Excel Analysis Toolpak Add-In?

I have an excel file from a client that uses custom functions in their formulas from SAP BusinessObjects, for example "EVTIM()". When I open their files, Excel does not recognize these functions so all data is replaced with an error message "#NAME?".
My question is, does SAP provide any kind of Analysis Toolpak add-in to allow Excel to recognize these functions? If so, where can I get it from? If not, how is one supposed to review documents that are output?

Do you mind telling us which Excel add-in are you using? The build-in add-in, third-party or developed by yourself?
Based on the event log, it showed the StackHash error crashed the Excel 2010. The error usually occurs when DEP is invoked and has an issue with whatever application you’re trying to run (and there are several hundred out
there that seem to give it fits). The error is related to Data Execution Prevention.
Thus, if this issue occur with Excel build-in add-in/ Microsoft add-in, please try the following method,
and check if it is helpful.
1. Open your Start menu and click Control Panel
2. Browse to “System Maintenance” then “System”
3. In the left panel, select “Advanced System Settings” from the available links
4. You should now see the System Properties Window, which will have three sections. The top section is labeled “Performance” and has a “Settings” button. Click this button.
5. Select the “Data Execution Prevention” tab.
6. Select the option which reads “Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select”
7. Use the “Browse” button to Excel 2010 and add it to your exceptions list.
8. Click Apply or OK to commit your changes.
If you are using third-party add-ins, I recommend you connect the provider to get more help.

Attempted to add data analysis toolpak to MS Excel using MS Office 2004 for Mac.
However, when I attempt to load/add the program, a folder is added containing Data Analysis is listed but "Data Analysis" does not show up in my MS Excel "Tools" tab.

Yes I have the 2004 MS Office for Mac installed. However, I cannot confirm that the add in has been loaded when using Excel.
The procedure that I am using:
1. With MS Excel open, I go into the "Tools" tab and select "Add-ins"
2. The "Add-ins" sub-box opens and I check the desired utilities, in this case Analysis Toolbox and I hit the "Select" button.
3. Next another sub-box opens entitled, "Choose an Add-in". With the MS Office CD in I scroll oven until I locate the sub-folder "Analysis Tools" which opens up four additional options: Analysis ToolPak, Analysis ToolPak - VBA, FuncRes, and ProcDBRes. I select Analysis ToolPak and then "Open".
4. I receive a pop up message, "Copy Analysis ToolPak to the Add-ins folder?" I select "yes" .
5. Thinking that the process has been completed, I go back to the MS Excel worksheet, select "Tools" tab and Data Analysis is not there.

On Excel 2013 (64 bit), I can't use the Analysis ToolPack add-ins without a problem and plot the residuals.

Do you mind telling us the Excel version number? Like 15.0.XXXX.1000
Would you like to collect the Event Log and App Crash dump file to do further troubleshooting?
As far as I know, if Excel crashes when using Analysis ToolPack add-ins, it usually causes by the >>Faulting module name: mso.dll<<, Please try the following method and check if it is helpful:
1.Copy/paste the Mso.dll from another PC.
2.Click "Start" and "Computer."
3.Double-click "C: Drive," "Windows" and "System32." The System32 folder opens.
4.Drag the Mso.dll file on your desktop into the System32 folder.
5.Click "Start," type "cmd" into the search field and press "Enter" to open the Command Prompt.
6.Type "regsvr32 mso.dll" (without the quotation marks) into the Command Prompt and press "Enter."
7.Close the Command Prompt and restart your computer.
Then, if the Faulting module name is not MSO.Dll, you also can upload(Or send to us via email
[email protected]) the Event Log/App Crash dump file. We'd like to do further troubleshooting.

As Mr. Olaf Helper said all you have to do is add Analysis Service as a new one on your existing instance here is what you have to do if you are new for this
1-Click on Start on your computer >>>All Programs>>>Click on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 >>>Configuration Tools>>>SQL Server Installation
Center
2- Click on New Installation or Add Feature to an Existing Installation as shown below
and then click on Analysis Service as shown on here
and then from this follow the installation wizard and you should be able to install it.

I have read some documentation about webutil
and was able to successfully open Microsoft Excel with Forms10g.
But opening Excel from forms10g
will not load addins (analysis tookpak) automatically,
and the documentation doesn't have any samples on how to load them.
So my Excel returns a #NAME? error whenever I use the PRICE function.
If you know any other webutil links with this example please do tell.

Enabled Analysis Toolpak Office 2010, not showing up in ribbon, no errors

In our lab environments, we are having some trouble getting the analysis toolpak enabled and available on the data tab in the ribbon. Originally, the add-in is not checked in add-ins, so we check it and nothing appears in data tab. All of the files necessary
are sitting in the library folder. Completely uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't work either. I have all of the office tools, and add-ins set to "Run on my computer". Can someone please help?
On a side note, it also seems like my other add-ins don't work either.

Check you select "Analysis ToolPak" and not "Analysis ToolPak VBA"
Make sure the add-in is checked and then check within the VBA to see if the add-in is indeed loaded.
Open the VBA (alt-f11)
Show the project explorer (ctrl-r)
Look for funcres(FUNCRES.XLA)
If that doesn't show up, then the analysis toolpak isn't loaded.
Maybe reinstalling from the distribution disk would be order.

I think you are talking about SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office.
It is mainly used for highly interactive multidimensional analysis. With this tool you can connect to any queries defined in BW 7.0 (even with Query Designer 3.5) and any InfoProviders (InfoCubes, DataStore objects etc.). In addition, Analysis supports SAP HANA as a source.
You can call the Query Designer from Analysis to check the definition of a query and to change it according to your needs.

Issue
> Excel crashed when It loads the ESSBase’s (xla or xll) add-in.
For the purpose of my tests, I’m handling the app-v packages using the powershell commandlets
(no SCCM / no App-V Infrastructure)
Environment
On top of a Win 2012 r2 remote desktop session host server, I :
- installed App-V 5.0 SP2 client for RDS
- (added/published globally) Excel as a packaged app-v app
- (added/published globally) ESSBase as a packaged app-v app
- (added/Enabled it Globally) a Connection Group (witch includes both the above appv packages)

User are having an issue with Analysis Office and giving the error.
From Analysis Office-> Open workbook->after Login to AO using BW connection
After opened the report ->when refresh the report, getting the error
"An Exception occurred in one of the data sources. SAP BI Add in has disconnected
Nested Exception. See inner exception below for more details
Initial RANGE-LOW for customer exit variable ****_EXIT_001 corrected ..

SAP BI Add-in has disconnected all data sources.(ID-111007)
We are using BO AO for MS Office Add-in 1.4 SP3 in BO server.
Please let me know the reason for this error and how to fix this.

Thanks for the reply. The Sales office field is directly mapped in the transformation and does not have any routine. Its the Key field.
The Billing Document Condition infocube is being feed by the DSO '2LIS_13_VDKON - Billing Document Condn' and datasource is '2LIS_13_VDKON'.
The Open Orders infocube is being feed by the DSO Document Order item / Delivery; below which we have another 3 DSO.
1st DSO has the Datasource '2LIS_13_VDITM'
2nd DSO has the Datasource '2LIS_11_VAITM'
3rd DSO has the Datasource '2LIS_11_V_SSL'
The Sales Office 7 has txn records for the month of April & May.
The report built on top of a Multiprovider and the for the months June and July, we have txn records fine for the sales office 01 - 06.
Please help me, if i am missing anything here and make me to understand better.

While opening an excel sheet with the Add-ins, "CtExcelLinksWeb.xll", the following error is being displayed,
The file you ar trying to open , "CtExcelLinksWeb.xll", is in different format than specified by the file extension.
Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you wnat to open the file now?

Extract data on specific rows in Excel file and add it to different word document on specific rows

I was wondering about if it's possible to set up some kind of vba for this function. I have one worksheet with different data in. Where it is written the same thing like 1A & 2A And 1B & 2B
And if i could put this information on specific rows in a Word document.
I would like to have all of the different data on row 1 in one specific row in a word sheet for it self and the different data on on row 2 copied into different rows in a new word document if it's possible to do some kind of domino effect of this where it can
run 5000 diffrent rows with this kind of inputs,

Excel 2010 & Essbase Add-In

Hi,
We are using Essbase version 9.3.1. Recently, some of my users have upgraded to Excel 2010. They had been using it fine for about a month, and then all of a sudden, they started getting the error "Microsoft Excel cannot access the file 'C:Hyperion\AnalyticServices\bin\essexcln.xll' whenever they try and use the Essbase Add-In.
The only work around that I have found is that if they navigate to that path and click on the add-in and then open Excel, it will work fine, but obviously, that is not the optimal solution.
I have gone and downloaded Essbase version 9.3.3 and installed on the machine, but the same error is occurring. I don't see how this could be a problem, seeing that usually it is OK to use a newer version of the add-in, even if the overall product is on the older version.
We are planning on upgrading all of our products to 9.3.3 in the next couple of months, but I have a feeling that will not solve the add-in/Excel issue.
Any ideas?

Hi ,
The error which you are getting is due the Excel. Because Excel Disables
the Essbasee Addin some time.
When you get the same error follow the below steps.
1) Open Excel
2) Go to Home menu
3) Options -> Add-ins -> Select Disable Add-Ins
4) Select the Essbase Add-ins and Click on Enable.
5) Click Ok.
6) Restart Excel

XL Reporter security settings Excel 2007: com add-in Load Behavior: unloade

I have followed all the posts regarding the security settings in MS Excel (I'm using 2007), and I still get the error. I believe the problem relates to the com add-in. I have the add-in "available" but always unchecked. When I check it, I see the behavior as "unloaded". close the com add-in window and still get the error. Each time I return to the com add-in area the SAP Business One XL Reporter add-in is unchecked again.
Has anyone discovered this behavior?

I discovered a solution. Apparently, Excel had disabled the add-in in a prior attempt to start the add-in. I found out how to reenable the add-in at this microsoft note:
