  • Media not copying into event when drag and dropped

    When I add media files into an event by dragging and dropping the file into the project the file does not get moved/copied 'Macintosh's HD Projects' folder.
    Is there a setting somewhere I can change so dragging and dropping behaves the same way as when I use CMD+I to import a file?
    I am using the most up-to-date version of FCPX in Mavericks.

    How are you determining this? And what version are you using? Media doesn't get copied to project folders; it get copied to Original Media sub folders in event folders. Or it gets left in its original location with aliases pointing to the actual media.
    If you're using 10.1, try dragging to the single-star event icon in the Library list pane and then look inside Original Media..

  • Drag and Drop - Application not responding

    Hello,
    I have a problem regarding Drag and Drop in Mavericks (but probably all versions):
    This is especially concerning Drag and Drop from Mail or Microsoft Outlook to another application (in this case a Java Application).
    I know that it's only possible to drag mails to the desktop, where they are saved as an eml file.
    My idea was to use the Drag and Drop mechanism as a trigger for calling an Apple Script (out of my Java Application) which saves the selected mail(s) as eml, for my application later picking them up in an defined folder. Basically this works just fine BUT Mail as well as Outlook does not respond to the tell statement of my Apple Script until the dragged mail snaps back to the source application after about 20 seconds. While the Apple Script waits for the mail application to respond, both applications (mail application as well as my own application) show "Application not responding" in dock.
    Does anybody have an idea how I can get the mail applications get to respond earlier? Probably a second instance, killing of the drag/drop event or anything else?
    Regards
    Benjamin

    Hi
    I am also facing the same problem. Did u find any solution for this problem. If yes, can u post the solution.
    Thanx.

  • Problem with drag and drop application windows from one workspace to another

    I work with multiple desktops (Spaces) and before I freely dragged the mouse a window from one space to another, now the mouse rests on the edge of space and the application does not become the next space. What am I doing wrong or where this option is set?

    After the publication of the problem has disappeared, the window is dragged. Miracle! )

    * Flash Builder 4.5.1(updater) or Flash Builder 4.6
    - If you have installed on pc, does not work adobe air drag and drop
    [Solution]
    1. Reinstalling the Windows 7 (32bit).
    2. Install Flash Builder 4.5.
    3. Flash Builder 4.5.1 updater and Flash Builder 4.6 does not install.
       (Instead of using Flex SDK 4.6 is set up)
    In addition, Windows7 64bit environment does not work drag and drop.
    Is there another solution?

  • Drag and Drop fails with JDK 7u6 in Linux

    Hi,
    I'm face with a strange bug on JavaFX 2.2 (JDK 7u6, Ubuntu 12); I implemented drag & drop feature of labels in a stage; first time, I open the stage, the drag & drop works well; when I close the stage and reopen it, it fails : I can drag the label but I cannot drop it on the target (the target events are not fired); I can reproduce the bug easily with the class below, you have just to instantiate the class TestDragAndDrop in an application class.
    On window 7, it works well, I cannot reproduce the bug.
    Thank you for your help,
    David

    DUUUUUUUDE! IT'S WORKING NOW!!!!
    When you originally asked, "What happens if you click on an image and move it to another folder?", I didn't really understand what you were talking about because I almost never have my workspace set up in a way that the folders are showing. I always hide them. So I didn't really understand what you were saying. Just a few minutes ago, I realized that that is what you were asking so I opened up the folder area and tried dragging thumbs into different folders and saw that it does work.
    So then, because of you mentioning that blue line and me know that I did see the blue line on occasion. I went back over into the thumbnails to find out if I always got the blue line or if it was a hit or miss thing. I couldn't believe my eyes when all of the sudden I saw that I no longer was getting that circle with the line through it, and low and behold, the thumbnail dropped right into position like it is supposed to!!!!
    The thing is, I don't know what I've learned from this. I thought, "well, what is different?" The only thing that I can think of is that I now have the folders showing in my workspace so I wondered if that was the secret but I just now hid the folders again like I usually do and the drag and drop into position is STILL WORKING!!!
    All I can figure is that somehow, dragging and dropping a thumbnail into a folder like that for the first time, triggered something so that I can now drag and drop among the thumbnail positions? Not sure. All I know is that for some reason, IT'S WORKING NOW!
    Now, for the second important part, I wonder if I drag and drop everything into the order that I want and then select all of the files and drag them into a new folder, will they stay in that order? I need to go experiment with that.
    If you hadn't kept at it and in turn had me keep trying stuff, it would have never happened because I had pretty much given up.
    Thanks Curt!
    You da man!!!

  • Reordering of rows - issue with drag and drop of editable columns in table

    JDeveloper: 11.1.1.6.0
    ADF Faces - Drag and Drop for reordering of rows within the same af:table
    I have a requirement for reordering rows in a table using drag and drop. This table is loaded using a list and I am able to programmatically do the reordering of the rows based on the events of drag and drop by manipulating the list. Reordering of rows is working fine if all the columns are read only. For all the input text and input date columns the values are not getting reordered. Anyone has any idea on what the issue may be with reordering of the rows for editable columns/rows (af:inputText and af:inputDate) in af:table. Below is what Iam doing on drop event which is a collection drop target.
    public DnDAction dropCollection(DropEvent dropEvent) {
    try
    Object dropSite = dropEvent.getDropSite();
    Transferable transferable = dropEvent.getTransferable();
    DataFlavor<RowKeySet> rowKeySetFlavor = DataFlavor.getDataFlavor(RowKeySet.class, "rowmove");
    RowKeySet rowKeySet = transferable.getData(rowKeySetFlavor);
    RichTable table = (RichTable) dropEvent.getDragComponent();
    if (rowKeySet != null)
    CollectionModel dragModel = transferable.getData(CollectionModel.class);
    Object dragM = dragModel.getRowData(0);
    Object currKey = rowKeySet.iterator().next();
    dragModel.setRowKey(currKey);
    table.setRowKey(currKey);
    OrderData orderData = (OrderData)this.prodReportTableData.get(Integer.parseInt(currKey.toString()));
    this.prodReportTableData.remove(Integer.parseInt(currKey.toString()));
    this.prodReportTableData.add(Integer.parseInt(dropSite.toString()), orderData);
    OrderData orderDataAdded = this.prodReportTableData.get(Integer.parseInt(dropSite.toString()));
    JSFUtils.addPartialTarget(this.getProdReportTableBinding());
    catch(Exception e)
    e.printStackTrace();
    return DnDAction.MOVE;
    Code snippet from UI:
    <af:table value="#{pageFlowScope.prodReportBackingBean.prodReportTableData}"
    var="row" styleClass="AFStretchWidth" rowBandingInterval="0"
    rows="40" emptyText="No data to display." id="t1"

    <af:collectionDropTarget dropListener="#{pageFlowScope.prodReportBackingBean.dropCollection}"

    Hi,
    not sure its the reason but you have huge bummer in your configuration.

  • Trying to run an older perl drag-and-drop program

    At work we have a perl program that does a wonderful job of transforming a pre-edited (with tags) text file into an html document ready for the web including lots of external references to technical journals.
    This was written eight or nine years ago in the Mac Classic days. There are three files. One is called formatter9. This has a camel icon with a circle with a line through it.
    Then there is one called formatter9.pl and one called f9.template. The template is referenced in the formatter9.pl. I go into formatter9.pl and change the month each time before we use it at least 40 or 50 times during the course of a week.
    This drag and drop application worked fine with Classic OS 9 loaded on PPC Macs, but not on Intel Macs.
    I am able to run it on an Intel Mac with OS X 10.5 in terminal with an input file (called, for example, filename.txt) by entering:
    perl formatter9.pl filename.txt
    It would be nice to get this to work as a drag-and-drop in OS X, though. I've picked up a perl book, but it's new to me and I don't work with any techies.
    My thought is that it might be as simple as changing the first few lines of code in the perl script. They are:
    use strict;
    my $isDroplet = 0; # 0=false, 1=true # use droplet for filter to be used by cgi
    my $DEBUG = 1;
    my $template = "f9.template";
    my ($inText) = @ARGV; #$isDroplet?@ARGV:("something-esp.txt");
    Would someone know if there might be a simple change to this code to make it work in OS X? If not, where else might I go to look for an answer?

    Wait a minute. You are editing the script 40 or 50 times each week? Instead of worrying about making it drag and drop, change the code to accept a month as a parameter. Then just run it from the terminal with two parameters. Then use Automator to make it drag and drop and prompt the user for a month to select.

  • Drag and Drop Apps to and from Dock, doesn't work for one account?

    Hi there,
    I have 2 accounts on my Macbook, one of them is my main account which is admin and nothing is wrong with it. The second account though is also admin but I cannot drag and drop applications to and from the dock. I can open the program, hold left click down till it pops up with options and in which you can untick Keep in Dock. Which would be fine but as soon as the computer restarts or I log out then in again, the application reappears. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.
    Note that I have deleted both plist files from library/preferences and I have also enabled parental controls and ticked the allow users to modify the dock option. I also tried downloading Onyx and setting it up through there but it was a no go. Anyway, if anyone has any idea then that would be awesome.
    Cheers

    Ok, you can drag applications from your Applications and Utilities Folders to make a "alias" (aka shortcut) in the Dock, but if you drag the icon off and drop it, it "poof's" away as your deleting the alias. The program itself isn't in the Dock at all at any time.

    Right, when you run a program from where ever, it places a alias icon in the Dock, which you then right click and choose to keep the alias in the Dock which survives reboots and logouts/in as normal.
    If you right click and choose "open at log-in" the program will automatically run when you restart or log back into the account.

    I don't see any problem, other than your not knowing the icons in the Dock are aliases.
    You should set the same user controls and preferences on the second admin as the first and your problems should disappear.
    OnyX is a great program, I recommend it highly, but I don't see it fixing your problem in this case. Unless there is something your not being clear on.

  • Flash Proffession CC 2014 HTML5 Canvas drag and drop not working

    Hi,
    I am making drag and drop in Flash professional CC 2014 using canvas and it is working fine on desktop but same when I am testing in Android tablet it is not working.  Can any one please advise how to make drag and drop application from Flash CC 2014 which will work on both web/pc desktop HTML5 canvas and all android devices.
    Thanks

    I just discovered something.  What I meant above is that I cannot drag and drop files from the "Media Browser" panel.  Surely that should be possible.  After all, that is how you browse your music files.  If I first double click a file in the browser so that it opens in the "Files" panel, I can then drag and drop files from there.  That is ridiculously tedious however because that opens the wave file and closes the "CD Layout" panel.  I then have to reopen the "CD Layout" panel before I can drag and drop a file.  I'm pretty sure you should be able to simply drag and drop from the Media Browser.  Any comments from Adobe?

  • Can NOT drag and drop to combine Events

    I've combined Events zillions of times in iPhoto and drag-'n-drop in Aperture 3 also. Today, when I tried to drag one Event into another, it didn't work. It didn't 'release' into the new event when I let go of the mouse button. I restarted iPhoto - same problem. Rebooted my MBP, same problem.
    Tried to drag and drop a new photo into my Photostream (from Aperture this time) and the same problem. I click to drag, move the event, and then it appears 'ghosted' and will not release.
    I even went into my Sys Prefs to see if it was my mouse, but that looked OK, and I could not replicate this problems in other applications.
    I'd love to know why it does this (did I inadvertently check something somewhere) but more importantly, how do I fix this?
    Oh yes - I got an error message the first few time about repairing iPhoto, which I let it do - took about 10 minutes, and I've never seen that before in iPhoto. (Aperture, yes, a LOT...)
    Oh yes - I can 'Merge Events' from the Menu - that works, but seems cumbersome and the drag-and-drop has worked fine until today...
    I am stumpped...
    Thanks!
    Greg

    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
    This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Implement Drag and drop functionality in my application

    I want to drag image from one UIImageView to other UIImageView.
    Is there any event handle to this drag and drop functionality.
    Any one have different idea to handle this. than please reply.
    Any coding idea related to this?

    it is possible but u have to write some advance code to handle plz mention ur Forms version and other info
    Forms 10g and above possible with Java beans
    Forms 6i there is a demo in forms online help ........ Search DRAG
    To enable drag and drop on an item:
    1     Attach the PL/SQL library DRAG.PLL, which contains the  Mouse package, to your module.
    2     Create a WHEN-MOUSE-DOWN trigger on each item that can be dragged.  From this trigger, call the Click routine from the Mouse package.
    3     Create a WHEN-MOUSE-MOVE trigger on each item that can be dragged.  From this trigger, call the Move routine from the Mouse package.
    4     Create a WHEN-MOUSE-UP trigger on each item that can be dragged.  In this trigger, write your application specific code.Baig

  • Dragging and Dropping in iPhoto Events

    Hi
    When I try to drag and drop an event into another (mergin events) the event I try and move doesn't merge and the thumbnail changes to a mosaic preview - 9 photos minimized on the thumbnail - the only way I can merge is to select two events and then use merge button.
    Has anyone else experienced this and if so is there a way to fix it - it would seem much easier to be able to drag and drop. My macbook works both ways but my iMac is the one causing the problem?

    Are you able to drag individual photos to the desktop to into other events or an album? When you select an Event or photo and try to drag do you get a green dot with the number of photo in the Event so show? If not then open Font Book and make sure you have the Helvetica font. If it's there make sure it's activated. If it is, deactivate and then reactivate it. See if that won't jump start the dragging.
    Do you Twango?
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • ITunes 10: Drag and Drop to Third Party Applications

    Hello folks - I looked around for an answer to this question but I found none. I DJ events quite frequently and I use Roxio Toast to burn CD's of the sets of music I will be playing. Up through versio 9.1 of iTunes, I was able to drag and drop individual songs straight from iTunes to Toast but beginning with 9.2, I was unable to drag and drop from iTunes to any other 3rd party application. This ability is critical for what I do.
    Fortunately, I had a backup of iTunes 9.1 so I went back to that version and I've ben following these discussions lookng for some resolution to this problem.
    Now we have iTunes 10. I'm looking at it with some trepidation... has this problem been solved in iTunes 10? Has it even been addressed?
    Thanks to any kind soul who can give me an answer.
    Thanks so much,
    Anthony

    By re-arranging the windows, this appears to work.
    i.e. left window to right window.
