Excel Addin login screen does not go away

Hi All,
I have a strange problem.
When I use the Essbase Menu in Excel to connect to the Essbase cubes, the login screen comes up and after all credentials are provided and the OK button is clicked all accessible cubes are displayed but after selecting a cube and clicking on OK the login portal does not go away.
It just stays there and the excel is not connected to the server.
Please let me know if anyone has faced such a problem before and have an suggestions, the version of Essbase excel Add-in is 9.2.1.
The Excel addin was un-installed and re-installed but the problem persists.
Regards,
Anindyo

That doesn't appear to be a US model, and this is the forums for Toshiba USA. You may want to contact Toshiba in your region.

  • Maverick update now my login screen does not work please help.

Hello hope you can help.  I have a 24 inch Mid 2007 Intel iMac.  It has been great until now.  I recently did the Maverick update and now my login screen does not work.  When I wake the computer up the screen appars with my picture icon.  When I click on it nothing happens.  If I click on it a second or third time the beach ball appears and nothing happens.  I have to shut the unit down with the power button and when the unit powers back up everything works normally.  Are there any suggestions out there?  I have updated the software without resolution. Is this computer too old?   Do I have to buy a new one?
    Thank you

Your iMac can support Mavericks according to the requirements > OS X Mavericks: System Requirements
Try a Safe Mode boot. That deletes some system caches that may help.
Startup your Mac in Safe Mode
A Safe Mode boot takes much longer than a normal boot so be patient.
Once you are in Safe Mode, click Restart from the Apple () menu.
See if there's an improvement for the login screen.

  • HT3867 I am connected to the hotel wifi network, but the login screen does not appear.

    Hi,
I am connected to my hotel wifi network, but the login screen does not appear. I am able to access the login page on my PC, but on the iPhone it does not appear and just tries to connect to the webpage (e.g. google.co.uk), and eventually gives up. I've tried opening pages in Safari and Chrome, but none cause the login screen to appear. I have also tried trying to log into the login page that the PC opens when connected to the wifi, but the same thing happens. I am using a iPhone 3G with the latest iOS version 6.0.1.
Is there a way to make the iPhone try to open the login page?
    Ben.

I have the exact same problem as the original poster and I tried many times already the solution proposed by trstark66 and it's still not working. It's not working for both my iPad and iPhone 5. I'm using the latest iOS version available all the time. I have my iPad since 3 years and my iPhone since 1 years and I always had that problem. I'm an airline pilot so I'm always in hotels. I asked my colleagues who also have iPhones and iPads and they all have the same problems from time to time. And when I go in an apple store they all say that it's the first time they hear about that problem. I never have that problem with my PCs, my previous phone and my BB playbook. Only with my iPhone and iPad....since now 3 years...Always the same problem. I'm connected to the Hotel Network, I have an IP address but nothing popup to register with a user name, password or just to access the "I have read and accept the condition.../connect". And when I go in Safari or other Browsers, I am not redirected to a login page. All I have is a message saying cannot access the webpage because I'm not connected to Internet. I tried already hard resets, on/off Wi-Fi, automatic connexion off, forget this network, reset network setting...
My solution for now is to use my Boingo account. I connect to the hotel Network and then I use the Boingo app to connect to Internet.
But, sometimes it works the first time or suddenly for no reason.
Very funny, I was using Boingo on my ipad to write this message in my Hotel room because I was unable to use my free connection as usual. When I tried to press "Add Reply" it failed and I had the message "An error occured while trying to submit your post, please try again". The reason was that boingo was disconnected since I was taking too long to write this message. So I wasn't connected to Internet anymore. I opened a second tab in Safari and what did I see!... the login page to access the free connection from the hotel. This is crazy. Apple, you really suck with hotel/coffee hotspots... I tried for hours and nothing, now hours later I just open a new tab and it works. But tomorrow I know I will try the same and it will not work again. It shouldn't be that complicated.

  • Facetime login screen will not go away

My "Sign into Facetime" screen will not go away even when I hit cancel it keeps popping back up - rendering my iphone almost useless. Any ideas?

If restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod does not solve the problem then you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Login screen does not ask for password when logging into user account

This is an issue that did not immediately manifest itself after I have upgraded to Snow Leopard. I am not sure what exactly triggered it.
Anyway, now at the login screen if I choose to login with my own user account, i.e. clicking on the icon associated to my user account, I am not prompted for the password and the system seems to start trying to login, as there is a discernible pause. Obviously that will fail, and I am returned to the login screen again.
If I choose the other user option, as before I will be allowed to manually type in an user id and password, and using this way I am able to login into my own account (previously I only use this for logging in to the root account).
Any idea on how I can make the field for typing in the password appear again? Thanks.

Just to report that deleting /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow.plist did not help.
Anyway I installed Snow Leopard again and the problem went away. Hope I will not do something that will trigger it again.

  • Tiny square on screen does not go away

    Hi,
I've been having this tiny white square on the center of my screen for 2 days already (see picture attaced). It does not move and always stays on front of every window. I have a late 2013 mac book pro with OS X Yosemite running. Does anyone have a similar problem and does anyone know how to fix this. Pretty annoying. Thank you!

Sounds like the 1.0.2 firmware bug. If you read through this lot you can find out how to downgrade to 1.0.1 firmware. I did this and it has been fine for the last five days.

Hopefully Apple will address this soon.

    Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo.

  • Login Window: Screen does not refresh correctly after waking 10.7.2 iMac and MacBook.

I have a client who brought to my attention that when we wakes his iMac and MacBook after the screen dims or sleeps at login screen, that sometimes the screen does not refresh correctly and you must use the cursor to basically "clear the screen."  I have witnessed this myself and elimiated all third party products and this still happens.  I am starting to believe that is is a bug in 10.7.2.  Has anyone witnessed this or have any suggestions on how to remedy?  Thank you.

Thanks lynque.  It turns out I did need a keychain repair, but that didn't fix the problem.  I probably should have done this earlier, but I ended up unplugging all peripherals (2 firewire + 3 USB) then powered up without issue.
So I shut down, plugged in one at a time, and ran into the problem again after plugging in an external hard drive (WD My Book Essential).  I repaired with disk utility, but the problem remained.
I then rebuilt the partitions with Disk Warrior, and now everything seems to work....

  • White apple logo screen does not appear instead screen is black. Eventually boots to login screen. Slower startup.

When I turn on my MacBook Pro 15 inch 2011, the screen does not turn on until login. Also startup is slower than usual.
I turn on the computer and it makes the optical disk noise.
The screen reamains black until the login window appears
White apple logo screen is missing.

  • HP Envy 15" TouchScreen Power LED shows up, but fans not running and screen does not come on

    Hello there!
I am a 1A Software Engineering student at University of Waterloo, and I am running into a very serious problem with my HP Envy 15" TouchSmart laptop running Windows 8.1. This is a problem that just started today, and I would rather get some support from here first before I go see the technical support office sometime tomorrow; it has to do with the screen and fans where the Power LED lights up white, just as when the laptop is running properly.
(I do have warranty on the laptop since it was bought last June, except that if I find out I need to get a replacement, I'll lose all of my work I've been doing on it ever since I started my semester. It's so ridiculous of me to not have all of my work saved on a backup, as I do have an external hard drive. Trouble is, I got way too many problems in getting myself organized, I am not being open-minded as I should, and worst, I am not finding a balance between homework and life.)
Before I had my MATH 117 (Calculus 1 for Engineering) lecture, I was in a lab nearby where my laptop was opened and turned on, functioning properly. I had NetBeans IDE running since I wanted to work on the second part of my current CS 137 (Programming Principles) assignment. Because it was almost time for my lecture, I closed the laptop by simply moving the screen back down onto the keyboard, where it goes into sleep mode. (Anytime I flip up the screen, the laptop is supposed to come back on, and the login sliding screen from Windows 8.1 shows up.)
When I took my seat for the lecture, I wanted to spend a little bit of time to work on my programming assignment. However, upon flipping the screen back up, instead of having the login screen show up, I encountered the problem: the Power LED is showing a white light, but I can't hear the fans running from the vents on the left side of the laptop, and the screen does not turn on. I did try to hold the power button for several seconds, and once at least 10 seconds, except that the Power LED keeps on showing a white light. The light for the Wi-Fi board does not show up.
Whatever it is, I don't want to pull the battery out because I did do that on my last laptop, and it was from there that I couldn't turn the old one back on again. If I pull the battery out from the Envy laptop, it'll short-circuit the connections from the battery to the computer, and thus several components will fry. For now, what I'm doing is leaving the laptop as is to drain the charge on the battery. And then, once I notice that the Power LED does not show a white light anymore, plug the AC adapter, then try turning the laptop back on using the Power Button.
It's going to take a little while for the circuit to drain the charge on my battery though...
Anyway, would you please be so kind as to help me out with this issue? I would really appreciate it if you can give me several recommendations. Thank you!

  • Log-In Screen Does Not Appear When Resuming From Standby/Sleep

We are running T400s with XP SP3. From time to time when the computer comes out of standby the login screen will not appear. You just get the background image and your mouse. The mouse will move across the screen. However there is no screen saying press Ctrl+Alt+Del or swipe a finger to login. Also swiping a finger, or pressing ctr+alt+del, typing in your password and hitting Enter does not work either. It seems to be a random but frequent occurence. The couple of T400s with Vista installed do not have this problem. Any ideas?

After doing some troubleshooting I narrowed it down to the FingerPrint reader software.  Sure enough after uninstalling it fixed the issue but then the finger print reader is useless.  I looked at the latest Version, 3.2.0.116, readme file and it states:
    <3.2.0.116>
     - (Fix) Fingerprint Reader is not working ater 1 minute idle.
     - (Fix) Fingerprint Reader is not working after standby/resume.
I am wondering if they are still working out the bugs, nothice the "l" missing from later. Any help would be a big plus as I need to roll out about 200 or so for my employer in the next month.

  • Login Window does not appear

(I am on a different computer) When i turn on my macbook, the apple logo appears, the progress wheel moves, and it switches to the blue screen. Once there the login window does not appear and the mouse pointer shows up and fades soon after. Sometimes a progress wheel displays but it does not change anything. What can I do?

First, try booting the Mac in Safe Mode. To do so, hold down the shift key as you turn it on and continue holding it until you see the spinning gear below the Apple logo. Be patient -- booting in safe mode can sometimes take 10 minutes or longer.
If that does not work, insert the first of the two recovery DVDs that came with your computer and start the Mac while holding down the C key. Once it boots, run Disk Utility and verify both the disk and disk permissions. See if that solves your problem.

  • I NEED DESPERATE HELP! ADWARE THAT DOES NOT GO AWAY NO MATTER WHAT I TRY

So I was downloading something to my computer and, of course, I got stuck with that Only Search thing and no matter what I try it DOES NOT GO AWAY. I tried turning off my extensions, I tried switching networks, I tried resetting safari. Deleting my history. Every. Single. Thing.
    And nothing works.
Pleas please PLEASE someone help me with getting rid of this I HATE having an adware.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan. Remove it as follows.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. These instructions are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.
    Step 1
From the Safari menu bar, select
              Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot," "Trovi," or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Reset the home page and default search engine in all the browsers, if it was changed.
    Step 2
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "com.vsearch.agent.plist" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Then delete the following items in the same way:
    /Library/Application Support/VSearch
    /System/Library/Frameworks/VSearch.framework
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ConduitNPAPIPlugin.plugin
Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
The problem may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Internet criminal behind VSearch has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
