Error WIS 30270 in BO 4.0

Hi
I'm testing BOE 4,0 SP1 Path3 in 2 new Windows 2008 64 Bits with 4 and 8 Gigas. When I create a new document WEBI (Interactive Analysis) or I open a old document (import of 3.1). It appears error WIS 30270 (The user is Administrator).
Somebody can help me?

In my previous case I installed in directory "Program Files X86", Then, i used 32 bits drivers. I have returned to install in directory PPPSS the DRIVERSS of the ODBC are 64 bits. Now, I install BO4 in directory "Program Files". The drivers of the ODBC are 64 bits, but, the continuous error.
It could be a JAVA error?

ProcessDPCommands Error WIS 30270 for BW key figures

Hello,
we created a BO universe on top of a BW 3.5 query. In Webi, when we try to report on the universe we are getting this error "an internal error occured while calling the 'processDPcommands' API (Error: 30270)". We are using XI R3 version of BO. We only get this error when we try to pull in key figures into the report. All the characteristics works fine. We are trying to report from the FI cube in BW (0CCA_C03).
Any help will be appreciated.

Do we need to pull consistent detail objects of all the13 levels in the hierarchy to the WebI query ?
For Example, I have pulled all 13 level dimension objects (Blue), Org unit Key (Detail Green Object) for only L03,L04 and Org Unit Medium Name (Detail Green Object) for L08,L09.
Do I need to pull all 13 dimension (Blue Object), all 13 Org Unit Key and all 13 Org Unit Medium Name? I mean do we need to select consistent detail objects consistent across the levels?

WebI Report causing WIS 30270 error on UNX universe

Hi All,
Need some expertise on a really weird error I am facing. I have a dashboard designed on a UNX universe, and a connecting URL that opens a WebI report that is also designed on the same universe. The dashboard is working fine for all the users but when the users open the WebI report, they face the WIS 30270 error which has a bunch of discussions but nothing related to the weirdness I have here.
As an administrator, I don't see the issue at all. Some general users have the issues but intermittently though. So I believe the servers are not the cause. Then I investigated access levels but users within the same user group have seen the error while others haven't encountered it at all.
The WebI reports that have been designed on BEx queries are all working fine with no issues. Please advise and help me figuring out the issue and resolving it.
Current version of BOE: 4.0 SP6 P3
BW: 7.3
Universe designed on SQL Server

I had a simular problem once, universe worked on Explorer, Dashboards but not on the WebI side.
The problem was, I used the "MOVE" option inside CMC, and moved the universe to a diferent folder. And for some reason something inside the universe still pointed to the old location, and only webi was not able to find it, I mean, it was able to find it, but not apply the correct permisions, and it would fail when I tried to refresh the report.
Can you create a new universe and test?
Or open the current one and save it with a differente name on another folder?
If that isn't it, are you using SSO on that universe?

Error WIS 10901 while executing report in Webi

Hi,
I am getting an error WIS 10901 when I am trying to run a query in Webi.
In that query in BW side I have restricted with Char variable with manual entry. After that I have saved that and created a universe based on that. In Universe also its showing that Variable is there and I have changed the properties by checking the box of "delegate search". After that I have saved and exported the universe.
In Infoview I have opened that universe and created a report when I am trying to run that query its asking for values for promt. After giving the value its throwing a error saying that " Database error WIS 10901".
I have checked in SM59 for MDX its working fine.
Can anyone please let me know the answer ASAP.

Some objects are no longer available in the universe.(Error: WIS 00001)

We are in the process of upgrading BOXI R2 to R3.1 SP3. Setup, configuration of BOXI R3 on new machine is done. And migrated the reports, universes, users, groups and all repository objects with Import Wizard. everything seems good except few Webi reports pointing to wrong universes and getting the below error message.
"Some objects are no longer available in the universe. See your Business Objects administrator. (Error: WIS 00001)"
1) I deleted the particular report from destination and re imported it but still same issue.
2) deleted the file from Input file store and re imported it still same error I'm getting.
Gurus, Please help me..

if the issues is with one or two reports i would've tried manually editing each report, but here we've this issue with 20+ reports so far..
Just pointing it to right universe won't work, I've to add the missing objects as well. So Its like developing new report.

You need to create ODBC for SQL server.Check your BO server is able to connect SQL Server.

I have some problem about QaaWS.
When I create and build my query then click next to run query it appear error
Get data provider warning
getDocumentInformation exception (Error: WIS 10901)
A database error occured. The database error text is: (CS) "Specified RDBMS is invalid" . (WIS 10901)
But when I query in Web Intelligence Rich Client it work normally.
When I enter url http://<hostname>:8080/dswsbobje/services/Session
I got message.
"Please enable REST support in WEB-INF/conf/axis2.xml and WEB-INF/web.xml"
Please give me some suggestion

Webi Error WIS 10901 Error: INF

Hi,
I am running a Query via prompt where in user can select the vendors from the list , if they choose number of vendors less than 1000, then it will run without error. If user will select all the vendors which is around 1537 , user will get this error. Is there any limitation on the prompt in regards to number of selection . Is there any setting in CMC which can increase the threshold to more than 1000
Following Error I am getting:
Database Error:ORA-01795 Maximum number of expression in a list is 1000. Contact your business object Administrator or database supplier for more information. (Error: WIS 10901) (Error:INF)

yes - there is a Limitation with 1000.
Maybe this is a workaround:
Create two DB Fields on your DB. The First with all Customer # till 1000 and a second with all Customer # above 1000

We are working with Business Objects EDGE series XI 3.0 and SAP BW 3.5. We work over Financial Infocubes. Our problem appears when we try to refresh a Profit & (Loss) (CO-PA Query) with more than two periods of time. If we work with one or two periods everything works perfect.
The error:

could you provide the details on the elements that you included into the query panel for the Web Intelligence report and which items are being used in the report ?
Can you execute a BI query that looks the same meaning that all elements from the web Intelligence query panel need to be in the rows or columns.

When we examined the similar errors in SDN, we generally see that remove the unused measures, dimensions and check your filters. When we have removed the unused measures(number of unused measures are not too much, maybe max 5) we don't get this error. But we are sure our data will grow and if this problem is a memory problem based on BO, or BW(we dont know) we will get this error again and there will not be any chance to remove unused objects.
We have run the report on BW via RSRT t-code and we don't get error. Meanwhile, the result of says that max 65535 rows displayed. Also, when we run the bex report via bex analyzer, we see that the dialog user's process is finalizing without any problem but excel gives an internal error during the show results.
Our BW server's release is 701 and level of package is 7. And our BO server is 3.1 and sp1.

Take a look at the Web Intelligence query panel and make sure that all objects that you have in the web Intelligence query panel are in the rows for your BW query BEFORE running the query in transaction RSRT >> then you comparing the right things.
In addition you might want to look at the feature "Query stripping" which is part of SP3 with Web Inteligence.

Database Error: (Error : WIS 10109)

Hello,
i get following error message when i want to have a look at the preview of a webservice in QaaWS with an user which has only the rights for the query which is used to build the universe on BO side::
getDocumentInformation exception (Error : WIS 10109)
A database error occured. The database error test is: Dimension [OCALDAY] could not be loaded from Infocube, to which was refered to from Variable 2.
(WIS 10109).
This does not happen when i take a user which has SAP ALL.
When i open the query in SAP BW with the restricted user i can see the data.
Does BO has a problem with variables? Or is there a permission problem?

Hello Ingo,
when i change the authentication type into secSAPR3 i get the same error message when using the restricted SAP user.
The point why we use "consumer defined" is to get the input parameter to us it in Xcelsius.
We want to integrate a dashboard into a portal and want to use SSO. When having the input parameter for login, password and the authentication type, and we insert secSAPR3 as authentication type and use Flash Variables as connection for the login and the password we don´t get the user identification screen from BO.
When using the User which has SAP ALL it works. We get data in the Dashboard without getting the user identification screen.
I think it must be a permission problem on BO side, but i´m not really sure.
Perhaps our try isn´t possible at all.

Universe not Found ... (Error: WIS 00501)

Hi experts
At a certain point in time, a pretty complex WebI report lost its connection to the universe... I got following error message:
Universe not found. See your Business Objects administrator. (Error: WIS 00501)
What can I do to fix this. Other reports on that Universe seem to run fine... Only one report fails. Funny that also all other versions of that report seem to have te same problem... (I kept all versions between blanco and the actual report during development) This is the second time I have this issue, last time I rebuilt the whole report...
Any ideas ?

Well, I do not think there is a specific document, but if you read Admin guide, upgrade guides/import wizard guides you'll see that the product relies heavily on CUID persistance. Once object is created and linked to other objects, like universe and its reports - those CUID's have to stay the same for product to work correctly.
CUID changes if you copy object , then delete original
if you delete original and create new one with same name.
If you save universe without security(for all users) and then export it back into enterprise...
So you have to create process during your development that ensures CUID of universes stays the same.

Error: WIS 30256, Permissions Problem

Running BO XI R2 SP4.
Prior to installing service pack 4, this problem never happened. Just recently, whenever a user attempts to edit the SQL of a query it gives the Error WIS 30256. After looking into this error, it claims that it's caused by the administrator disabling the permission to "View SQL". After getting complaints from a few users, I checked their permissions, only to find that they did have the rights. Afterwards, I tried the same thing. Even with all the permissions the system has to offer, I received the same error. Any ideas about both why this happened, and how to fix this?

Check if the rights are either 'Denied' OR 'Undefined' on following: -
1) Specific folder - in that case all the reports kept insude this folder would be effected.
2) User Group - in this case all the users in this group will receive this error.
3) Specific user(s) - in this case only these users will receive this error.
4) Specific report(s) - in this case all the users will receive this error while accessing SQL for this report(s).

could you please test the following settings to resolve the issue.
1. CORBA
-requestTimeout
This is the default CORBA timeout which can be set on any BOE services through command lines in CCM. And this switch is in millisecond.
Registry CORBA Timeout
This is a default hard coded 10 mins timeout for CORBA. WebI and DeskI did get integrated into this regkey:
(1) Go to HEKY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Business Objects -> Suite 11.5 -> CER.
(2) Modify ConnectionTomeout from 600000 to higher value.
(3) Restart all services in CCM.
2. Infoview Java Application (For example, Tomcat) Session Timeout If a user idles in Infoview for longer than this timeout, the session will be killed automatically. The default session timeout is 20 mins. To change the default session time out for InfoView:
(1) Go to u201Cu2026\Tomcat\webapps\businessobjects\enterprise115\desktoplaunch\WEB-INF\web.xmlu201D
(2) Modify web.xml. Scroll to the following section:
<session-config>
<session-timeout>20</session-timeout>
</session-config>
(3) Edit the <session-timeout> value to the desired value. Save the web.xml file.
(4) Restart Tomcat.
If you meet their sessions are not getting released when they log out, here are two things to check in web.xml:
(1) If the below configuration was set by true, that means they will have another session allocated to them once they begin to move around in Infoview after the user times out. If it was
set by false, the user have to re-logon after they times out.

The default value is 20000 milliseconds. To disable it, try to set the value to -1 as below:

(3) Modify connectiontomeout = u201C20000u201D to ConnectionTimeout = u201C-1u201D.
4. Universes
Execution Timeout
(1) Go to Universe Designer -> File -> Parameters -> Controls.
(2) Check the value of u201CLimit execution time tou201D.
5. WebI
Connection Timeout
The number of minutes before an idle connection to the WebI Report Server will be closed. When Java Report Panel, it is now controlled by this timeout switch:
(1) Log into CMC
(2) Go to Servers -> WebI Report Server
(3) Set Connection Timeout
WebI Report Timeout
WebI designers have the ability to set a limit on how long a query can be run on a database before the query is stopped:
(1) Edit/Create a new WebI report using Java Report Panel.
(2) Choose Edit Query -> Properties.
(3) Now deselect/increase the "max retrieval time" value.
Swap Timeout
In Java Report Panel and you leave it idle for more than 5 minutes (Default), you will notice that you will no longer be able to save your WebI report into CMS or your report will take longer
to generate. This is because SwapTimeOut setting which controls the flushing interval of WebI temp files:
(1) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\default\WebIntelligence\Server\Admin\SwapTimeOut

Webi and BW Hierarchy-Promts Error WIS 10901

Hi together,
I'm using Webi in Combination with a SAP BW Query. BO is 3.1 with FP 2.9, on SAP-site it's SP07.
I've got an infoobject with a hierarchy. In the Query I've got a hierarchy-variable on this hierarchy.
The variable is optional.
Using Bex-Analyzer I can use the variable to select nodes from the hierarchy and it works fine.
I've got a universe on the Query and want to create a Webi on this universe.
When prompting the variable in webi and trying to refresh the LOV I get an Error WIS 10901.
Has anyone an idea how to solve this problem?
