Error while stopping starting servers
Hi All..
Whenever I am issuing the command:-
ccm.sh -start all .
or
ccm.sh -stop all
or
stopservers
I am getting following error while stopping or starting the server :
.../BOXI3O/bobje/setup/jscripts/ccmunix.js:266: TypeError: sampleLog has no properties.
Can somebody please help me out.

To enable tracing :
At page 200 of this guide, you have one method :

Other one is to enter the CMC, and add the "-trace" parameter on eache server you want to trace. But since you are not able to start it...
Also, in the CMS you can do it also, but I do not know how this can be done for a unix install...
When tracing is enabled, you can check at <BO install dir>/logging for trace log files, to see if there is any info in it.

JSPM: Error while detecting start profile for instance with ID _c.
Hi Experts,
we have an error when we start JSPM with message "cannot initialize application data. Error while detecting start profile for instance with ID _c." . Until now nothing has been updated yet. The system can be started up and shut down without any problem. The profiles are found in /usr/sap/PMA/SYS/profile
Our BI system is currently Netweaver 7.0 with SPS14. We plan to update it to SPS20. But when we start JSPM, we have abover error.

There is not much information about the error in the log file you have pasted above.
Please repeat the issue and catch the log files once again.

Also make sure you set the classpath before running this command
If you are testing with any service pack prior to sp8, I would suggest you
test with the latest service pack for WebLogic Server 5.1 which is sp10.
If you need just the service pack for WLS 5.1 , you will need to have a
websupport login and password. Please refer to this url for more
information on this.

Error while stopping Weblogic server
I have created a new domain and installed my application here, after deplotyment when i stop teh server it throws the following exception:
Cannot shutdown a server when using a BootIdentify file AND running in Production mode
I have created boot.properties file also.still it is throwing this error,.I am not getting any clue on this error, there is no clear details availablei n the archives also , so please advise.

Yes, it was working before. No changes done. But, I think the mistake I did was that the previous time I stopped/started the application , I did it with the login as root instead of the application user called applprod -which I was supposed to use.
I think that is why the permission denied errors. Otherwise no changes.
I am new to this and do not know how to run Autoconfig.

Getting following error while we starting up cache engine

We always getting following error, when we try to restart our 4 cache engine ie 4th coherence node all the time. We are having cluster with WKA type with 6 member in it. First 3 member start normally without any issues. But the 4 th one always ends up in the following issue. Even we change starting order for coherence nodes, first 3 will go fine, from 4 th onwards, we are getting the following problem.

This was a problem in earlier releases of Coherence and you can try to configure the <thread-pool> for your Distributed Cache and see if the problem goes away. I am having a problem while I want to stop Apache Service using "standard" script "adapcctl.sh".
I am getting next error message, when I execute "adapcctl.sh stop apps/<apps_password>

A small install of this for a lab environment should be available. I wanted to make some training docs on basic setup, adding devices, "getting around", etc... for my company training. 20017 IOMan error while database start
Hello,
today in the morning we had a strange behaviour of our database (maxdb 7.5.38 on 64bit opensuse).
We monitored that the log devspace was rapidly increasing its filling level, even if autolog was set to "on".
I decided to create a second log device (also 400MB), but the log devspace remains on its original size (400MB). Is a db restart needed to permit this additional log devspace ?
At the filling level of 97% I decided to restart the database, because I had no idea why the autolog functionality isn't working anymore.
At startup I got an error, telling me "emergency shutdown...".
About one minute after that error I tried it again and now the database came back to state online.
Thereby I have to open questions:
- why was the log devspace getting filled up, even the enabled autolog ?
- what happened at the first attempt of starting the database ?
- are there some dependencies to the knldiag.err-entry of 2008-12-08 "...BD Primkey..." ?

I installed oracle 10g application server. its installed fine. But now i am facing a problem in which i am getting the following error message when i try to start opmnctl from command prompt:

i checked the log already but there is not such problem defined in it.

Steps to stop / start CRS & ASM in RAC 11gr2
Hello Gurus,
Environment is as below:
RAC 2 nodes
Oracle RAC 11gr2
Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5 (Carthage)
I am new to Oracle RAC 11gr2 and facing some issues while stop / start crs & asm.
We want to reboot both nodes and for that I have done following steps.
1. srvctl stop database -d <db name> -- from one node
Databse is down now.2. srvctl stop nodeapps -n <hostname> -- from both nodes
services are down now.3. Now I want to stop asm
$ export ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/11.2.0/grid ( Grid Home)
$ srvctl stop asm - This is not stopping ASM instance.
4. crsctl stop crs -- this is also not working.
I would appreciate if you please give me full steps.

In 11gr2 you can stop all resouces as below
<CRS_HOME>/bin/crsctl stop has
or you can stop in the following sequence
stop or relocate service using srvctl
stop instnace using srvctl
stop asm using srvctl
stop nodeapps using srvctl
stop cluster resources as root - <CRS_HOME>/bin/crsctl stop has
To start
<CRS_HOME>/bin/crsctl start has - it should bring all resources automatically
verify the services status and start or relocate it back. -
Hi All,
we are getting below error while starting Admin Server.
we have tried resetting boot.properties file and deleting ldap files, clearing caceh, tmp files but no luck.
Please let us know if anyone has any solution:

I reckon the boot.properties is not correct. You can recreate the file - adding the new credentials. Check the OBE [url http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/fmw/wls/10g/r3/installconfig/enable_auto_login/boot_identity_file.htm]Enabling Auto Login by Using the Boot Identity File for more information.
