Error while connecting to client from custom code 11g
Hi,
I am trying to connect to the OIM client using a simple code as per documentation in:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/dev.1112/e27150/apis.htm#CIHDFGAJ
The snipped is like:
System.out.println("Creating client....");
String ctxFactory = "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory";
String serverURL = "t3://Hostname:port";
String username = "username";
String password = "password";
Hashtable env = new Hashtable();
env.put(OIMClient.JAVA_NAMING_FACTORY_INITIAL,ctxFactory);
env.put(OIMClient.JAVA_NAMING_PROVIDER_URL, serverURL);
oimClient = new OIMClient(env);
System.out.println(" Logging in");
oimClient.login(username, password);
System.out.println("Log in successful");
Envoked the method in main class but i am recieveing following error:
Creating client....
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/jrf/PortabilityLayerException
at cgc.com.customcode.OIMCustomCode.initiate(OIMCustomCode.java:30)
at cgc.com.customcode.OIMCustomCode.changeEmail(OIMCustomCode.java:50)
at cgc.com.customcode.OIMCustomCode.main(OIMCustomCode.java:81)
A bit of inspection shows error on code line :
--> oimClient = new OIMClient(env);
Is this a known issue, is there a way out ?
Thanks in advance
Thanks all,
Including jrf-api as per Sagar fixed the exception, then the error for APP_SERVER not found was coming:
I included the lines of code as suggested by NN:
System.setProperty("java.security.auth.login.config",authConfigLoc);
System.setProperty("APPSERVER_TYPE", "wls");
The code worked fine but giving some sort of exceptions:

Have you been able to figure out what the issue is and/or what the library location should be? -
Error while executing Report migrated from 6i to 11g
Hello,
We have migrated forms & reports from 6i to 11g.
Most of the reports work fine but we are having issue with very few reports.
Let me explain the issue here:
We have a Form that Runs a report.
The Report has a PLL which loads a C library and calls a C Function. [using ORA_FFI]
The C Function which is called has embedded SQL in it.
The Report Server Engine crashes on encountering the first Executable SQL statement. [A Select or Insert]
Need help to resolve this as we have tried a lot of things and not been successful.
Below is a gist of the errors we see in teh Report server logs:

Regards,
KVS
I can post the other logs if it helps.Hi Rajesh,
If you just want to execute the report in web, you can do one thing.
Go to Query designer of your relevent system.
Open the Query which you want to execute in Web.
Then in the Query tab(first one) in the drop down list you have the Option 'execute'./ the 5th Icon in the Query designer screen.On clicking this it will open a new window( Internet Explorer) and prompts for your system credentials.
Upon providing them the query start executing if it deosn't have any selections, else selection screen appears.
You can save the link and can use this when ever you want to execute the query.Use it in the BW system environment's Intrenet explorer only.
Hope this helps.

Intermittent errors while configuring a model in custom ui: P_3040383 :4 No
Hi All,
We have implemented custom configurator in our company. It was working fine, but from last one year we are getting some intermittent error while configuring an item from custom ui.
All errors look like this.
P_3040383 : No such variable defined
This number P_3040383 changes every time.
This is an intermittent issue. To replicate this issue we need to keep on trying to configure an item with same options. After trying 2-3 time this error occurs. We are facing this issue in all the models we are using. Please help and let us know how to find the root cause of the issue.
Thanks

Edited by: 950124 on Jul 31, 2012 4:36 PMHi Hussein,
I tried to capture the runtime exception in jserv.log file and found that most of the time it throwing error in below code.
ioption.getState()
another piece of code that is throwing same error.
IRuntimeNode iruntimenode1 = statusinfo.getNode();
IRuntimeNode iruntimenode2 = iruntimenode1.getParent();
int j = iruntimenode1.getType();
I also got below exception but it is very rare.
oracle.apps.cz.cio.LogicalRuntimeException: Fatal Logic Error: P_1964 :4 No such variable defined
I am not able to understand why same code shows two different behavior for same set of data.
Please give me some idea so that i can work in right direction.
Thanks

Error while connecting to the database from a JSP Page
Hi,
I am using a simple JSP page which is based on the sample JSP pages from OTN.
When I try to connect to my database using the following code:
InitialContext ic = new InitialContext();
OracleDataSource ds = (OracleDataSource)ic.lookup("jdbc/OTN9iDS");
m_connection = ds.getConnection();
I get the following error:
Naming exception Error while connecting to the database : javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: jdbc/OTN9iDS not found in JDBCTest-JDBCTestProject-webapp
Does anybody know wht this is happening?
Any help would be appreciated
FRankHi Frank,
Are you using standalone OC4J or 9iAS ? If you are using standalone OC4J then you need to add a proper data source entry in %OC4J_HOME%j2ee\home\config\data-sources.xml file.
If you are using 9iAS the you can log in to the Enterprise Manager console and add the data source entry by using wizard provided by 9iAS.
Ensure the case of the JNDI lookup string, since, it is case sensitive.
Hope this helps.

Getting error while connecting Utility Customer E-Services
I am getting the following error while connecting to Utility Customer E-Services through the browser.
Error: Your user master has not been created correctly. Contact your system administrator.
Please advise some fix for this problem.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
NitinHi Mattia,
yes, I had resolved this problem. It requires some configuration in ume database of the WebAS, where UCES application is hosted.
1) Create a user in ume.
2) Assign group "Everyone" and "Authenticated Users" to the user
3) Within Customized Information tab, create the mapping between your web user, reference user and business partner.
fscm_refuser: Use reference user id. ( user id to login to ISU system )
objtype_0: BUS1006
objkey_0: User business partner details ( business partner number in ISU)
If there is no customized Information tab, then open visual administrator and do the following.
1) Navigate to Services->Configuration Adapter
2) Click on Runtime tab -> Display configuration
3) Navigate to cluster_data -> server -> cfg -> services -> Propertysheet com.sap.security.core.ume.service
4) Add the following in ume.admin.addattrs.
com.sap.security.core.user.refuser:fscm_refuser;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_0;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_0;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_1;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_1;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_2;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_2;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_3;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_3;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_4;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_4;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_5;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_5;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_6;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_6;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_7;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_7;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_8;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_8;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_9;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_9;com.sap.security.core.useces:objtype_10;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_10;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_11;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_11;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_12;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_12;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_13;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_13;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_14;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_14;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_15;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_15;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_16;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_16;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_17;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_17;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_18;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_18;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_19;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_19;

Infrequent Error while connection application from Workspace
In HFM Workspace (9.3.1) some users are getting the following error while connecting to application. The error is infrequent.
" Please make sure that the Application you are trying to launch is registered with SharedSerivces. SharedServices must be running for the feature you are trying to access. Close the browser window and try logging into workspace again after a little while. Contact your administrator for further information.'
Shared service is running fine and the users are able to connect to application after they close the browser and try again. Has any one experienced this?You might want to try applying HSS 9.3.1 Service fix 12
this addressed the following two issues.
7595698 – “Registered app is not active …” error. Active Financial Management application is sometimes listed as inactive.
7586480 –Inactive Planning applications. After about 30 minutes, Planning applications in User Management Console are listed in inactive status. -

Can anybody provide me solution for this
I also tried with java.util.Properties class but result is same.You are running on Windows 9x or Me, right? The darn OS has 300 or so bytes allocated for environment by default.
Try setting the Initial environment to 4096 in the Properties|Memory tab for the batch file. That will get rid of "Out of environment space". The syntax error is another matter; Windows (except NT and derivatives) shells do not allow '=' in an environment variables value. You cannot overcome that. Some software (Sybase for instance) interprets # as = just because of that. Unfortunately, the JVM doesn't take such an approach.
Better, grab copies of Unix utilities for Windows (www.gnu.org) including the wonderful shell 'bash' and write .sh scripts, which are inherently more powerful. -
Hi,
I have installed Oracle Workflow Builder 2.6.3 recently on my system and after installation, when I am trying to connect the workflow builder (using database username/password of that particular instance), it is throwing me the following error:
220: Unable to set NLS_LANGUAGE.
210: Oracle Error: ORA-01403: no data found
. SQL text: SELECT NLS_LANGUAGE FROM WF_LANGUAGES WHERE :l IN (NLS_LANGUAGE, CODE)
In the previous threads when I searched for the same issue, I found that if
select value from v$nls_parameters
where parameter='NLS_CHARACTERSET';
returns the value other then WE8ISO8859P1 then that is what I should change my NLS_LANG entry for the builder - i.e. AMERICAN_AMERICA.<character set>.
But I am not getting where should I change NLS_LANG, it is located where...some file? I am new to Workflow.
Please help me. I tried a lot. Any type of help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
SumirThis issue (and solution) is described in ML Doc 577905.1 (Error While Connecting To Database Via Workflow Builder)

Installing Java Dialog Instance - Error while connecting to DB
We would like to add a dialog instance to our production Portal server. We installed Portal as stand-alone on the central instance. We have another server we would like to setup to serve as a Portal dialog instance.
So far I have installed Windows 2003 Server Standard. Installed MSSQL server client tools (database is mssql server). Installed jdk 1.4.62. Set java home and path environmental variables. I'm now installing the Java dialog instance (I can't find any documentation on this). From Netweaver installation CD> SAP NetWeaver '04 Support Release 1> Java System> MS SQL Server> Dialog Instance Installation>
SAP System ID: (sid) ES2
Central Host: SAPEPS02
Path to JAVA DVD supplied> JDK Directory confirmed> Domain paramaters confirmed> domain<sid> account passwords supplied> domain<service><sid> account password supplied> Instance number confirmed>
Installation started> It gets to step 8 and fails stating "Error while connecting to DB". I looked through all the log files and couldn't come up with anything (i'm very thorough).
I tried adding the users to the database as dbowners (no luck). I installed SQL server 2000 with SP4. No where during this installation did I get prompted for database parameters?
Is there something basic i'm missing? Does this scenario not work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pointing me in the right direction of the correct documentation would also be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Brad DridiHi Brad,
I am facing the same problem. I hope by now you must have got the solution for this.
Can you please let me know how did you overcome this situation?
Thank you!!

Deserialization Error while connecting to web service
I am getting a deserialization error while connecting to a web service.
Deserializing parameter 'ScheduleReceiveService': could not find deserializer for type {http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema}anyType...
There are two methods ex
UserDefinedClass1 methodA(java.lang.Object ) and
UserDefinedClass2 methodB(UserDefinedClass3)
And when i generate java files using WSDL2Java using apache axis the UserDefinedClass is generated as follows.
public class UserDefinedClassA implements java.io.Serializable {
private java.lang.Object _return;
// There are other methods for setting the attributes,hashCode,equals etc
Now when i try to invoke the method from the client i get this as an error ?
Deserializing parameter 'UserDefinedClass': could not find deserializer for type {http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema}anyType
Appreciate any suggestion.Hi Manohara,
To download the file from SharePoint, I recommend to use the credential for a user who can access the file in SharePoint in the client object model.
NetworkCredential credentials = new NetworkCredential(“username”, “pwd”, “domain”);
ClientContext context = new ClientContext(“http://thesitecollection”);
context.Credentials = credentials;
Best regards.
Thanks

in the page bindings added the method in method action ..left empty in the value fields of the parameters.
calling the method from managed bean like below
String userNameVal = (String)userName.getValue();
String passwordVal = (String)password.getValue();
OperationBinding operationBinding =
ADFUtils.findOperation("verifyLogin");
operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("userName",userNameVal);
operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("password",passwordVal);
operationBinding.execute();
i am getting operation verifyLogin not found error.Please suggest me something to do.
Thanks
SatyaHi vlsn,
Can you try with the below code
// in your backing bean
OperationBinding operation = bindings.getOperationBinding("verifyLogin");
//Put your both parameters here
operation.getParamsMap().put("parameter_name1", parameterValue1);
operation.getParamsMap().put("parameter_name2", parameterValue2);
operation.execute();
if (operation.getResult() != null) {
Boolean result = (Boolean) operation.getResult();
and share the result.
