Errors while Importing SQL into Discoverer

Question

Hi,
I am trying to import the following query in Discoverer and getting the error: "No appropriate join found in EUL (possible missing mandatory filter in SQL)". Can someone assist me with this....
select count(*),
a.resort,
b.some_date
from reservation a,
(select to_date('12/01/06','MM/DD/YY') + rownum - 1 some_date from contp where rownum <= 8) b
where decode(checkin_dt,null,arrive_dt,checkin_dt) <= b.some_date
and decode(checkout_dt,null,depart_dt,checkout_dt) > b.some_date and res_typ in ('I','C','Z') group by a.resort, b.some_date
order by a.resort, b.some_date;

I appreciate the solutions and here is what I have tried:
1) It does work in SQL (Toad)
2) I have refreshed all the Business Areas
3) I tried creating it internally in Discoverer but it seems complexed and dont how to
Here is another query that I was trying and getting the error "Attemp to Open Workbook failed":
select count(*), resort, res_typ
from res.rs_reservation
where decode(res_checkin_dt,null,res_arrive_dt,res_checkin_dt) <= '01-DEC-06'
and decode(res_checkout_dt,null,res_depart_dt,res_checkout_dt) > '01-DEC-06'
and res_typ in ('I','C','Z') group by resort, res_typ;
Please advise...
