Error running setupvirtualdirectories.bat during install
Hello Everyone,
I am trying to install an addtional copy of Agile PLM for Process 6.1 for testing.
When I get to the point of creating the virtual directories through the command line I get several errors.
Errnumber: -2147221020 <0x800401E4>
Error Accessing the object: w3svc/2/root/drl
Im using:
Windows 7
IIS 7.5
SQL Server 2005
any ideas?
has anyone else experienced this?
syntax is correct. what happens if you run
SetupCoreVirtualDirectories.bat c:\Prodika_Home 2 PLM4P_MAIN ?
if that doesn't work, either, then maybe you don't have the IIS6 Management Compatability installed or it's a permissions issue.

Error 2869 in Vista during install of Dev Env 1.3
If you try to install the version 1.3 of the Developer Environment on Vista, there is a change you may get an error 2869 during install.
This has to do with the UAC in Vista and requires some special handling when creating the installer package.
I don't know if this will reach the developers at SAP, but here is some references to how to handle the problem:

Error running root.sh at install time.
I tried to install the Oracle 11gR2 on two Linux virtual machines,
and got problems. I tried everything I found in the forums, but nothing helped.
The output from "uname -a" is

The problem is when running the root.sh on the first machine.
Changing permissions of /u01/app/oraInventory.
Adding read,write permissions for group.
Removing read,write,execute permissions for world.
Changing groupname of /u01/app/oraInventory to oinstall.
The execution of the script is complete.

After the installation of the 9.0.2 infrastructure I've installed wireless. During the deployment of the webtool, customization, wirelessSDK in the OC4J_Portal instance I got the following error:

On metalink I've found out that more people have had this problem. I've read about bug 2507365 and a patch in 9.0.3 but I couldn't find a real solution for the problem.
Does this error has something to do with a confuguration of a previous installation of another user?
Is there an easy way to work around this problem? Can I change something in the access rights and deploy the wireless administration tools in the OC4J_Portal instance manually? Would safe me a lot of time.

So the instances in the OC4J_Portal were not deployed during installation. After trying to manually deploy
the webtool.ear and associate the usermanager with JAZN LDAP User Manager (ldap://<hostname>:4032). I get the
following error:

Trouble installing AOL software-error code and message during instal
I had the earliest version of AOL software installed initially with the intro of Mac OS 10. Upgrading to the latest version of AOL's software for OS 10, now using OS 10.4.4, interupts during the installation process with the message 'Error creating folder' and the code 1008:9,-5000.
I have deleted all files referencing any other version of AOL on the computer including all items in System 9 (I also used this opportunity to delete all vestiges of System 9 from the computer). Everything is up to date on the computer. Both AOL online and telephone support were worthless. Any help would be appreciated.problem was solved much later by installing the program onto a blank CD-R and then moving it onto the hard drive in the applications folder. Never figured out what the error message meant

Our Post Office is 8.02. My workstation (testing)
*had* the 8.02 Client which I've uninstalled, ran
the GW CleanIT utility, and have been attempting
to install the 7.02 Client...
Whether I install using the Groupwise.msi or use
the setup.exe to install, I'm getting errors on
five .dll files (all the same message, except citing
different .dll files):
"Unable to load 'GWMXL1EN.DLL' language resource
file. Language resource file 'GWMXL1US.DLL' loaded."
Other files:
GWDTA1EN.DLL
GWATT1EN.DLL
GWMIM1EN.DLL
GWABDGEN.DLL
....if I run the setup.exe file a second time, and
select the "Repair" option, the errors disappear
until the next reboot.
In know the *EN.DLL files replaced the *US.DLL files
in later releases of GroupWise. I did a search in the
Registry, for references to a couple of the *EN.DLL
files--not nothing showed up, so I don't know where
GroupWise is attempting to load the newer .DLL files
from...
Can someone recommend a fix for this?

Quicktime errors during install, uninstall, or run
Quicktime errors during install, uninstall, or run. No error code. It just says it encountered an error and must exit.
I located a previous response that satisfied my issue. Below is the process that allowed me to use quicktime.
The "fatal error" in this context has (recently) been indicating trouble with old, misplaced QuickTime componentry lurking about in your system.
(Whether or not the message is a symptom of that problem seems to depend on what version of old misplaced stuff is lurking and what version of QuickTime proper we're trying to install or uninstall ... but in recent times, there's been an uptick in fatal errors being caused by that.)
So let's try investigating that possibility first.
First we'll adjust some view settings on the PC.
1. Open My Computer from the desktop or Start menu.
2. In the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
3. Click the View tab.
4. In the "Advanced settings" pane under "Hidden files and folders" make sure that the "Show hidden files and folders" option is selected, and the "Hide extensions for known file types" option is unchecked.
5. Click OK.
Now in "My Computer" open Local Disk C: (or whichever drive your operating system is installed on).
Open the "Windows" folder.
Open the "System32" folder.
What files or folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the file or folder name? (In a standard installation of QuickTime, you should see precisely two files ... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.) -

sandaruwanIts not dropping the tables so when it recreates if fails. You may need to drop table manually by running the drop_esb_tables.sql script.

Error During INSTALL of Application Export File
An error is reported during INSTALL of an application that I am trying to copy (Import/Install) from a "development" Work Space into a "production" Work Space. The production (target) Work Space is on the same HTML DB instance as the development Work Space.
I am receiving the following INSTALL error:
ORA-20001: GET_BLOCK Error. ORA-20001: GET_STMT error. ORA-20001: Execution of the statement was unsuccessful. ORA-06550: line 15, column 1: PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol &quot;,'39','RD8','8','S','10','U','43','UD','41','UG','11','W')) END)&quot; when expecting one of the following: . ( * @ % &amp; = - + ; &lt; / &gt; at in is mod remainder not rem &lt;an exponent (**)&gt; &lt;&gt; or != or ~= &gt;= &lt;=
Following is some pertinent (hopefully) information:
The above INSTALL error takes exception to part of a Region Select (sql) that works fine in the development Work Space.
The common HTML DB (v1.6) instance is on UNIX.
A new Work Space was created on the same instance.
A new schema name was created during creation of the new Work Space. However, this schema does not point to a database. (We were not certain how to setup the schema to parse to our live database.) I will be running DBLINK upon production application startup in order to access the database objects.

Any suggestions on things to try in order to get application into production is greatly appreciated.

Can someone tell me what this error means; "ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error"
I had Oracle XE on my Windows XP Pro SP3, but I also install the EE of Oracle which I haven't setup yet. Originally when I run this .bat file by double clicking on it, "setup_distran_database.bat", everything worked fine. But now, I am getting tghe above error. Not sure if it was because I installed Oracle EE.

Not sure if it was because I installed Oracle EE.Most probably yes, Windows has the last installed product environment. Try setting XE environment before running sqlplus, something likeset ORACLE_SID=XE

Error occurred during install of assembly policy 8.0.microsoft.vc80.CRT
I've been trying to upgrade to itunes 9 on windows vista system. During the install, it says "error occurred during installation of assembly policy 8.0.microsoft.vc80.CRT, version 8.0.50727.403 type win 32 policy public key token=1fc8b3b901e18e3bprocess architecture=x86 Quicktime installs OK, but Itunes install is interruped -- Apple Support install portion is rolled back after this error pops up. I went thru suggested Apple troubleshooting options, got same error. Ran install as administrator from desktop, also did not work. Tried installing both thru apple software updater and directly from Apple website -- still get error. I asked about this on Microsoft site, they sent me back here. thanks for any solutions.
flabud, here are the next steps that I would suggest.
1) If you haven't done so already, reenable McAfee. I'm guessing that you've already done that though.
2) Create a manual restore point. You can also do this after each of the following steps if they are successful but you don't have to necessarily do it each time. One restore point at the beginning should suffice.
3) Disable Windows Defender so that it no longer has possible conflicts with McAfee. McAfee put out this notice earlier this year because the combination of those two programs were causing problems and that notice describes how to disable WD. You should also uncheck Windows Defender using MSConfig (Startup tab) after disabling it as described in the notice. One of my systems had the exact error message described in the notice and since disabling WD it has encountered no further problems.
4) Check Programs and Features in Control Panel for the following programs and install using the associated links if they do not show up. Restart after each installation and then check to make sure the install was successful in Control Panel.
a) Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86)
b) Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (if MS .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 already exists then do not install this)
{I added this because I had problems with this install at the time of the McAfee/WD conflict}
5) Run Windows Update and install any Important or Recommended updates. The installation of the programs in step 4 should allow the others to complete successfully but if any still fail make a note of them as you did before.
6) If everything completes successfully to this point then reattempt the installation of iTunes using the file that you have in the Downloads folder.
I've written the steps in the order that they should be done so if you run into a snag in any step let us know before proceeding to the next step. -
Error during install of the iTunes 11.0.1 update on Windows Vista
Error during the process of installing the iTunes update to 11.0.1, when iTunes attempts to write to file C:\Config.msi\b530a0c.rbf. iTunes says it can't access that directory, but i'm installing iTunes as an Administrator. And i don't find the specified file in this directory on my c:\ drive
I seem to have solved this problem as follows:
1. Download the iTunes.exe file from apple.com, but save the file to my Desktop rather than running it.
2. Execute (double click) the iTunes.exe file from my Desktop.
3. When i encountered the problem that i've reported (the iTunes installer announces that it can't access a file in the c:\config.msi directory, i clicked the Retry button in the error window. The iTunes installer process appeared to move past the error.
4. I experienced the same error one more time during my apparently successful iTunes 11.0.1 install, but the 2nd time this error came up iTunes reported that it was trying to access a different file name in the c:\config.msi directory. Again, i clicked the Retry button in the error window and the iTunes installer appeared to move on past the error. -

Any advice please !!I can't answer your question but I had a similar issue when I was trying to move our mailbox database off the C: drive. Our environment still has an Exchange 2007 server in it and when I was trying to move the database on the 2013 server, I would get
error messages saying the database does not exist. It seemed like it was trying to move the database on the 2007 server from the similar error messages that I was getting. To get around it, I deleted the database and created a new one on the drive
where we wanted it.
I discovered this when I was configuring the Antispam settings. I deleted our 2007 settings, added them to the 2013 shell, the settings appeared on our 2007 server. The shell on 2013 was making changes to 2007.
I'm not sure if there is a "Get|Set or New" command that I/we should be using when this happens. Or maybe my issues will be fixed if I just remove the Exchange 2007 server? I'm not ready to do that yet because I can't configure the spam filtering
on 2013 yet with its shell not being able to make the changes that we need.
I don't know if your environment is in coexistence mode like mine.
Hopefully someone else out there has an answer or can tell us when/how the shell can make the appropriate changes to the 2013 server. Does this happen after the 2007 server is removed?
