ERROR ORA-30200 IN RUNNING CREATION FILE - Forms [32 Bit]

Running a process of Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.5.35.3 get the error ORA-30200 while running the same process from a different computer file creation occurs in a correct way (This is a client-server)
The form uses the TEXT_IO and specifically the following functions
TEXT_IO.FILE_TYPE;
TEXT_IO.FOPEN (FILE, 'W');
TEXT_IO.PUT_LINE (OUT_FILE CR);
TEXT_IO.FCLOSE (OUT_FILE);
At this point I believe that the problem is not in form but more in the PC used for the implementation thereof; Can you help on what to monitor and especially if there are requirements for the client so that TEXT_IO functions properly.
Thank you very much ...

Daniele,
What is the format of the file name you are creating? I did a quick Google search and the common thread I found was a reference to a file name used "Long File Names" instead of the old 8.3 format. It is also possible that this error could result from the user not having permission to write to the file location.

  • Error ORA-01652 while running select query

    A select query returning millions of records is returning the following error.
    SQL Error [
    ORA-01652: unable to extend temp segment by 128 in tablespace TEMP
    We requested DBA to increased the TEMP tablespace. He increased it to 20GB and also, changed to Autoextent.
    When we executed the query again, we got the same error ?
    What could be the reason of this issue and how it can be resolved ?

    All sort operations that don't fit into the SORT_AREA_SIZE will go to the temp tablespace (they can be seen as direct writes in the trace file).
    It can easy be the case, that your temp tablespace needs to be many GB in size [we have a table with millions of rows and for the loading/merging our temp is 80GB in size].
    May be you can change your process of loading i.e. with this select you fill a intermediate table (with CTAS) and do your processing there or even try to do the processing in SQL while building the table. You could also try to do the processing with a cursor and BULK COLLECT LIMIT 100 and then inserting into the target table with the FORALL statement.

  • Error 2093 attempting to run Quicktime (Windows 7 64 bit)

    Hi, first time post.
    I have a HP Pavilion running Windows 7 64 bit (not sure about SP number). Anyway, after installing Quicktime I'm getting the 2093 error when attempting to run it. I see 2 entries of the .qts file, one under c:\program files (x86)\QuickTime\QTSystem, and C:\Windows\SysWow64. I've done the steps recommended several times, run uninstall, make sure there in nothing in \temp, but problem persists. I did a search but did not find a prev. issue similar to mine.
    Thanks

    Excellent news.
    It's never been clear which permissions are damaged in these cases, so it might be worth just setting the Player to always run as an administrator.
    Right-click on the QuickTimePlayer.exe again, but this time select "Properties". In the compatibility tab, check "Run as administrator", and click OK. You should be able to launch the Player "normally" from now on.

    There are 8 bean areas in the form and that matches the 8 ClassNotFound exceptions. My default-web-access.log file states GET /forms90/java/oracle/forms/webutil/clientInfo/GetClientInfo.class HTTP/1.1" 404 188 for all of the classes in the form and I believe a 404 code is not good. I have put all files in place (jacob,webutil), signed all, loaded latest jinitiator, referenced the object in the form and the form actually runs no problem except for the beans. Everything looks good and I am completely stumped at this point.
    Here are some files I have modified that point to the java files:

    orion-web.xml added:

    baseHTMLjpi=c:\oradevel\forms90\webutil\server\webutiljpi.htm
    baseHTML=c:\oradevel\forms90\webutil\server\webutilbase.htm

    "Why doesn't someone just please post the answer instead of passing the buck?"
    The error you report is a SYMPTOM of a underlying problem which USUALLY points to the issues documented in the FAQ. We have infact pointed you to a document that specifically outlines the POSSIBLE issues. However, you need to do some investigation - there can be many reasons why this symptom appears...I'm sorry that you think by pointing you to this that you thought we were passing the buck.
    "Your help would be greatly appreciated by myself and countless other oracle developers!" - which is exactly why we documented this in the FAQ....by posting it in the FAQ it leads people to all the common issues and is searchable on other forums as well.
    A final point - this forum is a self help group; a community of like minded people, many of who spend much valuable time helping others; if people are taking the time to help answer your questions its certainly not an indication of buck passing...they have infact gone out of their way to help..
    Hope that helps clarify and I hope the document helps solve your issues.

  • ORA -04062 when running forms aginst a different schema

    Hello,
    I am getting this error (ORA -04062 signature of 'procedure' has been changed)when I try to run my form aginst my test- schema (different from my development schema). I get rid of the error if I compile the form against the test schema. In the production environment I have to run this form against multiple schemas, so recompilation is not a possible solution.
    Has anybody else come across this problem.
    null

    Thanks John for your reply !
    I think my problem is close to the second thing you mention as a possible cause. I found out that I had used a parameter of type table%ROWTYPE in call to a pacakged procedure. When I defined a "TYPE MyRec IS RECORD" record type in my pacakge specification and used that as the type for the parameter my form seems to work against my test schema without recompilation. Unfortunately the table is pretty large so my package specification does not look so neat anymore. And I lost the dynamics associated with the %ROWTYPE attribute.

    That's a well-known bug. Its worse with a v7 database, but still can occur with 8/8i.
    A couple of things to look for:
    1) REMOTE_DEPENDENCIES_MODE is SIGNATURE instead of TIMESTAMP in init.ora.
    2) Forms that call stored procedures with a large parameter list (about 55 or more) can get a run-time error ORA-4062 if running on a different schema than where it was compiled.
    3) You can also hit a snag if you are calling a dbms_XX package within the form. Instead, call it within a db procedure, which you can call from the form.

  • ORA-01124: cannot recover data file 1 - file is in use or recovery

    I am trying to recover standby database, but it is giving the below error.
    ORA-00283: recovery session canceled due to errors
    ORA-01124: cannot recover data file 1 - file is in use or recovery, recovery is already stated
    ORA-01110: data file 1: 'I:\ORACLE\QAS\SAPDATA1\SYSTEM_1\SYSTEM.DATA1'
    when i checked in the alert log the recovery is not started. and later i hae given "alter database recover cancel' and the command end up with the below line
    "media recovery not started".
    it seems that the recovery has stuck in between.
    please advise me how to kill the recovery session that's stuck. because i dont want to bounce the standby database.
    thanks in advance.

    Without dataguard and MRP, you are running a scripted standby.
    In a scripted standby, a RECOVER DATABASE session would have an UNTIL clause (most likely UNTIL SEQUENCE). At the end of the recovery to that point (SEQUENCE#), it exits and shuts down the database.
    Also, the scripting is such that when one RECOVER session is active, another session is not allowed to start. It may loop in wait state or exit and retry at the next scheduled interval.
    Apparently your standby scripting is not robust enough to prevent another RECOVER session from starting off even as the first is active (and/or it doesn't have a proper UNTIL clause and stop, exit, shutdown actions)
    What you have is a custom implementation of a standby database. Without complete details of the script, the "locking" between sessions (to prevent a second RECOVER from starting when one is already running) etc .... we really cannot do much to help you.
    Your scripts should be maintaing status information . It should be possible for you to discover the "other" sqlplus session that has issued a RECOVER DATABASE but not yet exited (e.g. ... how about a simple "ps -ef |grep sql" and "ps -ef | grep ora" combination ??)
