Error when associating an OC4J instance with OID

I'm having a problem when trying to associate a OC4J instance with OID, i get the following error:
An error occurred while attempting to associate this instance with the specified Oracle Internet Directory. The security provider will NOT be changed for any application. Please ensure that the OID instance is indeed up and that the connect information provided is correct before retrying.

So after some days i found the answer to my problem, the user i was using when associating the OC4J instance was not in the appropriate groups, so i had to add it to these groups:
cn=iASAdmins,cn=Groups,cn=OracleContext
cn=OracleDASCreateUser,cn=Groups,cn=OracleContext
hope this helps if someone gets stuck as i was :)

rights and all the privilages that I can see in ldap. Not sure what I am missing.

Hi,
I got this resolved. Basically there are two ids in OID cn=orcladmin and
cn=orcladmin,cn=users,cn=mycompany,cn=com. I have to use
cn=orcladmin to associate an oc4j instance with OID and I was using the other one.

Error when creating new oc4j-instance

when i create a new oc4j-instance via EMWeb i get the following:

the german text means: no message defined for this exception.
when i then refresh the website the oc4j-instance is created, but down.

I'm not sure where this error comes from, I've never seen it. Particularly in German! ;-)
I think the best way to get more information on this is to repost your message to the general 9iAS forum. I believe that there are people monitoring that forum who look afer the management console and who might be able to help you further.

I am trying to Create a new OC4J Instance with the Help of "Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g for Application Server Control" , but the following Error message is displayed.
"Error:
The configuration files for this Oracle Application Server instance are inconsistent with the
configuration stored in the repository. In order to protect the repository,
no further configuration or deployment operations are allowed until the problem with the configuration on the filesystem is resolved. This condition arises when a prior operation was unsuccessful. The exception associated with this failed operation is:

Actually, I am currently working on Oracle CM SDK. I have to dvelope an Content Management application (like WebstarterApplication which is provided)from scratch which can enable end user
1. To browse through the documents in the repository.
2. To open the documents form the repository itself.
3. To edit and save the document in the place in the repository.
I found that in WebstarterApplication (an CM SDK Application which is provided as demo), 1st and 2nd features are there but 3rd one is not.
So, I am going to develope an application from scratch.
Then is it necessary to create an OC4J Instance?
Please suggest me what should be the steps to be followed to develope such an application from scratch.

HP LASERJET CP1525nw print error when printing online Gmail emails with Google Chrome

HP LASERJET CP1525nw print error when printing online Gmail emails with Google Chrome. Extra large font sizes and weird formatting issues only when printing emails from Gmail within Chrome. No problems when printing the same email from Gmail+Internet Exolorer or Thunderbird. Using the IE Tab extension in Chrome prints the email correctly but the style of Gmail's message window is completely weird ie: formatting bar is spread out vertically instead of horizontally. I believe it is clear that this is an application specific issue between the HP LASERJET CP1525nw printer and Google Chrome + Gmail. This printing scenario does not occur when printing anything else or when printing via another printer. I would appreciate receiving any suggestions to solve this issue.

Error when Creating a ServiceClientFactory instance JAVA API

When invoking Assembling a PDF document quick start I'm having a compilation error when creating a ServiceClientFactory instance:

According to google the OALL8 has something to do with the JDBC driver.

Are you doing this using the EM GUI? Or using dcmctl?
Either way, I'd try to remove the lk file that you had (no idea why that file was around - did you do multiple installs on the same box?)
and then retry the operation.

from the /oracle_home/jinit/jinit.exe .. <Jinitiator 1.3.1.17>
but the window always end after the extracting files.In my client laptop

Jinitiator 1.1.8.16, 1.3.1.18, 1.3.1.21

after the extracting file process, the window been closed automatically.
by the way, if i modify the value the version of JInitiator in the formsweb.cfg, l
ike 1.3.1.17 => 1.3.1.18 show i replace the jinit.exe file in
the /ora10g_home/jinit ?
It default is for 1.3.1.17, because i can't install that successful,
so i modify the related value in the formsweb.cfg,
but i didn't replace the jinit.exe file for that .
That will it effect the oc4j work on forms running time process?

Error when i try to connect with blogger from firefox

when i try to connect with blogger.com and i enter my password the firefox is loading me as it should and then it returns to the blogger page...
it doesn t say that i put the password wrong it does not say anything its like i m stuck there...i can connect to gmail
but not to blogger and since the problems occurs only with firefox , as i can connect with other explorers i suppose the problem comes from firefox
i reinstalled the firefox nothing changes
also at blogger the firefox crashes in a way that it shows on the top of the page an error instead of the blogger links(connect , new post etc)

Error when export report to PDF with a none standard Windows font

Hi,
I got this error when trying to export PDF under VS2008 with an special true type font in the code behind. The error says:
...temp_9550ab94-02fc-4362-b259-cc6de8d6c04b {32E546F5-C6A3-44FC-B8EF-D5E37A1118FA}.rpt:\nOperation not yet implemented.
In the crystal reort under VS2008, I use a special font which is true type and it is already installed in the system, I can see the font in many other software like Word, Notepad, etc... without any problem.
Is anyone know how to fix it? please help.

I trid the SP, but doesn't work. I can send the font to you, it is only 50K. If you would like to try I can send it to you, but i am not sure how i can upload the font file. I guess any none Windows standard font will have same issue, i guess.
For now, i am going to give up and use image file instead.

I would not mind testing this, but I need to know if there is a free download of this font available. I Googled the font name, but a quick search did not come up with anything.

Error when opening a BW query with Crystal Reports

Hi all,
I am having problems when opening a BW query with Crystal Reports, the strange thing is that it only happens with
the bo user I have created. If I use a user that already exists and that has SAP_ALL authorization it works.
I don't know if this could be an authorizations issue, but I have created a role with all the authorizations stated in the manual.
The error I am getting is the following:
"An error occurred while generating a new report template. Error in UNKNOWN.RPT file"

WebLogic Error : Registered more than one instance with the same objectName

HI there, I'm facing a big problem. I have two environments installed on the same physical machine.
I have ALSB and WLI servers running out there.
Environment 1 - WLI port running at 7011 domain name : stp_wli_domain and ALSB port running at 8011 domain name: stp_alsb_homo1 - folders- stp_wli_domain / stp_bea_alsb_homo
Environmnet 2 - WLI port running at 7211 domain name : stp_wli_domain2 and ALSB port tunning at 8211 domain name : stp-alsb_homo2 - folders - stp_wli_domain2 / stp_bea-alsb_homo2
Everything was working fine, but these days I had install new deployments on both environment and I got this error :

WLI2 - WLiadminServer2
ALSB2 - ALsbAdminServer2
I would do it.. this way..

EJB 3.0 Cache Issue With OC4J Instance With Multiple JVM's

I created an EJB 3.0 project in JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0 and everything works fine in the embedded OC4J server. I am deploying the application to an OC4J instance consisting of 3 Java Virtual Machines in Oracle Application server 10.1.3 and seem to be getting a different persistence context for each virtual machine. i.e. I'll have 3 browsers that can view the same data even after updating, another 2 browsers that can't see the first 3's changes but can see changes by any browser in this group, etc.
I tried adding the below to the persistence-unit tag in the persistence.xml but it didn't seem to help.

Error when calling the business services with Encryption - MustUnderstand h

I was getting this error when i invoke my business service through Oracle Service Bus Console:

Error when Connect to Access 2007 with password using OLEDB

Hi there,
I am seeing the below error when trying to Connect to Access 2007 with password using Crystal XI or Crystal 2008, when using the OLEDB to connection Access data.
Logon failed
Details: DAO Error Code: 0xd0f
Source: DAO.Workspace
Description: Unrecognised database format 'path to database\crs project database.aaadb
Get though when I use Access 2007 without password setup.
