EXC_BAD_ACCESS Timer release

I have seen another forum post saying that releasing nil objects is supposed to be safe. Why is it then that on multiple occasions I get EXCBADACCESS when releasing an invalidated timer in the dealloc method?

Yes, that's my point. I don't care if it's nil or not, because releasing a nil was said to be a safe procedure. So if the timer isn't nil, it gets released. If it is, then no problem, nothing should happen.
What is invalidate doing to the timer that makes releasing it afterward throw EXCBADACCESS?

    It seems for the production order type which you are using in CO01 has the order type dependent parameters where the check
    box  for product cost collector has been included (in the third tab - controlling).Check the setting in OPL8 for the production order
    type which you are using to create the production order and the plant combination.
    If it's included means you can remove this setting and try once again.

  • FOR ORACLE XML TEAM -- XML TOOLS BUG FIXING POLICY/RESPONSE TIME/RELEASE SCHEDULE

    The release of Oracle XML tools and utilities by Oracle XML team is a significant milestone and is definitely appreciated. However, as part of a large organization, some factors need to be clarified before using these utilities in production softwares.
    I have noticed that XML parsers and other utilities are now coming as part of other softwares like JDeveloper etc. Following are my questions to the Oracle XML team and urgent and prompt reply will be greatly appreciated.
    1. What is the XML tools support policy. Is it only OTN? Can we buy support? Are these utilities supported if large organizations have corporate server licenses. I have read at the XML site the XDK is fully and freely supported by Oracle Word Wide support. What does this mean?
    2. What is the release schedule for the XML tools?
    3. What is the response time?

    As you noted many of the Oracle XDK components are production. This means that if your company has an Oracle Server Support contract you will get the corresponding level of support for the production XDK components.
    If you don't have one, then OTN is your support resource. We will also have standalone support agreements in the future which you can purchase through the Oracle Store. The response time would be the same as for the server.
    There is not a specific release schedule for components on OTN as they have different development schedules.

  • Table Locks times release? Urgent Plz

    I am using 9i and concerned about the locks that my application obtains. Is it possible to release all the locks on a table that are opened and forgotten. i mean set a timeout for opened connection?

    I am locking the table from an application and the application might crash without commit or rollback.
    I have multiple threads running who will wait to get a lock on the table. If one thread crashes, i dont want the other threads to wait indefinitely. Ideally i would want the Lock to be released in 1 sec.

    I need to know how can i hide 'additional info' field in the release working time screen?
    I know i would use personalization but don't know the way to do that.

    In the time recording application, when you enter a record and click
    on review, the additional info columns shows the text. This works
    because the data is entered by the user and the entered record is
    mapped to additional info column.
    In time release application, all the records from database are retrieved
    and displayed. The user does not enter any data. Hence in this case it
    is not possible to map the records to text in the additional info
    column. The Error/Warning messages are displayed in the top of the list
    with detailed information. We feel the information displayed is
    sufficient for the user to take necessary action. Usually in the release
    application, there would be lots of records. Displaying text in both
    additional info column and also at the top of the list is not a feasible
    solution.
    Technically it would be difficult for us to change this behavior in the
    standard application.

  • New York Times app freezes my iPhone

    I'll scan the headlines and poke an article to read and, about a minute or two in, the downloading whirly starts whirling and my iPhone 3G is dead as a brick, often for as much as 3 to 5 minutes. I can do nothing (except click the power button to blank out the screen, but then I can't get it to wake up again). Once it's done whirling, the app closes without warning and I'm back at my main menu screen.
    This happens regardless of whether I am linked to my home wireless router or if I'm on the network (Edge in my neighborhood). It's been happening through at least one update of NYT AND iPhone firmware.
    I'm not alone in this. My wife has my old iPhone and it happens to her. Also, here's a rather poignant qvetch about it online:

    I used the NY Times app when released, and I experienced the same too often. NY Times released an update, which helped somewhat but not enough for me, so I deleted it. NY Times has not released an update for their app in a very long time.
    Such a problem is the responsibility of the NY Times They created the app, or a 3rd party did this for them, and they need an update to address their very slow update download issues at minimum - I don't use any other news apps that take so long to download updates as the NY Times app does, or did for me. I uninstalled what I consider a garbage app compared to other similar apps.

    I have activated PR release strategy at Header level.  There are about 4 levels of release are there.  In custom PR print program, I want to capture the details of all levels corresponding release dates.  Can you help me how I can go about it.

    Purchase Requisition Release Date
    Specifies the date on which the purchase order should be initiated on the basis of the purchase requisition.
    The release date is based on:
    The purchasing department processing time defined for the plant
    The planned delivery time from the material master record or purchasing info record
    The delivery date
    The goods receipt processing time from the material master record
    Note
    The planned delivery time from the purchasing info record and the GR processing time are only taken into account if the purchase requisition was generated via materials planning.

  • PR Release date in ME5A

    Hi,
    In ME5A (List Scope 'A'), system is showing PR Release date same as delivery date. E.g., If delivery date given in PR is 31.10.2009, then Release date is also showing as 31.10.2009.
    This is happening even for PRs which are not released.
    Can any one suggest the solution for this?

    Once MRP launch it should create the discrete job against item as zero onhand for that item but MRP workbench is showing planned order for the item instead of creating item.

  • Release strategy for Schedule Lines

    Hi,
    The requirement is MRP should not run for Line item unless it is released by an authorized user. Logically availability check has to happen at the time release of the requirement line for the consideration of realistic manufacturing time. Also, user should not be able to cancel the release, or edit the schedule line once Planned or Production Order is generated for the requirement line.
    What we want is a Release Strategy in sales order for each schedule line individually similar to PO Release.
    I have currently set up a status profile, which has 2 levels Processing and approved, which effectively block creation of DELIVERY doc, but I am unable to control the schedule line.
    Any ideas?

  • Release Tab getting deactivated when changing SRM GOA

    I have created GOA long back.I have also have release PO`s against that GOA. But now when I am trying to change any item level data like condtion or any other data and try to release it that time release tab gets gryed out.
    Does any one faced this issue in past...if so then please let me know the probable reason.

    The release button gets grayed out usually when the contract have some errors.
    It could be some problem related to your target value or target quantity. As per my understanding the target quanity/value at the header level always should be more than the release quantity at the line item level.
    Also please check the note numbers: 863656, 1082548
    which deals with similar issues.

  • Time Sheet Draft and submit

    I have configured Time recording along with a standard cats timesheet. The  the user wants to create his timesheet in draft version. I checked in SPRO configuration,is there any way to do it.
    In the actual configuration employee inserts his timesheet, checks his time data a final time, released his data that his transferred to his superior.
    is There any possibility to create the data in draft mode and then submit the request If required?

    you dont have such option with the standard functionality.you can use Save as template which will just save the att/abs type not the hours .

  • ORA 04030 Out of process memory error

    Dear experts,
    I know there are multiple discussions around this error and I have been reading through most of them in the past one week or so, but looks like we are running out of options or are missing the color altogether. Ok, we are getting ORA-04030 - out of process memory while allocating....while one of our batch process runs in the night. It simply tries to insert/update to a table. Our installation is 11.2.0.1.0 with no RAC configuration and on 64-bit AIX having 6 cores, 12 CPUs and 16 GB memory.
    We have checked the Workarea_Size_Policy is set to be as Auto so Oracle decides how much memory to allocate to PGA automatically on run-time based on the demand. And based on the AWR report it doesnt look like we are anywhere near the country having a PGA-deficit!! I am attaching the AWR report in a word document here for your reference.
    Also attached below are the configurations and the ulimit values.

    Unless your database is strictly a DSS-type of database, your AWR report exposes loads of issues with it. And I think none of the time during the AWR window was spent on database. Look at the DB time (with all those multi cores) compared with the elapsed time of the AWR.
    As you are on 11g, why not make use of MEMORY_TARGET (a single parameter to manage both SGA and PGA)? If you are already on it, ignore this as I can't see it anywhere. If not, get rid of SGA_TARGET and PGA_AGGREGATE_TARGET and replace it with a single MEMORY_TARGET parameter. However you may have a minimum threshold set for different SGA pools so that they won't shrink beyond that point.
    Having said that, setting MEMORY_TARGET is not a guarantee to avoid ORA-4030. Just a single bad PL/SQL code could go and exploit the untunable part of your process memory and even go and blow up the physical memory. If you are using FORALL and BULK load, see if you can cut it down into few chunks rather than running as a single process.

  • MacBook Air Mid-2013 Battery Draining FAST (about 5-6 hours at best)

    I have been having problems with my Mac's battery draining very fast even on light usage. Simply using Safari will drain my battery in 5 to 6 hours, when my laptop would last the stated 12+ hours before when browsing the internet. I followed these steps yesterday...
    Reset com.apple.finder.plist, com.apple.sidebarlists.plist and com.apple.desktop.plist
    - Open a new finder window
    - Choose Go > Go to folder. Your destination is ~/Library/Preferences
    - Locate com.apple.finder.plist and rename it to com.apple.finder_backup.plist
    - Locate com.apple.sidebarlists.plist and rename it tocom.apple.sidebarlists_backup.plist
    - Do the same for com.apple.desktop.plist. Note: This file was missing in my folder. If so: nevermind.
    - Open Terminal and type: killall Dock
    Reset your SMC:
    - shut down your system
    - plug in the magsafe
    - hold down shift+ctrl+alt+power for a second, then release. Your magsafe should blink
    - do this three times
    Reset PRAM:
    - turn on your mbp and hold down alt+cmd+p+r immediately
    - hold down the keys until you hear the startup sound the second time
    - release the keys and let the MBP boot.
    Give your system some time to adjust to the changes: after a while it should show you a much increased battery time.
    ...but to no avail, it didn't have any effect on my machine. I'm not sure what to do. :'( Activity monitor shows Safari as having a "10.7 average energy impact" (I don't know what that means in all honesty) and is the highest consumer on the list, with Dropbox being number two on the list saying the average is 1.9 at the moment. I quit background applications so I know that's not an issue — I don't know where to go from here. Also, my battery max/health is 6909 at 97% health, so I do know it's getting a near-full charge. I miss having 12+ hours of battery as that's what I bought this for. Should I go to the Genius Bar and see what they can do?

  • Playing recorded loops (they stay greyed out)

    When recording on a loop , it creates multiple recordings, and places it on a new track. I love this functionality! However only the last loop recorded lets me play it / hear it. How do I enable the other tracks so that i can hear them (ungrey them out / enable them). Much thanks in advance for any help!
