"Estimate Levels" error messages

Hi guys, 10.1.3.2 here.
I tried to run "Estimate Levels" while online (right click on subj area - Estimate Levels).
I got several errors (RPD validates fine):
a) 14016 Queries requesting a grand total along with foreign keys from
the fact table are not supported. - not really sure what this one is....
b) 46008 - a general error has occured - "internal error" - then some filename with CPP extension (C++?) - SQORRqexpr.CPP line 1441 - this one even more weird
c) a dimension from an alias table is not estimating correctly - hierarchy is built correctly with all the keys. an alias of the same source table validates just fine (different fields)...I get "Failed consistency check for this level" message, but after I set it manually it works - some values are NULL - so a possiblity?
I'm started to have suspicions something is corrupted in RPD on UDML level....
I'd really appreciate any tips or hints....
Thanks

All messages in SAP are defined in a five character unique ID, broken up into the first two characters denoting the category, and the last three denoting the no. A common transaction to change any and all messages in the system is OBA5. This transaction gives you message control at the user level - meaning, e.g., suppose a message needs to be labeled as error for only SOME users. This transaction gives you that flexibility.
The changes are transportable. Use with caution though.
Remember to assign points if found useful.

  • Q:  Supressing the attribute level error message ? Error appears twice

    Hi,
Is there a way for my customer to supress the attribute level error message?
    In Internet Expenses,
    The error message :
    'Error
Justification - a receipt with this expense type requires a justification.
Please enter a justification for this receipt.'
is appearing twice on the Cash and Other Expenses Details page
It appears once at the top of the page and again underneath the Justification box/field.
    Thanks for your help,
    Vicky

    Vicky,
I think its the AttrValException you are hitting. In that case it is the expected behaviour of the Exception.
    Thanks

  • ADFBC: Customizing attribute level error messages

    hi,
i am using JDev 10.1.3 and i want to customize the default attribute level error messages that the ADF would raise in response to the database. for example in a input field (which expects a primary key) if a duplicate field is entered you would see a JBO exception telling you that its a duplicate right under the Component. But as i am using the a custom error handler class which inherits the DCErrorHandlerImpl along with a custom pageLifecycle and ADFPhaseListener classes (as in the ADF Guide), i manage to customize the messages according to the ErrorCodes but the messages that are displayed under the component giving the specific messages are no longer there.
Is there a way to customize them so that i can put the general error messages on top of the page (using the <af:messages> tag) and component/attribute specific errors beside the components.
any help or pointers would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

There is surely a section in the Fusion Developer's Guide on custom error/exception handling. Have you found it? Perhaps you have since you are considering overriding view/model framework objects.
In JDev 10g there was very good documentation for how to do this in the ADF Developer's Guide. As far as I could tell, the equivalent manuals are the Fusion Developer Guides for ADF 11g. I think you will have a lot of luck getting what you want if you research this a bit more.
In ADF 10g, what you are alluding to certainly was the solution to what you wanted. I do not know a whole lot about version 11g, but I suspect it is similar in this regard.
in 10g this process started with overriding the ADF life-cycle.
Once you get this working I also found some on-line commentary/articles from Avrom Roy-Federman on how to additionally extend error handling.
All this said, you also seem to be asking some other questions (jobid and such), the solutions of which would require us to have more information about your application, I think.
Maybe you can take one question at a time? Or start multiple threads?

  • No organizational data exists on item level (error message)

    Hello everybody,
I still have this error message when try to create a shopping cart : 'No organizational data exists on item level'
Following a lengthy discussion with SAP Support, SAP recommended that I remove the reference of the Purchasing Organization and Purchasing Group to the backend system (R/3).
After removing the reference I was able to complete the SC creation process, but I got an error at the PO creation process, where I am unable to release the PO since it is not linked to a backend (R/3) Purchasing Organization/Group.
I am currently using SRM 4.0 with EBP 5.0 in Extended Classic Scenario.
I need an Urgent help on this issue !!
    Thanks,
    Lina

    Hi,
If You have own PO document type (ZCS) then don't hange it.
in SYS attrib add a local EBP system
If you don't use local categories, You don't need to add product cat. * for local system.
in my ppoma_bbp company have two purch orgs.
-for local (fields with purch org and system id is empty)
-for backend (fields with purch org is filled from backend system.)
    Example:
Company (function with company code PW01\R3100)
    - Purch org local (function purch. org. checked but not filled)
    - Purch group local (function purch. group checked bud not filled)
    - Purch org backend (function purch. org. checked with values PZ1\R3100)
    - Purch group backend (function purch. group checked with values PZZ\R3100)

Hi! I downloaded my old printer to my new Mac. Everything works fine with the printer, except when I try to see how much ink I have left. I'm worried because I don't think I'll be able to tell which ink I'll need to replace when I eventually get the out of ink message. Please help! Thanks!

    Hi,
Please ask  the question in LAN SWITCHING community for speedy response but it looks like a message indicating that Switch is seeing a packet with src mac 00.00.00.00.00.00 which obviously is Invalid. Switch learns the mac from src in the frame and it is wrong. Looks like Mac-spoofing.

  • Dimensional Hierarchy - Estimate Levels - Consistency Error

    Hi,
I have created Time dimension hierarchy. Fiscal Yr-Fiscal Qtr -Fiscal Wk- Fiscal Month.
When I check Estimate levels - Fiscal Yr and Fiscal Month are passed.
For Fiscal Qtr and Fiscal Wk -- throwed error. Consistency Failed.
    What could be the reason?
In database I have only one table.
    Thanks!!

Bear in mind that the "Estimate Levels" option is very buggy at the best of times. All it essentially does is a count distinct of the key values at each level so you can do this manually if you prefer.
The consistency messages you are seeing might be because the number of elements is lower than the number at the hierarchy level above. The number of distinct values should be lowest at the top of the hierarchy and increase with each subsequent child level. Personally, I would just set the numbers manually and forget the "Estimate Levels" option.

  • Component level display of the Custom Error Message in 11g

Iam using custom error handler that extends the default DCErrorHandlerImpl class to handle the Custom exceptions thrown from the service layer, and able to see the exception displayed in the ADF UI in a popup window.
How can we do Customization in order to display the Custom error message inline with a component (i.e. associated with a specific UI component with the arrow mark look and feel ) instead of the global level message displayed as a pop up window on the ADF UI page? Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Kayal.

  • Error Message while trying to burn a DVD-R with my MacBook Pro: "The disc can't be burned, because the device failed to calibrate the laser power level for this media.

While using my Mac OS X Version 10.6.8 to burn a DVD-R I keep getting the error message: "This disc can't be burned, because the device failed to calibrate the laser power level for this media."
So, I tried the iDVD and got the same error message.
Can anyone out there help me? I've tried both a DVD - R, and a CD.
I made a short 2:20 minute presentation from iMovie and used the "share" to iDVD, then to iTunes, then I tried exporting it to Quicktime and saved it on my desk top. That is when I tried burning by opening the blank DVD-R in the finder then draging the movie on to it and selecting the burn option. Thank you for your time in helping me with this frustrating problem.
    Peace, Pyxidis

I have had that same problem, but it was unrelated to any upgrade.
In my case the optical drive was simply failing, and I replaced it - it was a Powerbook, about eight years old.
It is possible that it's unrelated to Lion, as unlikely as this may seem, since you've just upgraded.
Optical drives seem to be the most life-limited component in these computers. The laser just seems to get weak with age.

  • Error Message in Delivery : Quantity falls below minimum inventory level

    Version : SBO 2005 A SP01 PL22
Description of Issue:  When trying to Add a Delivery you get Error Message: Quantity falls below minimum inventory level [Delivery - Rows - Warehouse Code] [line: 0]  [Message 131-14].  You are then unable to Post the Delivery and Print the corresponding Packing List.
Testing Findings:  Upon detailed testing of this issue and work with SAP Support it has been determined that the issue is that the Delivery Row Ordered Qty is looking at the OITM In Stock Qty when determining if the full Row Qty can ship instead of the OITW In Stock Qty.  This is an issue because due to other "bugs" this Client has encountered their OITW Qtys in other Whses are negative, even though they have the Block Negative Inventory and the Manage Inventory by Warehouse Flags Checked On.  This then reduces the OITM Qty below the level of the Delivery Row and you get the above error message.
Example:  A Sales Order Row has an Order Qty of 15 for Whse 01 for a particular Item.  The OITW In Stock Qty for Whse 01 = 17.  The OITW In Stock Qty for Whse 03 = -7.  The Block Negative Inventory and Manage Inventory by Whse Flags are both Checked On.  The 'Net' OITM In Stock = 10.  When you try to Copy the Sales Order to a Delivery and Add the Delivery, you get the above Error Message and it will not allow you to Post the Delivery and Print the Packing List.
Current Workaround:  Client is performing Inventory Goods Receipts to bring the In Stock Qtys in the affected Whses to greater than or equal to zero.
Proposed Solution:  SAP Development to add logic to SAP Business One to validate the Delivery Row Qtys to Ship against the OITW In Stock Qtys instead of OITM when the Manage Inventory by Whse Flag is checked on.
Supporting Documentation: This DRQ Request relates to Support Message # 864405 2007.  All above referenced testing details including example SO#'s, Item #'s, etc. and an entire copy of the Client's database are available and linked to this Message #.

    Hi Ramu,
also you can  make sure you are choosing the right WH in ctrlshiftS windows if You do, then chek on Inventory -> Inventory report -> inventory status if you have enought and available quantities for the delivery, if you dont then you gonna have to make the PO and the AP Invoice to add more quantity to that item

  • How do I deal with this error message when burning DVD's: The disc can't be burned, because the device failed to calibrate the laser power level for this media.

I am getting this error message when trying to burn a DVD: The disc can’t be burned, because the device failed to calibrate the laser power level for this media. iMac, Mac OS X 10.6.8 Memorex DVD-R 12x Any ideas?

First, try a different batch of recordable DVDs. If you still have problems, you may want to make an appointment at the genius bar and have it checked. The drive may be failing.

  • Multiple Error message at Item Level....

    Hi all,
I have some doubt into display multiple error message from item level.
The scenario is, I have to run some validation at each line item. If validation fails error message is population. Now suppose user ignore the error message or with that error user creating new line item and again because of validation some error occurs, then both error message should display all together but system is displaying only last message not previous one. This is happening with both the classes CL_BSP_WD_MESSAGE_SERVICE' and CL_CRM_GENIL_GLOBAL_MESS_CONT.
But if I check same thing with standard validation all error message display all together.
Any suggestion through which I can combined all message and display together.
    Thanks
    Gaurav

Yes.I have tried ADD_MESSAGE method of the CL_BSP_WD_MESSAGE_SERVICE class.
    Thanks

  • FI Validation rule error message problem at line item level

    Hello all.
I have created a step within an FI Validation rule (OB28) at the document line item level.  I have set the  message to "E" for an error.  I have generated the validations.  When I test my step, the error is triggered, but triggered as an Information popup - warning and does not give me a hard stop.   Does anyone have an idea why this may happen?   I need this to be a hard stop but not a cancellation of the document entry.  I am using FV60 to enter my document.
    Thanks for help.
    mvp0821

OSS note # 863267 explains answer.  Cannot create "error" message on ENJOY transactions - FV60 is included in this list.  "E" works on classic transactions.
    Thanks for thinking about this.

  • Do we see an Error Message at the Spreadsheet Level?

    My Interface is a Table - PA_TRANSACTION_INTERFACE_ALL
I am using Oracle Standard Importer to pick data from PA_TRANSACTION_INTERFACE_ALL and load to PA base tables. I have defined Error setups as below. My expectation is, if there is any validation failure during the Importer process, the Error Message will be Displayed to the User at the Spreadsheet level itself (Experts, request to correct my understanding here)
    Error Row Definition -
    SELECT * FROM PA_TRANSACTION_INTERFACE_ALL WHERE TRANSACTION_STATUS_CODE = 'R' AND BATCH_NAME = $param$.BATCH_NAME
The value for the Batch Name is got from Source - IMPORT and Value - PA_TRANSACTION_INTERFACE_ALL.BATCH_NAME
    Error Message Setup
    SELECT MEANING FROM FND_LOOKUP_VALUES WHERE LOOKUP_CODE = $param$.TRANSACTION_REJECTION_CODE
The value for the Transaction Rejection code is got from the Source - INTERFACE and Value - PA_TRANSACTION_INTERFACE_ALL.TRANSACTION_REJECTION_CODE
My setups seems to be correct in all respects. Now, i perform the testing as follows -
I uploaded a data which would fail validations during Import. My expectation is - The Error Message (specific to the validation) should be displayed to the User. But it does not happen. Instead it shows the standard message (like no of rows uploaded successfully)
Is there some configuration missing. Some valuable input required. we have already applied patch Patch 9790225: Oracle Web Applications Desktop Integrator 12.1.3 Release Update Patchset 1
