Hi,
Common cause for this error anyone of the following:
The Application made reference to another Application that contained one schema with same namespace#rootnode name
The Application as different resources (dll) that contained more than one schema with same namespace#rootnode name
Schema defined by namespace#rootnode does not exist (not my case, because it was deployed)
You have XML-Tramit pipeline in the send port so the XML assembler would try to recognize the schema which it tries to send, but while doing so it can't load/find the schema. Anyone of the above could cause this issue. I doubt more towards, 2nd point
where you may have more than one schema with namespace#rootnode name or it could any of the above reasons..check the sachems deployed.

Hello, sorry I do not speak very good English. I have a problem post, when I launch the iPhone Configuration Utility, I get the following error: "Exception has been thrown by the type of initializer for 'Com.Apple.IPCU.ManagedMobileDevice . MobileDevice '. Does a person have a solution. Thank you

I don't have a specific resolution but I have written many synch plugins and I don't recall seeing this error before.
So your synch plugin is for items ... if there are no items in the queue that explains why you don't see any errors. As soon as you add an item you get errors in 2 places ... that's probabaly because synch plugins and be configured to run "before" or "after" the WebTools synch so the core synch needs to load the dll and see when it's supposed to call it.
Since you get this error in 2 places, I don't think it's related to your specific code (especially since you used the tester app).
My guess is it's related to security/permissions.
Try this, right click the dll in the plugins folder and select properties and see if there's a button at the bottom to "UnBlock" the file.
If you don't see the button, try re-assigning the parent folder permissions. Right click the plugins folder, select Properties / Security / Advanced. Click checkbox for "Replace permission entries on all child objects ...." and click OK.
Do you have your own dll for DataAccess (or anything else) that your plugin needs? In the past I've had to copy this dll to the SynchManger folder instead of into the plugins folder with the synch plugin dll.

  • App Error 602 & "Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(144) is not responding; process terminated"

    Hi,
I have spent a whole and very frustrating day trying to solve the following problem and in exasperation I resort to a posting here. Note no changes had been made to the phone prior to the start of the problem.
My Blackberry 9800 Torch freezes on power-up. It can only be ‘unfrozen’ by taking out the battery or, if left alone, after many minutes it comes up with the white screen, ‘App Error 602' and ‘Reset’ which is highlighted. Resetting has the same effect as taking out the battery. After each restart, it goes through the usual security and time checks and then freezes again. However, on rare occasions I got the message “Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(144) is not responding; process terminated”.
Soon after the restart, after the Security Software Verification and on confirming the time/date, there is a very small window of opportunity (literally a couple of seconds) to access the phone. After much trial and error, I discovered that (in Manage Connections) by disabling the Mobile Network and WiFi - effectively putting it into ‘aeroplane mode’ - the device would work, without any problem and indefinitely. Except, of course, I couldn’t access the phone network nor the internet, which isn’t helpful(!).
I have taken this opportunity to do a full back-up on to my PC, through BlackBerry Desktop Software (though I’m not sure this backs up downloaded Apps??). Separately, I've also copied all the subdirectories from the phone’s memory and media card on to the PC, retaining their correct structures (but presumably also copying the corruption causing the problem?).
    Any ideas???
    - thanks in advance!

The method you are attempting is the automatic method...sometimes it just doesn't work, and you must take control. The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
    1) Make sure you have a current and complete backup of your BB...you can find complete instructions via the link in my auto-sig below.
    2) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
    3) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed
    http://us.blackberry.com/software/desktop.html
    4) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
It is sorted first by carrier -- so if all you want are the OS levels your carrier supports, your search will be quick. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To truly seek out the most up-to-date OS package for your BB, you must dig through and find all carriers that support your specific model BB, and then compare the OS levels that they support.
    5) Delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
6a) For changing your installed BB OS level (upgrade or downgrade), you can launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC.
6b) Or, for reloading your currently installed BB OS level as well as for changing it, bypass the Desktop Software and use LOADER.EXE directly, by proceeding to step 2 in this process:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC.
If, during the processes of 6a or 6b, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

There are no specific  Knowledge Base regarding the error Uncaught exception : index 87 >= 87 or similar, As you had already wiped or deleted all applications from your device but still error appearing so to rule out any software issue you can reload your Device OS ,but first do your device backup using BlackBerry Desktop Software,For further instruction please refer to this Knowledge Base :

  • Uncaught exception error when entering in "Messages"

I have a client that uses a Blackberry World Edition (8830) and when he tries to go into Messages (by selecting the Messages icon) he gets this error message all the time: Uncaught Exception:java.lang.null.pointer
I tried 2 kind of resets, alt+caps+del and tried removing the battery while the BB is on and same thing, I did a hard reset, which is wipe the BB and client left me a message this morning that he still gets the same error message.
From my BES console (we synchronise with Domino servers on a Lotus Notes plattform) I see that he has the
    platform version 3.0.0.81
    Blackberry version: 4.2.2.196
His blackberry ues a Bell Mobility service.
Right now, the only other thing I can think of is to download the OS and reload it on the BB using Desktop Manager.
Can anyone help me with this please.  I appreciate all the help.

    * Update -- my client activated his blackberry with the BES this morning and sent me a message that, after the activation, the problem seems to be resolved.  Now, is there anything different that can be done in case  this happens again, we have over 800 blackberry users and most of them have the 8830 model.

    Hi,
Your troubleshooting actions were right on the money, as far as I can see.
HRT is the Host Routing Tables. It is entries sent from the Carrier.
When you highlight the above entry and hit register now, it registers it with the wireless network. Updates the device details onto the rim relay and sends down carrier specific icons or applicants
I believe the problem existed in a corrupt application on the users smartphone, by registering the phone, the application
was refreshed. This is the first time I have seen that particular exception message get resolved without a device
reload. (Just for reference I have read 133150 posts.)

  • Uncaught exception on a 2hr+ surround sound export

    Hi,
I've just encountered an error message for the first time exporting a surround sound AIFF. "Uncaught exception" has been popping up repeatedly during the export of a 2hr 26 min soundtrack that's taking 45 minutes to process, annoying 6 mins from the end of processing. Accepting the dialogue, Soundtrack promptly quits/crashes. I've tried all the preference/cache/etc removal. Also have 36GB of disc space.
Interestingly, I did two tests of 20 min exports from the front and end of the project (where I assume the error message was being generated) and these short exports worked fine.
Is there a time limit on multitrack exports from Soundtrack Pro (Max 2hrs?)

I understand your frustration. But to be clear, Mark, this is not a limitation of STP. It is a limitation of all aif files, so it wouldn't matter what program you were trying to create the file in, you would still get some kind of error. No DAW manual I've ever seen, including that of ProTools and Digital Performer, has mentioned this limitation that I know of.
Hope things are working out for you now!
    - Matt

  • Uncaught exceptions driving me CRAZY!

I keep getting uncaught exception errors that lock my phone up.  I've tried restarting and taking the battery out, both of which eventually work for a while, but then I start to get the error messages again.  The latest - "Uncaught Exception Application net_rim_bb_facebook (464) is not responding; process terminated."  Any suggestions on what to do?

    Hi
This what I did to completely wipe my BB. I wrote this before starting and printed it off.
If your device is functioning, perform a backup now if you haven't already done so saving the file to a place and in a name that you can easily locate on computer.
I then uninstalled DTM and then deleted all other references to BB/Rim in Windows Explorer thus removing the OS for the BB from the computer in order to ensure that the version I would reinstall would be a brand new downloaded version.
Get the latest Desk Top Software (DTS)
    http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/?CPID=OTC-DSKTPSW&cp=OTC-DSKTPSW
and install it on the computer.
Get the correct latest version of the OS
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    and save it to computer.
To erase all the data on your BlackBerry device, complete the following steps.
    1) Download JL_Cmder from http://www.4shared.com/get/oqP9V-2Q/JL_Cmder_v19.html
    2) Install JL_Cmder to computer.
    3) Double check you have already backed-up the BB. If you DO NOT, you will lose ALL data.
    4) Make sure the DTS is closed and plug in the BB to computer via USB
    5) Go to the JL_Cmder on your computer and double click it to start. Now,this may take a few tries to connect, so keep trying until it does.
    6) On the first screen, Press any key to continue.
    7) Now, if your device uses a password, enter it now. If not, press "N"
    8) Press 4 to initiate the WIPE
    9) Press "Y" to continue
    10) Now type "blackberry" to continue
    11) On the BB you will see a white screen with a'507' Error. Don't worry, this is what you want! You are now ready to install the OS.
Launch the new Desk Top Software on the computer
1). On the home screen of the BlackBerry® Desktop Software, click Device > Update my device.
2). Click View Other Versions. Click the version of the new OS you previously downloaded.
3). Click Install. The DTM will install the OS and then provide you with a list of applications to install. If you have had difficulties with an app, do not install it.
Do not disconnect the device until the whole process is completed and the device has rebooted.
After 10 minutes reboot again by removing the battery whilst powered-on and leave it out for a couple of minutes.
Leave it again for 10 minutes. You should now have a fully functioning BB!

  • Uncaught exceptions...what does this mean?

I have tried searching for information about these messages displaying on my phone but have found nothing regarding them...
My phone has been randomly restarting itself and displaying "uncaught exception 4 >= 4".  What does this mean and how do I fix it?  Also, not my phone is now recording/updating my call log.  When I try to delete the records "uncaught exception 3>= 3" appears.  Again, what does this mean and how do I fix it?
I have version 4.6.1.231 (platform 4.2.0.108) for the 8900 Curve.  My computer is also a Mac..don't know if that matters.
Can anyone help?  I would greatly appreciate it!   I've only had this phone since the beginning of August.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Uncaught Exceptions are basically the equivalent of a random error in Windows -- oh wait, you are on a MAC...
In essence, something has happened on the device for which there is nothing in the program code to handle. So the "last out" is what these are. There is nothing really you can directly do to correct (or diagnose, for that matter) them. But there are some things to try:
    1) Hard Reboot:
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
These are good as they reload the device OS fresh, just like rebooting a computer -- a healthy thing that clears up any corruption that has been introduced during operation.
    2) Device OS update. If there is some known (not to us, but to RIM) bug, it may have been fixed in a later device OS level. Check your carriers download page via this portal to see if there is an update:
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
Beyond that, there's not much to do except for perhaps figuring out if perhaps it's one of your add-on apps that is causal...and a slow and systematic process is recommended of removing an app, waiting a while (I always recommend a week), then removing another (if the first try failed), and repeating until the errors stop -- at which point you may have found the culprit.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Uncaught Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException

    Hi,
My BB 8220 flip has always had battery problems. Lately the battery dies after only 8 hours in standby mode. The last time it died was two days ago, and after four hours of charging it finally turned back on - only to have the error 'Uncaught Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException' showing on the screen.  I have noticed that now the Call Log does not work for Incoming, Outgoing and Missed calls.  The SMS has also mysteriously disappeared so I am unable to send and receive texts.  My address book is still intact.  I don't have a data plan so I do not have any extra applications on the phone, simply what it came with.  I have tried to reboot (removing battery) a few times, but the error has not fixed itself.
Any simple ways to fix this error, or is my phone beyond repair?

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Given your description, I advise an OS reload or upgrade. From a PC, you can install any OS package to a BB via this procedure:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload", it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC. You can even use a different carriers OS package by simply inserting, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, of a file named VENDOR.XML. Be sure that you remove, from your PC, any other BB device OS packages as having more than one installed to the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

  • Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException error after connecting to BlackberryPlaybook

    Hi,
I know that there are many other threads about this error but they're all to do with bbm.
I have this error with my web browser, whenever I press the button for options, everything in the browser freezes. If I hold down the options button my multi task bar DOES pop up, but my browser is still frozen and if I leave and return the error ( Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException ) pops up.
I noticed this started happening after I began using bridge and tethering with my playbook.
The first time it happened I rebooted my phone and it DID work but I can't keep rebooting my phone for this, can I?
My phone is now almost two years old (come this December) somebody please help? I don't want to send it in for repairs.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!!
There's pretty much no diagnosing those -- they are the equivalent of the random errors in Windows for which tracing the root cause is fruitless. Basically, these are the last out in the programming code -- some event occurred for which there is no handler in the code. The fix is a code update that handles the event...but, again, knowing what the event is is pretty much impossible. So, there are a few things to try:
Sometimes, the code simply becomes corrupt and needs to be refreshed -- just like a reboot:
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
If it won't boot up cleanly, then you may need to try Safe Mode:
KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in safe mode
There might be an updated code set from the carrier -- check them via this portal:
     http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
The toughest possible cause is a badly behaving app. To find it, there are a couple of options. One is to see if you can read the log file:
Go to the home screen. Hold down the "alt" key and type 'lglg'. (You will not see anything while you type). This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably many pages) untill you see a line that says 'uncaught execption'. Click on this line. The name of the app will be in the info. Alternative methods for bringing up the logs are in this KB:
KB05349How to enable, access, and extract the event logs on a BlackBerry smartphone
The other method is to remove apps one at a time, waiting a while in between (I usually recommend a week), until the problem ceases...thereby discovering the offending app. Still another method is to reload the BB OS cleanly, leaving some time between adding other apps onto the BB so as to be able to determine exactly which one is the cause.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Please help figure out an uncaught exception,

    Hello All,
I've setup javamail API package to use with Resin web server by copying the necessary jar files under WEB-INF/lib. I've copied mail.jar, mailapi.jar, pop3.jar, smtp.jar and activation.jar.
According to my readings I have everything I need to send simple messages out. But when I run my web application to send a simple message, I get FileNotFoundException exception, please see the snippet diagnostics below. Furthermore, I get an exception somewhere that does not seem to be one of the exceptions I'm catching. I cannot figure out what that exception is and where it's coming from.
I get a FileNotFoundException somewhere during the process of sending the message, but that doesn't seem to stop the process so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the final uncaught exception.
By the way the email message is sent and does reach its destination in spite of the uncaught exception.
Does anyone have any idea what is happening and why?
Thanks in advance for any hints and tips.

  • SDK: Uncaught exception thrown in native code

We are using java and the DQM SDK, our XML validates and while we are trying to create a MultiRecordTransform, we get the following exception with no information to help diagnose the issue.
com.sap.emdq.EmdqException: Uncaught exception thrown in native code
We are using the dquractransformu shared object and have NCOALink enabled.  We have successfully used the URAC transform without NCOALink.  We receive no other errors or logs when starting up, and if we turn off NCOALink, it gets past creating the MR transform.
Is there any other information we can get to help us determine what the issue is?

FYI: We found our setting in the XML that enabled NCOA processing to begin ( <PROVIDER_TYPE> ), but it would be much easier if the error indicated what was missing, instead of the generic "Uncaught exception thrown in native code".  Maybe there is a config setting to get more informative exception messages?

  • WRT160N - Exception has been thrown ...

Wireless Router is the WRT160N, Comcast cable is the broadband provider and the OS is Windows Vista. I was able to setup a desktop and laptop to have a wired connection to the internet. Then I wanted to setup a wireless connection for the laptop while the network cable was still attached. However, when I tried to use the "Go Wireless Wizard" from the EasyLink Advisor I get the following error: "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation." Does anybody know what this is about?
I'm trying to setup this up for a friend.
    Thanks!!

  • SCSM Unregister DW Source - Exception has been thrown by target of invocation

I recently upgraded my client from SCSM 2010 SP1 CU3 to SCSM 2012 SP1.   In the process of upgrade I had to transfer the workflow service to another management server and decommission the old management server.
Problem now is that the MPSync job in the DW is still looking for the old management server.  Here are the event details:
Error 33546:  MP Sync failed to connect to Data Access Service on the machine <old primary server>. Ensure that the service is started and that there are no connectivity issues to <old primary server> if it is a remote server.
I attempted to unregister the data warehouse from the management server from the interface and from the unregister-scdwsource command but receive the following error:  Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
I imagine I need to go into the DWStagingAndConfig database and switch a value to point to the new management server.
Any ideas on where to change this value?

I had the same error when I moved SCSMDW and SCSM to other server. New SCSM serve infact had different DNS name. I updated the value in table
MT_Microsoft$SystemCenter$DataWarehouse$CMDBSource, column SdkServer with a name of new SCSM server and this allowed me to unregister the datasource.
