Hai,
Selecting periodic in dimesnion measures in report gives JAN month value same for YTD and PERIODIC.
Is there any option to show JAN month For the Month value connecting to DEC month.
Please do help me on this issue.

We being new to SAP BPC v 10 are stuggling to find the standard Audit trail reports which were present in version 7.
Can any body guide us with the roadmap by which we can see those standard Audit trail reports in version 10.

Dear All,
I uploaded datafile succssfully. And i am displaying uploaded data in BPC-Web---->Darg & Drop report.
But When i am trying to dispaly my uploaded data in BPC-Execel-->Reporting & Analysis->Bulid a report using dynamic template
my budget items are disaplying but amounts are not diaplaying.

Report with SAP BPC MS Hierarchy

We are using BO Web Intelligence in order to create reports with SAP BPC 10 Microsoft version data.
We have a requirement were we need to create this reports with hierarchies created at BPC level. However when we use this hierarchies, technical names are always showed attached to descritions (please see attached file).
What we want is to change the following:
- at this moment we have "VN_FACT - Facturação", that represents ID concatenated with " - " and Description;
- we want that only shows Description but with plus sign of hierarchy.
How can we achieve this?

MemberSet parametres in an EvDRE report/schedule (SAP BPC NW 7.5, SP03)

I'm struggling combining MemberSet keywords and filtering values in an EvDRE schedule/report. The aim is to create an input schedule (or report) based on a hierarchy, but where a number of the dimension members are excluded (filtered). Below a brief, manipulated, expected result (bolded items are Parent nodes to members):
ENTITY:1000
Sales (3,000.00)
Sales (3,000.00)
COGS 1,800.00
Cogs 1,800.00
Royalties 300.00
Revaluation of inventory
Gross Profit Reductions 300.00
Gross Profit Sales (900.00)
I can easily generate a flat list of members, correctly filtered (but useless), and also a correct filtered report including the appropriate nodes (but with the parents sitting before the members) . The problem occur when trying to include ParentAfter, which only works together with either ALL or MEMBERS and when they are included, the filtering doesn't work!
Any suggestings on how to compose a MemberSet string, where both ParentAfter and filtering works?

We are new to BPC. We would like to know where do we need to develope the reports on BPC data. Can some one help me on this. If some one have any best practices or options that where we can develope the reports, pls let me know
Like we can do reporting directly on BPC with only couple of reports from BW/BOBJ or all reports from BW/BOBJ.
Here we are planning to use BW as warehouse solution and BOBJ tools for reporitng on BW data.

BPC is a planning & a reporting tool. It can also be used for Consolidation. As mentioned in the previous reply, the data in BW has to be made available in BPC Application (cube) to be able to report it out.
You might need to create transformation files and conversions files between your BW cubes and the BPC cubes to realise the data transfer to BPC application (cube). Note, BPC cubes are automatically generated when you create an application from the BPC front end.
Please refer to some good introductory blogs available on SDN to get to know the BPC terminology and BW terms. Then BPC has an reporting tool in itself. You can create reporting using EVDRE for example which displays the data landed in BPC cubes. This typically will have actual data (loaded from BW), plan data (planned through Input Schedules or flat file data loads).

EPM ADD in problem in refreshing the report in SAP BPC 10.0 NW

In my report , i have dynamic local members ,EPM Copy range ,and context based filters as well as excel filters based on local members .
While refreshing the report the , the system is unable to refresh properly .If context is changed in the report the context member is getting fixed instead of dynamically changing.
I am using - Version 10.0 SP 14 Patch 3 .net 3.5

Analyzer Security for SAP BPC 7.5 SP6
Hi ,
We have recently installed Analyzer add-in on our excel for Adhoc reporting on SAP BPC 7.5 SP6
But analyzer is not considering the data security restricted for specific region.
For eg: If a planner is assinged to EUROPE planning role and when he creates reports using analyzer he is able to see the data for all the regions(NA,EMEA,ASIAPAC).
Is there anyway we can restrict the planners to see the data relevant to their role in Analyzer.
we had a look at security in Admin client. Is there anyway to handle this.Thanks much.

You can use Bex analyzer for detailed reporting. Both the analyzer and BPC reports can be connected using the normal excel functionalities (in a single excel workbook) so that BPC CV selection will be fed into Bex as variables and relevant data records are displayed in Bex reports. Performance of Bex analyzer is slow. That is one of the main reason it was replaced with BO reporting tools.
If you are using BPC 7.5NW, then there is a standard functionality called DRILL THROUGH. Using this functionality you can drill down to detailed data in BW.
Bex and BPC have different authorizations. You can maintain authorizations in BW roles and try to manually replicate same authorizations in BPC (there is also a how-to doc on automating this synchronization). -

But before going to that I need to know what are the other platforms knowledge is required and what are the pre requisites are there.
1) Does it require SAP BO Knowledge?
2) Does it require SAP BCS knowledge?
3) Does it require MS-Excel knowledge (Like writing macros and complex formulas)
4) Does it require Finance knowledge?
Please let us know if anything is required to learn it.

More into application side or more into technical side.
Any way I will try to provide some general answer to your questions
1.No you don't need SAP BPO knowledge
2.No you don't need SAP BCS knowledge
3. Yes you need Excel knowledge but not necessary to build Macro. Usually you have to be able to pass the certifcation for User Microsoft Excel (which doesn't include anything regarding Macro or VB code).
Having good knowledge about Excel you will be able to build easier the reports with SAP BPC.
4. Yes if you woudl like to do consolidations or any application where you have to understand financial processes.

Issue in the Reporting feature of SAP BPC NW 7.0
Hi everyone,
I am facing an issue with respect to the Reporting feature in SAP BPC NW 7.0 version. I am supposed to generate a P&L report using the EVDRE function.
Issue-
In the report that I have generated, the system is retrieving only a subset of the broad-level P&L heads. e.g. while BPC is retrieving the EBITDA, EBIT and PAT figures, it is not retrieving the Depreciation, Interest and Tax figures in the report. All the members that are not getting displayed are members with ACCTYPE= 'EXP', while the ones getting displayed are members with ACCTYPE= 'INC'.
Even though the 'EXP' figures are not getting displayed, the amounts are getting deducted correctly. (i.e. even though Interest amount is not getting displayed in the report, the PBT figure being displayed is correctly calculated as PBT= EBIT-Interest).
Also, I am able to see the amount in Interest payments, if I drill to the base-member elements (G/Ls in my case)
Would really appreciate if someone could shed some light on what might be the probable issue.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I suppose, I was not very clear about my problem. The issue is with regards to the value for the Account-dimension members with ACCTYPE = 'EXP' and not with the members per se.
Setting the MemberSet Filter addresses the issue of getting particular Dimension members in the report. In my case, I am already seeing all the necessary members in my report (I have explicitly created a list of all the members I want to see in my report in the MemberSet parameter). However, I am not able to see any values for these members for any of the time periods (even though the values exist).
Also, I don't get any values for some of the INC items as well (e.g. OperationsIncome) inspite of the fact that the base member G/Ls under this account hold values.
Would appreciate any help towards resolving this issue.

VBA problem with SAP BPC report

I have an EVDRE() SAP BPC report where one of the member id selection is derived using a VBA script. The problem I'm having is when I click on expand and refresh icon, the member id changes to #Value and the expansion and refresh fails as #Value is not a member id.
I would really appreciate any help on understanding why on expansion my VBA selected member id is replaced with #Value and how I can fix this if that is possible.

Just to clarify we are on SAP BPC version 5.1
How it was resolved....
We had to use BEFORE_EXPAND as advised and also fix the calculation reference and finally also use AFTER_REFRESH.
We used VBA code to remember the dropdown lists option
and
copy the calculated member id into the pagekey dimension cell.
The AFTER_REFRESH restored the dropdown list option selected.
Not sure if the code is helpful but this is what we used....

MDX Statement error in sap bpc 10.1 admin when opening a report
I have restored a previously created environment that was built on the sap bpc 10.1 platform and am receiving the following errors when accessing my reports and clicking refresh. I also received an error when restoring the environment that says "Error occurred in expanding member formula". I don't believe these would be related but I am unable to access the member formulas in the model. I am however able to access all dimensions, etc. I am not able to create any new reports though. Any ideas on a solution.

The error you're getting in BPC 10.1 is because the environments were migrated from BPC 10.0 or older version using transaction UJBR and it was not migrated to 10.1 after the restore.
SAP Note 2052538 provides resolution for this. Please follow the instructions of Upgrade Guide for BPC NW 10.1:
Execute migration program UJT_MIGRATE_100_TO_101 to migrate 10.0 data to 10.1 if the restored environment was backed up from a BPC NW 10.0 system
Execute migration program UJT_MIGRATE_75_TO_101 to migrate 7.5 data to 10.1 if the restored environment was backed up from a BPC NW 7.5 system

Opening SAP BPC report on server from Dashboard 4.0
I would like to know if it is possible to open SAP BPC report/excel on server from dashboard. We should have it embeded in dashboard so that if we click on dashboard....then it should take to the underlying BPC report on server.
If it is possible the please share the ideas and process.

We can get BPC data to Dashboard using EPM add in/Extended Analyzer depending on BPC version.But going directly to BPC report from Dashboard is not possible.

SAP BPC 7.5 SP3 and Citrix Entering Data through BPC Client and Citrix
Hello BPC experts,
my client is using SAP BPC 7.5 SP3 in combination with Citrix. We are having problems now, while entering data through the BPC Client (installed on BPC Server) and the BPC Client (running on Citrix).
When we enter data through the BPC Client (Server) and expand the sheet, we can only see the data that we entered through the BPC client (Server). When entering data through the BPC Client (Citrix), we can see only the data we enter through the BPC Client (Citrix).
The database, however, saves both entries correctly. For test purposes we created a test report which shows both entries correctly in the BPC Client on the server and on Citrix.
Does anyone have an idea what can be wrong with our system? We tried to create an EvDRE log File for this BPC version as well, but failed. Maybe one of you already did that and can help me with this.

I need your inputs regarding Extended Analytic Analyzer add ins.
I installed the SAP Business Object Extended Analytic Analyzer hoping to integrate the Xcelsius in SAP BPC MS 7.5
I am following the HTG to integrate but got lost.
In EPM connector steps, I cannot find the option from OPERATION TYPE: Retrieve data using Analyzer Report.
The only options available under operation type are

Im wondering if there are different version of the epm connector? Was my EPM connector differs from the HTG?
And also in Excel under Extended Analytic Analyzer, the function =GETREPORTDEFINITION() is missing

yajepeIt seems a very good oportunity to use FIM.
FIM was designed especially for exchange data betweeen different SAP product.
FIM will provide an easy way to do the conversion using wizards and also will assure you about data inetgrity and quality.
This will be the way forward but more details has to be define during the implementation.
