Every value of an InfoObject as input for a customer exit in Query

Hi,
I have a Query which shows a contract number in rows and an amount in columns. Now I want an additional key figure in columns which should be filled through a customer exit. This exit should read from another DSO an additional amount for every contract number (that means every contract number per row should be used as input for the where statement of the DSO select).
Can anyone tell me if this is possible and which is the best way to realize this?

you cannot have customer exit for such requirement
then use virtual KF concept

Customer Exit with offset as input to other Customer Exit variable?

Hi Experts
I have a query which uses a Customer Exit variable "A" with an offset. My problem is then that I would like to use the outcome of "A"+offset as input for another Customer Exit variable "B" in the same query.
Is this possible somehow?
Summing up by example:
Lets say that A return 001 and the offset is 3, then we got the value 4.
Can I somehow get this value (4) and use it in another Customer Exit variable in the same query?

I have 12 rows in a query. One for each month.
Each row is restricted on cust exit A and cust exit B.
A has an offset - the offset is the number of the month, which means 1 for January, 2 for february and so on. Cust exit A returns 001. So the value for Januar is 002, February is 003 and so on.
In cust exit B I need to get the result of cust exit A+offset. 002 for January, 003 for February and so on.
So, how do I get the A+offset for each row?

Code (ABAP) for the Customer Exit Variable (CMOD)

Scenario
An employee can purchase any no of policies in a day or month.each policy will have start date and expiry date.
My requirment
Count all the policies(valid) by employee on a ranges basis exception reporting
(0-10;10-20;20-30;30-40) and then able to drill down by policy start date and expiry date.
As per the requirment is to show policies that employee had with in the give date intreval which are not yet expired (active) i need to write a condition that will count only policies whose Expiry date is > Current calender day
As Policy Expiry Date is a char i am converting it to KF using fourmala variable so that i can write a condition on it using current cal day formula variable sap exit
Requirment:
Need a code for SAP exit variable which will meet the following requirment
There are the following 2 variables in the query
1) A variable (User Input)(Date Range) on Policy Start Date and
2) Authorisation Variable which is based on Authorisation Object(Analysis Authorisations)

You can find plenty of info on this in the forums, So i suggest you to do a small search with imp Key words. Anyways below is the std usage of I_STEP
I_STEP = 1
Call takes place directly before variable entry. Can be used to pre populate selection variables
I_STEP = 2
Call takes place directly after variable entry. This step is only started up when the same variable is not input ready and could not be filled at I_STEP=1.
I_STEP = 3 In this call, you can check the values of the variables. Triggering an exception (RAISE) causes the variable screen to appear once more. Afterwards, I_STEP=2 is also called again.
I_STEP = 0
The enhancement is not called from the variable screen. The call can come from the authorization check or from the Monitor. This is where you want to put the mod for populating the authorization object.

Looking for an ABAP-code for the customer-Exit Variable

I have defined a Variable (Interval) which should be processed through Customer-Exit on characteristic Supplier-Date (date format). This Customer-Exit Variable is called ZDATE.
We have another time characteristic Fiscal year / period (0FISCPER) which has single mandatory input variable for ex. 003.2011. This input variable is called ZFISCPER.
Now I have to write an ABAP-Code where the customer exit variable ZDATE is derived (fiscal last year to last period) from input variable ZFISCPER in INCLUDE ZXRSRU01.
Means when the input variable (ZFISCPER) is 003.2011 then the customer exit variable ZDATE should be calculated in INCLUDE ZXRSRU01 as 01.01.2010 u2013 28.02.2011 (fiscal last year to last period).
Since I am quite new in ABAP, I will be grateful if you could write me sample ABAP for this.

Query - Replacement Path for a Customer Exit Variable

New to the field and the board. Any and All help is greatly appreciated.
I have created a query which runs based on a date selection. The query have few customer exit variables whose values are set in ABAP. All Key Figures in the query are brought depending on the date ranges that each of the CE returns. Ex - one column is sales for first 10 days, 2nd for second 10 days, 3rd for first quarter, 4th for 2nd quarter and such. There are about 20 - 25 columns with KF in the query and all are Customer Exit date driven.
The challenge:- Each column heading should have the name of the month. I tried using Replacement Path. But it works when the selection is based on a constant value but not on value based on variable which is a customer exit. Ex - If I say restrict Cal/Month for July 2013, the replacement path for the Col Heading works fine. But if I say restrict Cal/Month for "ZVAR_SecondQtr_First_Month" the replacement path doesn't work.

In the text variable that you are using , i guess you have a replacement path. In this instead of using your characteristic for specifying how the value has to replace, use the variable option and give the variable name there

because we want to use the standard of SAP, we don't want to use a custom print programm for our quality-notifications. One of the print programms is "RQQMUD01". Are there spezific User/Customer Exits for the print programs of the quality-notifications. Or do we have to copy the original print program and make our modifications? Thanks.

How to capture user input for customer exit processing?

I need to calculate the number of working days elapsed in the current fiscal quarter BASED on the USER INPUT on the reporting front. i.e., say the fiscal quarter started on 1 July 2005 and if the user enters 10 July 2005, I should get the value 8 (Assume that Monday through Friday are all workdays). If the user enters 12 July 2005, I should get 10. I have written customer exits and know how to use factory calendar, but THE CHALLENGE is how do I CAPTURE the user input and use it in my exit? During the varible definition, if I select the check box "Ready for input" then the customer exit is not being processed and unless I check that box I can't get a user entry! If I look at the import values in the customer exit, I see i_t_var_range with type rrs0_t_var_range. My strong feeling is that this parameter gets the user input, but I am unable to use it as the customer exit is not being called if I make the user to input the data. Based on the empirical evidence, I felt that user input and customer exit can not co-exist!! Please somebody prove me wrong and let me know how can I use the user input to process my "customer-exit" variable. I would really appreciate any input from the BW community here.

In this typical user exit coding you have a user entered value in LOC_VAR_RANGE (originally in I_T_VAR_RANGE) and you construct your user exit variable value in E_T_RANGE.

How to pass the ObjectType as input for search Criteria

Issue with customer exit for copying one variable value to another

I need to copy the value of a single value variable into another single customer exit variable.
I coded as below.

Thanks for your immediate response Govind.
My report is restricted based on two dates. Date1 and Date2. Need to consider all records whose dates are <= Date1 and <= Date2.
Date1 and Date2 should have same values. But user inputs only Date1.
So, I created Date1 as Single, User Input Variable restricted the query with <=Date1.
Next I created Date2 as Single, Customer Exit Variable and restrcited the Query with <=Date2.
In CMOD I used the above code to assigne Date1 Value to Date2.
When I execute the report, say I give todays date in the report (Dec, 12, 2007). Date2 has to consider all the values <= Dec 12, 2007. But, in my case it is considering only Dec 12, 2007, but not the before dates.
So, Please help me in solving this problem.

How to create an user input variable for customer exit variable? - BW3.5

I have a requirement for the selection period of my reports. There are 3 possible reporting periods which should be user selectable:
1. Month: Current reporting month
2. Fiscal Year to Date
3. Project Year to Date
Here I need 2 variable to do these, 1 customer exit and 1 user input variable. I have created a variable customer exit to calculate all these requirement. But can any1 tell on how to create the user input variable for my customer exit? I need a user input variable with drop down list like below.
01-Current month
02- Fiscal Year to Date
03-Project Year to Date
I have create a new master data for this variable, but it's not working. What I need now is a standalone master data which do not need to link to any exiting records. Can any1 tell me how to create this?

Just go to the definition of the variable for which you have created a customer exit. There you will find a check box for "Ready for Input". Just tick that checkbox and the variable will be available as a selection variable in the reports selection screen.

Using variable values form parametrized URL in Customer Exit in i_step = 1

I call a parametrized URL to a Web Template that has a Query with the variable VAR1:

Then I try to access the value of VAR1 in i_step = 1 in the Customer Exit for BEx variables in order to determine the value for a customer exit variable VAR2:

 WITH KEY vnam = 'VAR1'.
 fl_var_range-sign = 'I'.

The problem is that VAR1 contains either the default values (if the variable is set to have default variables) or is empty (if there are no default variables defined). It does not retrieve the value in the URL in the Customer Exit, but displays it correctly in the variable screen.
Is there any way I can acces the URL parameter in the Customer Exit?

My goal was to have two variable screens. In the first a date is chosen and in the second a node of a time-dependant hierarchy is chosen. If one enters the date in the same screen as the hierarchy, the valid hierarchy for the date is not displayed.
I solved the problem now in following way:
1. Saving the value in SAP Memory as a parameter. The parameter has to be defined in SE80. A Dummy Web Template with a query on the same Infoprovider with just the two InfoObjects (Year/Month) displays a variable screen for Month/Year. In addition there is a Dummy Customer Exit variable that is needed in order to pass the variable values (month/year) into SAP Memory. Using JavaScript in the Dummy WebTemplate the second Web Template with the actual query is called without displaying anything else than the variable screen.

2. Retrieving the value from SAP Memory Before displaying the variable screen, the chosen date is retrieved from SAP Memory and used to set the date for a customer exit variable for the hierarchy validity date.
