Errors not logged when IKM Oracle Multi Record Insert is selected

Dear All,
I am new in ODI 11g and I am facing the following problem:
I created a package with 3 Interfaces with Oracle Multi Record Insert.
In the first interface I load the source data to a temporary target
In the second interface target#1 table is loaded using interface#1
In the third interface target#2 is loaded using interface#1 and the multiple insert is executed and committed.
This works correctly, but when a data error occurs (e.g. mandatory column is null), instead of the error being logged in the Error table, execution of the last interface fails with the following error:
Caused By: java.sql.SQLIntegrityConstraintViolationException: ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into (<schema>.<table>.<column>)
I noticed that when I use Oracle Incremental Update instead, the errors get logged correctly in the error table.
Does anyone know what could be causing this?

I am afraid that this is a major issue for me, I do not want to re-query the source table for each target table, but on the other hand I cannot fail the process for each invalid record and I need the logging.
Can you think of a workaround for my use case?

Error in logs when starting server

Hi,
when i am trying to start my app server on sunone. I am getting the following errors in the logs.
CORE1116: Sun ONE Application Server 7.0.0_01
SEVERE: CORE1227: NSS initialization failed: SEC_ERROR_BAD_DATABASE: Problem using certificate or key database: Certificate database: /apps/sunone/sun-appserver7/var/domains/domain1/nicks-8033/config/cert7.db.
Thus any one knows why this error comes. I have installed a SSL certificate on this server. Can it be that this certificate has not been installed properly.

Ok, I finally got it figured out.
I needed the original (to that HTTP Server ) modplsql.dll.
There was no PATH issue.
Once I got the oracle_apache.conf calling plsql.conf and marvel.conf, using the correct DADs, I was all set. I post my solutions to save others some grief.
The original Service Temporarily Unavailable message (Mozilla) was due to the fact that the HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER account was locked after my upgrade.
Along the way, I ran into an access Forbidden error, which was caused by the incorrect password in the DAD.
Two simple things - unlock the HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER acount, and of course make sure the DADs are correct.
And as soon as I can I will be contacting Anton to combine all into one HTTP Server -thanks!

Errors in log when compiling .CHM files (RH10)

For some of our projects, some writers are seeing the following errors when compiling HTML help.
The errors refer to .htm files that do not belong to the project (and they never have). The .htm files are not listed in the root.fpj file, in the project folder, or in source control (Visual SourceSafe). Other writers can open the project and compile without errors, so it suggests that the writer encountering the error has some phantom files on their machine that the compiler is referencing.
We are seeing this with multiple projects, so I thought it was time to ask if anyone else has seen it or knows what might be causing it. It does not seem to have any effect on the .CHM file...everything looks like it is working. But it makes me uncomfortable to publish files knowing there were errors when compiling them.

As you state others have no issues, it would seem to be related to the setup on those writers' machines.
I think I'd approach it like this. Since you are referencing source control, this would mean the real content exists in the source control server. So you should be safe in totally clearing out the Working Folders of the affected PCs. So start there. Delete all files from the working folders of one of the affected PCs. Then open one of the projects that was issuing the warnings (your image listed simple warnings, not errors). This action should cause only the needed files to be copied down from the server.
Then compile and my guess is that the issue will have resolved itself.
And last but not least, I'd also ensure I had a decent backup of the folders in question before I did anything.

How to refresh error message log when displaying an order in WebUI?

When I create and save an order in WebUI, it shows error messages:
Details Business partner XXXXXXX has status "Not Released"
Details Business partner XXXXXXX has status "Locked"
Key User XXXXXXX may not be used.
Then I goto "BP" and correct corresponding business partner. But when I open order again in "Display" mode in WebUI, the error message is still there.
Is there any way to remove or refresh those incorrect error message in WebUI before display?

The scenario in here is that although the error has been rectified, the message still appears.
Check out method ADD_MESSAGE of the class CL_BSP_WD_MESSAGE_SERVICE.
All UI messages are raised via this class itself.
You may enhance this method and remove the second message.

Error While Logging in Query Designer`

We recently upgraded our system to BI7.0, I am trying to open Query designer, I am getting this error "terminate: the BW server has deactivated this version of Query Designer".......can anyone suggest valuable pts why I am getting this??

The error is happening because the bex version is restricted to 3.x in server.
You can check it in t-code RSZVERSION. Here you will be able to maintain minimum and maximum version which we can use for designer and analyzer.
This is done because the 3.x queries if opened and saved in 7.0 version, cannot be reverted back.
check the OSS note 582944 which may help you.
workaroud for this is dont click OK on the pop up of error message. you will be able to work on the query.
the designner will close only if you click ok on the popup.

-5002 error ("No Data ") when adding record to a UserTable

Here's my code. I've stripped it about as far as I could to try and solve this problem... but I must be missing something. Basically, I referenced the UIDIBasicApp for the UserTables portion.
In the "PopulateUserTable" subroutine, where I attempt to add the record with:
lngRetCode = objUserTable.Add()
... lngRetCode comes back as "-5002". The error message is "No Data ".
I've added records with the same data into the table through B1 User-Defined Windows and it accepts the data without a problem. I've been re-checking the code, and searching the forums and the help file since last week, and I haven't found any reference to a problem like this.

I have a form that I migrated to 10g from 6i. I have no problems with it in 6i.
When I launch this migrated form on the web in 10g, I get the following error:

SQL 2012 SP1 - How to determine a query that causes Error 8623 in SQL Log: The query processor ran out of internal resources and could not produce a query plan. This is a rare event...

We are getting multiple 8623 Errors in SQL Log while running Vendor's software.
How can you catch which Query causes the error?
I tried to catch it using SQL Profiler Trace but it doesn't show which Query/Sp is the one causing an error.
I also tried to use Extended Event session to catch it, but it doesn't create any output either.
Error:

According to your error message, about which query statement may fail with error message 8623, as other post, you can use trace flag 4102 & 4118 for overcoming this error. Another way is looking for queries with very long IN lists, a large number of
UNIONs, or a large number of nested sub-queries. These are the most common causes of this particular error message.
The error 8623 occurs when attempting to select records through a query with a large number of entries in the "IN" clause (> 10,000). For avoiding this error, I suggest that you could apply the latest Cumulative Updates media for SQL Server 2012 Service
Pack 1, then simplify the query. You may try divide and conquer approach to get part of the query working (as temp table) and then add extra joins / conditions. Or You could try to run the query using the hint option (force order), option (hash join), option
(merge join) with a plan guide.

QBE Error when query by String for Number column

Hi,
I have a table with Number column.
The column structure is like below:

<af:inputText>
<f:validator .../>
<af:converNumber ..../>
</af:inputtext>
</af:column>
QBE is enabled for this column.
It works fine when query by Number value, such as '123'. But when I query by string like 'asd', it will return an error.
Anyone met this problem?

I am using Jdev 11.1.1.7.0.
In my case,
I have a application table, from where user can create new row inline. Some fields in the row have type Long or Number. We are also using <af:converNumber ..../> inside <af:inputText> to do format.
I do have a query panel above the table. But we want the user can also filter the records using QBE. Other columns are working fine, except the columns with type 'Number' or 'Long'.
I checked the incident log, below are some useful information:
Caused by: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-01722: invalid number
Caused by: oracle.jbo.SQLStmtException: JBO-27122: SQL error during statement preparation. Statement: SELECT ... FROM ... WHERE ... AND ( ( (MeaRulesEO.DEFAULT_MEA_PERIOD = :vc_temp_1 ) ) )
It seems 'MeaRulesEO.DEFAULT_MEA_PERIOD = :vc_temp_1' causes the error. Jdev assumes every input from QBE header as number. If String is entered, Jdev will return error.
I also checked that if the table is read-only, this problem does not exist.
Please help on this. Thank you.

Getting the error "Error while trying to update record" when I try to force complete a plan in DAC

I am using OBIA 7.9.3.7 . One of my execution plan has finished executing all the tasks but it is still in running mode . When I try to force complete it , it gives the error " Error while trying to update record" . Upon checking the log file , I found the below errors :
MESSAGE:::ORA-04092: cannot COMMIT in a trigger
ORA-06512: at "DAC_CUSTSCM.ETL_FAIL_NOTOFICATION", line 9
ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger 'DAC_CUSTSCM.ETL_FAIL_NOTOFICATION'
EXCEPTION CLASS::: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException
The Plan is in running state for past couple of days . I tried to re-start the DAC services , but again it gave the same error . Kindly suggest .

GO_ITEM( ) procedure is resctricted procedure.It can not be used in Enter Query mode to navigate to an item in a different block.
You can check wheter rest of the procedures are Enter Query Mode -Yes/No thourgh forms help window.
