Error when activating an analytic view

Hi All,
I am getting the below error when trying to activate an analytic view:
An internal error occurred. Assertion failed with error message JoinManager::convertLogicalToPhysicalJoin(), cannot retrieve attribute for: CA_BNFPO in dimension: ECC-COMMON-AT_VIEWS/AT_STXH
In the analytic view , I am doing an inner join between table EBAN , fields MANDT,BANFN,BANFO with an attribute view created on STSXH ,fields MANDT,CA_BNFN,CA_BNFPO.
CA_BNFN and CA_BNFPO are the calculated columns in the attribute view AT_STXH .
Can anyone please let me know how to resolve this.

I have created joins using calculated columns in other analytic views and I didn't face any issues doing that.

Hi..
I created a generic datasource in R/3 system via RSO2, with the Real-time check box enabled in the settings for Generic Delta. I saved the datasource. Replicated it into BW System.
I tried to activate this Real time Data Source in BW, it says "Error when activating Data Source".
I am on BI 7.0, with PI_BASIS: 2005_1_700.

Error when activating an R/3 generic datasource in BW

Hi
I've created a generic datasource in R/3 4.6C system using a table view over R/3 standard Project System tables with joins. This datasource has been activated. I then replicated this generic datasource in BI7 datawarehousing environment. The replication went ok and I could see the R/3 generic datasource in RSA1. When I tried to activate this datasource I received this error message:
Error when activating DataSource ZPROJECT_ATTR Message no. RSO404
I didnt have similar problem with the other generic datasources.
I'm currently working on Netweaver 2004s BI support pack 10 environment.
Please let me know how to fix this problem.

I am gettting this error when activating data source in source system(RSA5).
1)DataSource 0NETWORK_CUST_ATTR; switch to package PS_IS_EHP3_SFWS_SC is off.
2) The extract structure DTTV_REC_53 of the DataSource 0TV_REC_531 is invalid

Diagnosis
An invalid extract structure has been assigned to the DataSource. An extract structure has to be active in the DDIC. It cannot be a view, since the customer is not able to add append fields for filling in the customer exits to a view.

Under the Studio SQL GUI and I still have the same error when activating my very simple attribute view.
I have installed a recent HANA + Studio + Client release on my laptop:

And yes, this is a demo and yes I am logged as the SYSTEM user (default user when stating the studio). For now, I dont know how to connect to another user with the studio and I will search the doumentation.

Error when activating update rule

HI BI Expert,
The original transfer rule for 2LIS_11_VAITM was deleted accidently and I created new one and mapped with the existing infosource. The system always generates the following error at the time of transport to another client.

Activation of the update rules for ZO_SOP_1 ZT_SOP_SALO_ITM
IC=ZO_SOP_1 IS=ZT_SOP_SALO_ITM error when checking the update rules.
Would you kindly be able to suggest me what steps I need to take so as to correct this issue?

Hi,
When you say that update rule was accidently deleted, was that attached to transport request and transported to your QA & PRD at that time.
Because it may happen that, your old rules are still there in QA & PRD and the new rules are failing to overwrite that.
If it is the case, then you may have to open the client for QA & PRD and delete the existing update rule (doesnt sound good practice though), and then create a fresh update rule and transport.

Hi Gurus,
I have problem when transporting in productive system an existing ODS & the update rule linked. The message is : "Error when activating update rule".
This is when i move one field from the key to a simple field of the ODS.
Before transporting requests, i deleted data in the ODS by right-click on ODS --> Request tab --> select the request --> click on delete....
I don't understand because i did the same in Qual environment and everything is OK : transport request & ODS loading...

Please try to check/perform the following steps:
1- You must ensure for the update rule have mapping between infosources
   and ODS/CUBEs correct, this means that also these objects need
   to be of the same version in the source system of the transport as in
   target system.
2- Please ensure all infoobjects in the cube are active.Please
   reactivate all the objects again in source system.
3- Ensure all infoobjects are found in the communication structure.
4- Please try to collect the update rule via BW transport connection
   with the grouping option "only necessary objects" and then transport
   those objects again.
Could you please reactivate the infocube and its update rules again
and then create a new transport for this infocube and transport it
again.

Error when activating update rule after transporting to QA

Hi,
When we transport Info cubes and update rules along with Process chains. There are the following errors in Transport request(XXXXXXXX).
1. Error when activating update rule 22HSFD3ZMALU46LS0R8PRF2MW
IC=ZSDPCXY2 IS=2LIS_11_VAITM error when checking the update rules
2. Error when activating update rule 7NT4WIDPDCN2ERFDRXIGH95PM
IC=ZSDPCXY2 IS=2LIS_12_VCHDR error when checking the update rules
and etc.
Then we activated and saved all the erroneous update rules in another tranport request(YYYYYYYY) and again we transported alongwith the previous transport request(XXXXXXXX).
The last request(YYYYYYYY)was successfully tranported and still there are same errors in TR(XXXXXXXX).
Quick answers will be highly appreciated.

Hi Vijay,
Next time you would have transport only (YYYYYYYY). Transport Request (XXXXXXX) was not required to be moved.
Normally Update Rule gets deactivated in QA when any changes to the CUbe/ODS are moved.
Thus either you can transport transport request for only active update rule to QA or activate your UR directly in QA system in case you have authorization to do that.

We have activated the datasources related FI_AA and replicated in to a new BI 7 system.
Currently we are able to activate the asset accounting related targets like 0FIAA_C11, 0FIAA_c12 and 0FIAA_C13
however not able to activate DSO's 0FI_DS11, 0FI_DS12 and 0FI_DS13.
We have replicated the datasources 0FI_AA_11 and 0FI_AA_12 in 3.x but while installing the DSO 0FI_DS11 and 0FI_DS12, facing below given error.
" DataSource 80FIA_DS11 does not exist in source system BIDCLNT600 of version A
Error when creating the export DataSource and dependent Objects
Error when activating DataStore Object 0FIA_DS11 "
We have checked the mysource system settings and activated the Data Marts respectively but still we are not able to activate.
System is BI 7 with EHP4 ehanced packege.

Error when activating DataStore Object

Hello,
We have an ODS object which is in avtive stage in ECC DEV system. When
we transport it to ECC QA system it can not be activated and shows
follwoing errors :
1) Internal error occurred when writing
Message no. D0054
2) Error while saving change log for DataStore object DSO_PL
Message no. RSDODSO196
3) Error during creation of DDIC sources of DataStore Object DSO_PL
Message no. RSO435
4) Error when activating DataStore Object DSO_PL
Message no. RSO404
We also observe that even we create new ODS object in ECC QA system,
still it give the same errors while activating.
Note - ECC QA is a system copy of ECC PROD.
Please suggest.

I believe the problem is with the Myself connection (the BW source system connection to itself) in the QA system.
Please goto RSA1, 'source systems', right click on the myself system and click on 'check', if there are errors you
maybe able to correct them by right clicking on the myself connection and click on 'restore'. If there are no
errors for the myself connection you should go to sm59 and do the connection and authorization test for the
RFC connection for the myself connection.

Runtime Error when activating Comp Records

When trying to activate IT 0759 records in Comp to update Basic Pay, some employees received a Runtime Error. It states, "The exception CX_HRPA_VIOLATED_POSTCONDITION was raised, but it was not caught anywhere along the call hierarchy."
It says it was not caught in 'HR_ECM_INSERT_INFOTYPE' function.
Has anyone else seen this problem? It didn't happen for all employees.

Another reason for locked SPO's is:
The terrible attribute-change-run (ACR). When you try to activate a locked SPO, you only get a message like this:
Runtime Lock: Activity ACTIVATE_SPO, Object DATATARGET ZZZ
Unable to lock the semantically partitioned object
Error when activating Semantically Partitioned Object ZZZ
NO DTP request is running, so you can take all the day trying to find the error.
So in my case, there was an incomplete ACR (cancelled with error - red).
It's like a curse. It is not easy to find the relation between ACR an SPO activation process (SAP error message is not useful to identify the reason)
Finally, keep in mind:
Check any DTP request running or cancelled that affect your SPO model and
Check if you have an ACR (running or cancelled). This can lock your SPO object
regards!

Folder name already exists error when activating feature

HI,
I am creating a document library and adding folders to it using elements.xml in VS 2012.
First time deployment of the item works fine, the folder is created. But further deployment or activation of feature from site features is throwing the error "Folder name already exists".
Below is the elements.xml of List Instance, which was modified to add the folders.

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you got “Folder name already exists error when activating feature”.
I had used the following code snippet to create a folder within a document library, it didn’t throw errors when reactive the feature.

Also, when you redeploy the project, it will give you a dialog which would promote to delete the existed list or not.
If you click the “Resove Automatically”, the visual studio would delete the existed list automatically, and create a new list.

I get this error when activating BC: "Element 4EHBH4SLF21UQ1UFOHVN4SZVJ is missing in version D"
I have successfully activated HR: Personnel Admin Data Targets and ETL structures. I also loaded master data to all I/O's and transaction data to the Cubes. I am now activating the queries and when I activate just the first query I get this error. I have searched everywhere for this element that is missing but can not find it. The query that I am trying to install is: "Number of entries". Note that some of the other queries were installed successfully.

This element is not available in "Number of entries" query. Try to check in query designer where this element is there in query or not.
Also try to reinstall this query from Business content

Hi Shilpi,
there are several correction notes regarding DTP on this SP level, please try note 1151263.
Please also look into the transport log, expand it, and to see if there should be any other information.
please also try RSDG_AFTER_IMPORT_FOR_CORR according to 411574 to try re-import.
There might be some inconsistency for PSA table, please run RSAR_PSA_CLEANUP_DIRECTORY to check.
