Exception Message number 30 and rescheduling date

Hi everybody,
This is about the exception message 30 which is displayed in MD04 and the rescheduling date.How is this date determined and what does the exception message signify. Further, it would be great if i can get any link on forward/backward scheduling and how the system determines the dates?Also, what is the criteria for this rescheduling date to be displayed in MD04?

Exception Message 30 - Plan process according to schedule
say , if there is a PIR on 02.7.08 and a planned order to cover this reqmt is generated with Ord finish date as 05.7.08 , system will now throw an Exception Message - 30 with the rescheduling date as 02.07.08 to complete the order on the same day as that of the requirement say 02.07.08.

MRP Exception Message Number

I need to write an ABAP report which uses the details on the MD04 Stock Requirements List detail screen for those items which have an Exception Message number (10, 20,30 etc..). The screen shows this data is held in a structure called MDEZ. I have tried performance tracing and ABAP debugging but can't find the actual database table where this data is held.(I'm a newbie).
Can anyone help with the relevant table name or appropriate function module?

Check form AUFBEREITUNG_ANZEIGE in main program SAPMM61R, include MM61RF40 in particular - forms aufbauen_mdpsx & mdezx_aufbauen.
They use 2 FMs to retrieve data, but these FMs require proper values to be passed in... so check all code in the form AUFBEREITUNG_ANZEIGE.
As an option - you may try to call this form like
perform AUFBEREITUNG_ANZEIGE(SAPMM61R). and then use field symbol, to access MDEZX.
assign ('(SAPMM61R)MDEZX[]') to <fs_mdezx>.

Exception message 10 and safety stock

Hello
When I have a ressource in the past (we have this case), and if the safety stock is not complet, the exception message is "10" (reschedulling in) without date.
Normaly the result should be exception message "15" (rescheduling out) with a date.
Why have I an exception message "10" without date ?
Is it the custo, but I found nothing ?

I've seen this myself, and believe that it happens only if you allow start in the past and have got insufficient coverage for safety stock.
I guess it doesn't have a date because of the start in the past, which will set availability date even today. Try to change the "start in the past" indicator, and see what happens.

MRP - want to create query for Exception message number (MD04)

Dear all MM kings
consider i had one purchase against xxxx material , if i go to MD04 In Exception message number column i got massage number 20 Cancel process, now i want to know how many purchase order exist in system having the Exception message number 20
i want to define query for Exception message number 20
is there any way to do the same

There are links on the first thread on this MM board that describe how to produce a query.
But if you have not done this before and have no ABAP experience, you might find it a bit tricky.
You need someone to find the tabkle that stores the MRP lists and see if this contains the exception message, first.
the structure I gave you is probably built dynamically by the program and so may not be available for a query.
One simpler option is to use the "Collective access" tab in MD04. here you can enter an MRP controller etc. and get a list of materials. You can then find out which of the 8 numbered columns contains the exception message 20 and then sort the list in this sequence (the exception messages are linked to one of the columns and this can be different in every implementation and so I can't tell you which one it is)
This will not just get the "20" messages unless they have been configured to use a separate column, but at least it is avail;able now without config and may be enough for your purposes.

Exception message number missing in EXIT_SAPLM61R_001

Hello experts,
I am using EXIT_SAPLM61R_001 for MD04 but in parameter IMDEZEXIT, the info of the Exception message number (AUSKT) and Exception message key (AUSSL) arer empty, although the line I'm debugging has an exception.
Does anubody know why??

CRM Order Message number and description and Notes

Hi
   we have Error/warning messages and notes in CRMD_ORDER (ie in CRM sales order). I am looking to get the tables for message number and notes. The purpose for this is I need to give these details to BW team for extraction. The standard extractor doesnt have these fields (ie message number or notes)
Here is the research I have done till now
1) for Messages people are suggesting to use FM - CRM_MESSAGES_DISPLAY which gives Log handle and Message number. with this data call CRM_MESSAGES_GET_MSG_INFO and this will give the Application area and message number which can be queried in T100 table
2) for notes I was suggested to use the FM - READ_TEXT
The option I have is use a user exit (extractor) and populate these data in the extractor before sending it to BW
Can you please let me know if message number and notes in a order can be directly queried from tables (is there a link table that connects the order GUID to the message table (T100) ?

     I tried this but it doesnt get me to the actual notes. I was able to query STXH which doesnt have the actual notes. So I further went into STXL table where there is a field called "Data" which looks like a big GUID but not sure if there is a another table I need to plug this to get the actual notes.
     What I heard from the ABAP team is that there is no way to get this data through direct or link tables. We have to use the READ_TEXT FM

Incorrect version number and installation date of Firefox after upgrading

My home desktop PC equipped with Mozilla Firefox v4.0 has recently been upgraded to v4.0.1 through an automatic updating. However, as noted from Windows 7 "Programs and Features", the latest version number and its installation date are not correctly shown. The required details refer to the previous v4.0.
I look forward to having your technical advice as soon as possible.

Thank you for your prompt response.
It seems to me that an automatic update of Firefox from v4.0 to v4.0.1 is not detected by Windows 7 > Programs and Features. Firefox > Show Update History and > About show the latest version number with the correct date of installation.
At last, I re-installed Firefox into the existing version. I am pleased to inform you that Windows 7 shows the correct version number and installation date of Firefox as well as Revo Uninstaller.
Perhaps, Firefox team would be kind enough to look into the matter. The problem did not happen in the past automatic updates.

Please goto SE91 you will get Message number and class
Message class is application area to which the error message belongs So by using massage number we find the where exactly error is.
So goto transaction se91 and enter the message class name,select the message and then try doing where used list records found. So it help to solve the problem.

How to find message type by using message number and application area

Hi abapers,
I know the message number and application area , how to find messagwe type.
i.e weather it is error message or warning message.
MESSAGE NUMBER IS :219.
APLLICATION AREA IS : FS.
in which table i had to check.
i checked in t100 table , but i am unable to find message type.
please help me to solve this.

then click on display.
then go to utilities tab >> where used list or press shift + ctrl +f3
there list of program will show .
choose your program name
then u will get ur mesage infoemation by double click on ur program name

Stock transport order and rescheduling date field

I am a bit surprise why "rescheduling date" field value in stock requirement list (MDO4) is always empty (and with exception message code 10) for my stock transport order?

MD04 and rescheduling date

This is my scenario:
Material A is composed by material B. When the stock of material B is 0, MD04 does not take in account the time to provisioning Material B when a Material A has to be produced.
Example:
Time to create Material A: 3 days. Created using a Purchase Requisition (subcontracting).
Time to provisioning Material B: 6 days.
MD04 (for Material A) always shows 3 days (today3days), never mind if the quantity of material B in our warehouse is 0 (in this case should be: today6days3days, but always is today3). Maybe the problem is the rescheduling date at MD04 (always is today, not today+6days)?
What do I have to modify? (Maybe master material?)

Means that MD41 creates a Purchase Requisition of Material A independently of the availability of Material B
Ah, we are talking about MD41, not MD04. MD41 is a version of MRP (well, technically it is an MPS, but in this case it makes no difference). SAP MRP in ERP does NOT perform availability checking. The behavior your are describing is normal.
MRP/MPS in SAP runs level by level, from the top level of the BOM down. When MRP runs for 'A', it has no information about the availability of 'B'. When you are making a mulitlevel run (such as during MD41), MRP runs for A, finishes, creates and saves the PlndOrdr/PurReq for A, and then runs for B. During the run for 'B', MRP performs a net requirements calculation (NOT an ATP). This is when MRP discovers that there is a shortage of B. It creates its proposals for B, and also creates any required exception message(s).
You can configure SAP to perform an ATP check for the components of Planned orders and Purchase Reqs. You can then execute the availability check individually (when you create/change the order manually) or you can set up a collective check. None of these ATP checks are triggered by MRP. The typical output of an ATP check is a Missing Parts List, and whether the quantity/date can be confirmed as it stands. Neither will these checks automatically re-schedule an existing Purchase req.
Some companies choose to include the procurement time for B in their procurement time for A. In your example, you would use 40 days procurement time for 'A'. In this way you are never caught short. However, this drives up stock levels of B (B will be procured earlier than required). Some other companies place safety stock in B, and then assume that B will always be available. Still other companies will manually juggle 'A' PurReq according to the availability of B. Take your pick.
SCM has the ability to perform Multilevel availability checks, and thereby automatically produce schedules which reflect true availability of all components in the entire BOM. SCM also offers a heuristic (similar to MRP) that performs bottom-up scheduling, in which the procurement proposals are run from the lowest level of the BOM upward, automatically resulting in a plan that has no material shortages. ERP lacks both of these features. If this is a requirement, consider changing your planning engine to SCM.
