Can you indicate the exact version of Adobe LiveCycle that is being used? Also, please let me know which application server, database and MS Office versions are being used.
Also, please delete (or achive) your existing application server log files, and restart your application server. Then repeat the steps that lead to this error.
Finally, please post the application server log files.

I have created jndi from console which I have mentioned in DBAdapter and I have provided details of JNDI to DbAdapter in deployment.
I am not able to solve this.

I'm the Director of Engineering at Noetix that is responsible for Noetix Generator for OBIEE.
Noetix Generator utilizes OBI's web services in order to validate that your OBI admin client and server have matching versions. The validation error you're seeing appears to be caused by a permission issue while accessing the "/system/version" folder of your web catalog through that web service.
One thing you could check is the OBI account you're using in Noetix Generator to access the BI Server. That account should have administrative privileges in OBI.
I also noticed that you're attempting to use OBI 11.1.1.6.8, which we don't currently support. Your existing version of Noetix Generator may work with it, but we won't claim official support until we certify our generator against it. That will come in a future release.

PDF Generator Watched Folder Settings

Hi, In Livecycle ES PDF Generator, I am using the Distiller Service with a Watched Folder Endpoint to convert my files. I can currently get an output into the Result folder such as C:\livecycle\WatchedFolder\Result\<inputfilename>\output.pdf This is using \%F\ as the Output Parameter in the WatchedFolder settings which is described here: ------------------------------------------- Output Parameter Mappings Used to configure the outputs of the service and operation. These choices are available: Single Object: The pattern is Result\%F.ps and the source destination is Result\sourcefilename.ps. List: The pattern is Result\%F\ and the source destination is Result\sourcefilename\source1 (output 1) and Result\sourcefilename\source2 (output 2). Map: The pattern is Result\%F\ and the source destination is Result\sourcefilename\file1 and Result\sourcefilename\file2. If there is more than one object in the map the pattern is Result\%F.ps and the source destination is Result\sourcefilename1.ps (output 1) and Result\sourcefilenam2.ps (output 2). ---------------------------------------- I was wondering if it is possible to have the output directed to a location like: C:\livecycle\WatchedFolder\Result\output.pdf without the extra folder in the Result directory as I had previously. Any Tutorial / Sample to create Single PDF from multiple source files using PDF assembler in a watched folder process. I have a client application which will prepare number of source files and some meta data information (in .XML) which will be used in header/footer. Is it possible to put a run time generated DDX file in the watch folder and use it in Process. If possible how can I pass the file names in the DDX. Any sample Process will be very helpful.

If possible, make use of Assembler API in your client application instead of doing this using watched folder. Here are the Assembler samples : LiveCycle ES2.5 * Programming with LiveCycle ES2.5
Watched folder can accept zip files (sample : Configuring a watched folder to handle multiple input files and write results to a single folder | Adobe LiveCycle Blog ). I am also facing parallel processing error while using the function module RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ in transformation.
when only one data package is there, the load happens without any issue. But when multiple data packages are involved the load fails with an error "Exception in parallel processing".

I got the following information from the function module documentation of the FM RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ.
If neither I_SAVE_IN_FILE nor I_SAVE_IN_TABLE are set, then the return takes place in the form of packages (that is an internal table), of value I_PACKAGESIZE. A negative value means that the return should be in one package.

Then I decided to use eis/DB/SOADemo for testing.
For JDeveloper project, after I deployed to weblogic server, it works fine.
But for OSB project referencing wsdl, jca and mapping file from JDeveloper project, still got the same error as follows:

Error while creating PDF object

We are using Adobe Interactive Forms with Guided Procedures. Netweaver 7.0 SP14 (Dual stack Java & Abap). All was working well it appears until we configured SSL for ADS - don't know for sure if this caused the problem but it is the only change we can identify around the time that our problems began.
When we attempt to Create an Impersonalized Form we receive the following error -
Cannot retrieve template structure: Execution ended in an unrecognized state
When we attempt to test a callable object associated with an interactive form we receive -
Error while creating PDF object: PDF object could not be created; object returned from ADS is null.
In both cases the entries in the default trace log are the same -
Service XMLFormService: Native process (PID=0) /usr/sap/UFD/DVEBMGS02/j2ee/os_libs/adssap/XMLFormService/bin/XMLForm.exe terminated abnormally with error code 134
PDF object could not be created; object returned from ADS is null

Joe,
If you originally configured ADS without SSL, I would recommend going back through the ADS Configuration Guide for your NetWeaver stack and make sure all the necessary changes for SSL were made. I've seen another case where a step was missed in SSL configuration for ADS which caused a form to error.
If everything looks good based on your SSL configuration, I would recommend creating an OSS Note.

Error while using LabVIEW 8.2.1 Dll from Visual C++ 6.0

I am getting an error while using a LabVIEW 8.2.1 dll from Visual C++ 6.0 application. This is what I am doing:
1) Created a dll using LabVIEW 8.2.1 (I used a tutorial from NI knowledge base: "Creating DLLs from 6.0i". It is a temperature conversion VI; input DegreeF and get DegreeC out). Instead of LabVIEW 6.0i, I used 8.2.1. It created the dll Convert_Temp.dll successfully.
2) Then I created a Visual C++ 6.0 application (used a tutorial from NI knowledge base: "Calling a DLL from Microsoft Visual C++ that was Generated by LabVIEW 6i). I could build the project and create an executable application F_To_C.exe.
3) Then copied the LabVIEW dll Convert_Temp.dll into the folder where F_To_C.exe resides. Using windows explorer, went into that folder, and executed the application. I got the following error:
System Error 998 while loading the LabVIEW run-time engine (C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\8.2\lvrt.dll).
Convert_Temp requires a version 8.2.1 (or compatible) LabVIEW Run-Time Engine. Please contact the vendor of Convert_Temp to correct this problem.
I checked the folder: C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\8.2\. It has the file lvrt.dll.
So why am I getting this error?

ARM approval error after upgrading to SP14: Database error while using the secure store.

Dear GRC experts,
After upgrading GRC 10 to SP14, assigning manual passwords during the approval of a request, the approval process is failing.
Here is the scenario; your advice will be appreciated.
Task: Manually assign passwords to multiple systems contained in the request
Where: On the access request, go to “User System Details” tab
Issue: After approving/submitting the request, the error “Database error while using the secure store” is generated
Logs: Nothing on transactions SLG1 or ST22; however ST11 shows the error attached below:

Other scenarios executed as a workaround, and passed the password assignment this time:
The approval will work if only one password is assigned to any of the given systems. The rest of the systems get an auto-generated
password.
ARM also accepts multiple passwords when the requestor assigns passwords on the “User System Details” prior submitting a
request. The GRC admin can approve once reached for system approval.
AS FYI, “Confirm Password” is only required when creating the request but not on any other stage.

Inconsistent FOTY0001: type error while using translateFromNative

I am getting FOTY0001: type error while using translateFromNative function in assign activity.
This error happens only in the below scenarios:
1. Create a BPEL process with file input adapter that accepts simple xml string as input and accepts files like input*.txt.
2. Create a simple XSD(Fixed Length native XSD) and convert the simple string to XML using translateFromNative function and copy it into a variable.
3. Switch off the process
4. Put atleast 10 input*.txt files in the folder and switch on the process.
This error doesn't happen when I put one file at time.. Even when I put multiple files, the error happens for few instances inconsitently.

I used assign activity just because I have only one source and target element.
This error happens even with transform activity.
Also, all the input messages are same. So It is definitely not the issue with the input message.
One observation I did is:
The error doesn't occur when I use like below(Full Http url):

Error while Opening PDF attachment from Mail

Hi,
We two Output Types created ZNEU and ZAUF. Two Smartforms are created for the same Output Types. The Issue now is, When ZNEU triggers and send a mail the document is properly decoded and gets opened but for ZAUF it doesn't. It says File damaged.
