Excel Add-In login server dropdown list

We recently migrated to new servers. We are wanting to know the best way to remove the old servers that display in the login dialog. I have opened an SR and was told to edit the registry. I have removed one server name from the registry (My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hyperion Solutions\Essbase\Login) and the server name is still listed after closing Excel and rebooting.
If anyone knows how to remove servers from this dropdown, please let me know.

The cell is blank and has a drop down. Once you click the drop down, you will find the following

When you click "other," the field box now contains the text that reads " Enter a Specific Value." and you are able to add in whatever text you want in the field
That would be great if there was a way in LiveCycle to do something close to or exactly like this.

Add multiple entries to dropdown list without using data dictionary

Hi,
By default when we use a data dictionary element for dropdown list, all the possible values are listed in the dropdown. However when no data dictionary element is used for the dropdown list, it behaves like a parameter with a single line.
I would like to know if it is possible to not use the data dictionary element and still have multiple lines in the dropdown.

How To Populate Application Server Dropdown List In JCo Destination

Hi guys, I'm currently working on EP7 and just finished installing the ESS Business Package. The next step is to maintain the JCo Destinations in the Web Dynpro Console and here's where I got stuck. When I got to step 4.1 the field for the Application Server is a drop down list with no items in the list. How do you populate this list? Thanks in advance!

Details of my configuration:
1. Technical System type: Third-Party
2. Selected a previously created Technical System (Type: Third-Party)
3. The SWC and products were successfully added to the business system.
4. Business System Role: Application System
Problem:
No integration server is available in the drop-down for "Related Integration Server".
Is this normal? Did I do something wrong?

I would like to create a dropdown list in a pdf form without entering each value manually.

The data is huge and contains a a lot of product code numbers. It is extracted from our SAP system and I would like to either use an xml or excel file to create the dropdown list in the pdf form. I use Adobe Acrobat X.

This can be done with a script. XML files are more complex but Excel files, converted to a plain-text format, can be imported and then used to set the items list of a drop-down using the setItems() method.

How could I change the result of display like MDS webpage's Explorer in MDS excel add-in?
We want the dropdown only show Code in it without Name even do not display symbol of {}.

How to add a certificate to IIS global "Server Certificates" list using PowerShell?

Hi, been surfing the web for an example on how to add a certificate to the "global" IIS "Server Certificates" list using PowerShell but to no luck. I already have code in place on how to tie / associate a specific website with a specific cert but not how
to add the new .cer file using the "Complete Certificate Request..." wizard using PowerShell.... I dont expect the final code to become published but if someone had an idea on howto integrate / get an entry point on where to interact between the "Server Certificate"
list in IIS and POSH I would be super happy! :|
I am runnign IIS on a Windows 2008R2 x64 Standard Edition if that helps..... of course, I would saddle for an CLI if there is no other way, but POSH is of course the way to go! :)

Although it comes close, the suggested code example points on howto import / incorporate .pfx files - I am getting fed by .cer files which I need to add into the IIS console using POSH.
I tried explore the IIS.CertObj object but was not able to work out if this one could be used for importing / adding .cer files into IIS! However, launching the following command from a POSH console with Import-Module Webadministration already
loaded into that shell;
$certMgr = New-Object -ComObject IIS.CertObj returns the following error message:

More or less the one thing that I am trying to get up and running is an automated FTPS solution - I just use the IIS console to be able to troubleshoot / compare how things scripted from POSH interacts in the MMC representation. The error I am getting
might be that I am lacking some IIS components to be in place to be able to automate some parts of the IIS - as suggested by the IIS.CertObj object listed in the example..... I will get back if I can track down which component needs to be added to be
able to reference the IIS.CertObj object.

Add element in dropdown list dynamically

Hi All,
I am facing a problem in adding item in a dropdown list dynamically.
When i get dropdown list through IgetElementById get null.
var list = document.getElementById("targetgroupname");
here list comes as null. Now I've to fill this list. I am using below code -
for(var j=0;j< com.length;j++){
iist.options[j]= new Option(com[j],com[j]);
But it is not working. My list is not getting filled with these values.
I doubt due to var list -> null it does not allow to add element.
But I am not getting any clue, how to initialize it.
Please suggest, I am new to javascript.

Thanks for the reply, yes the select box has that id - targetgroupname.
actually there are 2 dropdown lists, Based on the selection of first dropdown list another list shd be filled.
So I've written a script at "onchange" of first dropdown list. It works fine when a value gets changed at first dropdown list.
In some cases I've to display a preselected value at first list ( which comes from previous page as parameter), in that cases there will be no onchange on first list, so I've called the script function manually after creating the first list,like below :
<SCRIPT> checkSource();</SCRIPT>
and in this case it does not work & I get a null when i try to read the 2nd list.
But I am not sure why it is happening.. may be it is not loaded /created on page when i am calling it.
If yes, what shd I do ?

Unable to add items to dropdown list using javascript

Hi,
I'm trying to add additional items to a dropdown list at runtime using javascript.
I'm doing this by invoking the addItem method on the dropdown list field during its initialize event.
However when I run the generated pdf in Acrobat Pro, I get the following error in the console -
GeneralError: Operation failed.
XFAObject.addItem:3:XFA:form1[0]:#subform[0]:field0[0]:initialize
Method: 'addItem' cannot be called because doing so would violate this document's permissions settings.
The pdf form has no signatures or any other stuff in it.
What additional permissions do I need to add and how ?

Is there a reason to use the code you did? It looks like the problem is with the variable's permissions when going through the template.
This code works just fine in that same event:
this.addItem("new item");
As does:

How to Add values to dropdown list in runtime

I wanted to add the items to the dropdown list in the plugin.
The SDK Example WriteFishPrice shows the items are hard coded in the .fr file.
i am looking for a similar concept, but not adding the items in the .fr file, i wanted to add the items in the .cpp or .h files and add the items to the dropdownlist.

Hope this will help you a bit with both threads ; ) I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish with defining the strings in an header or cpp file and not in the fr file(s). Usually you sort of predefine strings in the main fr file and then give a "final" translation definition for each string in the corrosponding language file. If you don't need or want to translate you can define string constants almost wherever you like and add them at runtime e.g. during dialog initialization. In this case you'd have to make each string not to be translateable with PMString.SetTranslatable(kFalse). If you want to add items to a listbox or text edit during runtime you just have to get the interfaces and call their methods. Below is a small example taken from a dialog with a dropdown listbox, a text edit field and a button widget. In the DialogObserver I implemented the Update function to the following functionality: - when the button (Insert Button) is pressed the content of the edit field is read and inserted into the listbox - when something in the listbox is selected, the selection is shown/inserted into the text field void VSPDialogObserver::Update ( const ClassID& theChange, ISubject* theSubject, const PMIID& protocol, void* changedBy ) { // Call the base class Update function so that default behavior will still occur (OK and Cancel buttons, etc.). Hi,
Expand the Attribute Period_type and double click on its GET_V method.
You will find following code line :
lr_ddlb->set_selection_table( me->job_wizard ).
Double click on the Set_selection_table method to open the method code.
You will find a LOOP.. ENDLOOP there. Here,to remove the values, comment out this LOOP- ENDLOOP.
and add following lines
         ls_ddlb-key   = 'Y'.
        ls_ddlb-value = 'Yearly'.
        APPEND ls_ddlb TO me->ddlb.
