Error when running a script using upsshell.exe
I have a simple custom script which is
Sub Test1()
Set fso= CreateObject("Scripting.filesystemobject")
Set ts = fso.CreateTextFile("D:\DATA\****\Outbox\Templates\Test.txt")
ts.writeline "hi"
End sub
When I am running it manually in workbench, the script runs fine but when I try to run it using upsshell.exe(command provided below)
D:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\EPMSYS~1\products\FINANC~2\SHARED~1\upsShell.exe CustomScriptEx=****~admin~****~~****~D:\DATA\test\Outbox\Logs~Test1~1033~0
i get the following error

Hello Verdulken,
I have a few additional questions:
Does your application function correctly when running the LabVIEW operator interface you have created as a VI in the LabVIEW development environment (i.e. does this problem only occur when the LabVIEW operator interface is run as an executable)?
What is the error that you are receiving?
Regarding the VI that you open programmatically, do you open it in a visible manner (i.e. use the Show front panel when called option from VI Properties)?If so, do you also close this VI after it finishes (i.e. use the Close if originally closed option from VI Properties)?
Does the error occur on the step that calls this very same VI again later in the sequence?
Does your application function correctly if you use the development adapter for all of your calls?
Thank you in advance for this information,
Matt G.

Why I get an error when running a sequence using the LabVIEW operator interface ?
I have a simple TestStand sequence calling LabVIEW vis that is giving me an error when I run it with the .exe version of the LabVIEW operator interface and I set TestStand to run the vis using the 8.2.1 runtime engine instead of the development adapter. I made a change in the operator interface to open a vi programatically and get the value of a control, this vi is also used in the TestStand sequence I am trying to run. Could this be causing my problem ?
ThanksHello Verdulken,

Pypl.org shows a list of available packages by ascending Python version. By the time one looks for Cheetah support in Python 2.6, it is strictly Linux. In the Python 2.7 section, there is no Cheetah package listed at all.
In my estimation, development on Cheetah has been abandoned, and it remains incompatible with Python 2.7.2 as installed on OS X. You should abandon Cheetah. Look at Jinja2, or Django.
OS X still uses Python scripts for some system activity. If the system version of Python gets messed up with an incompatible module, these system python scripts are compromised too.
Seriously, look at Pythonbrew. It allows you to create full-blown Python installs and switch between versions and virtual environments. -

Error When Running Maintenance Script
When I try to execute the Maintenance Task script that was generated by AWM, I get the following error:
Successoracle.AWXML.AWException: Action BUILDDATABASE failed on object SCHEMA.AW_NAMEThe weird thing here is that there is no actual ORA error, and even the XML_LOAD_LOG updates itself with information about
the current maintenance, but the dimension is not actually maintained.Hi duncanwarrender,
According to your description, you get errors when double-clicking on the Maintenance Plan. Based on my research, this issue could be due to that DTS Package is corrupt or missing. You could follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue.
1.Uninstall Management tools. In Control Panel, click Uninstall a program, click Microsoft SQL Server (for example, Microsoft SQL Server 2012(64-bit)) and click Remove. Select a instance and then select the feature 'Management tools' to uninstall.
2.Reinstall the following features from SQL Server setup, make sure that the installation of these tools complete successfully.
a. SQL Server data tools
b. Client tools SDK
c. Client tools backwards compatibility
d. Management tools-complete

GuruprasadThank you for your help. I had to make a change in the CR Processing Server so your answer put me in the right direction.
We are using CR Server 2008.
I had to set the value at 0 for Database Records Read When Previewing or Refreshing (0 for unlimited):
Thank you again!
Lisa
I also had to make a few other changes as well.

Dbms_scheduler error when running shell script
I have 2 shell scripts.
ftp_file_from_apps.sh copies a file from one server to antoher. It receives an input which is the name of the file to be copied.
scp_file_to_dbs.sh does a secure copy. Copying the file fo anther directory on the same server.
ftp_file_from_apps.sh
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
#!/bin/bash
sftp applprod@<host.domain>:/<source_directory>/$1
/<destination_directory>/$2
scp_file_to_dbs.sh
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
scp -r /<source_directory>/$1 <host.domain>:/<destination_directory>/$1
Both of these scripts works 100% when i run them from os level:
ftp_file_from_apps.sh xxx.out xxx.pdf
scp_file_to_dbs.sh xxx.pdf
the problem is when i run them with dbms_scheduler:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
v_file_name and v_file_name_pdf is varchar2(20) with values assigned.
begin
dbms_scheduler.create_job(
job_name=>'FTP_FILE_FROM_APPS',
job_type=>'executable',
job_action=>'/<directory_of_script>/ftp_file_from_apps.sh
v_file_name v_file_name_pdf',
enabled=>TRUE
end;
begin
dbms_scheduler.create_job(
job_name=>'SCP_FILE_TO_DBS',
job_type=>'executable',
job_action=>'/<directory_of_script>/scp_file_to_dbs.sh
v_file_name_pdf',
enabled=>TRUE
end;
ftp_file_from_apps.sh error:
ORA-27369: job of type EXECUTABLE failed with exit code: No such file or directory
scp_file_to_dbs.sh error:
ORA-27369: job of type EXECUTABLE failed with exit code: No such file or directory
I tripple checked my <directory_of_script>.
Please help.
Regards
JohnHi,
What Paul means is that you should not be using
job_action=>
'/<directory_of_script>/scp_file_to_dbs.sh v_file_name_pdf',
Instead job_action should be the name of the shell script only. So you should have
job_action=>
'/<directory_of_script>/scp_file_to_dbs.sh',
number_of_arguments=>1
enabled=>false
And then make a call to dbms_scheduler.set_job_argument_value (for each argument) and finally a call to dbms_scheduler.enable.
Hope this helps,
Ravi. -
Error when running allocation logic
I am running the following allocation logic and get the following error:
*RUNALLOCATION
*FACTOR=USING/TOTAL
*DIM P_ACCT WHAT=CE0004010; WHERE=CE0004020; USING=CE0004030; TOTAL=<<<
*DIM ENTITY WHAT=A1000; WHERE=<<<; USING=<<<; TOTAL=<<<
*DIM TIME WHAT=2009.JAN; WHERE=>>>; USING=BAS(2009.TOTAL); TOTAL=<<<
*ENDALLOCATION
UJP_RULE_EXCEPTION:Missing [] on property name: WHAT=CE0004010. I get this error when executing the script using the program "UJK_SCRIPT_LOGIC_TESTER". I also get a similar error when running it via the data manager package.
Any thoughts on why this error is happening?Hi Sanjay,
I think you are using formula property for any of the dimension member used in the Allocation logic.
FYI Allocation will not work fine for the dimension members which is calculated using the formula written in the formula Property.
There is no problem with your script it looks fine.
Hope this might help you.
Loading script "script path-name" failed (0xC0000006) error when running scripts from DFS
We have this issue where any number of random scripts that execute at startup will produce the following error when run from DFS:
The status code for this error equates to STATUS_IN_PAGE_ERROR - The instruction at 0x%p referenced memory at 0x%p. The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of 0x%x.
This does not always happen each time and the script can be random. If we move the script(s) to a non DFS, we do not see this. I believe the issue is being caused by a minute disconnect to the DFS for whatever script is attempting to execute at that
moment. This happens across a few (consistent) offices on different computers.
Any ideas?Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you run scripts in a shared folder which is added to a DFS Namespace, then the error prompt. However, you can run the scripts when you directly access the shared folder.
What scripts did you run? Is there any error message in the Event Log? If so, please provide us the detailed error message for our further research.
Best Regards,
Mandy
I have an older Macbook with OS/X. Tried to download iTunes 10 a few times now, but when installing I always get the same error message: Run Preinstall Script for Apple Mobile Device Support. What can I do to finalise the installation?
Thanks. Short of the sort of "generic" suggestions of restaring your system, if you haven't, and repairing disk permissions and verifying the disk, I don't have any advice right now. I'll do some research and see if I can come across anything. Meanwhile, someone else may have an idea.
Deployment failing when running .bat script or command line file package
HI Guys,
I am trying to run a .bat file on a client using a program. My data source point to the script's folder.
I keeps failing with error 1.
I have trying making run in 64-bit using this without luck: http://madluka.wordpress.com/2012/09/24/configmgr-2012-64bit-file-system-redirection-bites-again/
Here is the content of my .bat file:
@ECHO OFF
IF NOT "%PROCESSOR_ARCHITEW6432%"=="AMD64" GOTO native
ECHO "Re-launching Script in Native Command Processor..."
%SystemRoot%\Sysnative\cmd.exe /c %0 %*
EXIT
:native
ECHO "Running Script in Native Command Processor..."
c:\
cd c:\windows\System32
start cmd.exe /c shutdown -l
stop
I will get the same error when running a simply command line as well. Instead of a .bat file.
any ideas?Maybe this will help you:
This instead of using "shutdown.exe -l" command. This tool can be used for logoff also. Hope it helps!
hello,
i am running a report, which has three parameters begin date, end date and dept full name.
for example when i am running the report with following parameter's works fine they are 01/01/2002, 02/02/2002 and dept name is Animal Control.
but when i am running the report with the following parameters its giving problem i.e.
01/01/2002, 02/02/2002 and dept name is Mayor's office its not running the report says command line syntax error rep-0159.
in the database the dept name is Like Mayor's office.
i dont know how to convert the apostrophe to a string or what ever, to get the report.
this is production problem.
please do help me out.
thanks.Hello!
I guess you are running your report using rwrun60.exe, probably in batch mode.
In such cases string parameter with single quote inside of it should be passed in a such way: rwrun60 ... paramname3='Mayor''s office' ...
In Reports 6.0.8.11.3 it works fine.
No problems at all if you are calling report from the Forms using run_product built-in and passing prameter list into the report.
ORA-00054 error when loading Oracle table using Data Services
Hello,
we are facing ORA-00054 error when loading Oracle table using BO Data services
(Oracle 10g database, BODS Xi 3.2 SP3)
Test Job performs
1- truncate table
2- load table (tested in standard and bulk load modes)
Scenario when issue happens is:
1- Run loading Job
2- Job end in error for any Oracle data base error
3- When re-running the same Job, Job fails with following error
ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified
It seems after first failure, Oracle session for loading the table stays active and locks the table.
To be able to rerun the Job, we are forced need to kill Oracle session manually to be able to run the Job again.
Expected behaviour would be : on error rollback modifications made on table and BODS stops Oracle session in a clean way.
Can somebody tell me / or point me to any BODS best practice about Oracle error handling to prevent such case?
Thanks in advance
Paul-Mariethe ora-0054 can occure depending how the job failed before. If this occures you will need the DBA to release the lock on the table in question
Or
AL_Engine.exe on The server it creates the Lock. Need to Kill Them. Or stop it..
This Problem Occurs when we select The Bulkloading Option in orclae We also faced the same issue,Our admin has Killed the session. Then everything alright.
Current.tdf in Home folder
Since September of 2004 I've had what is labeled as a Unix executable file called Current.tdf in my Home (user) folder. I can't imagine what it might be. Is this file required for OS X, or can it be safely trashed? (It's only 4K in size.)
