Error with sockets - Service Designer
Hi,
I'm testing my application in two computers, both with the same Linux, Oracle Database, and Portal-to-Go version. In the first one I have no problems. It works fine. But in the second one I receive this error message:
Sorry! This service cannot be invoked
Exception text for diagnostics: oracle.Panama.PanamaException: no more data to read from socket.
Has anyone else encountered this failure?
Thanks.
Hi Syed
We have almost the same situation with the wad and his performance. And sap response suggest that we have to install the Bw700SP14P_1403-10001615.EXE
Try this
hope this helps !
Natalia.

Error with web service SRT: Unexpected failure in SOAP processing occurred:
Hello,
I get the following error with a web service
"SRT: Unexpected failure in SOAP processing occurred: ("No configuration for this HTTP server instance")"
Any ideas on how to solve this ?
Thanks.
Regards, MichelHi,
I think the WSDL file shared with you and the soap message you are getting are a mismatch.
Try to check the soap message xml format and see if matches the ouputs tags structure in WSDL file.
Thanks & Rgds,

SSIS Web Service Task Error with WCF Service
I have read all the other posts on this site and have not been able to resolve my issue.
For testing purposes i created a very simple WCF service that takes no arguments and returns true. That is all it does.
When i create a winform client and instantiate the service i can run my service method and get true back so i know the service works.
I then create a test SSIS package with 1 task, a web service task.
I set the web service tasks properties as follows:
http connection: http://localhost/WCF_SSIS_Prototype/Service1.svc
wsdl file: C:\...\SSIS_WCF_Prototype\Service1.wsdl (I know this is not a valid path, i changed it for posting to forum)
Service: Service1
Method: GetData
Variable: User::BResult
When i run the package i get the following error:
[Web Service Task] Error: An error occurred with the following error message: "Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Tasks.WebServiceTask.WebserviceTaskException: Could not execute the Web method. The error is: Method 'ProxyNamespace.Service1.GetData' not found.. at Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Tasks.WebServiceTask.WebMethodInvokerProxy.InvokeMethod(DTSWebMethodInfo methodInfo, String serviceName, Object connection) at Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Tasks.WebServiceTask.WebServiceTaskUtil.Invoke(DTSWebMethodInfo methodInfo, String serviceName, Object connection) at Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Tasks.WebServiceTask.WebServiceTask.executeThread()".
I'm not sure why it is saying "Method 'ProxyNamespace.Service1.GetData' not found. It the web service task trying to create a proxy class and naming the proxy class namespace ProxyNamespace?
Any help is greatly appreciated.Hi,
How do you get around the same issue if your string type is based on a client token ? I downloaded the .wsdl file, was able to see the service name, method and when selecting a method type, I am required to provide a client token which was given
to me. (Name column = clienttoken, Type = string, Value = 2227656 - ec8922 (client token numbers goes there)? I am new to use ssis and need your help please

Logical error with Sockets, not closing properly
Hi again everybody, I am still in need of help it seems. I have been working on a way to transfer files from computer a to computer b but I cannot get the Sockets/Streams to work properly!
The problem I keep getting is "IOException: java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: socket write error"
According to some threads in this forum its either because of a firewall blocking or because of an error such as the client trying to write to a stream that is closed in the other end ( or something like that, I cannot remember 100%).
The thing is: I am only getting this the second time I try to send the file, the first time it works just fine.
I can solve the problem by restarting the server (resetting the socket) after every time I send the file but that is not a solution, but merely a confirmation that I indeed have a bug.
Can you please have a look at my code and point out where I missed something? I have been staring blindly at the code on and off for over a day now.

Follow-up question, need more information to solve the problem:
My server now uses a ObjectOutputStream to send packets to the client, which successfully reads them BUT:
the problem still remains! I am still getting a "SocketException socket write error" the second time I use the sender!
Right now this is what the send-method in FileSender looks like.
(Look at "// Connection Loop" for the biggest change.)

Infopath 2007 and SharePoint 2007 error with Web Service Submit and Recieve
I have an InfoPath form with code. The code submits the form to SharePoint and to SQL DB through Web Service. The form has some workflow. When form is in a "New" state if submits to SharePoint and Database through custom web service. Works fine
from both Client and SharePoint browser form. The database ID is returned to the form and then stored in a field. In second stage of workflow additional fields are shown for Supervisor to fill out. I then have an "update" web service to update the
database. I set all the field values in the Web service then execute both the update Web Service and the SharePoint submit. I get an error (both if running from desktop or SharePoint) Error is
"The string '' is not a valid AllXsd value"
I know sometimes this happens with dates. But I've got all the dates set. The funny thing is in the first submit there are 2 dates in the second submit there is one date. All are set the same and on the first submit no problem submits correct dates to SQL
database through web Service. Second submit has 2 Boolean fields that I also default to a value of false. I've debugged and looked at all the values and everything has a value. I use delete NIL to make sure value in Web Service is set. I can save the data
in the form but not submit it because I get the web service error. If I save the data in form and download it and copy all the values in the XML to my Web Service and invoke the web service works fine. So there is no error in the web service. The first
submit submits both dates and some integer values. The only difference in second is the Boolean value but it is set to default of false for all checkboxes. I'm going out of mind trying to see what could be wrong. Also difference with second
is it sends in the ID of the record that was set in form by result of first submit query sending back the DB value. That value is an integer but I also set correctly.
Susan J. SwangerHi Somatco,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you ran report with xml type datasource.
Please set the xml datasource credential to Use Windows Authentication (integrated security). More information, please refer to the link:

3)on start of powershell window
Then i tried to install March PU 2013 and August CU 2013 and ran config wizard and it keeps failing with the same above error.
Any clue will be apreciated. I checked few other similar post but their solution is not working for me.
Please mark as helpful if it is really helpfulHi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to solve this error when you opened the SharePoint Management Shell.
This error message probably appears in the SharePoint Management Shell when it is opened, if you previously have installed Foundation SP1 on Server.
I recommend that you can follow the steps to check and solve this issue.
1. Navigate to Log folder and check whether any helpful logs are there or not.
The default location for the log files is in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOG.
2. Restart timer jobs which are related to the Workflow and check event viewer see whether it helps.
3. I suggest that you can apply the correct SP1 to the farm, restart the system and
run as administrator on the SharePoint 2013 Products Configuration Wizard one more time.

Error with web services connection to B1 DI API
We are attempting to utilize the web services connection to SAP Business One and are running into difficulty. Below are the particulars:
- We are attempting to make a web services connection to B1 using PHP on Linux.
- We are able to establish a session, but not able to make a successful web services request.
- The attempted action is to add a Business Partner
- Error we are receiving:
SoapFault exception: Not Found in /var/www/test.php:83 Stack trace: #0 : SoapClient->__doRequest('__call('Add', Array) #2 /var/www/test.php(83): SoapClient->Add(Array) #3
- We are also able make a successful web services request to the same B1 server using ASP from Windows.
- Once we establish a session through PHP / Linux, the DI Server will not respond to either PHP or ASP on Windows
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.Russell,
Since you are getting a "SoapFault Exception", you must be trying to use SOAP messaging. The DI API does not understand SOAP messages. You would need to use the DI Server (SDK Help has information on DI Server) for SOAP based messaging and in turn you may also want to look at the Business One Web Services (B1WS) tool that s located in the Tools section of the SAP Business One main page here on SDN.

Itunes 8 install - getting error with 'Bonjour Service'
when trying to install I get the error...
"Service 'Bonjour service' (Bonjour Service) failed to start. verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."
No I have gone into the admin and set it to restart, and apply, but still ITunes is having an issue.
It will not complete the setup and yet I cannot install the software. Seems like there is a glitch in the system. Any suggestions?
BonkCheck your firewall settings if you have one. Zone Alarm had blocked all Bonjour access to the internet. I enabled it and it works OK now.

Error in Service designer with sample adapter
Hi all,
I try to use SampleAdapter. When I create a master service based on Sample Adapter (wich is correctly in the classptah on the server). I received the following message : The Master Service does not have an adapter definition.
I ignore it and I create an alias for this Master service. I test it in request manager and the service created with the sample adapter work ??
What can I do to supress error message in Service Designer ?
ThanksVasanthakumar,
in my previous experiences with internal/external parties communication, I've found out that the best practice is to create an integration scenario and then create the configuration scenario from scenario wizard. It is much simpler and easier.
Briefly, you'll have to create a dummy party/service in order to "wrap" your internal system, since the external party should not receive information regarding internal systems (Business system name, for example).

Service request error with TDS3034B Scope
Hello,
I am getting an error with a service request when initializing my oscilloscope. When I use the VISA Discard Events vi, there is an error 1073676292 that says
VISA: (Hex 0x3FFF0004) Operation completed successfully, but queue was already empty.
However, immediately after, I use VISA Enable Event and get an error 1073676290 that says
VISA: (Hex 0x3FFF0002) Specified event is already enabled for at least one of the specified mechanisms.
Both Discard and Enable Events are Service Request, so I am unsure why it would read that there is an empty queue, and then afterwards read that the Service Request is already enabled.
Thank you for any help you may be able to give on the subject.Hello,
Has the event already been enabled before this? I believe it will stay enabled until the VISA Disable Event VI is called, and not the VISA Discard Events VI.

I do not think I missed anything installing NW CE 7.1, but this error makes me think that some plug-in was erroneously left out of the install.

Please check the error log for further informations.
Again, this looks like I am missing some components.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
TBFurther developments: As you may note from the error message, DS is looking for com.sap.ide.metamodel.core.services.eclipse in both the C: and the E: drive at the same time. In fact, this file exists in the E: drive subdirectory listed, so I obviously have an error with two drive designations being concatenated. Does anyone know how I can change the lookup directory for this dependency (or any dependency)?
Thanks,

Errors when compiling the web service (SAP Web Service Design Tool)
After downloading and installing the SAP de Web Service Design Tool (for Crystal Reports Server) I created a connection, a simple query and was able to deploy a web services. I tested the web service with an Xcelsius dashboard within InfoView. Thereafter I created a second connection (other name but same ODBC connection / server) and created another simple query with two date(range) parameters and a group by year and month function in order to do a select count(). It executes fine, but when I try to publish the web service I get an error.
There are errors when compiling the web service.
Is does not say whatu2019s wrong or how I can solve this problem.
Who can help me?
Some notes:
1) Within expert mode I used a MONTH() SQL function which does not show in the normal mode.
2) It seams that the u2018administrationu2019 of Web Service Design Tool got u2018corruptedu2019 after only creating the two connections, queries and services mentioned above. I believe so because I could select one of two queries when I created the second service, but within the current connection I had only one query.
Thanks for any help,
Ron
ADDITIONAL INFO: The parameters seam to be the problem. After removing the parameters I can publish the service. But without parameters it is NO SOLOTION.
Edited by: RonKoudijs on Aug 26, 2010 6:28 PMHello Taylan,
I think the error that you received was due to packaging issues.I placed the
UtilClass.java file under a directory called data which was present under
the project directory.
When you want to access a java class, you can either place the compiled
class file in the WEB-INF/classes folder or you can place the java file
under the project directory.
I have attached the sample project that I created with your files.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Data Services Designer Issue with Job Server
I am on Business Objects Edge Pro using the Data Services Designer. When I try execute a job I get "The job server you have selected is not working." In addition to that when I try to make any personal change to the environment I get a BODI-1260016 error. Finally when you go to the help and about they show both the Job Engine and Job Server not responding.
I have opened up my CMC and it shows all servers enabled and functioning. I do not know where to go from here.
Thanks
CassidyVoila. I know I am a bit late to the conversation, but here was my solution. I was running Designer on my local machine. We also have Designer on the server. So I decided to remote to the server and compare settings. When the server desktop came up, good old Windows was there, announcing that BODS had changed since the last time it was run, and would I like to allow it to run (Y/N/Cancel)? Thanks, Windows. I said Yes, then went back to my local workstation, tried again to run a job, and no problem.
This has happened with other software services (scripted ftp for example) that run on servers. Seems it can happen after a Microsoft Tuesday, or after software is upgraded. Always remember to log on to the server and clear any security dialogs that are preventing your service from running. Not really a BO solution, but it was my solution. YMMV.
