Edited by: user7609 on Jul 20, 2012 10:14 AMTry to check which OBJ Class violation are you hitting , for example: If you have uniquemember instead of member and try to add more than one member this will be a rule violation. Eg: ADD request to an attribute that is included in an account entry because the attribute entry has been existed prior to the ADD request.
I hope this helps.

Invalid Naming Error while creating user in OIM and provisioning to OID
Hi,
I am trying to create users in OIM. As per the access policy, the users will directly provisioned to OID. When I am creating users in OIM, its showing provisioning for OID user resource. The create user task is rejected with error as
"Response: Invalid Naming Error
Response Description: Naming exception encountered"
If anybody is getting these error, then please suggest a solution.
Thanks.logs ???
Are you provisioning any custom attributes of different object classes . Make sure you include those object classes as well , go to connector documentation for adding the object classes .., may be some configuration look up ....i guess
Thanks
Suren

LDAD Time Sync Error when creating user
Hi, we have a web service for eDirectory 8.8 SP5 that creates a few
users and does a couple other services. When the web service it
configured to connect to 1 of the 2 eDirectory servers (1 is a master,
and the other is read/write replica) then everything works just fine
(both server work just fine as long as you only connect to one of them
only). However, we tried to add redundancy by putting a load balancer
in front of the 2 eDir servers. When we use the VIP to make the LDAP
connection, we keep on getting this error when we try to create a user:
Caused by: LDAPException: Other (80) Other
LDAPException: Server Message: NDS error: time not synchronized (-659)
LDAPException: Matched DN:
at com.novell.ldap.LDAPResponse.getResultException(Un known Source)
at com.novell.ldap.LDAPResponse.chkResultCode(Unknown Source)
at com.novell.ldap.LDAPConnection.chkResultCode(Unkno wn Source)
at com.novell.ldap.LDAPConnection.modify(Unknown Source)
at com.novell.ldap.LDAPConnection.modify(Unknown Source)
I've ran ndsrepair -T and the time looks like it is synched and both
servers are running NTP. Do you know what could be causing this
problem? Also, it isn't the LB connection itself b/c everything works
fine if we disable one of the servers in the LB and still use the VIP
just to connect to just 1 server.
Thanks

Can you tell us more about the changes taking place? For example, I
believe this can happen if you modify objectA on replica0 and then modify
objectA in another way on replica1. Timestamps on objects are made up of
the seconds since 1970 followed by a replica number (each replica's is
unique) and then an event number. As a result perhaps eDir feels time is
out of sync when it makes a change on a box and then the other replica
synchronizes in changes it received just a second earlier from your
application. It may be tricky to isolate if this is the case but it
should be possible with a bit of analysis. In the meantime you may want
to ensure your application (or your VIP) batches changes to one box and
then to the other as much as possible. The benefit of multi-master
replication (which eDirectory does by default) is you can write changes to
multiple boxes simultaneously, but the challenge is the same and requires
a way to resolve differences using transitive vectors which are made up of
those timestamps.
Good luck.

Error While Creating User in OIM 11g R2
Experts,
I am working on OIM 11g R2, while creating user i am getting below prompt
IAM-2050242: Orchestration process with id 815, failed with error message IAM-3010201:LDAP create event failed: Object Class Violation.
any pointers?Try to check which OBJ Class violation are you hitting , for example: If you have uniquemember instead of member and try to add more than one member this will be a rule violation. Eg: ADD request to an attribute that is included in an account entry because the attribute entry has been existed prior to the ADD request.

Load oracle jdbc driver error when run applet via the web
Hi All,
I have built an applet which connect to database via jdbc thin driver. It works fine when I run it through the applet viewer, but got a problem when run it through the web.
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/jdbc/driver/OracleDriver
I am using jdev9i 9.0.4 and jdk 1.4.2. The jdbc version is 9.0.1
I have added both the classes12.zip and ojdbc14.zip in the class path and also pack them together with my applet class. Here is the code
public class MyApplet extends Applet
implements Runnable
public void start()
if(theThread == null)
theThread = new Thread(this);
theThread.start();
Retrieve R = new Retrieve();
this.MyMap = R.retrieveDesc();
public class Retrieve
public Retrieve()
DriverManager.registerDriver(new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());
conn=DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:thin:@babyruth.wvu.edu:1703:devdw", User, Password);
conn.setAutoCommit(true);
connectStatus = true;
public HashMap retrieveDesc()
return map;
I have also built one HTML page NewApplet like this
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE> My New Applet</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<APPLET CODE="MyApplet.class" CODEBASE="menu" ARCHIVE="MyApplet.zip" WIDTH=300 HEIGHT=485>
<!--General Settings-->
<param name="bgcolor" value="255,255,255">
</HTML>
Any advice is highly appreciated
MeiSir,
Well you haven't "packed" them correctly. Why don't you just add the driver bits to the soucebase tag? or something like that anyway...

8i personal : error when Create user defined aggregate function
Hi,
I have problem on creating user defined aggregate function.
I try to create the sample aggregate function "SecondMax" from 9i developer guide(append at the end of this post).
It's work to create object type and the type body, but
there is error when I create the aggregate function..
"CREATE FUNCTION SecondMax (input NUMBER) RETURN NUMBER
PARALLEL_ENABLE AGGREGATE USING SecondMaxImpl;"
I am using 8i personal now.. is that the syntax of create function in 9i is different from that in 8i?
Example: Creating and Using a User-Defined Aggregate
This example illustrates creating a simple user-defined aggregate function SecondMax() that returns the second-largest value in a set of numbers.
Creating SecondMax()
Implement the type SecondMaxImpl to contain the ODCIAggregate routines.
create type SecondMaxImpl as object
max NUMBER, -- highest value seen so far
secmax NUMBER, -- second highest value seen so far
static function ODCIAggregateInitialize(sctx IN OUT SecondMaxImpl)
return number,
member function ODCIAggregateIterate(self IN OUT SecondMaxImpl,
value IN number) return number,
member function ODCIAggregateTerminate(self IN SecondMaxImpl,
returnValue OUT number, flags IN number) return number,
member function ODCIAggregateMerge(self IN OUT SecondMaxImpl,
ctx2 IN SecondMaxImpl) return number
Implement the type body for SecondMaxImpl.
create or replace type body SecondMaxImpl is
static function ODCIAggregateInitialize(sctx IN OUT SecondMaxImpl)
return number is
begin
sctx := SecondMaxImpl(0, 0);
return ODCIConst.Success;
end;
member function ODCIAggregateIterate(self IN OUT SecondMaxImpl, value IN number)
return number is
begin
if value > self.max then
self.secmax := self.max;
self.max := value;
elsif value > self.secmax then
self.secmax := value;
end if;
return ODCIConst.Success;
end;
member function ODCIAggregateTerminate(self IN SecondMaxImpl, returnValue OUT
number, flags IN number) return number is
begin
returnValue := self.secmax;
return ODCIConst.Success;
end;
member function ODCIAggregateMerge(self IN OUT SecondMaxImpl, ctx2 IN
SecondMaxImpl) return number is
begin
if ctx2.max > self.max then
if ctx2.secmax > self.secmax then
self.secmax := ctx2.secmax;
else
self.secmax := self.max;
end if;
self.max := ctx2.max;
elsif ctx2.max > self.secmax then
self.secmax := ctx2.max;
end if;
return ODCIConst.Success;
end;
end;
Create the user-defined aggregate.
CREATE FUNCTION SecondMax (input NUMBER) RETURN NUMBER
PARALLEL_ENABLE AGGREGATE USING SecondMaxImpl;
Using SecondMax()
SELECT SecondMax(salary), department_id
FROM employees
GROUP BY department_id
HAVING SecondMax(salary) > 9000;This could be a x64/x86 problem. Try following this thread

Package Error when create package via Methods onTables
Even though I am an APEX developer for 3 years, I just found out about Methods on Tables Utility in SQL Workshop from Dan McGhan's demo. I tried to create a package for about 7 tables in one package. When the package was created, it was invalid. I tried to compile it and it produced several errors. I noticed that the UPDATE table procedure was incomplete as it did not provide parameters even though the procedure uses them.
I was able to replicate it in APEX.ORACLE.COM.

PACKAGE: CSRSR_DML

Is this a bug? Is there a workaround? Did anyone else experience similar outcome?

Given Tom's well-known opposition to this approach, I was more than a little surprised when this appeared in APEX as he also appears to have close links to the APEX team. I'd really rather have seen development effort invested elsewhere.
I'd definitely advocate building applications based on PL/SQL APIs, just not on table-centric, row-by-row ones...
I tried to create a package for about 7 tables in one package.Why?
One of the main purposes of packages is to modularize an application. Sticking methods for all of the entities in one package defeats this and makes development, testing and maintenance harder. If you must use the flawed TAPI concept, create a separate API for each table—at most only combine those where there exist mandatory dependencies, e.g. an <tt>order</tt> package with methods for <tt>orders</tt> and <tt>order_items</tt>.
As to the immediate problem, it appears to be due to the lack of primary key definitions on some of your tables. This means the generator is unable to identify which columns to use as unique row identifiers. -

thnx for your attentionHello tony,
Please check the following:
1.Make sure the item is managed by serials
2.The serials number have been auto created in GRPO/AP invoice etc puchase document
3.You need to set the system serial number for the lines. How do you know the system serial number of the serial number? refer to the Serial Number Details form
Inventory=>Item management=>Serials Numbers=>Serial Number Details
SystemSerialNumber Sets or returns the successive numerator starting from1 issued for each item with serial numbers management. This numerator progresses according to the creation of new units of the same sort (for the same item).
This property is mandatory when using Serial Numbers for outgoing documents. Field name: SysSerial.This is a foreign key to the SerialNumbers object
Sample code to add invoice with items managed by serials:
Private Sub btnSerials_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnSerials.Click
ConnectViaDI()
Dim oInvoice As SAPbobsCOM.Documents = Nothing
oInvoice = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oInvoices)
oInvoice.CardCode = "C001"
oInvoice.DocDueDate = Date.Now
Dim oLines As SAPbobsCOM.Document_Lines = oInvoice.Lines
oLines.ItemCode = "S00002"
oLines.UnitPrice = 1500
oLines.Quantity = 2
oLines.TaxCode = "CA"
'Set the system serial no. for the 1st item
oLines.SerialNumbers.SystemSerialNumber = 3
'Set the system serial no. for the 2nd item
oLines.SerialNumbers.Add()
oLines.SerialNumbers.SystemSerialNumber = 4
lRetCode = oInvoice.Add
If 0 <> lRetCode Then
oCompany.GetLastError(lErrCode, errMsg)
MsgBox(errMsg)
Else
MsgBox("AR Invoice with serials number added.")
End If
End Sub

Trouble Creating Users Via Web Form
I'm having trouble creating user in a 9i database via web front end.
I use the following sql to create the user
strSQL="CREATE USER"""+strUser+"""PROFILE ""DEFAULT"" IDENTIFIED BY ""HELLO"" DEFAULT TABLESPACE ""DATA"" TEMPORARY TABLESPACE ""TEMP"" ACCOUNT UNLOCK"
I then execute another two sql statments to grant "connect" thus
strSQL="GRANT ""CONNECT"" TO "+strUser+""""
strSQL="ALTER USER """ strUser"""DEFAULT ROLE ALL"
Whenever I try connecting using the new users details, but get an error message that the server had problems accessing the LDAP directory service(ORA-28030).
I'm happy that the SQL is correect as I created the account that I wanted using Enterprise Console and coppied the SQL it produced. I'm assuming that there's something in the background that is not being triggered when creating the user via the web front end.
Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong?
Thanks
JasonMy apologies, I didn't realise HTML DB was a product. I thought it was a forum for questions regarding HTML and databases.
Doh!!!

I did all of the above and my wifi is STILL grayed out. Don't know what to do. I am going over my plan all the time in data usage because I can't use wifi at home, and my bluetooth won't work in the car which is unsafe. Help!

DataGrid column order - with actionscript?
I can't seem to find an effective way to get the data laid out the way I want. Imagine this scenario: I have a single-column list of all the fields in a database table on the left, and a display table on the right (which starts with no columns in it)
