend to delete Infosource - Source system assignment (with PSA tables etc.).
Then save (activate) the Infosource (communication structure). Then assign source system, create infopackage and load data again.

Goto se38 and Run the program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL and relogin..

We cannot reproduce the error; this means that we don't have an extended log with more information on the error.

Hi,
To use the ServiceControl you need to be in a container that supports controls. This is what will instantiate your control for you, and take care of the some of the services controls require.
So to use the ServiceControl you'll need to invoke it from another web service, a page flow, or another control.
If you need to invoke from a standard main program, one option would be to use a standard WLS JAX-RPC client. This can be generated with their <clientgen> ant task.

The retrieved data is correct. The Database Adapter is pointing to an AS/400 table which does not have primary keys defined. In the offline database, I've defined CGVMSTCST to be the primary key.
The toplink_mappings.xml reflects that:

The value of this field for 3M is 101 (which was correctly picked up).

I did, but I'm not sure how.
I deleted the Database Adapter and the associated offline file and reran the wizard (having a better idea of how to implement a parameter search) and it worked.
I was not able to identify what was created differently the second time.

Error message when compiling invalid packages and procedures

Hi.
I have a routine for copying certain data from a production database to a test database. To do this I disable constraints and triggers, truncate tables, copy tables and enable triggers and constraints again.
Now several of my functions, procedures and packages are made invalid and marked with a red cross. In SQL Developer I can compile invalid functions, procedures and packages. When I compile functions it works fine, but when compiling procedures and packages I get the following error message:

When I click OK on this message I get a confirmation saying:
Packages have been compiled with #0.CNT# errors.
I had this error in both the previous and the new version. Is this a bug or is there a way to come around it? When I copy and modify the SQL generated to perform this task and run it in SQL Plus it works fine.
I use Windows 2000 5.00.2195 Service Pack 4, SQL Developer version 1.2.1, Oracle 9.2.0.8.0 and Java version 1.5.0_11

i have now upgraded to Java 1.6 update 2. I still get basically the same error, but it is presented a little bit differently:

We are going to install an Oracle 10 test database in a couple of weeks, so then I will find out whether the database version is the problem.

From SQL Reference Manual [REUSE SETTINGS|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14200/statements_1007.htm#BGBGEIGD]:
Specify REUSE SETTINGS to prevent Oracle from dropping and reacquiring compiler switch settings. With this clause, Oracle preserves the existing settings and uses them for the recompilation of any parameters for which values are not specified elsewhere in this statement.
For backward compatibility, Oracle Database sets the persistently stored value of the PLSQL_COMPILER_FLAGS initialization parameter to reflect the values of the PLSQL_CODE_TYPE and PLSQL_DEBUG parameters that result from this statement.

SQL Server 2008 R2 { An Error occured when attaching database(s) }

Hello Guys!
I just installed SQL Server 2008 R2 a couple of days ago, on the first day use i can attach database(.mdf) with out any problem.
on the day 2, i keep getting this error:

in that day i reinstall SQL Server 2008 R2, because I'm so confused. after that i try to attach i still got the same error, what i did is i share the folder where the database is.
i open SSMS and try to attach and i attached without any error...
i think this is the 4rth day, untill now everytime i want to attach a database i got this error, and even i try to share the folder where the database is i still got that error.
any advice guys?

if you want to be happy, find something you love to do and do it for free, then find someone to to you for it.

The Error clearly shows that MDF files and LDF files are not matching or LDF file is corrupted.
You can follow either of the one option below
1. Restore a recent backup rather attaching the MDF file
2. Attach single MDF file without LOG File( Warning: All the log transactions will be gone and new log file will be created)
EXEC sp_attach_single_file_db @dbname = 'AdventureWorks2008R2',
@physname = N'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Data\AdventureWorks2008R2_Data.mdf';

Strange error message when compiling an IPA ("multiple L$start$ labels found at same address in...")

I get this message when compiling an IPA with AIR 3.6:
ld: warning: multiple L$start$ labels found at same address in __ZN9NetStream12DispatchProcEP10NativeInfo at offset 0x06C0
Googling a bit, it seems it's an error message from this C++ class:

So I suppose it's a bug in the AIR for iOS compiler. Any clues about why am I getting that warning message?

I've been getting this message for quite a while, but I think a fix will soon be needed. I got the following message from Apple:

Xcode Error won't compile any new projects!?

If you can help, please do. I have been having this problem for a whole day now and its really becoming a pain in the head.
Whenever I create a new project (Im working in C and Objective-C) even if don't write any code and just try and run the starter ("hello world") code it returns this error....
ld: file not found: /Developer/TomsXcode/build/Toms_Xcode.build/Debug/Toms_Xcode.build/Objects-normal/x86_64/TomsXcode.o
Command /Developer/usr/bin/gcc-4.2 failed with exit code 1
So far what I have done is;
Completely uninstalled Xcode and its Library's using the command line in Terminal
Installed the new version of Xcode (3.2.3)
Result: Error message is still there...
I have absolutely no clue what to do.
