ES Bundles in ERP

Hello Experts,
We would like to use the Enterprise Services bundles that SAP ships as part of Enhancement Packages. Now the question is, do I need to install the entire EhP or can I only install the enterprise services in the ERP ? The service definitions are anyways available as separate TPZ file but I wasnt sure if we could do the same thing for the backed part.
From what I could read a little bit, the Enterprise Services bundle on ERP are available as a add-on so I guess it could be possible to just install the bundle.
Thanks for all the help.
Regards,
Parag.

Hello Bala,
Thank you for your information about recorded online session, I will search later.
And as for another question, I didn't mean "EhP2's EAM features" as new ES, but as "new EAM features" like Maintenance event builder, Hierarchical task list. I wanted to know if these functions are available to SM order also.
But, actually, according to the document, service marketplace linked above message>SAP enhancement package 2 for SAP ERP 6.0: Details, page118, there is the following sentence;
Orders: planner can create plant maintenance or customer service orders from the task lists and task list hierarchies in the notifications.
I'm sorry for all the fuss...

  • System prerequisites for BRFplus

    Hi,
    I would like to  know what are the system prerequisites to utilize the latest version of BRFplus.
    Are they  SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EHP2  and  SAP ERP 6.0 EHP5 ? If the answer is yes, are both components already released for general availability?
    Thanks,
    Javier

    Hi Javier,
    NW 7.0 EhP2 contains the version of BRFplus you should use. It is bundled with ERP EhP6 or CRM EhP1 or PPM.
    PPM went into ramp-up in April 2010. ERP and CRM are planned for ramp-up in December.
    In case you want to work with BRFplus already today, maybe you can get into an TEA (test and evaluation agreement).
    I also know of several customers that use BRFplus on a machine other than ERP (e.g. BI).

  • Mass configuration of standard ES Bundle ESA Add-On 603

    Hi All:
    We have recently installed and activated the ECC-SE ESA add-on 603 on our SAP ERP 7.0 SP14 with soamanager transaction. I have checked that the add-on, I believe, it is most likely well installed. At least, when I execute the SPROXY transaction and I search for the enterprise service definitions, I can found them all. (All the standard services included on the add-on).
    I have activated on the SICF all the services included on the /default_host/sap/bc/srt/xip/sap/ route, and I have also activated the services for the SOA application manager, where I can successfully enter.
    I have reviewed many documentation available on the SDN but I cannot find how to create a real mass configuration of the standard services included on the ES Bundle. I have reviewed the documentation available at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/47/3431de6c720aa7e10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm , and execute most of the steps included but the documentation is not very good.
    I have entered on the SOAMANAGER transaction and access to the +Technical Configuration / Profile Management +, where I have created a default profile or at least after some attemps it has appeared. I have reviewed all the profile characteristics at seems the correct thing to do.
    1.Create the DEFAULT_PROFILE.
    Later I entered on the Mass Configuration, where you can create a configuration scenario, selecting all the service you want to configure. Here I created a test scenario where I selected some test services such as detailed_flight_info_get, businesspartner.. and so on. Later you save it and you active the configuration scenario.
    I had to assign each one of them to the profile I previously created in order to configured them. My question:
    Is there is a way to skip or to automate this step or I have to manually assign all the 600 services included on the ES Bundle to the default profile in order to "mass configure" them.

    Hi all:
    I have entered on the ES Workplace site and see how configurations are for SOA MANAGER there, I have opened a standard service similar to the one I am trying to configure and I see that it has no services or endpoint either.
    Object Status: Services: 0 / Endpoints: 0
    Porttype Namespace: http://sap.com/xi/EA-APPL/SE/Global
    Porttype Name: MaintenanceOrderCreateRequestConfirmation_In
    Internal Name: ECC_MAINTENANCEORDERCRTRC
    SOAP Applikation: URN:SAP-COM:SOAP:XMS:APPLICATION:XIP
    Package Name: PLM-SE_EAM_XI_PROXY
    So I am a little bit disoriented, I have seem that if I go to WSCONFIG and WSADMIN all the services are there. This makes sense as this is an upgraded version and the services where already created using these transactions. Nonetheless, I am still disoriented I cannot find relation between the soamanager and the wsconfig / wsadmin transactions.
    Frankly, I am starting to believe that I should release the services with the WSCONFIG / WSADMIN, and forget about the soamanager until SAP create a meaningful guide of how to work with this application as currently it makes no sense at all.
    Or perhaps there is a how-to of the configuration steps to perform once a ES Bundle has been activated.
    kind regards

    Hello,
    We are planning to implement External Cash Desk ES Bundle at our place...
    Where can I find any cook books or any step by step guide...
    My problem here is what type of communication channels should I use to connect ERP from PI for this bundle..
    THanks
    John

    Hi John,
    My problem here is what type of communication channels should I use to connect ERP from PI for this
    bundle
    You need to use proxy connection for ERP to PI ( use XI adapter,for an inbound scenario )  as the ES bundle when imported in ESR will create proxies automatically in the backend system. The recieve side you can use the same strucuture (copied) or as required . You can use soap receiver  adapter as most of the services are synchrounous  and have confirmation messages.
    or if you  want  to design without PI then you can create end point in soamanager for the Enterprise services(/people/mohan.kumark/blog/2008/10/14/soamanager-how-to-test-service-definition-using-soamanager-transaction)

  • Experiences with ES Bundle "Integration of external Warehouse Management" ?

    Hi PI Experts,
    anybody who can share experiences with the ES Bundle Integration of [External Warehouse Management System |https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/wiki?path=/display/espackages/integrationofExternalWarehouseManagement+System] and the usage of its Enterprise Services "Confirm Goods Movement_V1" or "Confirm Goods Movement" ?
    As far as I understood these ES can be used for goods movements out of the ERP System.
    Is it really possible to use these ES while creating an goods movement with Transaction MIGO ??
    As far as I know it is only possible to send Transport Orders with WMTORD IDOCS out of SAP to externa Systems (!!) without any custom coding (!!) . Using instead an WMBXY message type (IDOC WMBIDO02) is only for inbound IDOC processing. If using this Standard IDOC for outbound IDOC processing the only way is implementing the BADI called while perfoming the TA MIGO. Correct?
    Any experiences either with the ES Bundle or the IDOC goods movement out of SAP ERP are welcome.
    Kind regards,
    Dries

    you can use ES for creating goods movement in SAP ( see the esoa sample apps on sdn) or you can make your won service published using BAPI .
    I am not catching you in the use of BADI , elaborate more about that.

  • Unable to see all the service of ES Bundle after EHP4

    Hello All,
    We have upgraded to ERP 6.0 EhP4.
    I wish to use the services available in ES Bundle "External Cash Desk"
    https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ESpackages/ExternalCashDeskEnterpriseServices
    But when I open SOAMANAGER and try to search with query as "cash", I am able to see only 1 service in the namespace http://sap.com/xi/FICA/Global i.e. "CashPointOpenItemSummaryByElementsQueryResponse_In".
    Please tell me if there is any other way to search for the service.
    Do let me know why am I not able to see all the services.
    regards,
    Piyush

    Hi Piyush,
    >Can you also tell me that can we call synch and asynch services without PI in the landscape
    Sync service is like any other webservice which work over http and using SOAP protocol so calling Sync service is not issue even w/o PI.
    On other hand Async services need some sort of middleware as they are not real time and often need integration with thridparty/legacy interfaces hence they need PI to manage transformation and transport part of communication.
    Async services are usually designed for mediated communication (i.e. using middleware like PI).

  • Modify code for MSS/ESS in MySAP ERP 2004

    Hi,
    I have ECC, mySAP ERP 2004, NW 2004 and need to modify standard MSS in compensation management. I imported the MSS sca into the development track but unable to get the code of ecm. Isnt this migrated in NW2004? If not how do I get the par files or source code for editting the ecm of MSS.
    Please help,
    Dhanya

    1 - Is it par files or WD in ERP 2004 for compensation Management ? Can you tell me where can I download the standard par file ?
    In ERP2004, we had par files. You can download the business package from - https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/developerareas/contentportfolio. When you unzip the zip file, you can see the par files there.
    2 - whether it is a right approach to download the standard par file, change and export it to reflect the changes liek normal portal projects?
    You shouldn't be changing the standard code. Once changed, support from SAP becomes difficult. But anyways, once changed it can surely be exported like any other object.
    3 - I have new WD ESS and MSS also so can I do a SCA for both the WD components and pars of portal applications into the same SCA? What is the best practise ?
    Ideally, WD applications and Portal Applications should be bundled in different SCA files. The reason being, WD can be stand-alone applications running on J2EE engine (though in your case it is not) but Portal applications are meant to run in the Portal Runtime.

  • ESM ERP 603 - XI Content

    Hello There
    I have just completed install of SAP Enhancement Pack 3 but now I have a request to install ESM ERP 603, I have noticed that this is not part of the Enhancement Pack and on SAP Service Market Place I am only able to find support packages up to patch 02, the file extensions are .tpz.
    1) How does one install ESM ERP 6.03
    2) Is there any activation process after install
    Kind Regards
    Nishan

    Hi Nishan
    having searched for SAP Notes, I am not sure wether an ESM 6.03 exists, or wether an ESM 6.04 is planned to exist.
    In any case ESM seems to be an ABAP add-on in the area of SOA enablement/ part of ES Bundles.
    For installation-instructions on SOA, the following sources are helpful:
    - service.sap.com/erp-inst -
    > specific SOA Master Guide
    - The SAP Developer Network (SAP SDN) at
    https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/x/LQ0 (registration required).
    In the Must Know Document and Master Guide for SAP enhancement package 3 for SAP ERP 6.0 will you find general recommendations about the installation of add-ons with an enhancement package, and in particular SAP Note 1117309 - Compatibility of AddOns vs enhancement packages for ERP 6.0.

  • Enteprise Services in mySAP ERP 2005

    Hi all,
    does anyone know, or can give me a link, which ES Bundles (or Enterprise Services) where delivered with the first release of mySAP ERP 2005? I know they are around 300.
    On the ES Workplace are all ES listed (and also the previews of the next EPs?), but with no distinction.
    The ES-Wiki gives specific information on the ES Bundles in the Enhancement Packages, but not for the first release.
    Thanks for your help,
    Alejandro

    Hi.
    It is indeed helpful, thank you.
    It seems to list the deployed ES (and has a good technical explenation too!). However I still have the question if there were any ES Bundles deployed or defined in the first release. This <a href="https://websmp109.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000071822007E">presentation</a>  shows for example, that the Credit Management Bundle has Entperprise Services from the first release as well as from EP 2005.1. But I am assuming there were none defined.
    Does anyone have a clue about this?
    Alejandro.

  • Interface for open FI items to dunning agencies in ERP

    There is no SAP standard interface technology for sending out open FI items dunning data to a collection agency in normal SAP ERP solution. In standard only printing with SAPScript ( and Smartform ) is supported.
    There must be tailored 'dunning interface to collection agency' customer solutions out there even for normal ERP accounts receivable, so what was your approach? All help are appreciated, but right now I am not looking for sample code, but rather overall best practises. Also I am aware, that each collection agencies have their own interfaces, but that can be solved with many options like EAI for example. Mostly I am interested how to get the dunning data created from standard dunning procedure regardless how the receiving dunning agency finally wants to have it.
    I know that ERP-IS-Utilies has one solution, and I have even implemented that once, so you don't get points by refering to that. Unfortunately IS-U uses contract accounting and has a completely own dunning procedures (and own tables as well) compared to normal ERP dunning, thus no help for standard ERP dunning.

    I would set the File's Owner to by view controller and then I could drop a navigation item in and connect that right away to the controller
    Yes, I agree. The nav item used to show up as an outlet of any view controller.
    When I try to load the nib at runtime I get this error:
    The problem with the doc is this line:
    To push a new view controller at runtime, _create a new instance of your custom UIViewController subclass, initialize it with the nib_ file you created for it, and push it on the navigation controller stack.
    The underlined portion can lead us to believe we can alloc and initWithNibName:bundle: as we would when File's Owner is a proxy for the controller we create in code. But that won't work in this case, since the controller we want is the one that's created from the view controller object when the nib is loaded. In other words, we don't want to alloc a new controller, we just want to grab the object made from the nib. Here's what to do:
    // RootViewController.m
    - (IBAction)nextView {
    NSLog(@"nextView");
    // SecondViewController *viewController = [[SecondViewController alloc]
    // initWithNibName:@"SecondViewController" bundle:nil];
    NSArray *nib = [[NSBundle mainBundle] loadNibNamed:@"SecondViewController"
    owner:self options:nil];
    NSLog(@"nib=%@", nib);
    SecondViewController *viewController = [nib objectAtIndex:0];
    [self.navigationController pushViewController:viewController animated:YES];
    // [viewController release];
    Be sure not to release the object obtained from the nib, since we didn't alloc it. Top level objects created from a nib are autoreleased. You can put some logging into the second view controller's dealloc to verify it gets dealloced when popped:
    // SecondViewController.m
    - (void)dealloc {
    NSLog(@"dealloc: %@", self);
    [super dealloc];

  • What else do I need for ES Bundle HCM Master data

    Hi
    This may be a silly question but i'm chasing my tail a little here.
    I need to see the services described in the es workplace for HCM master data ES bundle. I am under the impression that if I have the appropriate Enhancement pack installed in my SAP ERP system then I should have  access already to these services.
    The Enterprise extension EA-HR  is active. We are on EHP4 for SAP ERP yet I cannot see any of the services described using SOAMANAGER or SICF.
    Have I missed the point completely or is there a businees function or something else that needs activating before I xcan see these services?
    Thanks
    Mark

    Thanks
    Specifically I was after service operation EmployeeBasicDataByEmployeeQueryResponse_In which is defined as
    Software Component Version ESA ECC-SE 604
    Namespace http://sap.com/xi/EA-HR/SE/Global
    Direction inbound
    Mode synchronous
    It belongs to service interface Manage Employee In
    I would assume that I would see this in SICF.
    I have loaded EA-HR XI Content for 7.0 and see specific async service interfaces defined there but not the one above
    Thanks

  • Report RFKLBU10: Missing Parameter for Logical filename in Release ERP 2005

    Hello Experts,
    Report RFKLBU10 in Sap Release 4.6c hat a parameter "Old dataset logical name".
    The new version of this report in SAP Release ERP 2005 there is no such parameter.
    Is this a SAP-Bug ?
    Best regards,
    Mike

    There are no Export or Print events accessible for the viewer
    Since it sounds like you are creating the reportdocument object in your click event, the settings on this object become out of scope on successive postbacks executed by other events.
    to get around this without major changes, you can place your "report" object in session in this event and retrieve it from session on successive postbacks.  This should solve your problems around navigation, printing and exporting.  What you will need to do is check if the session object exists (usually in page_load or page_initialze) and if so, retrieve it from session and bind it to the viewer's reportsource.  If the session object does not exist, then do nothing (ie you have not clicked your button yet that retrieves the parameter values from session and loads the report).  Also, in your click event you can check if the report session object exists and if so, remove it so that it can be re-created with your new parameter values (ie i'm assuming the only time you want to set parameter values is in this event).

  • Error while creating "RETURNS" as ERP Sales transaction type

    Description: We are getting error while creating ERP SLO type "Returns-ZRE". Message prompts as "Creation of ERP Transaction failed". We do not get the message for other order types for example "Standard order".
    Please suggest. Please note that this is an ERP sales order in CRM UI not a CR< sales order.
    Thanks

    Is this only for a particular order type?
    As stated above this can be to do with user authorisations or the trusted RFC set up. Some things to check are:
    - ST22 dumps in ECC
    - ST01 authorisation trace for the user in ECC
    - Trusted RFC connection set up

  • Directive Bundle - Shutdown workstation no longer works

    Our network has been using a directive bundle to shutdown our pc's for over a year now and it had worked quite well up until a couple of weeks ago.
    At that point I added an additional requirement to keep it from shutting down a pc on our network, since then the pc's are no longer turning off as they had.
    The action is set to shutdown the pc's after 900 seconds(15 minutes) and gives the user the option to cancel. The bundle is associated to 4 different workstation groups. The schedule for each association is set to "recurring" and has both the Distribution Schedule and the Launch Schedule set for 6:45pm M,T,W,T,F.
    I originally tried to edit the bundle back to its original state by removing the requirement I had added, they still didn't shut down.
    Then I rebooted the ZEN server(10.1.1) in case a service or something had been stopped or affected.
    The bundle appears on all the clients under the "assigned bundles" in the agent and shows it is available and effective.
    Yet the pc's still do not power off... any ideas?

  • Creation of multiple contracts in ERP backend from 1 GOA in SRM

    Hello fellow SRM'ers, we are on SRM 5.5 and we have a scenario where we create a GOA in SRM and it get's created as a contract in the ERP backend system.  This is working fine.  Now our client would like to have multiple contracts created in the backend, one for each company when the GOA is saved.  I found OSS note 646903, statement #2 that explains how to code the badi bbp_ctr, but is this all that is required to do this?  It seems to me that the code in BBP_CTR will only create 1 contract/idoc.  Can anyone tell me how we generate an idoc/contract that we want to create in ERP backend?  Or is this how it's done?
    Points will be rewarded for usefull answers.  I have read most of the posts on this forum and have not found any answers yet.
    Thanks,
    Marty

    Hi,
    Please go through the below explanation from SAP documentation which says the no of contracts that would be created in the backend depends on
    --If you activate grouping logic for locations in GOA from SPRO under cross aplication settings, items belonging to the same release-authorized purchasing organization, but different locations, can be grouped together into one backend contract. This requires a 1:1:1 relationship between an item, the release-authorized purchasing organization, and the location. This means that for each item, you can only assign one release-authorized purchasing organization, and one location, in order to release the GOA.
    If you do not select this indicator to activate the grouping logic for location, a separate backend contract is created for each item belonging to the same release-authorized purchasing organization, but with different locations. Only items referring to the same release-authorized purchasing organization and location can be combined into one backend contract.---
    So the bottomline is by default, when we distribute one separate contract is created for each location.
    Hope this clarifies.
    Regards,
    RRK
