Error testing webservice using ESB with Oracle apps adapter services

When creating a simple ESB project with Oracle Applications adapter service, i get the following error when testing the webservice via EM.
SOA suite 10.1.3.3
oracle EBS 11.5.10
Any pointer on how to fix this is very much appreciated.

  • Error while running BPEL Process with Oracle Apps Adapter.

    Hi All,
I am trying to configure the oracle apps adapter in JDeveloper.
Here my EBS is running on different database where as SOA is installed on different database.
I am able to properly configure the adapter & deploy the process to weblogic server.
But when I am trying to run the process I am getting following errorr.
    <p>
The JCA Binding Component was unable to establish an outbound JCA CCI connection due to the following issue: BINDING.JCA-12510\nJCA Resource Adapter location error.\nUnable to locate the JCA Resource Adapter via .jca binding file element <connection-factory/>\nThe JCA Binding Component is unable to startup the Resource Adapter specified in the <connection-factory/> element: location='*<JNDI Name passed in Oracle apps Adapter.>*'.\nThe reason for this is most likely that either \n 1) the Resource Adapters RAR file has not been deployed successfully to the WebLogic Application server or \n 2) the '<jndi-name>' element in weblogic-ra.xml has not been set to <JNDI Name passed in Oracle apps Adapter.>
    </p>
Please suggest the solution for the same.
its really urgent . waiting for reply.

Have you created a connection pool with the JNDI specified while configuring adapter in Oracle Apps adapter on weblogic admin console. You should create it at Deployments --> OracleAppsAdapter --> Configuration--> Outbound Connection pools
Make sure to update the adapter after creating a connection pool so that changes can take effect.

  • Using Discoverer with Oracle Apps

    Hi,
I have Oracle Apps vision instance on my laptop. I installed Discoverer Administrator and Desktop. But when I connect through Desktop, it only recognizes database users. When I check Application User check box still it did not recognize the Oracle Apps user 'SYSADMIN', the error message is 'Invalid username/password' which is a valid user and I could login to Oracle Apps using it and it has many responsibilities.
Is there a step I am missing to synchronize Apps users with database or Discoverer Administrator/Desktop so that I can login to Desktop using Apps user to create workbooks.
    Thanks,
    Suresh

    Hi Rod,
Thanks for the reply. At the time of creation of EUL it gives two options
    1. Grant Access to Public
    2. New EUL is for use by Oracle Applications users only
When I selected the second one I am not able to access it by any user from desktop tool but when I used the first option I can only login from Desktop using database users only not Appliations users, it gives error message 'Invalid username/password'. I dont see anywhere else I need to do something while creating EUL.
Please give me the insight into this.
    Thanks,
    Suresh

  • Schema Error with Oracle Apps Adapter

    Hi folks,
I'm trying to create a simple BPEL process to call the CREATE_LOCATION API in eBus 11.5.10.2 on a 10g Oracle Database. I'm using jdeveloper 10.1.3.4.
I create the partner link with success, creating the wrapper package due to the record types. I create an invoke and create the variables based on the partner link.
The problem appears when I try to assign data to the Invoke variables, I expand the Invoke Input variable but I only get as far as the payload. If I try a Transform activity I get the message 'Unable to get schema information for target'.
If I open the xsd file it appears to be fine (I'm no expert).
    Am I missing a step?
    Cheers,
    Jason

    Kaldiss,
    Thanks for your reply.
The XSD file is in the schemas section of the project, it's the one that gets generated when I created the apps adapter.
I've tried remapping the variable to the message type but get the same problem, when I expand it out it I get:
    (x) Invoke_OA_C_ERP_L_InputVariable
    InputParameters
    It won't go any further.
If I open the generated xsd in jdeveloper it looks correct, I see the input and output elements with their sub-compunents along with the record type definitions.
    Any more thoughts?
    Cheers,
    Jason

  • Using XDB with Oracle Apps

Oracle Apps 11.5.9 installs a 9.2 database without XDB. XDB can be installed in these databases by running catqm.sql and catxdbj.sql. The questions is, if I only have a license to run Oracle Apps am I also licensed to install XDB into that Apps database?

OK, I know this is a cop-out but Oracle Licencing is a very complex area that I try my best not to understand...... :)
The only way to get a definitive answer to this question is to discuss it with the Oracle Account Manager who is responsible for Oracle's relationship with your organization.

  • Not able to integrate SOA Suite with EBS using Oracle APPS Adapter

    Hi,
We need to listen to outbound business events of Oracle EBS using BES via Oracle APPS Adapter.
We have created a composite containing Oracle Application Adapter and BPEL Process.
In Apps adapter when configured Outbound Business events "oracle.apps.bom.component.modified" using Dequeue Operation,a corresponding subscriber is created in WF_BPEL_Q for respective event selected.
    In Oracle EBS
for "oracle.apps.bom.component.modified" status is enabled and in subscription WF_BPEL_QAGENT is there.
When we are changing any BOM component in Oracle EBS Designer and saving it, a record is being created in "WF_BPEL_QTAB".
BPEL Process( Oracle Apps Adapter Partner Link---> Recieve Actvity ) instances are not being created when any BOM component is being changed.
Oracle Apps Adapter is not able to dequeue the data from WF_BPEL_QTAB.
There is not any error/exception in oracle soa suite server logs for Oracle APPS adapter.

We would like to capture a few business events in oracle BOM and PO that are of interest to us. In order to do this,
we deploy oracle SOA composite with BEPL in the Oracle Fusion Middleware Control. The oracle SOA composite is configured for a particular outbound business event. It should listens on a specific queue WF_BPEL_Q or WF_BPEL_QTAB and de-queues the messages from that Oracle Queue or Oracle AQ Table. In jDeveloper 11g we created a SOA project with oracle applications adapter partner link and a receive.
Specifically we are trying to capture the business outbound event oracle.apps.bom.component.modified just to get the event data in this receive.
Partner link configuration: We added the database connection to the oracle EBS instance. Tested it and we
succeded. Chose ANY_SCHEMA in partner link configuration.
We ensured that the JNDI Name here( eis/Apps/Apps ) match the JNDI name provided in the weblogic-->Deployments--
OracleAppsAdapter -->Configuration --> Outbound Connection Pools. For this outbound resource pool, Connection factory interface was javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory. Property name xADataSourceName was mapped to JNDI name of the configured JDBC datasource in the weblogic. When we created the connection pool. We tested and it worked fine. This data source had the connection pool configured to the oracle applications schema with APPS user.
After adding the partner link with the above configuration, we added a receive. We deployed this configuration to the middleware. We went to the oracle EBS modified a BOM component and we expected to having running BPEL instances against the deloyed composite. However, the problem is we are not having any running instance for the composite.
We found that there are entries in the view AQ$WF_BPEL_QTAB with an ENQ_TIME and ENQ_TIMESTAMP but with no DEQ_TIME or DEQ_TIMESTAMP. The ENQ_TIMESTAMP corresponds to the time we modified BOM in oracle BOM forms/Designer
The data is being written in WF_BPEL_QTAB for the BOM changes but not being dequeued by oracle applications adapter/composites deployed in soa server.
Please help me it quite urgent.
Is there anything we are missing on EBS side to be activited. for the events to be dequeued
    Any Help is appreciated.

Searching the 9.2 doc set turns up a reference. Looks like you are trying to use an option that isn't available in your version of Oracle.

  • Capturing error messages from Oracle EBS APIs when using Oracle Apps Adapter

We are using Oracle applications adapter to call Oracle EBS (both R11.5 and R12) APIs. I want to understand the best practice around error handling when using Oracle Apps Adapter to call Oracle EBS.
    Here are some observations:
    1. Most of the APIs return X_RETURN_STATUS and X_MSG_DATA containing the status and messages if any.
    2. If the MSG COUNT is 1 then X_MSG_DATA contains the message, if MSG COUNT is > 1. X_MSG_DATA is empty.
We know that when calling the API directly from PL/SQL, we need to loop through FND_MSG_PUB to fetch all messages when there are more than 1. How do we achieve the same using Apps Adapter as Apps Adapter generates the PL/SQL block to call the API dynamically at runtime.
In some APIs, which have table/rec types as input or output parameters, Apps Adapter generates a wrapper package to do conversion from SQL--> PL/SQL and viceversa. In this case the adapter calls the custom package generated which internally calls the API. For these APIs we were able to put the logic to loop through FND_MSG_PUB and return a concatenated string as value of X_MSG_DATA.
But what should we do for the APIs which do NOT have a rec/table type as input or output, in which case the Apps Adapter directly calls the API and there is no intermediate custom package?
    How are others handling this?

  • Best practice when using Tangosol with an app server

    Hi,
I'm wondering what is the best practice when using Tangosol with an app server (Websphere 6.1 in this case). I've been able to set it up using the resource adapter, tried using distributed transactions and it appears to work as expected - I've also been able to see cache data from another app server instance.
However, it appears that cache data vanishes after a while. I've not yet been able to put my finger on when, but garbage collection is a possibility I've come to suspect.
Data in the cache survives the removal of the EJB, but somewhere later down the line it appear to vanish. I'm not aware of any expiry settings for the cache that would explain this (to the best of my understanding the default is "no expiry"), so GC came to mind. Would this be the explanation?
If that would be the explanation, what would be a better way to keep the cache from being subject to GC - to have a "startup class" in the app server that holds on to the cache object, or would there be other ways? Currently the EJB calls getCacheAdapter, so I guess Bad Things may happen when the EJB is removed...
    Best regards,

I found the configuration file embedded in coherence.jar. Am I supposed to replace it and re-package coherence.jar?
If I put it elsewhere (in the "classpath") - is there a way I can be sure that it has been found by Coherence (like a message in the standard output stream)? My experience with Websphere is that "classpath" is a rather ...vague concept, we use the J2CA adapter which most probably has a different class loader than the EAR that contains the EJB, and I would rather avoid to do a lot of trial/error corrections to a file just to find that it's not actually been used.
Anyway, at this stage my tests are still focused on distributed transactions/2PC/commit/rollback/recovery, and we're nowhere near 10,000 objects. As a matter of fact, we haven't had more than 1024 objects in these app servers. In the typical scenario where I've seen objects "fade away", there has been only one or two objects in the test data. And they both disappear...
    Still confused,

    Hi,
Oracle JVM in 11gR2 (the latest release) supports Java 1.5 only. So no, you won't be able to load classes compiled with target class level 1.6 into DB. But you surely may explicitly set target class level of 1.5 in javac and then load compiled classes. Or you may not use 1.6 features in your code and then CREATE JAVA SOURCE from it.

  • Using XA with Oracle ERP application

    Hi,
We have two Tuxedo Domains that we need to establish global transaction:
First Domain - Tuxedo 6.4 with Oracle 8.0.6 database.
Second Domain - Tuxedo 6.4 with Oracle ERP application (Oracel version 8.0.5)
A Client that calls a Tuxedo server in the first domain this service doing some work
on the database and then calls another service in the second domain (using Domain
    connection).
The service in the second Domain activate a Oracle API (package) from the ERP application.
The Rollback works but we problem with the commit. We recieve the following Oracle
Error - ORA-06574: Function "VIEW_ALL" references package state can not execute remotly.

    Subbu,
As I mentioned earlier in this thread, support for Oracle RAC has been
implemented in Tuxedo 9.1 and in the Tuxedo 8.1 and Tuxedo 9.0 rolling patch
streams. There are no plans to backport this feature to Tuxedo 8.0. If you
plan to use RAC transactionally and if it is possible for multiple services
that could be located on different RAC instances to be accessed in a single
transaction (which will be true for most applications), then you should
upgrade to a version of Tuxedo with support for Oracle RAC. The
    documentation at http://e-docs.bea.com/tuxedo/tux91/ads/adorac.htm#248431
gives an overview of RAC support in Tuxedo.

    Hello Nadeer, Hello Ed,
Has the implementation of Tuxedo8.0 with Oracle RAC was completed
    successfully ?.
If it is done , I have few doubts. Could you please help me ?.
    1) I hope your Tuxedo middleware connects to the oracle Database using
Oracle XA resource manager and the TMS server built using buildtms with
oracle as RM .As per the mail from Ed, migration of Tuxedo9.1 should be done
    before moving to Oracle RAC.
Also from BEA documentation, Oracle RAC support was given as new feature in
    Tuxedo9.1.
Our Application uses Oracle RM to connect to Oracle DB[ Oracle 10g] from
Tuxedo8.0. So do we need to upgrade to Tuxedo9.1. for using Oracle RAC ?.
    Thanks for your help
    Best Regards

  • Integrating mod_plsql reports with Oracle Apps. A maddening dilemma.

I'm hoping there is some guru out there that has the perfect solution to this maddening dilemma I'm facing.
The crux of the issue is this.
I've created mod_plsql reports that can accept a session_id with which they can set a user context based on global application contexts set in Oracle applications by users as they log in.
At this juncture, I have not figured out a way to call those mod_plsql reports from Oracle apps using a variable session_id as defined for the user when they logged into apps.
My client want to be able to log into Oracle apps and then go to the mod_plsql reports from the Oracle Apps menu and maintain the user session, so that the mod_plsql reports are run using VPD to constrain access to the data they are displaying to that specific user.
The client does not have Single Sign On installed nor OID.
I had hoped to pass a variable parameter session_id from the defined menu function that would call the mod_plsql url, but I don't see any way to pass a variable there and am becoming convinced that doing so is not an option. Can anyone confirm this?
An alternate option I'm considering that seems like it would work is to create a JSP page that gets called from a menu function. In that JSP page, I would retrieve the session_id set in apps based on the context for the user_id that I could retrieve from fnd_global.user_id and assemble a URL with the session_id that the page would then re-route to the mod_plsql page.
Unfortunately, I'm not versed in JSP.
How hard would it be to create the sort of page that I'm talking about?
Would the JSP need to part of OAF?
Can anyone think of any other options that would take care of the issue I'm dealing with?
    Thanks.
    Kurt

    Hi all,
i have exactly the same error and use the same applications and adapters.
    i don't know what's wrong.
i thing the connection pool can open the connection to the database, but cannot write anythin in the database. maybe the Table cannot be found, but it's only a guess.
Any other idea or maybe a solution?
