Error : Query Templates

hi all,
In Query Templates(SQL and TAG), while selecting server name, its not displaying "modes" for it.
In Java console it is showing error as
<b>ERROR - Server is currently disabled (IDBC).
ERROR - The execution mode (CurrentWrite) is not supported with this Server or Content-Type.</b>
The connection is enabled in xMII. And i have also checked the connection status and it is showing success.
Where can i check the status for IDBC server?
Please help me

On a BI 7.0 system I try to run a query in the BEx Analyzer and after I have the result in Excel. I wants to see the key figure definition by right clicking in a data cell.
Then I get this error message after the browser has started up.

Any ideas how this can be?

Please check the below path in BI and set the template "0ANALYSIS_PATTERN" there:
SPRO ->SAP Netweaver -> BI ->Settings for reporting and analysis ->BEX Web -> Set Standard Web Templates -> Ad-hoc analysis -> set the above template and save it.
check wether it works afterwords or not.
This is the standard web template called every time when we execute our query's.

Passing query template name to BLS SQL action in the link editor

I want to have one transaction that uses the SQL query action, but which query template it uses will be dependent on some user input. I am having trouble passing the query name. I'm using the full file path in xml format (i.e. "c://<folder1>//<folder2>//<folderN>//"&PassedFileName&".xml", but with backslashes instead of forward slashes). I got an error around the connector, so I set that too. Then I got an error around mode, so I set it to "FixedQuery". Now I'm getting, "The Query expression was not set with the Query parameter".
There are only 3-5 possible queries that will be used, so I'd rather build SQL queries and just pass the transaction the name of the query, as opposed to passing the full text of the query each time.

If you haven't already done so, configure your master BLS transaction with a proper representative runtime variation, which will make the whole process simpler to create and troubleshoot. Quite often when people try to use the dynamic capabilities of MII, they end up getting confused because of user over-complication. In your SQLQuery action block make sure you configure it to a valid template that would be one that the user would provide as an input (don't forget to allow the generation of sample results for making any subsequent trx efforts easier). Then look in the link editor and you should see this string value for the query template link if you hover over the corresponding blue T icon. This will show you the format you need to provide from your Transaction input property (which should also have a valid default value assigned so you can test the transaction by itself, without needing to initially rely on the Xacute Query template layer.

Query Template Caching Properties

I need to change the IsCachable on the fly in an IRPT page. It seems every property is exposed in the query object EXCEPT IsCachable. Am I missing something?
Assuming I'm not, how can I simply tell the query template to NOT check the cache for this update AND not create a new cache. I know I can change the Rowcount, or anything really, so it won't match up with an existing cache. But IsCachable is true, and this will cause a new cache to be created, which I don't want.

The problem is I need to change the IsCachable property in a web page in response to user input (back and forth at will), and then re-update the applet(s) on the page. So I really need to drive this from javascript, changing IsCachable to whatever the user has selected and then doing the applet update. QueryObject.IsCachable returns an error, no method or property exists. It's also not listed in the Script Assistant.
The idea is I have a scheduled transaction that runs every few minutes and pre-caches BLS transactions that feed reports that are performance problems (Rajeev you should be able to relate to that one). When these reports are run, they now render in a few seconds. I display how old the data is, and have a checkbox they can tick to run the report again withouit using the cache if they have a problem with data that is 10 minutes, or whatever, old. They make the decision to wait for the absolute latest data. Doing this in Javascript is by far the easiest way to handle this. I just don't seem to have access to that IsCachable property.
Rick - It's interesting that you consider it easier to do your own caching. We started down this road and decided it was all getting too messy. It took a while to get total control over xMII caching, but now I find using it much cleaner.

Problem Calling MaxDB stored procedure with output from MII Query template

Hi,
I am using Max DB Database studio to write stored procedure, I am calling stored procedure from MII Query using CALL statement.
Can anyone guide me how to pass output values of stored procedure.

In the above line of code I am not able to get the output values of stored procedure that is isSuccess and Trace values in Query template when executed. But same thing I get when executed in Database studio.
How do I call with outputs for any stored procedure in MII.
Any help would be appriciated.

I am able to insert record in DB, But I am not getting output values in Query template.I have done this in Fixed Query, when I execute it throws me "Fatal error as Loaded content empty".
I tried giving select below call but it dont work.

Stored Procedure Output Issue in Query Template

Hi,
We have written a stored procedure which returns 3 outputs which are of type CLOB. Whenever we call the procedure from query template it gives an error Wrong number or type of parameters. It seems that we need to pass some variables which are of type clob to the procedure while calling which we cannot do as per my knowledge in query template.
Even if we are able to get the output we will not be getting complete output since the out put values are of type CLOB.
Can you guide me how to achive this

Hi,
Sometime back i faced the similar problem. But I used oracle pipelined functions to achieve this....
The basic thing is it will break the chunk into records of length of 4000 chars and it will return in a table. And from other end you can loop and concatenate. Hope this helps....

How to use ColumnList MOde in Query Template

I am working on SAP MII 11.5 and having trouble with SQL Query Template with Column List mode.
It is throughing an error "Enter a table Name.
Please help me in this regard

You will need to use the Group parameter with the table name.
<PARAM NAME="Group" VALUE="Employees">
You can also set it with javascript for interactive use that would emulate the Template Editor:

Dear all,
I am running BI 7.0 for 2 years and implementing CRM in a separate server now. We have CRM Web UI set up and has using links to BI reports.
It is frustrated since most links are using BW 3.X template and I am running BI 7.0 so I have to trace and install BW 3.x BI-CONTENT in 7.0 system. I was able to track down the data source of business content in CRM side and the data source, DSO, infocube, query and webtemplate in BI side. I ran through the CRM interactive reporting configuration guide (C41) and BI Connectivity (B84). I am sure the connection is setup between CRM and BI and the data source from the both sides are activated. I test and the web template 0TPLB_0CSAL_C01_Q0021_is working from BI side. I also added the web template in SPRO - CRM -> CRM analytics -> Define BI report in CRM.
However, when I click on the report - customer report with open activities from CRM Web UI and am getting the error -Error loading template 0TPLB_0CSAL_C01_Q0021_1. is anything I need to setup so I can pull the web template in CRM from BI?
The only thing I confuse which is BWA5. For example, the data sources for 0TPLB_0CSAL_C01_Q0021_1 is 0CRM_CONTACT_OUT at RSA5 and I don't see 0CRM_CONTACT_OUT in BWA5. Do I need to create one in BWA5?

Facing problem in query template editor

Hi All,
After creating connection to MySQLserver in my machine through DATA Servers after that i tried to access that server(through name of server ex:mysqlconnect) in
query template editor by following the procedure then i am not getting the modes list
procedure what we followed:
Data Servers->query template editor->select new->select TagQuery->select mysqlconnect
here in modes window i have to get modesbut i am not getting anything except message "No Data Available".
In the same way there is one more in Tag Query section that is simulator where i am getting all modes.
Please help me out how to get that modes for the connection we have created(mysqlconncet)

Based upon the simple nature of this inquiry, and the responses so far, I am speculating that you are very new to the product and have not had any formal product training. I would encourage you to pursue the SAP education courses to get a proper foundation on the xMII software.
'No Data Available' always implies that a Fatal Error occured and in the case of the Template Editor you will see additional information in the Sun Java Console which should give you indication as to the underlying issue. The console is the same place to look if you encounter this error message in any of the runtime applets.
Any error like this also produces an error message along with all sorts of additional troubleshooting details in the general logs which are accessible from the main Menu.

XMII OLAP Query Template SAP Variables Count Limit

While working with the MII OLAP Query template and connecting to a a BW Adhoc query with many input variables. I have noticed the SAP Variables list available in the MII OLAP Query template seems to be limited. Is this really true, can it be configured to display more variables, is there something else that would cause variales not to be displayed in the query template list?
I have tried to type in SAP variables not displayed in the list but actually in the BW Query but this just resulted in an error.
Any insight would be really helpful. Thanks

One again drawing some analogies here , this time with the JCO. Suppose you are interfacing to a ZBAPI and at some point you make some changes to the Z function in R/3. These changes are not automatically reflected in MII unless you refresh/clear the JCO Proxy. Could a similar scenario be attributing to your issue?
What I would suggest is to disable / save / enable / save your OLAP data server and see if that makes any differnce.
I may be totally off track here but just a thought.

Query Template Not Loading

Hi,
We are using XMII 12.0 and NW 7.1,
We have deployed Query templates in web pages and while loading , applets are not loading...
in NWA we saw the following error
Unable to load template PATH [pathId=<id no>,<Query Template Path>]..
Category: /Applications/XMII
Location: com.sap.xmii.Illuminator.templates.TemplateManager
Application: sap.com/xappsxmiiear
but the template mentioned in the error is in the same path and working fine if we open from work bench.
and also we are seeing the following error.
Exception of type com.sap.sql.log.OpenSQLException caught: Synchronisation reader could not access data source java:comp/env/jdbc/XMIIDataSource..
Pages are not working...
What is the problem? How to solve it?

I think that you have the wrong version of NW for the installation of MII 12.0. It is not NW 7.1 (NWCE), but rather 2004s (7.0?).
Check the installation guide. There may be some other downloads required before loading NW.

How to set the table input in Query template?

I need to call a Bapi_objcl_change, with import parameter and a table as an input. I have done this, in BLS. I have set the table input in the
form of xml. In BLS, I get the output(the value gets change in SAP R3, what i have given in BLS). But if i set the same xml structure in
query template, I didn't get the output. Table input parameter does not take that xml source. How to set the table input in Query template?

You probably need to XML encode the data so that it will pass properly and then xmldecode() it to set the BAPI input value.

I have activated the Template in BI Content and able to check the same in WAD and also in RS Template Maintain in BI system.
But as soon as i go to CRM Web UI portal and click on that link its saying Error Loading template 0TPLB_MKTG_C01_Q0001_V01.
I have also given the settings in CRM SPRO --> Display SAP BI Netweaver Reports --> Given the Web Template id, but still iam not able to get the template worked..
Could any one of you suggest.

I have report already developed by someone in powerpivot 2010 and deployed to sharepoint in powerpivot gallery library. The data source for this report is SQL Server 2008 r2. I have set the refresh options in sharepoint to run after business hours during
week end. When I check the refresh history it shows this error message "OLE DB or ODBC error: Query timeout expired; HYT00. An error occurred while processing the 'xxx' table. The current operation was cancelled because another operation in the
transaction failed..
I have tried to run the "Also refresh as soon as possible " just to check but same error message is shown.
