Ever since I downloaded the Safari update, I can't open it anymore

I'm using a Powerbook G4, OS 10.4.11
As the title says, I downloaded the latest Safari security update, and since then, Safari won't work for me at all. Every time I try to open it, the icon will bounce in the dock for awhile, then I get the error message saying it crashed.
What's up with that?

Would it help to post the crash log?

I have some issues since I download the safari update

I have some problem with the safari update. When I open my computer (MacBook pro), safari open but I can't see the web page. the only thing that make the web page open is when I do this: I go in (french) Preference system / réseau / assistant / diagnostique.
My internet connection work fine.

Please test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes.
Step 1
Take the applicable steps in this support article. The Wireless Diagnostics program generates a large file of information about your system, which would be used by Apple Engineering in case of a support incident. Don't post the contents here.
Be sure to test on more than one Wi-Fi network, if at all possible. A desktop computer can be tested with a mobile hotspot, such as the hotspot created by a cell phone. If the problem only exists on one network, then the access point of that network should be the focus of your attention, not the computer.
Step 2
Disconnect all USB 3 devices. If you don't know which are USB 3, disconnect all USB devices except keyboard and mouse.
Step 3
If you're not using a wireless keyboard or trackpad, disable Bluetooth by selecting Turn Bluetooth Off from the menu with the Bluetooth icon. If you don't have that menu, open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and check the box marked Show Bluetooth in menu bar. Test. If you find that Wi-Fi works better with Bluetooth disabled, you should use the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band. Your router may not support it; in that case, you need a new router.
Step 4
Open the Energy Saver pane in System Preferences and unlock the settings, if necessary. Select the Power Adapter tab, if there is one. Uncheck the box marked
Wake for Wi-Fi network access
if it's checked.
Step 5
Open the Network pane in System Preferences and make a note of your settings in the Wi-Fi service. It may be helpful to take screenshots of the various tabs in the preference pane. If the preference pane is locked, unlock it by clicking the padlock icon and entering your administrator password. Delete Wi-Fi from the service list on the left by selecting it and clicking the minus-sign button at the bottom. Then recreate the service by clicking the plus-sign button and following the prompts.
Step 6
In the Wi-Fi settings, select
Advanced... ▹ TCP/IP ▹ Configure IPv6: Link-local
Click OK and then Apply.
Step 7
Reset the System Management Controller.
Step 8
Reset the PRAM.
Step 9
Launch the Keychain Access application. Search for and delete all AirPort network password items that refer to the network. Make a note of the password first. Turn Wi-Fi off and then back on. You'll be prompted for the password when you reconnect. Save it in the keychain.
Step 10
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service center.

Ever since downloading the most recent firefox update, I have not been able to log in to my account at my college's website. I just get error messages every time. Even when I went to the Computer Sciences person at the college, he couldn't figure it out either. I need to be able to use Firefox to log in there because I have to download pdf files from there and Firefox is the only browser that seems to let me do that. Yes, just made sure of that. I do have the latest version of Flash player. But I have just staggered upon the answer. Chalk it up to being a newbi. I was not putting my apple tv to sleep and it would not allow me to see

I can't burn cd's using my writemaster external CD drive. I can't use the one inside the computer because it's a piece of crap and burned out months ago. The malfunction happens when I launch the Safari application. How do I fix this? Is there a way to undo a software update?

Try rebooting into Safe Mode, this will clear some caches. I'm thinking one or more may have become corrupt. Have you done any basic troubleshooting such as removing he MTP's batteries and restarting it or restarting the computer or anything else?
Also PLEASE use the Profile Update , otherwise we cannot tell anything about your system which makes it extremely difficult to troubleshoot.

Basic troubleshooting steps.
Quit the videos app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or - Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Or try this - Swipe to the right from your first home screen to get to the iPad Spotlight search. Type in the name of any of your movies in the field at the top. When the movie appears in the search - tap on it and it should start to play. Let it play for a minute or so - hit done - go back to videos app and see if all is OK.
Or - Check Settings>General>Restrictions and see if you have content restricted that is preventing you from watching the movies.
If your problem is of a different nature, please describe it.

I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. ever since I downloaded the newest version of Firefox, my Dragon NaturallySpeaking hasn't been working very well. For example, I will say "click register" or "click contact us" to select links and buttons on websites. Before this worked fine, but now it hardly works at all, which makes me think that because I am using a Dragon NaturallySpeaking program from 2007 or 2008, that it just doesn't know how to handle a program like Mozilla Firefox six that was written after its time. Or maybe it's the operating system? I was running an older version of Mozilla on Windows XP and now I am on Microsoft's seven.
What I want to try is to download an older version of Mozilla Firefox to see if the problems go away. I don't know if that would mean I would use Mozilla five or four, but I would like to try both. A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
