Errors in emoms.log

Hi everybody,
Im having some problems with the service emctl dbconsole of my database (11.1.0.6.0 on REHL 5). Don't know why it stops usually, and i check emoms.log and see the next error:
2011-06-20 12:02:34,915 [NotificationMgrThread] ERROR em.notification run.1698 - Error checking queue: ORA-25253: listen failed, queue SYSMAN.MGMT_NOTIFY_Q is not enabled for dequeue
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_AQ", line 675
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_AQ", line 702
ORA-06512: at "SYSMAN.EMD_NOTIFICATION", line 509
ORA-06512: at line 1
what it mean? how to solve it?
In first time i think the service was down because i have a lot of wait sessions, could it be the problem?:
select sum(seconds_in_wait),event,count(*) from v$session_wait group by event order by 3 desc;

Hi Helius,
Thanks for your reply, i see in the document you told me:
"What is the relationship between the Events Controller which can be used to stop/start the queues and the concurrent programs?
The queues must always be enabled (started). The listeners will run when scheduled and will terminate with an error ORA-25253 if a queue is disabled (stopped).
The start/stop option provided by the Events controller is an extra DBA provision provided to the system administrator and can also be used when suggested by development to debug queue problems."
And i just see that my MGMT_NOTIFY_Q is not Enqueue. But i don't know if this must be Enqueue='Yes'.
SQL> select OWNER, NAME, ENQUEUE_ENABLED from dba_queues where name='MGMT_NOTIFY_Q';
OWNER NAME ENQUEUE
SYSMAN MGMT_NOTIFY_Q NO
if i change the enqeue to YES, the problem will be solved?

  • Errors in emoms.log file

    Greetings,
I have been poking around a bit trying to better understand some problems and how the OEM works. In the Middleware/gc_inst/em/EMGC_OMS1/sysman/log/emoms.log file I see numerous occurrences of the following error -
    2013-11-18 07:09:56,740 [Thread-136302] WARN  em.dataguard clearMetrics.1545 - StandbyTargetService:clearMetrics(): SQLException: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-20615: -20615Received severity when target is in blackout (target_guid = AF3D78FD11633D484E44A12D074DC59B) (policy_guid=3E6F70DB22758B7B9756EF342180E7BB) (key_value= ERES_HUGE) (violation_level =CLEAR) (collection_ts= 2013-11-18 07:09:56)

    ORA-06512: at line 1
Searching for target using the target_guid I find that this target is a logical standby database which is under blackout.
Question, are these errors in the emoms.log file to be expected when a logical standby is under blackout (or under other circumstances) or is there a problem with the SYSMAN.EM_VIOLATION_CHECKS procedure? I find other references to errors in the SYSMAN.EM_VIOLATION_CHECKS procedure but nothing which specifically fits my situation.
    Thanks.

    Hey;
Thanks again for the response. I tried dropping the repository and got a whole bunch of errors. While attempting to enable the sysman account, I realized that my password contained some characters that have special meaning for oracle and I think that's what was throwing it. The errors with the repository convinced me to try one more reinstall. Bit overkill, perhaps, but that's the whole point of a practice box. Once the database was up and running, teh enterprise manager is fully functional.
Now that I think about it, I wonder if that password could be responsible for my other schema issue as well...
Thanks again; I appreciate your time and patience.

    Hi
I am running oracle11g on enterprise linux 5 and everything seems to be ok. db and enterprise manager starts ok and works fine.I am just little confused when I check em startup logs that are full of errors and warnings. please see below. Unfortunatelly you are right. The real questions here are:
    1. why does OEM silently "hate" the "magic" word "localhost", and what is it that makes difference between "localhost.localdomain" and "hostlocal.domainlocal" (or anything else)? They are just words consisting of letters. Furthermore, the "localhost" is traditional linux hostname for local machines with no network, only loopback interface, and Oracle should respect this fact
    2. what does OEM's silent "animosity" towards the word "localhost" has to do with a perl script error like this: "ERROR: Max Count Value not set properly in file /usr/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1/sysman/config/esa/database.properties line no. 44"?
    3. why is such OEM's behaviour not documented in the installation manual? Why is there even no warning during OEM configuration, either with dbca or manually?
Therefore I consider this OEM's behaviour being a bug par excellence. Changing the name of host to something different than "localhost" is just a weird workaround. Let me remind you that Oracle is a multi-billion dollar company with more than $22 billion total revenues, and it cannot play the games with its customers ignoring such a thing.

  • Oracle error 1012 ("Not Logged On") & AUTOTRAN=Y

    Hi.
I have a problem trying to access an Oracle 8.0.6
database from a 6.5 Tuxedo server.
Both TMS and server execute tpopen correctly
All services are declared as AUTOTRAN
Everything seems to be OK according to the logsgenerated by Oracle XA libraries
However, I always get the Oracle error 1012 ("Not Logged On")
when executing SQL statements from my pro*C server.
I just can't figure out why this error occurs.
I also tried to explicitly open a transaction from the client,
but the result is exactly the same (tpbegin is successfull,
    however).
Could someone help me to make this work ?
    Thanks.

Solved by removing "DB=<db>" from my OPENINFO string, as far as this parameter
should only be used when using proc*C "EXEC SQL ... AT <db>" statements.

  • Error reading job logs of Apps server from Central Instance

    Dear Gurus,
We have newly installed system with one CI ( cluster environment) and 2 application Instances.
Systems are recently installed by other team. I am looking into support part after handover.
We have noticed below error while reading failed background job logs from our CI. If suppose any job is failing, we can read respective job log from that application instance but it throws error while reading job log from CI to either of application instance.
I checked /sapmnt/SID/global is shared among all 3 servers and i am successfully able to "Touch a" from applications instances.
    Even though i have given "777" permissions to all folders like  /sapmnt/SID , /sapmnt/SID/global , /sapmnt/SID/global/400JOB*
I am not able to read job log from CI , for same failed job I can read job log from respective application instance.
    Error log :
    Error reading job log JOBLGX00080700X39290
    Message no. BT167
    Diagnosis
The background processing system was unable to read the job log named in the message.
This message suggests that there is a problem with the TEMSE storage system of the SAP system.  The TEMSE storage system is a repository for temporary objects, such as job logs and spool requests. Job logs are always stored in the TEMSE as operating system files.
This error occurs if the TEMSE system is not able to find or access the file that contains the text of the job log that you requested. Possible causes for the loss or unavailability of the job log include the following:
Someone deleted the required TEMSE file (from the operating system, not from within the SAP system).
A CRON (or equivalent scheduler) job has deleted the TEMSE file.
The file system in which the TEMSE stores its files is not mounted or is not accessible (NFS problem, disk failure, or similar problem).
The TEMSE reorganize or consistency check functions were used within the SAP system and deleted the job log.
    SM21 logs :
    Error 2 for write/read access to a file. File = /usr/sap/SID/SYS/global
BP_JOBLOG_SHOW: Failed to display jobs. Reason:
    > Error reading job log JOBLGX00080700X39290
Strange this is I can check failed job log on one application instance frfom other application instance but not from CI.
Kindly throw some lights where to check.
    Regards,

    Hi Shravan,
I guess it is related to permission to /sapmnt/SID/global folder. Please ensure owner is sidadm:sapsys in all the systems viz CI, App servers etc.
Check the mounting options are correctly set with read/write mode.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Deepak Kori

  • LE_SHP_DELIVERY_PROC Error message through Log .

    Hi,
I'm working on a BADI LE_SHP_DELIVERY_PROC inside the method FILL_DELIVERY_ITEM. I have to show an error message over here. If i passed like MESSAGE e000(zless) WITH text-006 text-007 it is displaying message but it is come out from the layout of the transaction in scope.
Te be more specific, when the pop up of message comes out and after that the user click on the "Exit" button, the  system should go back on the previous layout of the report to allow the user making another selection.
    I'm using Vl10D transaction.
Now I'm trying to generate the error message through log by CT_LOG internal table . I have to block the deliveries whichever is creating through this transaction. If for a particular STO there are different loading points then I need to block the deliveries.
I'm trying to block the current delivery using  IS_LIKP-LIFSK = 'X' and also I need to block the previous delivery IT_XLIKP-LIFSK = 'X'.
strange thing is happening with STO which has 2 deliveries are getting created (because error msg is not getting tirggered thorugh log),  though I have blocked the deliveries.
Could you please let me know how can i populate this error message through log as well as I can block the deliveries?
    Thanks in advance,
    Abhijit

    Hi
To lock the delivery, see Note 198137 - VL10: Customer-specific enhancements / user exits and use this userexits. To populate the log I think that using the structure CT_LOG in the BADI is OK. Check when are called the userexit and BADI.
    I hope this helps you
    Regards
    Eduardo

I never used DynaActionForm, what I have noticed here is, don't you need to declare the form bean? I may be wrong.
    <form-beans>
    <form-bean name="newProdForm" type="com.package.form.NewProdForm"></form-bean>
    </form-beans>

    How could I fix these?
And could these errors have an influence on the following ( I have installed Application Server and Database Enterprise Edition 10.1.0.2.0 on the same machine)?
    * I can run DB on its own fine.
    * I can run AppServer on its own fine.
    * If I start DB and then start the AppServer:
    - I can use DB ok but not the AppServer. Error when I log into the Enterprise Manager.
    * If I start AppServer and then DB:
    - I can use AppServer but DB does not start cleanly.
    Many thanks in advance.

You are going to have to provide more information...
The only time I ever encountered this was when I went to do a service call on someone with a loose connection on the plug right in the back of his iMac. Not every time but often when he wiggled the screen to adjust it he moved the power bar and / or power cable just enough to momentarily break contact.
We plugged everything in securely and the problem never recurred...
If yours is shutting down & restarting because of a power circuit fault there must be a problem with it that should be looked at.
    M
