Hi
when I was load the data OLEDB source to excel desination. but first time is executive proper way but when i was try run the package second type iam getting this type of error:

[SSIS.Pipeline] Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_PROCESSINPUTFAILED. The ProcessInput method on component "Excel Destination" (12) failed with error code 0xC0209029 while processing input "Excel Destination Input" (23). The identified
component returned an error from the ProcessInput method. The error is specific to the component, but the error is fatal and will cause the Data Flow task to stop running. There may be error messages posted before this with more information about the
failure.

Based on my research, when we specify a worksheet as the source, the JET Provider adds new records below existing records in the worksheet as space allows. When we specify a range (named or unnamed), Jet also adds new records below the existing records in
the range as space allows.
However, if we re-query on the original range, the resulting recordset does not include the newly added records outside the range. Using MDAC we cannot add new rows beyond the defined limits of the range, so we receive the Exception: “Cannot expand named
range”.
To fix this issue, please use ODBC for Access and Excel with Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable which can be downloaded
here to access the Excel file.

Excel ActiveX error in exe: library not registered

Hi,
I wondered if any of you can help me as I'm at a bit of a
loss. I have an application that is complied to exe, and installed with
an installer in LabVIEW 8.5.1 that uses the Excel ActiveX interface to
write to an xls file. In development and on all of my testing this
seems to work fine (with Excel 03 and 07) but I have just received a
bug report whereby on a particular install the following error has been
thrown form my Open Excel VI (see attached code). Apparently it was
working but this machine has recently upgraded some data management
software (Goldmine 6.0 -> 7.5) and since then it hasn't worked. The error generated is:
Error code:-2147319779
source: "Library not registered."
Troubleshooting
is complicated a little as this is running as an exe and the source
code seems to work fine on my development machine.
Any ideas would be GREATLY appriciated!
(my current inclination is to ask the customer to resintall Office and
Goldmine and then reinstall the LabVIEW app - so far he has only tried
reinstalling the LabVIEW software)

It would really help to see the relevant code, and to know which version of LabVIEW is being used. I notice the original code was developed on LabVIEW 8.5, and the Poster mentions older versions of Office (and is writing an .xls instead of an .xlsx file), suggesting the original code is about 7 years old.
About 4 years ago, I got frustrated with trying to use ActiveX, and NI developed a much more robust Report Generation Toolkit. I've adopted the RGT and haven't looked back. Most of the weird errors I used to fight are gone, and building executables is (mostly) no pain (there's a small glitch that required manual OK-type intervention when you first encounter the Toolkit in a Build). I'm guessing that it should be pretty easy to rewrite your code using the RGT in place of ActiveX, and I'm willing to help ...

Found the solution. The hardrive name was changed to "/" which is not a recognised file path character. So I changed the name to "Mac" then I was able to already open all files in excel and word

Basically, these are multiple macro enabled spreadsheets from one client. It happens with no other clients who also use macros. They are all saved to our network, which has plenty of space. Any of our users that access these files have the same issue.

Take following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Check the Macro and File Blocker settings in the Trust Center.(File>Option>Trust center>Trust center settings)
Then we suggest to perform a clean startup to determine whether background programs are interfering with your Office program.

Hi,
I have excel 2013 Professional installed and i have created a windows service to open the excel document and read it.
Service is running as System account.
Now when i am trying to access the excel doucment, it is throwin the exception as
EXCEL COM ERROR Error Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {00024500-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}
however, when i am using the console application running as administrator, i am able to open same file.
Any yes, i am using 64 bit service C++ and excel binaries are Any CPU.
Please note: I have already tried using dcomconfig and assigned full permission to the system user.
Is there any other solution for this issue.

Microsoft does not currently recommend, and does not support, Automation of Microsoft Office applications from any unattended, non-interactive client application or component (including ASP, ASP.NET, DCOM, and NT Services), because Office may exhibit
unstable behavior and/or deadlock when Office is run in this environment.
If you are building a solution that runs in a server-side context, you should try to use components that have been made safe for unattended execution. Or, you should try to find alternatives that allow at least part of the code to run client-side.
If you use an Office application from a server-side solution, the application will lack many of the necessary capabilities to run successfully. Additionally, you will be taking risks with the stability of your overall solution.

After Export to Excel File error while opening using xmlwriter in silverlight

Can one help me in fixing following issue after to export to excel had done iam getting following error message
"The file you are trying to open, 'test.xls', is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do uou want to open the file now ?"
If i click Yes file opens correctly but it shows above message . Can any one suggest me how to avoid this programatically with the following code.

Excel interop. error with Visual Studio 2012

I am using a stand alone and not a server loaded with VS and office 10, I have done all the interop and importing name space and from my experience that should not be a problem.
Just help, how is this finally resolved, have you done an article on it?

Excel generated errors after completion of VI

Hello everybody..
I created a VI that using activeX it opens an excel file from desktop, renames the worksheet "sheet1", and closing as well as saving the changes. It works ok, then i open the excel file to see the changes , and when i close it it gives an error message "excel has created errors and will be closed bywindows" etc,etc.
I guess it's something to do with the order i close the automation references, but after a lot of tries no luck...
I am using LV7.1 and MS office excel 2000.
If anyone can help me please do...

Hi all. I have almost the same problem again, but now I can’t
tackle it for the moment.
I created this vi which is part of another vi, and it does
this:
It creates a new excel at the first run, name it month.xls (June,
July etc.) and it renames the worksheet according to the date e.g. 25 June
2008. It closes all refnums and applications. Then in 20 seconds (for debug
reasons) it checks the date. If the PC clock is set to another date it checks
the month if it’s the same it adds another worksheet to the previous excel, if
its another month it creates a new excel and so on. If anyone wants to run it
he has to change the date in this 20 seconds that the loop waits.
Problem: Excel stays in memory and you have to kill it from
Task manager to open the created excel. I can’t see the problem since I close
all references and quit the application at the end. I post this question if
anyone wishes to help. Thank you very much in advance guys.
PS. LV7.1 MS Excel 2000 (with service packs).

Excel, PowerView error in SharePoint 2013: "An error occurred while loading the model for the item or data source 'EntityDataSource'. Verify that the connection information is correct and that you have permissions to access the data source."

I've installed SQL Server 2012 SP1 + SP server 2012 + SSRS and PowerPivot add-in.
I also configured excel services correctly. Everything works fine but the powerview doesn't work!
While I open an excel workbook consist of a PowerView report an error occurs: "An error occurred while loading the model for the item or data source 'EntityDataSource'. Verify that the connection information is correct and that you have permissions
to access the data source."

Based on the current error message, the error can be related to the
Claims to Windows Token Service (C2WTS) and is an expected error under certain conditions. To verify the issue, please check the aspects below:
     1. The C2WTS Windows service and C2WTS SharePoint service are both running.
     2. Check the SQL Server Browser service is running on the machine that has the PowerPivot instance of SSAS.
     3. Check the domain. You're signing into SharePoint with a user account in some domain (call it Domain A). When Domain A is equal to Domain B which SharePoint server itself is located (they're the same domain), or Domain
A trusts Domain B.
In addition, the error may be caused by Kerberos authentication issue due to missing SPN. In order to make the Kerberos authentication work, you need to configure the Analysis Services to run under a domain account, and register the SPNs for the Analysis
Services server.
To create the SPN for the Analysis Services server that is running under a domain account, run the following commands at a command prompt:
• Setspn.exe -S MSOLAPSvc.3/Fully_Qualified_domainName OLAP_Service_Startup_Account
Note: Fully_Qualified_domainName is a placeholder for the FQDN.
• Setspn.exe -S MSOLAPSvc.3/serverHostName OLAP_Service_Startup_Account

Excel file error saving to server because of .TemporaryItems folder

I am running a standalone Macintosh file server. OS v10.10.1 and Server v4.0.3. All my users are setup with local accounts.
The problem is when some users are working on an Excel or Word document and try to save they get an error message " Document saved successfully. Cannot reopen the saved document due to low memory, Please close the documents. Followed by the message " Excel could not open FileX because some content is unreadable.
After researching the problem appears to be Microsoft Office is saving the open file in a .TemporaryItems folder first, then saves the file and then deletes the temp file. This works fine on a local workstation. The problem is when there is a shared folder the local users are all trying to save to that same folder beause the local user has the same UID.
I read where creating a new .TemporaryItems folder on the server and giving all rights to it for all users fixes the problem. Well it didn't. Or I didn't set it up correctly. Does some one have an easy to follow guide on how to set this up. I have some UNIX knowledge but not a lot. Does the folder have to be created in more than one location? How do you setup the permissions?

I am having the exact same issue on the Yosemite Server. I have gone through and pushed permissions with the Server Software and what I have found is a little utility that shows the invisible or temp files. The app is called InvisibliX.. You install and select Show Hidden Files and then got the folder where you are having trouble with the Excel Document. You will then see the .temp / invisible files which you can then delete.

Excel file error after upgrade from 2010 to 2013

Hi there,
I did the upgrade from 2010 (Enterprise) to 2013. The excel files are not opening giving error.
ULS Log: "Unexpected error when trying to access service settings in the configuration database. Make sure the proxy for this service application is a member of the default proxy group for the active web application. Error = ExcelServerWebServiceApplication.Local:
Could not get the web application associated with this context. This indicates that the Excel Server service is not properly registered or provisioned.."
Question : Do I need to create New Excel Service Application separately on SharePoint 2013 Server?
I followed this link for upgrade
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj839719.aspx but it doesn't say anything for Excel SA.
Note: I have plan to configure separate Office APP Server to give user access the documents on iPad/iPhone. Should I need to do any configuration related to this error on Office App Server?

Yes, you need to create New Excel Service Application separately on SharePoint 2013 Server. Due to only the following service applications have databases that can be upgraded when you upgrade from SharePoint
Server 2010 to SharePoint Server 2013:
Business Data Connectivity service application
Managed Metadata service application
PerformancePoint Services service application
Search service application
Secure Store Service application
User Profile service application
Attaching and upgrading these databases configures these service applications. Settings for other services will have to be reconfigured when you upgrade.

Excel type error while using in SSIS 2005

Hi I am trying to dump the data into excel from OLEDB source.
However, I want to load it into excel 2007 (.XLSX type) there it is giving below error while creating excel connection manager (destination)
(it is working fine for .XLS type but i want to load into 2007 workbook)
Error desc:
File path contains invalid Excel file. Please provide file with .xls extension.
Any idea?

Excel File Error After Using SaveAsDialog in C#

Hello,
I have a project where I am trying to use SaveFileDialog. My code runs fine and saves the file to the directory that I choose. The problem is when I try to open the file I receive an error from Excel stating
“Excel cannot open the file Test_File.xlsx because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file”
Is there something happening in my code that is corrupting the file during the save process?
I can’t figure out why I am getting this error. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
