Error when Verifying Calculation

I am VERY new to Hyperion and I am trying to enter the following formula:
IF (“00112099” <= 0.125 * “Total Risk Weighted Assets”)
Then
(“80001941” + “00112099”)
Else
((“Total Risk Weighted Assets” * .0125) + “80001941”);
ENDIF
8001941 is another formula. I keep getting the error Error(1200354) - Error compiling formula for [80001943] (line 1): expected type [NUMBER] found [STRING] (["8001941"]) in function [operator @ADD] when I try to verify it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This line will needs a semi-colon at the end
(“80001941” + “00112099”)

  • Weird Error When Verifying External HDDs

    Hello
I'm getting a weird error when verifying my 2 external HDDs. Both give me an "invalid leaf record count" error. But only when I check them with the OSX install cd. If I check them in my user account, they come up OK. Both drives also gave me a "reserved fields in the catalog record have incorrect data" error. Disk Utility was able to fix that error, but not the invalid leaf error. I have tried multiple repairs, but DU says the volume cannot be repaired. The other weird thing is when I ran the first repair, it said 1 HFS Volume Repaired and 1 Volume could not be repaired. I have also tried using Disk Warrior, but it gives a "this volume appears to be formatted with a newer version of the OS" error.
Both these drives I had plugged into my mom's iMac (running 10.5--my eMac is running 10.3.9) because I had firewire problems back in June. Did 10.5 modify something that has 10.3 mixed up?
Is there something I can do to fix this or do I need to do another re-install?

OS X 10.5 does add additional attributes bits to the file descriptors, so using the drive under 10.5 would be expected to add those additional bits to at least the disk directory plus any modified files.
When you then check the drives using utilities created prior to OS X 10.5, those older utilities don't understand the additional bits and report then as errors (DU), of the utilities check first and refuse to run if the disk is tagged as from a latter OS version (DW).
There's a generic warning about mixing older utilities with newer OS versions in Only use Mac OS X 10.4-compatible disk utilities with Mac OS X 10.4 volumes.
I'd be ready to shrug the error reports off as spurious; however, that DU "corrected" the reserved bits suggests the drive directories will be rewritten again should you again move the drives to a 10.5 computer. Are you seeing any actual problems wiuth reading or writing to the external drives? If not, write it off to 10.5 settings bits that earlier versions ignore; it shouldn't affect your data.

  • Disk Error When Verifying with Disk Utility

I have a macbook pro intel with osx 10.4.8. I'm having trouble putting stuff into and emptying the trash so i tried the mac os disk utility. when i verified it i got the following error message
    Verifying volume “Macintosh HD”
    Checking HFS Plus volume.
    Checking Extents Overflow file.
    Checking Catalog file.
    Invalid sibling link
The volume Macintosh HD needs to be repaired.
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit
    1 HFS volume checked
    Volume needs repair
The disk repair button remained grayed out so i couldn't perform the repair. any ideas?

    You're in troubles. :-/
You can try another disk utility, but basically, the best to do, first, is a low-level formatting (format with the "zero data" option checked).
If it finish that, then reinstall a system and go ahead (keep backups up to date tho)
If it does not, you will have to get the hard disk changed.

  • Error when using Calculation Area or AutoSum

Why do I get an error when trying to use AutoSum? It says "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".  I can't use it all.  Nor can I manually create a calculation in the Calculation Area at the bottom of a PowerPivot worksheet.
I am able to build a calculation directly in Excel from the PowerPivot->Calculated Fields menu option. But not from within PowerPivot.

    Hi Martina,
This sounds very much like a bug.
Check that you have installed the latest updates for Office/Excel
If you're using Excel 2010, check that you have the latest version of the Power Pivot add-in: http://office.microsoft.com/en-ca/excel/download-powerpivot-HA101959985.aspx
Try a repair on your Power Pivot add-in installation (Excel 2010)
Try a repair on your Office/Excel installation (Excel 2010/2013)
If none of these things resolve the issue, or you've already tried them, you could report the bug here https://connect.microsoft.com.

  • IFSConfig gets an error when verifying jserv

    Hi
When installing ifs9i(9.0.1.1.1) I receive an error when ifsconfig verifies the database - it happens when verify gets to the jserv.
ifsconfig tries to call the java command, but gets an IOExecption unable to Createprocess: c:oracleora9i/apache.../java.
What is missing here is that the correct command would be
c:/oracle/ora9i/apache.../java. I have been through all files (bat and cl) to make sure that all directories are either specified by / or by \ but none of these changes makes ifsconfig work.
The database is an Oracle9i - (9.0.1.2.1) configured as a datawarehouse database (through universal installer).

    Hi Jan,
    Check the following file:
    ORACLE_HOME\9ifs\settings\oracle\ifs\installer\properties\DirectoryConstant.properties
See what are the values for IFS_JRE and IFS_OH_JRE. If they have missing "/" in the path then that might be the problem.

  • Disk Utility error when verifying DIY fusion drive

    Hi,
It has been a while since I had to post a problem, but I need others advice on this if you can help.  When 10.8.3 came out I installed an M4 512gb ssd in my main drive bay of 2008 unibody aluminium macbook and put a 1tb spinner in the optibay.  Created a fusion drive, migrated data and all has been great.  Decided to run disk utility today to check for any errors as I had a sleep issue with the 10.8.4 update which I ended up solving by changing the sleep settings in terminal - the issue had caused a few forced shutdowns.  I have Disk Utitliy Version 13 (450). The Fusion drive is shown as the logical volume group followed by the volume disk.  When I run a verify disk on the volume itself it is all ok:

I got the same when I did a safe boot and when rebooted from the recovery partition.y question is, do I repair or could it damage my setup?  eg is Disk Utility being accurate and it can repair the error, or is it a phantom issue that should be ignored bearing in mind it's a DIY fusion drive and it could end up getting mashed?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
The computer's running fine since I sorted the sleep issue.  No issues as far as I can tell, which is why I was surprised to see the error.  What does the error actually mean - is it saying that the volume is a different size than the computer thinks it should be and therefore it'll just change a few values?  In which case I suppose a repair is harmless?  I just don't want to repair and then reboot to find the volume corrupted.

  • Invalid node structure error when verifying hard disk, please help

My 27" Mid 2011 iMac is having hard disk issues. I attempted to repair the disk but received an error that said the disk cannot be repaired and needs to be re-formatted. I have all my files backed up to an external hard drive so I erased and formatted the disk. After reformatting, I ran the verify disk function and got the message saying the HD appears to working properly. I reload OSX Lion and within a day, my computer freezes up and acts as if something is wrong. When I run the verify disk, I get the Invalid Node Structure error multiple times and then the message saying the disk cannot be repaired and I need to reformat the drive. I have completed this process several times and have had no luck. I have looked at a few forums with people who have had somewhat similar problems but am still unsure. I have seen people recommend programs like Disk Warrior to repair issues the hard disk utility cannot but I don't want to spend $100 dollars on this program if my hard disk is damaged and needs to be replaced. Any suggestions? Thank you

  • DVD Error when verifying

    Hi,
I have a macbook 15", when I burn a small file I can get it done but when I try to burn around 3 GB on a 4.7GB Disc I get the following error during the verification proccess:
"This disc did not verify correctly and it is unreliable. Because this disc is unreliable, discard it and try again using a new blank disk (Error code 0x80020063)"
    Has anyone seen this before?
    Thanks in advanced.

For those who might be interested on this problem, I have found the answer and it looks more like an OS issue.
It seems like when your are burning a CD or DVD while you are working (with other applications open) on your macbook, for some reason there are files that apparently change on the background causing the Finder application not to be able to verify the CD or DVD because the information does not match. In my personal case, I was not working on any of the information I was placing on the CD or DVD directly but indirectly.
Now, if you close all the applications and burn a CD or DVD it works without any problems. The problem is that when you use the Finder to burn, it creates a shorcut instead of taking the actual folder and copy it so the data can be modified on the actual application but not on the burning folder. I wonder why Apple hasn't looked into this problem.
    Thank you.

  • Error when verifying hard drive

I restarted a "snow" iMac (OS 10.2.8•256MB RAM•600 MHz• G3) with the system disc and verified/repaired permissions. I then tried to verify the hard drive and the following message appeared:
"The disk hard drive failed to unmount because it is in use. The operation has been cancelled."
What does this mean and how can I verify the hard drive?

No. You need to use a bootable installer disc for the same major version as the installed OS (e.g., if you have 10.3.x installed then use any Panther installer disc.) An upgrade disc can only boot a computer that has an earlier version of OS X installed. A Jaguar upgrade disc can only boot a computer with 10.1.x installed.

  • Error when Verifying Disk.  Any hope of not having to format?

Installed updates the other day, and my Macbook Air would not boot after this. It just sat there with the Apple logo and the circling clock deal below it.
I had a Snow Leopard DVD which I hadn't gotten around to installing yet. Booted off of it and ran the Disk Utility. It found the following:
"Incorrect block count for file http/%2F%2Fwww.apple.com%2Fstartpage%2F.webhistory (It should be 2 instead of 0 )" and "Invalid sibling link"
I then selected "Repair", but it reported that the disk could not be repaired
Incidentally, I also selected the option to install Snow Leopard at this point, but it did not list my hard drive under "Select target drive" or whatever the installer says.
Many are suggesting I just format the disk and install Snow Leopard to see how that goes. But I worry whether the drive is physically failing, and whether that would be a waste of my time and I should just replace the drive under my warranty. Is there any different utility I could use or any other hope of getting out of formatting and starting all over? I do have backups of my data, but it's just one of those things. I want to exhaust all my options. Thanks in advance.

I had this issue once before on my MacBook. The only other way to fix the issue is to invest in DiskWarrior and see if that will help.
I'd go ahead & erase the drive, restore your data, and see if the problem comes back. If so, get the drive replaced.
You also want to check your backup drive & make sure it has no issues as well.

I have checked all content related to this error but not able to find a solution.
    Please advise

Though your calc view name could be small, the 'fully qualified' calculation view name could be bigger than 127 character.
    Fully Qualified name = <packagename.packagename.packagename.....>/<calc view name>
For each calc view that you activate, HANA internally creates more than one column views (based on your attributes) which are found under the _SYS_BIC schema and there it will fail if the column view name is exceeding 127 characters.
Solution: make sure the fully qualified name is not too big

  • Time machine error: Filesystem verify or repair failed

    Hi all,
Been using a Maxtor One Touch Mini for my TM back ups. All of a sudden I get failures.
    - I get the message: Filesystem verify or repair failed.
    - I once canceled a TM back up while it was in progress and my gut says this must have something to do with it.
    - I've run disk utility and get the same error when verifying.
    - I can read my files and copy them off the drive. I cannot transfer files to this drive. I can also enter TM and view the previous TM backups, etc.
Anyone have tips for me on how to handle this?? Thanks!
    -Dooki

Reformat it anyway. You can probably continue using it, I just wouldn't trust it 100%.
I learned many years ago (the hard way, of course ) not to trust my backups to a single app or piece of hardware. No app is perfect, and certainly no hardware is infallible.
Many of us keep both full Time Machine backups and a bootable "clone," preferably on a separate HD, via CarbonCopyCloner (which I use) or the similar SuperDuper. There are variations, but typically a clone is an exact copy of your system, with none of the previous copies of things you've deleted or changed, like Time Machine keeps. Unlike Time Machine, you can boot and run your Mac normally (but a bit slower) from them.
This gives you the advantages of both types of backup, and protects you from a problem with one of them (external drives fail, too). Some folks do the "clone" to a portable external HD, and take it to their safe deposit box, workplace, relative's house, or other secure location periodically. Others have a pair that they swap weekly or so. Thus they're also protected against fire, flood, theft, direct lightning strike on their power lines, etc.
CCC is donationware, so you can use it free for a while. If you decide to keep it, send them some $$ so they can keep it up to date. SD has a free version, but to do updates (rather than a full replacement) or automatic scheduling, you need the paid version (about $30).
Either is available via Google, VersionTracker.com, or MacUpdate.com.

  • SharePoint Designer 2010 Error occurs when accessing Edit Form: "The server returned a non-specific error when trying to get data from the data source ..." This occurs when using "" in a calculated column in a SharePoint List

    I created a calculated column "Expiration Date" in SharePoint 2010 with formula, =IF([Contingent Hire]=TRUE,(Created+90),(IF([Contingent Hire]=FALSE," ")))
This works in the SharePoint list but when I go to edit the Edit Form in Designer. I get the error specified in the title of this post. I'm trying to make it so the Expiration Date is blank when another column, "Contingent Hire" (a YES/No
    column) is FALSE.
The Edit Form is essentially a DataViewWebpart. If I remove the " ", like so, "(IF([Contingent Hire]=FALSE,))" from the calc column, the error goes away; however, the Expiration Date field does not
remain blank like I want it to.
Does anyone have any suggestions? (Below is the error generated when I open Designer and then try to open the Edit form for the corresponding list containing the calc column)
    JackSki123

    Hi Jack,
Could you provide a screenshot about this issue?
As Dimitri suggested, you can install the update for your SharePoint Designer and check again.
And you can also check if you can display "NA" instead of " " in your calculated column per the following post.

Well, I'm trying to figure out how you're doing this from a recovery disk. The only way to reinstall Mountain Lion is through the Recovery HD in the computer. Hold Cmd/R as you are starting up the computer and keep holding it. Eventually you'll get a screen asking you to select the language. Hit continue to select english and you'll get a Mac OS X Utilities Menu with the second option down being reinstall OS X.
