Error when i execute BegginDDL procedure

Hi Everybody
The error "ORA-00972: identifier is too long" appears when i try to execute DBMS_WM.BeginDDL procedure in SQL PLUS. i'm using oracle 9i.
The thing is:
i can execute the following sentence without problems. if you count, the name of the table has 17 characters:
EXEC DBMS_WM.BeginDDL('SAN.SAN_CONTRATO_BIEN');
but if i execute this one:
EXEC DBMS_WM.BeginDDL('SAN.SAN_CONTRATO_OTRO');
The error "ORA-00972", appears. As you see, both tables names have the same length. The error description says "Cause: The name of a schema object exceeds 30 characters. Schema objects are tables, clusters, views, indexes, synonyms, tablespaces, and usernames". But the name of this table is shorter than 30 characters.
If somebody knows why occurs this error, please let me know.
Thanks in Advance.
Jimena.

  • [Windows] file.url throw error when application executable in root directory

    Here is the bugbase ticked: Bug#3940278 - [Windows] file.url throw error when application executable in root directory
    If you launch AIR application packaged as bundle from root directory and try to get url property of any file you get IllegalOperationError.
    No matter what file url property you try to get.
    It's a big problem when you distribute your application on CD disks or flash drive.
    I'd like to ask everyone affected by this issue to take a minute and vote for the following bug.
    Thanks.

    I checked all deployment descriptions and there are no references to t3://localhost:7001. Few months back, I had the complete clustering setup working on 2 machines and now when I deploy my application on same configuration, it fails with t3://localhost:7001 unreachable error. I created a new cluster configuration on one machine with 2 managed server and it deploys fine. Can not figure out what has changed ?

  • Error when i execute the webservice /SAPAPO/SDM_PARCRTRC

    hi,
    I am getting this error when i execute the webservice /SAPAPO/SDM_PARCRTRC for product availability. please tell me where am i going wrong ..... ? wat parameters are missing ? how to interpret this error?
    An error has occurred. Maybe the request is not accepted by the server:
    XML Serialization Error. Object content does not correspond to Schema restrictions of type [http://sap.com/xi/APO/Global][/wsdl:definitions/wsdl:types/xsd:schema[3]/xsd:complexType[3]/xsd:simpleContent/xsd:extension/xsd:attribute[1]/xsd:simpleType].
    Quick response will be appreciated

    hi,
    due to the bad formatting of your posting it is hard to read. you might consider to use the code tag to enhance readability. moreover, 'executing a webservice' is a bit a vague description of what you do. are you consuming this service with any client program and this is throwing the exception or are you testing the webservice with any 3rd party tool and this is a server error returned to you?
    anyway, I think you ttry to consume that service from within ABAP and the error message says a lot despite of its bad readability:
    The client ist serializing a message (creating it from parameters) and is provided some argument for a parameter which doesn't conform to the WSDL. E.g. the WSDL declares some parameter to be an integer and between 0 and 100 and you try to supply it the value 234. THis would most probably result in your erromessage. or the WSDL says integer and you provided it a string (e.g. like 'foo' or '234').

    Thanks

    Hi,
    Looking at the code it seems like there is no error but someone has put explicit Break point in the code, now you have two options,
    1) Once you get the above screen just press F8 and let the extractor proceed. But everytime this will be manual process.
    2) Remove the Break-point statement from the code.
    As you said it is asking for Access Key, then get your developer key generated on service.sap.com or contact to your basis team.

  • ORA-03115 error when calling a Stored Procedure

    Hi All,
    I'm in the process of porting a Pro/C app from NT to Linux. I've installed 8.1.5 on our Linux box and patched it up to 8.1.5.02.
    It all kind of works ok, except that I'm sometimes getting ORA-03115 errors when the app calls a stored procedure. The call in question looks like this:
    EXEC SQL BEGIN DECLARE SECTION;
    VARCHAR resprows[50][3998];
    int numret = 0;
    int numrows= 50;
    int done= 0;
    unsigned long resp_id = 0;
    EXEC SQL END DECLARE SECTION;
    EXEC SQL AT DB_NAME EXECUTE
    BEGIN pkg_something.getdata(
    :resp_id, /* IN */
    :numrows, /* IN */
    :done, /* OUT */
    :resprows, /* OUT */
    :numret /* OUT */
    END;
    END-EXEC;
    The stored procedure basically uses the resp_id value to select rows from a table;
    in each row there is a VARCHAR2(4000) column which it copies into the hostarray resprows.
    There may be anything from 1 to numrows returned from the SP.
    Initially, the resprows rows were defined to be size [4000]. Unfortunately, this caused ORA-02005 errors - I then changed the size to [3998], which seemed to fix the 02005's (although I'm unclear as to the reasons why).
    Now I'm getting the 03115 errors when calling the SP. The oracle manual is not very helpful on what this error means.
    This all works chipper on NT.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance,
    Nigel.
    PS: The database the app is talking to is still hosted on NT.

  • ODBC 8.1.7 Error when calling a stored procedure that owned by an other user

    I am testing my application VB for certified to use the
    Client 8 with ODBC Driver 8.1.7.0 , because today this application
    have been working with Client 7 and ODBC driver 7.3 version 2.5.
    But i have some surprises:
    Set qy = con.CreateQuery("", "{CALL OFS.INSERT_DEPT (?,?,?)}")
    OFS is the owner of the proc
    (other combinations {BEGIN ...;END;} also doesn't work, except the owner executes the stmt)
    qy(0) = "6"
    qy(1) = "ABCDEF"
    qy(2) = "L88"
    at this point it gives an VB error:

    PS: With previous ODBC Driver 7.3 v2.5 this error doesn4t occur.
    I have the rights to execute the procedure

    Is there any other way to get this procedure work? Its a BUG ?
    My Procedure:

    in_loc in varchar2)
    is

    Win2k,
    Oracle ODBC driver 8.1.7.7
    Oracle client 8.1.7.0
    Server:
    Oracle 8.1.7.0
    First, can you try replacing the ?'s with explicit parameters? I can't imagine that an error binding the variables would cause an error like this, but I'd just like to rule it out.
    Second, can you grab the ODBC SDK from Microsoft <http://www.microsoft.com/data> if you haven't already and try that statement from within the ODBCTest sample application? If that works for you, then there must be something in the layers between your application and the ODBC driver which are confusing things. Which API are you actually using from VB? I'm guessing ADO, but I'd like confirmation on that.
    Third, did you set any parameters to non-default values when you configured your DSN? I left everything as-is on my machine, so I'll try to replicate any changes you might have made to see if that changes anything.
    Finally, can you post the connection string you're using?

  • Error when calling a stored procedure from a SQL Script

    Apologies if this is a really dumb question but I can't seem to call a procedure in package from a SQL script. I have a simple package.procedure containing a loop to populate a table. I would like to include a call to this procedure from my database install script, that also includes my CREATE and INSERT statements. I run the script using "@install_databae" and the CREATE and INSERT statements run fine. The script gives an error when it reaches the line below:
    exec lazarus.PopulateGridPositions;
    and gives the error.....
    BEGIN lazarus.PopulateGridPositions; END;
    ERROR at line 1:

    I've obviously missed some fundamental concept with scripts and SQL. Please can anybody help me?

    regards
    daniel wang

    Hi again, Daniel,
    I'm only guessing here, but unless you've made lots of mistakes when
    you copied your code to your post to the forum, your method signatures
    don't match. The definition of "genFile" in your java class is quite
    different to what you wrote in your PL/SQL wrapper.
    Also, you have defined "genFile" to be a private method -- I think it
    needs to be public.
    Also, I think the "main" method doesn't need to be in the "GenFiles"
    class -- perhaps you should remove it.
    Also, I think in your PL/SQL wrapper you need to use fully qualified
    names, so use "java.lang.String" and not just "String".
    Lastly, I think you should use the "-force" and "-resolve" flags
    with the "loadjava" command.
    Good Luck,
    Avi.

  • Sunstudio11, Internal Error when I execute a fortran program

    Hello,
    I installed sunstudio11 on a amd64 machine with ubuntu 6.06 LTS dapper drake.

    The program is not running and it seems he is waiting on the input.file, although "< input.file" was set as an argument.
    Thanks in advance for help,

    This is Sun Studio 11 right? Not a preview release of SS12?
    So you must be using gfortran to build your program?
    I assume the program runs from the command line okay.
    If you're an IDE user, then I recommend that you check out the
    new IDE in Sun Studio 12 Express 3 release. The new one is pre-release

  • Error 03113 while executing java procedure with pl.sql

    Hi All,
    I am using oracle 10g on linux server. Client machine is on xp. I hava a java procedure which executes the sqlldr on server. Earlier it was working fine, but after reinstalling the oracle 10g on server. It started giving "end of Communication channel error". I am not aware that what paramete has to set. Can some body put light on this error.
    Bye
    Sachin

    According to the documentation:
    ORA-01555: snapshot too old: rollback segment number string with name "string" too small
    Cause: Rollback records needed by a reader for consistent read are overwritten by other writers.
    Action: If in Automatic Undo Management mode, increase the setting of UNDO_RETENTION. Otherwise, use larger rollback segments.
    Error: ORA-01555: snapshot too old (rollback segment too small)
    Cause: This error can be caused by one of the problems, as described below.
    Action: The options to resolve this Oracle error are:
    This error can be the result of there being insufficient rollback segments.
    A query may not be able to create the snapshot because the rollback data is not available. This can happen when there are many transactions that are modifying data, and performing commits and rollbacks. Rollback data is overwritten when the rollback segments are too small for the size and number of changes that are being performed.
    To correct this problem, make more larger rollback segments available. Your rollback data for completed transactions will be kept longer.
    This error can be the result of programs not closing cursors after repeated FETCH and UPDATE statements.
    To correct this problem, make sure that you are closing cursors when you no longer require them.
    This error can occur if a FETCH is executed after a COMMIT is issued.
    The number of rollback records created since the last CLOSE of your cursor will fill the rollback segments and you will begin overwriting earlier records.

  • Issue with new line when manually executing a procedure in SQL*Plus

    The below procedure works fine in SQL*Plus when the entire EXEC <procedure_name> (parameter1, parameter2, ..); is put in a single line
    SQL > exec cust_admin_util.create_schema (P_SCHEMA_NAME => 'SCOTT_01', P_SCHEMA_PWD => 'scott123', P_TBS_NAME => 'TRAG_TBS', p_temptbs_name => 'TEMP' );
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.I wanted to execute the same procedure with more readability. So, I put each parameters on a separate line and try to execute. But it is erroring out.
    SQL > exec cust_admin_util.create_schema

    P_SCHEMA_PWD => 'scott123',
    P_TBS_NAME => 'TRAG_TBS',

    Hi Tom,
    At SQL Plus,
    You have to use the -(Hyphen) as the concatenation Operator.
    For Instance,
    SQL>  exec host_command( -
    p_command => 'dir');
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    Thanks,
    Shankar
