Error rollback in same transaction

I am working in a scenario where I am creating a sample customer with contact record as input and pushing it to a JMS Queue through JMS producer. Then JMS consumer is picking up that message and routing it two different Database Adapter Services (two separate SOA composite projects) – one for inserting customer data and another for inserting customer contact data.
I have used XA transaction all throughout in the data source and Database Adapter Outbound connection Pool.
I am using Mediator in the JMS Consumer project and have chosen ‘Synchronous’ execution rule. I am trying to insert customer data before the customer contact.
I want to rollback the first insertion if there is some error in the second insertion. But when there is some error in the second insertion, first one is not getting rolled back. Can you please tell me how to achieve this?
I have replaced Mediator with BPEL and have set the following properties in composite.xml.
<property name="bpel.config.transaction">required</property>
<property name="bpel.config.oneWayDeliveryPolicy">sync</property>
But still I am getting the same result.

Thanks for reference, confirmation of use of execute function.
I read those pages and other related pages in "Oracle® Streams Concepts and Administration" too.
I am able to write an error handler to handle errors with regular apply process. It is logging "no data found" errors but failing in case of foreign key violations. Error handler takes any kind of error and logs a record into errorlog table and ignores the error. I think it is not calling error handler. I checked for handlers in dba_apply_dml_handlers table. There is a handler for Inert, update and delete. I am investigating it further now. If you have any leads, please post.
Thanks for your time and help.

    Summary
    Symptom
    You work in localization where folio numbers for documents are used.
    Two users are working simultaneously on SAP Business One (either via SAP Business One application or via an Add-on).
    Both users are creating Invoice (or performing any action when max folio number is retrieved from the numbering table NNM1).
    It may happen that one of the users will encounter deadlocks while working, usually with one of the following error messages:
    '-2038 Internal error'
    'Error (-1200) DBMCconnBase:: EndTransaction - Error -1 detected. auto rollback flag is off. throwing exception'
    'Internal error NNM1 2038'
    The deadlock can appear on NNM1 table and OINV table.

  • Getting Error while saving a transaction without making any changes to it.

    Hi All,
    I have a page where in the advance table I add few rows and save the transaction. First time when I save it everything works fine, but when I save it again without making any changes to the fields I get following error:
    "Unable to perform transaction on the record. \nCause: The record has been deleted by another user. \nAction: Cancel the transaction and re-query the records to get the new data."
    In the same page if I make any changes again it allows me to save the transaction.
    Please guide how we can avoid it..
    I have already checked many threads related to the issue but nothing has worked. Please help!!
    Any help would be highly appreciated..

    Hi All,
    please help!!

  • Error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)

    Hi,
    I was going to install a winff package (a GUI front end to ffmpeg for converting between video formats), but when I ran yaourt -S winff and tried to install it refused because it isn't for the x86_64 architecture. So I decided to edit the PKGBUILD and perhaps try to force it anyway, but then I saw that the PKGBUILD is actually getting the precompiled RPM package and as I checked, while there was no precompiled 64bit version of the RPM there was one for a deb version that is offered on winff site.
    Since deb's are just archives I ended up, after a few tries, with this PKGBUILD which uses ar and tar commands to get to the binaries inside of the amd64 deb:
    # Contributor: yugrotavele <[email protected]>
    # Modified by libervisco for x86_64
    pkgname=winff-amd64
    pkgver=0.42
    pkgrel=1
    pkgdesc="GUI for ffmpeg"
    url="http://www.winff.org"
    license=('GPL')
    depends=('ffmpeg gtk gdk-pixbuf')
    makedepends=('')
    source=('http://winff.googlecode.com/files/winff-0.42-amd64.deb')
    arch=('x86_64')
    md5sums=('1febf5fd19fa76bdc1da06d3e6c4d3b8')
    build() {
    ar vx winff-0.42-amd64.deb
    tar xvzf data.tar.gz
    install -Dm755 $startdir/src/usr/bin/winff $startdir/pkg/usr/bin/winff
    install -Dm755 $startdir/src/usr/share/winff/presets.xml $startdir/pkg/usr/share/winff/presets.xml
    install -Dm755 $startdir/src/usr/share/winff/winff.png $startdir/pkg/usr/share/winff/winff.png
    So what I basically do is run yaourt -S winff and when it asks whether I want to edit it, I edit it and replace the original PKGBUILD content with above.
    It successfully runs the build() commands, finds and installs the dependencies, but when it's time to install the actual new winff package is throws up this:
    loading package data...
    checking dependencies...
    error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
    :: winff: requires ffmpeg gtk gdk-pixbuf
    I don't get it. It installed all the dependencies (and I even checked whether winff works in one of the earlier tries when I manually installed gdk-pixbuf when the binary asked for it). What does it want now?
    Here is the whole process:
    [daniel@memeport ~]$ yaourt -S winff

  • BDC session error handling for IW41 transaction

    Hi,
    When the order confirmation is done by BDC session program, it is executed without any error. But if we do the same process manually, it is showing the error message as 'Posting period is Locked for 001 2012'. My question here is why this is not happening when it is executed through bdc session program.
    Anyone can help us?
    Thanks,
    Guna

    It is difficult to believe that you would get good results from background BDC process and error in foreground using same transaction and exactly the same data.  Beyond that, why is month 1 of the current year locked?    Are you absolutely sure that:
    BDC works correctly? maybe does NOT and the errors have been missed or ignored?
    Data is precisely the same for both BDC sessions?
    Same transaction is called?
    Sounds silly perhaps, but I have to believe that something is very different between the two sessions.

  • Error while setting up Transactional Replication

    Hi Team,
    I am getting below error while configuring Transactional Replication.
    Specifically, when I started configuring the distributor that when I am getting below error. I am getting this in GUI as well TSQL script as well.
    SQL Server could not configure 'TEST-PC\SQL2K8' as a Distributor.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch. (Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo)

    Changed database context to 'master'. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 14430)
    Background of the error.
    ========================
    I installed 3 sql instances of "SQL Server 2008 Developer edition, SP3 (x64)".
    I started configuring a remote distributor using one of the instance and error started popping up.
    Initially I had the replication running fine and I removed it and tried to reconfigure distributor thats when the error starting popping up.
    The folder physically exists and the service account has full permissions and I have logged in as service account and trying to setup Transactional Replication.
    He is local administrator on the box and also sysadmin login at sql server level.
    Not sure why this error is popping up.....
    After wasting a lot of time. I tried to install 3 new fresh instances with same service pack level i.e. sp3, but still the error remains the same.
    Appreciate if anyone can guide me resolving this issue.
    Thank you.

    We have been seeing a strange intermittent problem with MDBs in a clustered WLS 9.1 environment. From time to time, one of the MDBs on the second managed server runs into a problem where it is unable to start a transaction, and the message is automatically transferred to the appropriate JMS error destination before the logic within the onMessage method is even invoked. This results in a situation where our app logs have no record that the message was ever received, so we continually have to go out to the error destinations to see if there are any messages. This problem does not appear to follow any pattern, and occurs randomly with pretty much all of our MDBs on the second server. The stack trace from the log is below. Any help in tracking down the cause of this problem would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Sabrina

  • Getting error after enabling the Transaction in SSIS package in Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard machine

    Hi,
    I created a package with "Execute SQL Task and Data Flow Task". I am able to execute successfully in my server having
    "Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard" Operating System.
    But after enabling the Transaction in my SSIS Package I am not able to execute it. It is giving error. The same package is running in my local machine with Transaction enabled on
    Windows 7 Operation System.
    The error which I got in my server after enabling the Transaction is
    "The SSIS Runtime has failed to enlist the OLE DB connection in a distributed transaction with error 0x8004D025
    "The partner transaction manager has disabled its support for remote/network transactions.".  End Error "
    I search with this error message in google and found some solutions in the following links
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/7172223f-acbe-4472-8cdf-feec80fd2e64/the-partner-transaction-manager-has-disabled-its-support-for-remotenetwork-transactions
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753510(WS.10).aspx
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817064
    But none of the above solution is not working. Kindly help me to resolve this issue.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Sridhar

    Hi Sridhar,
    Please compare the DTS settings on the Windows 7 computer and the Windows Server 2008 R2 computer and make sure they are identical.  Make sure the “Allow Inbound” and “Allow Outbound” options are check, and pay attention to the authentication mode as
    well.
    Besides, make sure both Distributed Transaction Coordinator (TCP-In) and Distributed Transaction Coordinator (TCP-Out) rules in Firewall are enabled.
    If the issue persists and there are any security/anti-virus software, temporarily disable the security/anti-virus software and check the issue again.

  • Cmp 2.0 how to rollback all related transactions

    Hi,
    As to rollback in cmp 2.0, I'm wondering:
    1. how to make a rollback (is call rollbackOnly the only way)?
    2. how to define within same transactions when an exception caught, rollback all other trans?
    3. modify in descriptor or in code, how? what's diff
    Thanks
    John

    Hi,
    As to rollback in cmp 2.0, I'm wondering:
    1. how to make a rollback (is call rollbackOnly the
    only way)?Yes. Entity beans can only have Container-managed transactions,
    so the only way to tell the container to mark the tx as rollback only
    is to call EntityContext.setRollbackOnly().
    >
    2. how to define within same transactions when an
    exception caught, rollback all other trans?There is no such behavior in EJB or J2EE. There is
    no special relationship/association like this
    between J2EE transactions. E.g., there are no
    nested transactions in J2EE. All transactions are
    independent and peers of one another.

  • "Error occurs when loading transaction data from other model" - BW loading into BPC

    Hi Experts,
    I'm having a problem with my data loading from BW, using the standard Load InfoProvider Selections data manager package.
    If I run for a period without data it succeeds (with warning) but if there is data to be extracted I get the following error:
    Task name CONVERT:
    No 1 Round:
    Error occurs when loading transaction data from other model
    model: AIACONS. Package status: ERROR
    As it runs ok when there isn't data it appears there is something preventing the movements of data out of the cube itself, rather then a validation issue.
    Has anyone encountered similar or have any ideas as to the problem?
    Best,
    Chris

    Hi Vadim,
    It's not specific to the transformation file as I have tried with others for the same BW cube and get the same result.
    We get a warning when we try and validate the transformation file:
    "Error occurs when loading transaction data from other model".
    This only appears in the validation pop up and doesn't throw up any warnings about the transformation file itself.  The validation log says:
    Validate  and Process Transformation File Log
    Log creation time
    3/7/2014 16:09
    The result of validation of the
      conversion file

    FAIL
    Validation Result
    Validation Option
    ValidateRecords = NO
    Message

    I can't find any errors anywhere else.

  • Error occurs when loading transaction data from other model

    Hello Experts, I am trying to validate my transformation file and I can see peculiar behaviour of the transformation file. Even though the transformation file is not complete/  complete with all the mappings, i am getting the same error as above.

    Hi,
    By
    *MAPPING
    CUSTOMER = *NEWCOL (NO_CUST)
    you want CUSTOMER to receive a fixed string "NO_CUST"?
    If so use,
    *MAPPING
    CUSTOMER = *STR (NO_CUST)

  • Could we get a deadlock error on COMMIT (END TRANSACTION) in BDB-SQL

    According to the DB_TXN->commit documentation at:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17076_02/html/api_reference/C/txncommit.html
    "After DB_TXN->commit() has been called, regardless of its return, the DB_TXN handle may not be accessed again.
    If DB_TXN->commit() encounters an error, the transaction and all child transactions of the transaction are aborted."
    Since BDB-SQL uses the BDB engine, should the code handle such errors in BDB-SQL?
    Another point to keep in mind is that, post BDB-SQL version 5.1 upon receiving a potential deadlock error all the previous operations(child transactions) in the same transaction are still valid and can be committed.
    It would be great if someone can throw some light on this.

    I do not think commit can experience a deadlock error since it does not obtain any new locks, and it could not have been in a blocked state if you are able to call commit. Either way, after calling commit on a transaction in SQL the transaction is done, even if an error is returned. At that point if an error is returned the transaction (and all the work its children have done) is either aborted under the covers, or the database has been corrupted, and all future calls to it will return a corruption error that will require restarting the database to restore it (and the restoration will roll back any work done by the transaction since it did not complete cleanly).
    Hope that answers your question.
    Lauren FoutzLauren, thanks for the reply. From your reply, though there is little possibility that we can get an error on commit looks like we should be prepared to handle such errors in BDB-SQL. We have had instances where we experienced an error on commit while using native BDB (without SQL API) and wanted to confirm the same.You are correct. Error when committing are rare in both the SQL and native API, but they can happen and you should deal with them when they do.
