Excessive number of attributes

I was looking into 10g Data Mining functionality to see if it can support mining a data set with many thousands of attributes (columns) and several thousands of rows.
As far as I can see, from the PL/SQL interface input data set has to be a table/view/table function and they all are limited to 1000 columns.
Is there a way to get around this ?

Hi,
You can use data types DM_NESTED_NUMBERICALS and DM_NESTED_CATEGORICALS as columns. These types are similiar to the ODM Java "Transactional Data", and allow you to expand the amount of information available to the model beyond 1000 columns. Please see the pl/sql reference for more details.

No Limits are defined as such:
How many Maximum number of Dimensions can create ?
Even in the Dbag, it says "many":
A base dimension member can have many attributes, but only one attribute from each attribute dimension.Cheers..

VAMT 3.0 Duplicate Client Machine ID Report showing excessive number of computers

We are running a KMS on a 2008 R2 VM with plenty of CPU, RAM and storage. I recently configured and installed the Volume Activation Management Tool 3.0. Everything seems to be working well except that reviewing the Volume License
Reports, specifically the Duplicate Client Machine ID Report, I noticed an excessive number (about 4 times the number of actual managed computers) are listed in this report node. Even assuming that computer images were not being sysprep'd this
seems really odd. The License Overview shows 1,813 licensed and 1,678 unknown (possibly off or disconnected devices) and our duplicate CMID report shows about 8,300 plus. What are the possible causes why this number is so high and how do I troubleshoot
and remediate inaccuracies?

Duplicate CMID can come if you didnt used /generalize option when sysprep'ing. (http://blogs.technet.com/b/askcore/archive/2009/10/16/kms-host-client-count-not-increasing-due-to-duplicate-cmid-s.aspx)
Please check your KMS's log, to be sure if true or not. If duplicate, it will be logged by your KMS's host.
In virtual, like XenDesktop or View with a golden image it can easilly happen, as the CMID is kept by the server for the virtual's machine (aka the PVS for XenDesktop)

Hi Yagmoth555, thanks for the reply. I know this is not the case for our environment as it's telling me that physical systems that were installed with the ISO have duplicate ID's. Also, the previous version of VAMT that we were running didn't show
1,560 systems as having the same ID. I have already deleted every "product" from the database and rescanned our environment, but I get the same result.

Large number of attributes reduces data display in Query (PLS HELP).

We have newly upgraded our system to 7.0, Currently i have a Query based on master data info object(0 equipment) which contain several attributes, due to huge number of attributes, i cannot see data for few attributes( Ex:-0service descrip), but data exists for these atrrib, when i check in RSA1. my client want to use heavy number of 0Euipment numbers(nearly 10000) in selection screen. thats the reason for data not to be seen.
WE are under SP 16 also(Note 562162 - Additional selection of attribute reduces query result set is allready exists), and did not found any proper note.
So guru's can any one please tell me how i can get the data in Query for these attribute by keeping the same selection option for Equipment numbers (10000).
Dude's give me some good suggestion please...client is waiting from 1 week

Please help ASAP, as this is effecting our testing team. I have tried to copy individual tables also using a transport request number and SCC1 to copy it to the target client. This is also taking quite a long time.

What does your system log say ?
Check this SAP Note
Note 579783 - CC ERROR: Loss of data - table not copied
run the report RSCC_VERIFY to check if the table is consistent within the source client.
SAP will only provide support for RSCC_VERIFY messages if there is a specific problem in an application in the target client that can be assigned immediately to the messages.
RSCC_VERIFY is delivered with SAPKB46B49, SAPKB46C35 and SAPKB46D24. In older releases, you can create the report in the ABAP editor (transaction SE38) in accordance with the attached advance correction. Use the development class or the STRM package for this.

Large number of attributes for a characteristic

I have the requirement to add like 100 attributes to the 0Material object. This object already have 120 attributes, what would result in a total ol 220 attributes. Although I know the technical limit is 750, I'd like to know if anybody has heard or experienced some performance or any kind of issue because of having such a big number of attributes in an object (0Material being particularly critical). I dont know the upper limit, but I think 80 is too much. I have never used more than 15-20. For Nav attributes, a seperate tables are created which causes the Performance issue as result in new join at query run time. Just ask your business guy, if these can be reduced.One way could be to model these attributes as seperate characteristics. It will certainly help.

Maximum number of attributes in a session?

Is there a limit to the number of attributes that can be placed in an httpsession? I can place 8 unique attributes before i get a servlet error and a nullpointer exception using Tomcat and the latest jdk.

It appears that this is fixed in Tomcat 4.0.1. The httpSessionFacade in Tomcat 3.0.1 was buggy.

Icbaccountsd: Excessive number of unncessary syncs - Denying request for sync!

From time to time, my console gets flooded with hundreds of icbaccountsd messages until, finally, this "icbaccountsd: __17-[ICBServer sync]_block_invoke: Excessive number of unncessary syncs - Denying request for sync!" appears (interestingly, the message has a typo, suggesting that this is not a common error). I have tried a few things with no result (I can trigger this every time I open Internet Accounts in System Preferences). As my MBP 10.9.1 is quite slow (and really slow when waking up from sleep) and Mail is from time to time unresponsive (with frequent "void CGSUpdateManager" and "UI updates were finally reenabled by application "Mail" after 23.26 seconds"), I would like to know if this could be related.

Another update:
Once I connected the restored iPhone (clean, no apps) to iCloud, my Mac was logged out of the iCloud account (no Signed Out). The password was missing, some of the services were active (Safari, Find my Mac) and some were inactive (Mail, Notes, AddressBook) but I could not change anything, as the Pref pane was asking for the password (email, contacts, and notes gone). In the Console, I read something about Keychain. Instead of adding the password again, that I've done before with multiple issues including multiple copies of Contacts in AddressBook, I decided to Sign Out from iCloud. Reviewed Keychain, but everything seemed OK (no problems after verification). I found multiple Apple ID entries and deleted all of them (all these with some restarts... this looks more and more like Windows). Signed in in iCloud again.... and since then everything fine. No more icbaccountsd messages. Now, reinstalling all apps in my iPhone (no fun at all).

My wife's Iphone 4 shows an excessive number of emails after trash has been emptied. What is the fix for this?

My wife recently emptied her email trash. All emails were deleted, the Email icon shows a number of almost 4,000 emails. Since trash is definately empty, how can this excessive and false number be removed?

Please follow the steps given below:
1. Using transaction OK02 create a user profile, preferably by copying from an existing profile
2. Now go in for detailed screen of the created user profile
3.Enter status number (you can number them as 1,2,3..),status in short form (like "PROD' for "under production"),
3.Now select the status created by clicking on the left side and click "object types" at the top. Among the objects listed select "Network Header & Activity"
4.Go back to the detailed screen and double click the status. Here you select "Change activity / element number" as forbidden.
Now set this status to your network.
You can select the status profile by opening the network in CJ20N ->edit->Status->System/User Status, or by assigning the user profile to the transaction in customizing transaction:OPSC

Undefined number of attributes

Guys, I'll try to keep this short.
let's say I'd want to create a job which adds new entries to IdM. Source is a .txt file with ; in between each entry.
Problem is each line in this .txt (so each new full entry) may contain a different amount of attributes, how do I do this?
Example to make it easier to understand:
Let's say I want to mass add users to business roles. So I have my job created which uses the MSKEYVALUE of the business role to select the right one. Then I start putting things in the MXMEMBER privilege. But atm I need to make sure that I have the exact same amount of members for every Business Role otherwise the job crashes with an error.
I was thinking of using sub-tables but I'm not 100% sure how to accomplish this, any help would be appreciated.

I tried the multivalue delimiter approach but the problem I'm having then is that my MSKEYVALUE isn't transformed in an MSKEY.
So what I have now is:
brolemskeyvalue; <usermskeyvalue>;<usermskeyvalue>
if I change that to:
brolemskeyvalue; <usermskeyvalue>|<usermskeyvalue>
I get the problem that the brackets (<>) aren't read in a correct way, so what he reads then is <usermskeyvalue (without the ending bracket for some reason)

What if I want to add more attributes exceeding the limiation? (One solutions would be to split the attributes. Is there any other solution? )

Mail.app making excessive number of connections

I have had (as have many other folks I know) this annoying issue of Mail.app suddenly throwing up a dialog asking for my password for a mailserver. For unknown reasons (until now) sooner or later the behavior would self-correct and the password requests would cease.
Seems I've tracked this down. One of my current email providers has a hard-limit of 50 simultaneous requests per IP address. I have 4 email accounts on that server. This *always* fails. In their IMAP server log files they see:
May 4 11:06:33 server308 dovecot: imap-login: Maximum number of connections from user+IP exceeded (mail_max_userip_connections): user=<[email protected]>, method=PLAIN, rip=65.190.84.57, lip=69.65.10.232, TLS
So even though my mail check interval is set to 5 minutes, the server is seeing 50+ IMAP connections.
I have configured the same email account in Thunderbird, and even set the update interval to 1 minute, and I do not hit the max connections.
Anyone have any idea why Mail.app would be trying to make 50+ connections? Or simply not closing the connections it opened previously?

Excessive number of texts ... Text not sent

I'm a high school coach who uses text lists to mass contact his kids about workouts, etc. I have over a hundred kids and parents in a group and use either handcent or chomp to communicate. Problem is I keep getting a message to the effect that there are a large number of texts being sent out, and to press "here" to allow them. Pressing "here" doesn't work for but one or two and I have to spend way too much time finishing the transmission. I have unlimited texting with my service. Any ideas?
