Exception in Query not shown
Hi All!
I need you help with the following - which normally works:
I integrated an exception in my query (3.5) which should show positiv abbrv. in green / negative in red. I mad the following settings:
I selected the keyfigure, made for "green" the setting 999999 - 0 Alert Level green2 and in the secound folder I only selected all - the same I did for red (0 - -999999). I activated the exception. Normally the values in that column should be shown in red and green but it didn´t work?
Does anyone know why?
Mirjam
Hi,
Select Validity area of exception as all in the one of two tabs avaiable in the creation of exception and try it will work.
Hope it will Work..!!
Please assign points....

BEx query not shown in BO 4.0; BICS
Hi,
I have a sample BEx query designed in Query Designer 7.x; I would like to use this query with Web Intelligence of BO 4.0. However, the query is not being displayed.
In CMC -> Authentication we have entered our SAP BW system and we are getting the roles imported. So the connection seems to work.
In the query I have turned on the option "Allow External Access to this Query" (but I think this isn't necessary for BICS?).
However, the query isn't displayed when creating a new WebI document based on BEx. Do I have to do some more steps?
Thanks!
Edit: I now created a new OLAP connection, our BO server can see the query and cube. But: I don't see this OLAP connection in Web Intelligence Rich Client. I am using the administrator login and have full access.
Edited by: SteveXI on Sep 7, 2011 5:29 PMHi,
I have created 2 OLAP connection in CMC with SSO and Predefined. (does not work with prompt).
I can see the list of queries from cube with predefined connection, but all are gredout!!. what could be the reason?
With SSO connection i get following error -
com.google.protobuf.UninitializedMessageException: Message missing required fields: bytesValue
Any input is much appreciated.
Thanks.

All master data values not shown in query selections
Hi
I have created a query on a BasisCube containing the InfoObject 0FUNC_AREA. I loaded data to 0FUNC_AREA and the cube.
I then created a query on the cube, in which I want to filter on 0FUNC_AREA. However, when I get the list of available values for 0FUNC_AREA not all the values in the master data is shown. It only shows 25 values out of 105.
As a default, the data shown is only the cube data, so I removed the tick in the checkbox: Show only InfoCube data. Still the same.
Then I went to the InfoObject and set the 'Query Def. Filter Value Selection' and 'Query Execution Filter Val. Selectn' equal to 'Values in Master Data'. Still the same.
Then I deleted the contents of the InfoCube. It still shows the original 25 values.
The really strange thing is, that when I go into the selection screen for 0FUNC_AREA in the BEx and limit the shown values to one of the values available in the master data but not shown in the list, it shows the text of the functional area in the limit summary window. But still when executing the limitation, it cannot find the value!!!
The problem is the same in LISTCUBE
I hope some of you can help we with this.
Thanks
/KarstenHi Hari
1) Reactivated the master data, said it was already active.
2) Could see a difference between the data contained in cube and the remaining data. Otherwise not.
I deleted cube and master data and reloaded, the problem still persists. I am beginning to suspect a bug in BW.
I have to determine whether I am going to live with it (as it isn't critical, just a nuisance) or create an OSS on it.
Thanks for all the input guys.

Navigation Attribut is not shown in two rows in the Query
Hello,
we are using a multiprovider with the infoobject 0material. In the multiprovider we use a navigation attribut MH_PR_ST of 0material.
Normally, the query rows should show the material number and the corresponding attribut MH_PR_ST, but in some materials in the multiprovider exist some rows where the attribute is shown correctly from the master data table and in some rows the attribute is not shown.
Therefore in the query two rows are shown:
Material No. MH_PR_ST Key Figure
4711 A 10
4711 # 5
Sum 15
With all other navigation attributs there is only 1 row.
Do you have any good ideas?
Thank you very much + best regards,
IlonaHi,
Assuming the second row comes from one of your basic cube; since it looks that 0MATERIAL is populated (it is coorectly identified), ensure that the identification of the nav 0MATERIAL__MH_PR_ST is done properly in your multiprovider.
hope this helps...

Org.hibernate.exception.GenericJDBCException: could not execute query
while executing sql statements with hibernate oracle this type of errors
org.hibernate.exception.GenericJDBCException: could not execute query
ava.sql.SQLException: ORA-01001: cursore non valido can any one suggest
a solution for this.
ThanksThis is likely due to a commit/rollback being executed after the statement has been executed but befofre the result set has been processed by the application. In TimesTen, unlike Oracle, commit/rollback closes all open cursors on the connection. This could be a case of using the wrong Hibernate dialect. Are you using a TimesTen dialect in Hibernate?

IPC/VC: Knowledgebase/KB of ECC is not shown in CRM
Hi,
we would like to use the Variant Configuration in CRM.
Today we are using already the IPC in a standalone environment with an external system (IPC 5.0, the external system is using the IPC in the Java environment of ERP). From the same ECC System we would like to download now the knowledge bases to reuse them in CRM 7.0. All knowledge bases and runtime environments are already available. When I download the object SCE (with certain filters), I can see all those entries in table COMM_CFGKB in CRM.
Anyhow, when checking the material in CRM (e.g. commpr01 or WebUI), no knowledge base is shown!
The table COMM_CFGKB has exactly the same entries as ECC (Active = T, KB Usage 10, KBOBJNAME and Version filled etc.), but anyhow it is not shown at all in CRM. As these knowledge bases are very huge, I have tested also a very small and easy one. This one is getting downloaded the same way and has the same entries in table COMM_CFGKB and it is also visible in commpr01.
So my assumption is that the other KBs are not 100% correct. When checking them in ECC (cu36) I get many warnings and errors. Anyhow, they were downloaded to CRM (but won`t be shown). Business says that these warnings/errors are OK and that the external system which uses the IPC in ECC is not having any problems.
Question: is there any chance of using a KB in CRM which has warning/errors when it was generated in ECC?
Is there any chance of manipulating the KB before it gets imported into CRM. I have found Note 1044682 which explains a BADI.
Which tables/fields do we have to manipulate so we are able to use the KB in CRM.
As mentioned: business is aware of those errors and excepts that there might be a crash in the IPC for certain combinations.
Thx
GuidoHi Christophe,
OK, I think I understand your suggestion: you use the same IPC with your CRM as well as with the ECC system. So in CRM you just maintain the URL and a user in XCM to the "same" IPC. You mentioned that we need to download anyway the SCE. This is somehow logical as this is the base connected to CRM, but what is not clear to me is the fact, that if the SCE KB is used via ECC all SAP R/3 fields are available (like VBTYPE of the sales order where you have values like B or C). In CRM we use the same SCE KB but here these fields are not availble as the sales order transaction customizing in CRM does not contain such a field. Where is the logical link between the values which are available in IPC and the SCE?
Thx

I have two view objects based on entitys:
EOUsuarioWeb-->users
EOGesdusrrol.--> user with rol
I create a viewLink matching "EOUsuarioWeb.Usrcodigo" with "EOgesdusrrol.Gescodusr" with one to one relationship. When I run the application module, clic on the viewLink and the list of values for roles(in EOgesdusrrol) is not shown. But if I clic on the "EOgesdusrrol view object" then I can see the list of values.
I developed this because I have a page with users and rol in one table. So with the EOUsuarioWeb I register a new user and with EOGesdusrrol I register the rol.
Any help please

Caught workflow exception:
Process exited with exit code 0.Although the versions 10.1.3.4 and 10.1.3.3 are close and should be able to use 10.1.3.4 JDev for most 10.1.3.3 development, the human tasks is the one exception. 10.1.3.3 had a few bugs fixed therefore the jar file used in JDev 10.1.3.4 may not be compatible with 10.1.3.3.
I would either use JDev 10.1.3.3 or upgrade SOA Suite to 10.1.3.4

Tables not shown in connections tree for DB2 databases
Hi!
I often use SQL Developer to connect to our DB2 databases. However, when I expand the desired schema in a DB2 database, the Tables node is empty, although it should not be. There are tables in that schema and I can select data from them, so security is not an issue:
For example:
select tabschema, tabname from syscat.tables where tabschema not like 'SYS%' order by 1,2;
returns many schema names and table names is those schemas. Let's pick one, i.e table name METER_TYPE in schema METER ( there are 4 tables in schema METER)
select count(*) from meter.meter_type
returns: 38
However, the Tables node shows no tables. Tese tables are not Aliases (DB2 slang for synonyms) or views, however, those 2 nodes are also empty when they should not be - we have schemas with aliases and views, which are also NOT shown. The Index node is populated most frequently, but not completely (there are indexes missing).
Here are my details (don't be fooled by java 1.7, the behaviour is the same with 1.6):
DB2 jdbc driver version: 3.57.82

For some unknown and probably pointless reason, forms converts the tree query to uppercase before executing it. This can cause problems if the sql contains any hardcoded strings. In my case I was doing something like
decode(status,1,'red',2,'green')||icon_name
this resulted in REDicon when my icon was actually redicon.gif -
Some appointments are not shown sometimes
I access a Webaccess server that is in GMT+1 timezone from GMT-5 timezone and have GW set to either GMT-5 explicitly or use workstation's timezone. I did this test on Sunday Feb 26 and couple hours into Monday Feb 27 (GMT-5) - I created an appointment for Feb 26, 11:00-11:59pm from within a week view. As soon as it was created, it was not shown either in week or day views or basic interface, but could only be seen in month view or when searching for appointments. That is just an example, it was not a single occurrence, but I had several test appointments like that. Then I also had appts that were not shown even in month view, but only in search results. Regarding that Feb 26 appt, it could be made seen again in day or week views if a different timezone was chosen in options. Today, Feb 27 at the end of the day, that appointment is seen no problem in day and week views and also in basic interface, so I do not have a reliable way of reproducing the problem. Since the appt was not shown even in basic interface before, I suspect it is a server time computation/database query problem and not browser graphics rendering problem. Also, there used to be a pdf file with Webaccess API that showed how to query calendar with startDate and endDate parameters which can be done in basic interface by manually editing the address field in browser and that part is broken too - Webaccess does not show some appointments after given start date, until the start date is moved up earlier to coincide with start of the day in GMT timezone. All that used to work fine in earlier GW versions. It looks like in GW2012 some big design changes were made and some serious bugs were introduced.
The missing piece is how ( every other way of accessing the calendar ) sees the apointment. What happens from the Windows client? Does it show the missing appointment created in webaccess?
Its certainly possible that some boundary condition bug is being exercised. But we need to get this to the point where it can be easily reproduced. I suspect the issue has to do with the time zone being signed differently, e.g. +1 vs -5.
Webaccess is essentially a rewrite in 2012, this eliminated the GWINTER server component and so there are a lot of positives to this move. All things considered, its been pretty decent.

How to create an exception in query designer?
Hi,
I am new to BW. I created an exception and set the from and to limits with an alert level of green for an amount column. When I run this query in the web, it does not change the color to green for the condition in the amount column. What is the validity area of exception? Do I need to enter anything there? I am in BW 3.5Hi,
You need to change the default option Result only to all the cells in the second tab(cell defining) of Exceptions in query designer.

Why is this query not using the index?
check out this query:-
SELECT CUST_PO_NUMBER, HEADER_ID, ORDER_TYPE, PO_DATE
FROM TABLE1
WHERE STATUS = 'N'
and here's the explain plan:-
1
2 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3 | Id | Operation | Name | Rows | Bytes | Cost (%CPU)|
4 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5 | 0 | SELECT STATEMENT | | 2735K| 140M| 81036 (2)|
6 |* 1 | TABLE ACCESS FULL| TABLE1 | 2735K| 140M| 81036 (2)|
7 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8
9 Predicate Information (identified by operation id):
10 ---------------------------------------------------
11
12 1 - filter("STATUS"='N')
There is already an index on this column, as is shown below:-
INDEX_NAME INDEX_TYPE UNIQUENESS TABLE_NAME COLUMN_NAME COLUMN_POSITION
1 TABLE1_IDX2 NORMAL NONUNIQUE TABLE1 STATUS 1
2 TABLE1_IDX NORMAL NONUNIQUE TABLE1 HEADER_ID 1
So why is this query not using the index on the 'STATUS' Column?
I've already tried using optimizer hints and regathering the stats on the table, but the execution plan still remains the same, i.e. it still uses a FTS.
I have tried this command also:-
exec dbms_stats.gather_table_stats('GECS','GEPS_CS_SALES_ORDER_HEADER',method_opt=>'for all indexed columns size auto',cascade=>true,degree=>4);
inspite of this, the query is still using a full table scan.
The table has around 55 Lakh records, across 60 columns. And because of the FTS, the query is taking a long time to execute. How do i make it use the index?
Please help.
Edited by: user10047779 on Mar 16, 2010 6:55 AMIf the cardinality is really as skewed as that, you may want to look at putting a histogram on the column (sounds like it would be in order, and that you don't have one).
create table skewed_a_lot
as
select
case when mod(level, 1000) = 0 then 'N' else 'Y' end as Flag,
level as col1
from dual connect by level <= 1000000;
create index skewed_a_lot_i01 on skewed_a_lot (flag);
exec dbms_stats.gather_table_stats(user, 'SKEWED_A_LOT', cascade => true, method_opt => 'for all indexed columns size auto');Is an example. -
Condition in 7.0 query not used when mapped to dropdownlist in 3.5 web temp
Hi Experts
I have a 7.0 query with a condition so that it only shows topN records for a given KF. The query is shown in a chart in a 3.5 web template and here is the condition working just fine. However in the same web template has I made a dropdownlist which is based on the same query as the chart but here is the condition not used.
Do you know how I get the system to apply the condition to the dropdownlist as well?
I have tried to set the "Read mode" to the possible values (posted values, master data table, dimension table) on the dropdownlist element in the 3.5 web template but it didn't help.
Thanks and kind regards,
