HI shenna,
we can fix a substitution variable, that should not be a problem. when you say that you are able to use substituion variable outside, do you mean to say that when you are not fixing, its parsing perfectly.

  • Error while executing the workbook query.

    Hi guyz
    i'm getting an error while executing the workbook Query. The actual problem is there is a filter for REQUID in the query definition for removing the doble count. there is customer exit written. the report works fine in DEVELOPMENT but it is not working in quality.
    The query on which this workbook is created is working fine, but the problem is when we execute the workbook i'm facing this issue.
    we re-transported the queries but still we are facing the same problem.
    while we execute the query we are prompted for variable entry(Optional) for date. when we press OK we get the below error
    " NO SID value found for the value REQU_4DQT75Y2RJPVT4PXZ4LHC70V3 of characteristic"
    the request is not available in the BW system. the request was deleted long back, but it is still referring to the same the request id
    could someone please tell me where we went wrong and why we are getting this error.
    Regards,
    Anil Vadde

    Hey ,I think data load to your target on which the query was based had some issue.
    Can you check the data load to the data target.change the status of request concerned to red and delete.do reconstruct if neeed..I think the request had some issue.
    Even you can go to RSRQ or RSMO and filter on the basis of this request and see its status.

  • Error while executing the salweek

    Hi ,
    Error while executing the salweek
    salweek_1~20110508140932~init~system_variables~-1455~ORA-01455: converting column overflows integer datatype~CURSOR FETCH: cursor=c_sys_vars
    Can anyone suggest me to solve the issue?
    Regards,
    Sushanth

    What is your RMS version????????
    Open salweek.pc, find the SQL for the cursor c_sys_vars, execute that in SQL*Plus or whatever and look for funny or very long values.
    Scan further through the Pro*C source code to where it says fetch, and check the datatype definitions of the C variables being fetched into, to be long enough to hold the variables that the cursor produces.
    Search support.oracle.com for this issue.
    If indeed a code issue with a variable type mismatch, file an SR and make sure it is patched.

  • Run-time error while executing alv grid report

    Hi everyone
    I m trying to run a alv grid report it is giving a run time error while executing the statement CALL METHOD V_ALV->SET_TOOLBAR_INTERACTIVE.
    Actually i added 2 buttons in the toolbar.after that when i execute the report i m getting errors.
    <b>Error Analysis</b>
    An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
    The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL', was not
    caught in
    procedure "TOOLBAR_MENUS_INIT" "(METHOD)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING
    clause.
    Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
    exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
    The reason for the exception is:
    You attempted to use a 'NULL' object reference (points to 'nothing')
    access a component (variable: "ME->M_CL_MENU_BUTTON_VARIANT").
    An object reference must point to an object (an instance of a class)
    before it can be used to access components.
    Either the reference was never set or it was set to 'NULL' using the
    CLEAR statement.

    Hi Dinesh,
    Seems you have not initialised ( Instantiated in OO ) the object and / or the parent container.
    Check if you have create object for both the parent as well as the alv object.
    So when you instatntiate the object of ALV you pass the object ( instantiated before hand ) in the parent container position.
    Also you would have to register the events to the object using method. Then only the buttons will finction.
    eg :
    IF G_CUSTOM_CONTAINER IS INITIAL.
        CREATE OBJECT CUSTOM_CONTAINER_1
               EXPORTING CONTAINER_NAME = CONTAINER_1.
        CREATE OBJECT GRID1
               EXPORTING I_PARENT = CUSTOM_CONTAINER_1.
        CALL METHOD ALV_GRID1->SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY
             EXPORTING I_STRUCTURE_NAME = 'VBAK
             CHANGING  IT_OUTTAB        = IT_VBAK.
    Reward points if useful.

    If reading Excel as a database you would use "Access LSLINK"
    Access external means you are reading a file. I don't think it is possible to treat Excel as a file because the internal structure is complex.
    In the past I have saved the Excel as a CSV or as a Tab delimeted file. Then I use something like

    To your original question...
    Is the link name supposed to be variable?
    What do you mean by 'hard coding' the values, do you mean in the procedure itself so you'd actually PROC_ENR_ACC();?
    What happens when you run this?DECLARE
    start_date DATE;
    end_date DATE;
    BEGIN
    start_date := '01-JAN-2009';
    end_date := '01-FEB-2009';
    PROC_ENR_ACC(start_date, end_date);
    END;
    I need to know exactly how to recreate your error...

    The connection "{79D920D4-9229-46CA-9018-235B711F04D9}" is not found. This error is thrown by Connections collection when the specific connection element is not found.
    Cannot find the connection manager with ID "{79D920D4-9229-46CA-9018-235B711F04D9}" in the connection manager collection due to error code 0xC0010009. That connection manager is needed by "OLE DB Destination.Connections[OleDbConnection]"
    in the connection manager collection of "OLE DB Destination". Verify that a connection manager in the connection manager collection, Connections, has been created with that ID.
    OLE DB Destination failed validation and returned error code 0xC004800B.
    One or more component failed validation.
    There were errors during task validation.
    Code :
       public static string RunDTSPackage()
                Package pkg;
                Application app;
                DTSExecResult pkgResults;

                pkg = app.LoadPackage(@"D:\WORK\Package.dtsx", null);
         Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.DTSExecResult results = pkg.Execute();
    I have recreate the application with again new connection in SSIS.
    Still not working, Please provide solution if any one have.

    Are you sure that you are running the same package via .NET which works fine from Visual Studio?
    By reading error message, I can say that you have copied OLEDB task from another package OR you have deleted one OLEDB connection manager. Now when package is run this task tries to use the connection manager and not found thus throws error message.
    Open all OLEDB destination tasks and you find connection manager missing. Connection Manager name should be provided there

  • Error while executing BEx

    hi !
    I am getting the following error while executing the query .
    Abort system error In program Cl_RSDM_READ_MASTER_DATA and form_sidval_direct_
    Please suggest .

    Do you have any replacment path variable defined in the query?
    MASTER_DATA_READ is done either by end of the query execution (before the formating the result area) or while performing the value population for any formula / KF where replacement path is used.

    Just another reminder, apart from configuring the incoming (say POP3) server correctly, in order for a receive "onMessage" operation work in a POP3 email partner, a "subscribe" operation must be performed on the same partner link first.
    Here is a working example:
    <assign>
    <copy>
    <from>
    <subscription xmlns="http://services.oracle.com/bpel/mail">
    <mailAccount>kaugen-mail</mailAccount>
    <filter>from='[email protected]'</filter>
    </subscription>
    </from>
    <to variable="subscriptionRequest" part="payload"/>
    </copy>
    </assign>
    <invoke name="subscribe" partnerLink="MailService"
    portType="mail:MailService"
    operation="subscribe" inputVariable="subscriptionRequest"/>
    <receive name="receiveResult" createInstance="no"
    partnerLink="MailService" portType="mail:MailServiceCallback"
    operation="onMessage" variable="message"/>
    Thanks!
    And, I totally agree that we need to improve our error handling and messages.
