ERS Automatic Settlement and adding tax code to SRM PO

Hi.
For ERS Automatic Settlement, the ERS flag has been acticvated on the Vendor master and BP records. The issue we now have is that for new PO's for this ERS supplier, the system gives the error message [Enter a tax code for automatic settlement].
I cannot find the drop down field on the SRM PO screen where the end user can enter in this tax code value (as end users do not enter this on Cart). How do I set this value? Up until now, all tax code selection & amount was entered in the SAP backend invoice screens with MIRO, therefore not part of SRM, but ERS will change this.
We have deployed SRM 5.0.
Thank you.
Dave.

Hi Dave
As per i know TAX validation is required for ERS settlement in standard SRM.
Enterprise Buyer automatically posts the invoice on the basis of the purchase order and the confirmation. ERS within Enterprise Buyer applies to local purchase orders and confirmations.
Determines invoice amount for this ordering transaction from price entered on PO, terms of
payment, tax information, and delivery quantity. ERS must be specified on the business partner
master record.
Purchase orders generated in the back end system can be settled using the ERS functionality within
this back end.
ERS only recommended when you and your vendor have a clear agreement on the conditions.
please check it out any BADI to resolve this since sap code checks if ers then looks tax information also. as you said earlier you dont have any information on sc ( does not have tax). if sc has tax it would have copied into po.

  • Error " In case of evaluated receipt settlement, please maintain tax code", during VI01

    Dear Team
We have a scenario in our environment where for a delivery made for STO Purchase Order, we are trying to post shipping cost document for Shipping document.
When we try to save the document, the system returns the error " In case of evaluated receipt settlement, please maintain tax code".
We have checked in the system. The vendor to whom the PO has been raised is not maintained for Evaluated Receipt Settlement, and as this is a STO , no vendor info record has been maintained for the same.
The issue has started to come for a new plant and transportation route, for other routes and plants we are still able to proceed successfully for creation of shipment costs
Can this be an issue of master data maintanence that we may have missed during plant creation or transportation route creation
    Else, Kindly guide.

    Hi Tarunveer,
Which Vendor are you mentioning: Plant Vendor of STO or Forwarding Agent.
I am suggesting to check in LFM2 for Forwarding Agent.
Same way, in the case of Invoice Tab in PO, (Which PO are you mentioning: STO or PO for Forwarding Agent?)

  • Getting the default zero-rated sales and purchase tax codes

    Hi,
Does anyone know how to obtain the default zero-rated sales and purchase tax codes? ie the tax exempt sale and purchase tax codes.  The OADM holds the default sales and purchase tax codes but not the default zero-rated sales and purchase tax codes. Is this set by region?
    Lita

    Hi Lita,
I don't know much about the zero rated tax codes or where it is set up, but what I can suggest is if you know where the system retrieves it (say on an Invoice) that you use SQL Profiler to possibly investigate where the queries are pulled from.
Where in SBO is the zero-rated tax codes used?
    Hope it helps,
    Adele

  • Tax amount and sales tax code fields not visible in tcode MIR4

    Hi,
A workflow has been cretaed for cretaing the invoices. Here in SRM invoice, the tax code and Sales tax code fields are not visible in tcode MIR4 though data has been passed while creating it.
When i am checking the "calculate tax" check box, am able to see these two fields on the MIR4 page.
Am not able to find the reason for this behaviour. As its working fine for other invoices. This is the case with only SRM invoice.
    Kindly provide your inputs.
    Thanks!

  • Tax code in SRM not same as in ECC

    Hi,
We are using SRM 7.0 ECS scenario. We have 5 different tax codes in ECC. Now the standard ECC functionality is that these tax codes are maintained in the purchase Info record. When we create ECC PO, the tax code is adopted from the PIR.
We want the same thing to take place in SRM. Our current setting is that we have maintained a default Tax code in SRM, and all SC line items get this Tax code. But our requirement is to fetch the tax code from PIR. SRM 7 should allow this as a standard functionality, same as ECC.
Is there any configuration to achieve this?
If there is no configuration, what is the customization that we need to do and in which BADI?
    Sumendra

    Hello,
Check if an active implementation of BBP_DET_TAXCODE_BADI is changing the selected tax code.
Also, any PO badi could influence this behaviour.
    Kind regards

  • Different Tax codes in SRM PO and replicate ECC PO

    Hello Experts,
Problem related to the TaX code in replicated PO .
We are in Extended classic scenario.
In SRM, when creating Shopping cart we enter manual tax code like e1(20%) or e2(25%) etc and when PO gets generated and replicated in the backend the tax code changes from E1 to V4.
Now in SRM PO the tax code is E1 and in backend replicated PO the tax code is v4.
I have checked the condition records in MEK3 t-code in ECC and found that condition record for same region is v4, i think because of this condition record the system is overwriting the tax code which is coming from SRM system.
Irrespective of any tax code which is coming from SRM PO , the ecc PO overwrites the V4 tac code for same region.
How i can overwrite that the SRM and ECC should have the same tax code as chosed in SRM at the time of creating a SC or a PO
    Please help to accomplish
    Thanks

  • MIRO - One line and two Tax codes

    Hello dear all,
If I have a reception (MIGO), one line item.
But in the supplier invoice this line has two tax codes. How can we post it in MIRO, what can be the process ?
Is anyone had similar case ?
    Regards

please, check the note 395973 where it is explained in point 2:
" If I want to use a different tax code in Transaction MIRO, what
      should I do?
In the invoice verification, the tax is calculated based on the
items in the entered invoice. If you want to set a different tax
code, you must make this change in the item list. You can also use
the tax tab page in the header area of the invoice, particularly
when there are several tax codes in the document. If you enter a tax
code on the initial screen that does not exist in the item list, the
invoice cannot be posted (error FF812).This system response is
programmed as such and is intended this way.
For the default values in the input help for the tax code, refer to
    Note 336821. "
I hope this information can help you.

  • Withholding Tax Types and Withholding Tax Code

    Good Afternoon SAP Guru's
I need some help with a very basic question.  I need to configure WHT and EWHT for 1099 and 1042.  I am in the US.  Here is the configuration I completed so far which I hope is appropriate.  Please tell me if it not.
    SPRO for EWHT
    Maintain Country
    Define Reason for Exemption
*is this needed for 1099 not withholding?
    Maintain Recipient Type
    Define WHT keys
    Check Recipient Types
      *1042 only?
    WHT type for invoice posting
*created I1 for WHT type for Invoice Posting
    WHT type for payment posting
      *created 42 for 1042
      *created ST for 1099 State
      *created FE for 1099 Federal
    Define Rounding Rule for WHT
      *is this necessary
Assign Condition Type to WHT type
      *what is this for?
My big issue is that I am confused on Tax Type and Tax Code.
I believe it is required to have 3 tax types for invoice posting and 3 for payment posting?  I have 3 scenarios each.  They are as mentioned earlier
    1099- not withholding
    1099- withholding
    1042- withholding
I haven't configured 3 tax types for invoice posting, only 1 at this time.
For tax code, I struggle with the tax code field because the field is only 2 positions and therefore, how do I differentiate the different codes listed on the 1099 and 1042 on here?  There are 18 codes on a 1099 and 50 on a 1042.  Any suggestions?
Do I need to enter 1099 codes twice because one is exempt and the other is withholding?  Or is that the reason why I need to create a exemption reason code for WHT type?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

  • Multiple tax code option and add tax code at the time of Import

Is there a way using which we can add multiple tax codes to a Products. Also is it possible that we apply this tax code to products at the time of Product import instead on manually updating this to each product.
    Regards

    Hi Leena,
As per the system design, you can't add multiple tax codes to a product. You can update the tax code using Product import feature. For info on product import, Please refer to the following link http://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst/partner/product-inventory.html

  • Tax Code Determination-SRM

    Hi All,
I'm having problem determining country/company code specific tax codes in shopping cart. Currently I'm gettig all the defined Tax Codes in the system.
I tried implementing SAP note 782463, it gave me drop down in browser but as there is no search help attached to it or not even any search help module so it shows message "No Input Help Available".
I even tried implementing BAdi "BBP_F4_READ_ON_EXIT" and "BBP_F4_READ_ON_ENTRY" but it seems they are not being called. I think, if implemented, this will filter the already available drop down and no F4 help required in this case.
Now I'm seeking your advice, if implementing SAP note, do I need to modify back-end SAP standard screen and put an Input Help (F4) function module there?
Other is please let me know BAdi implementation process in both R/3 and SRM system is same. As browser based applications cannot be debugged, I cant see how the program is being executed and why its not calling the said BAdis.
Your earliest response would be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Shabbar

    Hi Deep
SRM does not have its own tax calculation logic. it can only be done either via
    1. Backend Tax calculation
    2. Tax calculation by an external tax system connected to Backend
    3. Tax calculation by an external tax system connected to SRM
    4. Tax calculation by SAP TTE connected to SRM
    5. Customer specific tax calculations, you need to develop your tax calculation functionality here.....
Check your other Forum message for more details around these options

  • Mass changes of TAX code in SRM Enterprise buyer

    Hello experts ,
The TAX code in our country was change from 15.5% to 16.5%.
We all ready cerate new tax code in SPRO and we need to know what in the best way  to change the tax to ten new one in POu2019S that all ready in process.
We want to process it as mass changes.
    Pleas gave some advice
    Regards
    Gil shinar

    Hi,
I dont think there is any mass update function in SRM. This kind of change is generally managed through Business Process Change Management. The old purchase orders should be picked up and updated manually when you cutover to the new tax code.
Moreover, as the tax calculation is generally done in an external system(Tax system) or in SAP R/3 , why dont you think of changing the tax percentages under the same tax code and drop the idea of creating a new tax code.

  • Adding company code to SRM 07 contract

    Dear Experts,
I am working with SRM 7.01.
Can I work with one contract for users from different company code?
How can i add company code to contract?
    Thank you.
    Yaron

    Hello,
When you go to FD01 you enter first the customer account group, the customer no and the company code you want to create the customer in.
Underneath you find the possibility to enter reference data. The combination I mean is: same customer no and other (the one in which the customer already exists) company code.

  • Texas Sales and Use Tax - SAP Automatic Tax Code Assignment

We are an end user industry of materials and services - Refining.  We are also using SAP - 4.6C platform.  What are others in the SAP environment doing to address proper taxing assignment to purchased materials and services in the great state of Texas? As you may be aware the Texas State Sales and Use tax rules are probably the most difficult to understand and comply with that exist. I am embarking on developing a custom solution to automatically assign the proper tax code on purchase orders depending on key indicators associated with maintenance orders and material groups, etc.

The Sales and Use tax code assignment can be handled at the creation of the purchase order for plan purchases of goods and services, and at the accounts payable level when the invoice is process.  At each step the necessary tax code must be populated on the jurisdiction field.

  • ERS tax code

I am getting a error while creating a PO checked with ERS. The error "In case of evaluated receipt settlement, please enter tax code". I am creating these PO automatically from ME59N. Also I wont have Info Records for these Vendors so the tax code wont come. Can we default tax code(I0) in the PO somehow?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Amit,
I think it is possible to default tax code in the PO without maintaining Info record.
Please read and try the following:
Within the framework of the price determination process, it is possible to have the tax code determined automatically via the conditions.
For the purposes of automatic tax code determination, tax indicators derived from the material master record, Customizing, or the purchasing document are used. The system determines the tax code on the basis of the combination of these tax indicators.
To assign a tax code to a combination of tax indicators, you must maintain master conditions in Purchasing (menu options "Master data -> Taxes").
There are tax indicators at the levels "plant", "account assignment category" and "material".
In addition, there are two tax indicators that are derived from the purchasing document:
Country of origin and country of destination differ
Region of origin and region of destination differ
The assignments "tax indicator -> plant" and "tax indicator -> account assignment category" must be made in Customizing.
Automatic tax code determination can be useful, for example, if different tax rates apply depending on whether a material is placed in stock or is consumed immediately following its procurement.
path: SPRO - IMG - MM - Purchasing - Taxes.
You need to assign access sequence (0003) to the Tax condition type (for eg. NAVS).
also read the documentation in the followinf link.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/55/4063cbb5f611d395ef00a0c929f4c9/frameset.htm
    hope this helps.
please try this and let me know.
    Thanks
