i am working on SAP workflow. when I execute the same, I get the following error
Error: Error '9' when calling service 'SO_OBJECT_SEND'

Run report HRALXSYNC and you will solve this.
We have faced this issue many times and the solution we have applied is
1. This issue occurs on a step that is dialog where some agent needs to either approver or reject.
2. You should check the rule (Agent determination rule in that step).
Run that rule with the workflow data (use scenario with which you are getting error).
Run the rule individually and check if you are getting right result.
this error most of the time id due to the fact that the rule is not be able to determine next processor of the workitem.
Error 9 when calling service SO_OBJECT_SEND SWF_RUN535
to assure you can hardcode the user for test in the rule and run the workflow as that is the most effective analysis that will help you determine the cause.
I have never seen this error on a background step unless there is a mail step involved.
You need to run the report HRALXSYNC to synchronize HR objects which will surely solve this issue.

I've never had this problem, so here's just an educated guess: Are you changing one part in a multipart document?
In any case you should provide a lot more information to make it easier for everyone to help. Just a few examples:
- Is the workflow a SAP standard one, or a custom one?
- Is the object (BOR or class) a SAP standard one, or a custom one?
- Do you get this error every time (for all documents) or not?
- What is your SAP release?

I need help regarding a workflow error I encountered during a workflow run, the error is as follows:
when I click the "red" traffic light right besides the broken box a pop up of the error log shows:

Does the error message give any more information? What sort of step does it happen at?
Did it also happen in the last run of that workflow? If not, compare the contents of the containers, one of the elements may be missing a value.

Error after changes in workflow file (.wft)

Hello Friends,
I have got one customization request in workflow notifications and that required changes in standard packages.
I have made custom copies of those with required changes and then opened workflow file in wordpad and replaced the standard package with the custom copy( I guess this is the method to do it , if there is any other pls let me know) in wft file.
But i am getting errors which indicate that workflow is not able to call the custom components. The error is saying that package is invalid but when i checked from backend , the package status is valid.
Is this an issue with access level in workflow?

Error during Activation of Workflow

I have an error while activating the workflow.
The error is "Subsequent node not found " for Process control task for function "Complete workflow " at the end of the workflow block.

SM37 is mainly for monitoring the back ground jobs...... both in R/3 side and BW side this is same.. just for monitoring the background jobs... fisrt by using SM36 basis people will schedule in background.. and we just identify.. which are completed and which are not completed... in SM37.
there are various status they are
PLANNED
RELEASED
CANCELLED
ACTIVE
FINISHED
READY

In Sm37 u can see the different options for background jobs, like Scheduled, released, ready,active, finished, canceled.. If u want to know the Status of the current running job, U just type the job name, user name then click execute(F8).

Cannot execute workflow process definition

Hi,
I am new to Siebel. We are researching on Siebel Public Sector Case screens.
I have installed Siebel Client & Tools and defined the Debug configurations in the Tools. When I hit F5 in Tools, the Client loads. However, when I click on the Eligibility button on the Case screen I am rendered the error: *"cannot execute workflow process definition 'PUB Eligibility Determination Workflow'. (SBL-BPR-00158)"*.
Browsing through the Administration - Business Process -> Workflow Monitor, I noticed that none of the Workflows (available in the Tools) are getting displayed. Please let me know if there is any configuration that I might have missed out.

Hi,
In case this is a new installation of Siebel, by default Workflow processes are not activated on the Server. As a result you will face the mentioned error.
In this case just go to the Administration - Business Process -> Workflow Deployment -> Repository Workflow Processes and in the top applet query for the Workflow causing the error. Also query for the same in the lower applet as well. If there is no record in the lower applet or if the Repository Version in the lower applet is not matching to that on the upper applet, you need to click on the Activate button on the Top applet to enable the latest version on the server.
By Check In process it means that you check-out i.e. lock a particular object for exclusive modification and then checking it in i.e. publishing the changes onto the server for all the other developers.

How to generate the User-Input XML Body for executing workflows via REST APIs: The Solution

I see that executing a workflow via REST APIs requires lot of work to be done just to prepare the right User-input XML body. Any mistake and you have some major debugging to do. Larger the number of User-Inputs, the bigger is the problem.Life is so much easier at the WFA GUI with Display names and tooltip help for User Inputs which are very easy for reading and providing the right values. I don't have any such privileges when manually preparing the User-Input XML body.It’s been asked numerous times how to provide User-Input values for type table, or Query (Multi-Select) etc. These are complex User-Input types and has lots of scope for user mistakes.I can have User-input dependency at WFA GUI which allows me to make the right selection, but while preparing my XML body I need to take care of it myself.An operator is allowed to execute workflows, but the same Display names which help him make the right user-inputs, makes it impossible for him to prepare the user-input body xml. Display names can't be used in in XML body and he can't know the exact parameter names by looking at the Display names. So he need to always contact the Admins/Architects for this. And Architects/Admins can't be expected to keep providing User-Input XML body to operators every operator. How about if I could enter all the User-Input values in my workflow execution at WFA GUI, I can do a preview which passed to my satisfaction and then I can magically get the XML body for it which I can use to execute my workflow from REST APIs from any client. It could be so very much easy for me than building my User-Input XML body manually. This is exactly what I'm going to give you right now. You open the WFA in browser, Go to your workflow, Start execution, you input values from GUI reading carefully the display names, preview it to your satisfaction and then get the XML body. Assume your workflow is called “Workflow to Print a given Message”. It’s a simple workflow with only 1 user-input Displayed as "Message to Print" Prerequisites: The following are the one-time prerequisites. You need PowerShell 3.0 on your WFA server.Import the attached Generate_Workflow_User_Input_Body_in_XML.dar in your WFA. It’s our magical command called "Generate Workflow User Input Body in XML"Add credentials of a WFA Admin/Architect in you WFA itself with Name/IP: localhostMatch: ExactType: OtherName/IP: localhostUsername: <WFA Admin/Architect Username>Password: <User Password> Steps: Suppose you have a workflow called "Workflow to Print a given Message". You want to execute it from REST apis and need to prepare the user input XML body. Select this workflow and clone it. The workflow clone is the exact copy of your original workflow word by word, input-by-input. Error while deploying a workflow in OWB

I am getting the below error while deploying a workflow in Control Center.
ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: java.sql.SQLException: The file /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/owb/bin/admin/rtrepos.properties cannot be accessed or has not been properly created on the server XXXXXX. If the file does not exist or if the database owner (normally user 'oracle') does not have the required file permissions or if the file has not been properly created then the file can be recreated by running the SQL*Plus script /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/owb/rtp/sql/reset_repository.sql (in a RAC environment the file must be manually copied to each server which is used for OWB). Otherwise if using a 10.2 database instance, then please run the SQL*Plus script /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/owb/UnifiedRepos/reset_owbcc_home.sql.

Did you create the runtime access user using the runtime assistant? Did you select the correct runtime repository (if you have more) to associate your runtime access user with?
Note that there are 4 database roles being created when you create a runtime repository owner:
- OWB_A_<runtime repository owner>
- OWB_D_<runtime repository owner>
- OWB_R_<runtime repository owner>
- OWB_U_<runtime repository owner>
If you would grant those roles to a user, then that user becomes an access user for the user with username <runtime repository owner>.
Note that you can also use the runtime repository credentials to connect to the runtime repository for deployment purposes, but you may not want that because of security concerns.

This is due to invalid objects in ORACLE_OCM schema.

OEM recommends that EXECUTE privilege being revoked from PUBLIC. After revoking the privilege, the following errors appeared in alert log:
ORA-12012: error on auto execute of job 66171
ORA-04063: package body "ORACLE_OCM.MGMT_DB_LL_METRICS" has errors
ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called: ORACLE_OCM.MGMT_DB_LL_METRICS"
ORA-06512: at line 1 has errors .
Also, the below query returns invalid rows count (approximately 46 rows)
SQL> select object_name, owner, object_type, status from dba_objects where status = 'INVALID';
Owners of invalid objects are ORACLE_OCM and WMSYS
*Cause*
At the time of installation of the database, Oracle execute scripts that test to see if PUBLIC access is granted to all of the routines that ORACLE_OCM and WMSYS need access to. If PUBLIC access is NOT available, Oracle scripts grant specific access rights. However, If EXECUTE privilege is revoked from PUBLIC after installation, then those specific access rights needs to be granted manually.
*Solution*
You will need to grant execute on UTL_FILE and DBMS_SCHEDULER to ORACLE_OCM and WMSYS. The below action plan should solve the issue:
SQL> grant execute on UTL_FILE to oracle_ocm;
SQL> grant execute on DBMS_SCHEDULER to oracle_ocm;
SQL> grant execute on UTL_FILE to wmsys;
SQL> grant execute on DBMS_SCHEDULER to wmsys;
SQL> shutdown immediate;

I am trying to create custom workflow using sharepoint workflow 2013 at client side.While i am saving this,it thowas error-"Server side activities have been updated.you need to restart sharepoint designer to use the updated version
of activites"
I have installed 32-bit sharepoint designer 2013 in my system and i have no access to server.
I have also followed the solution and deleted the contents in the below location.

I cannot get past this error. I am running Sharepoint Foundation 2010 with Sp1. This is on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Server +Sp1.

I finally figured this out, The issue was that I had put in the Self Service Portal Computer Name and Service account into the Service Manager SQL as SysAdmin, once I removed it flew through just fine.

Error while installing oracle workflow builder 2.6.3.4

I got an Error while installing the workflow builder
the error was while setting the environment variable "PATH"
can't set the environment variable value as it's more than 1023
i made ignore to this error and continue the setup
is that error may affect the workflwo builder to run or it dosen't affect it

Error while opening list workflow in SharePoint designer 2010

Hi,
I am trying to open list workflow in SharePoint designer 2010,its showing me the following page.
Please help me how will be able to edit the workflow.
While i click on "export to visio",its showing the error as "SharePoint designer encountered an error generating the visi workflow drawing".
Please help me to get the logic of the workflow,so that i can create new one.

Which type of workflow did you use?
Did you create the workflow using SharePoint 2010 Designer or built-in workflow template?
If the workflow was created using SharePoint 2010 Designer, for editing the workflow using SharePoint Designer, open the site with SharePoint 2010 Designer, then click the 'Workflows' in left panel. Then in the right panel, click the workflow that you
want to edit, then click 'edit workflow' under Customization.
