Exchange Mailflow Rule (Office 365); Signature is not placed Correctly in reply's to mail and is placed in the bottom of the message instead of immediately after your response.

Is there a way to change the placement of the Signature that the MailFlow Rule generates? Right now it is placing it at the end of the e-mail chain instead of at the end of the client response.

Exchange 2007 to Office 365.

Hello,
We're upgrading our Exchange 2007 to Office 365. We can't store a small portion of our emails in office 365 (cloud) due to contract obligations that says storing data outside of the UK is not allowed.
I can see there is a way to create a pst on a network location to store this small portion of data but when my pc is away from the office network, i receive an error saying it can't find the PST. Is there a way to stop the error appearing? I only want the pst folder to appear if they are on the office network? Or do you have a different solution i mind to solve our problem?

Migrate Exchange 2003 to Office 365

Dear all,
We are going to migrate Exchange 2003 to Office 365. Because of the large number of mailboxes and mail databases, we decide to build hybrid to support coexistence during the migration period.
According to "Exchange Server Deployment Assistant" I found that we can build more Exchange 2010 for that requirement

I just wonder that after deploying the Exchange 2010, can we move directly the mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to Office 365 or we need to move to Exchange 2010 first (as a "buffer") before moving to Office 365

The main goal of a staged migration is to migrate Exchange on-premises servers when:
1. You have more than 2000 mailboxes.
2. You plan to migrate over a few weeks and months rather than in a single batch.
3. You want to migrate to the Cloud completely and remove your on-premises Exchange deployment.
Hybrid scenarios are useful when you do not want to remove your on-premises deployment. In some cases there is no technical possibility, it is not cost-effective etc. to move a whole organization to Office 365. In these situations you may decide that moving
only some mailboxes to Office 365 is a good option and create a hybrid deployment.
You need to consider all pros and cons, especially when Exchange 2003 has gone out of support lifecycle and then choose the better option for your organization.

Office 365 ProPlus App-V 5.0 Package installs Lync, Outlook, Infopath and Onenote even though they are not selected for publishing

I have created an App-V 5.0 Package for Office 365 ProPlus using the documentation provided here:

I am able to load the App-V Package into my SCCM 2012 SP1 environment and deploy the package to a test machine
Within SCCM, I have configured the deployment type to only select a couple of applications. Notice that Lync, Outlook, Infopath and Onenote are not selected.

For my deployment type, I only selected Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Looking at my test machine, those 3 applications now show up in my start screen.

I don't see any of the other Office applications be default on my start screen, so I would think all looks good. If I type another Office application, lets say access at the start screen I get, "No apps match your search."

But if I type Lync, Outlook, Infopath or Onenote, it shows me that those applications are available, and I can launch them as an App-V application just as I could Excel, Word or Powerpoint, the applications that I wanted to have available.
This is not what I was expecting when I went through the trouble to create an App-V package. It looks like almost all of the apps become available on my client machine, all App-V is doing is making the application button in the start screen a little
harder to find.
What is interesting is that for the applications I did want published, I can search for them by just entering a few letters of the application name, and they show up with the 2013 version label, see below for an example search for Word.

For the applications that I did not publish but still show up on my client, I have to type in the full name of the application for the launch button to come up. For example, I can't type lyn and expect to see Lync, but if i type lync I will get an
option to launch the application. The same goes for Outlook, Infopath and Onenote, and when you do type in the full namke of the app, it doesn't show the version number like Word does as Word 2013, it just shows Lync, or Outlook, or Infopath, or
Onenote.

Can anyone from Microsoft confirm that this is expected behavior. If this is to be expected this is pretty disappointing, because a main point of the App-V package is it is the only way to limit which applications are deployed via Office 365 ProPlus
but from what I can tell, it really isn't limiting anything beyond the start screen for most cases.

Office 365 pro plus not getting activate

after install office 365 pro plus, i am trying to activate the product using my assigned email id for the activation. every time when i try to activate it will appear below error. i am using our company proxy address for internet connection.
using my email id i am able to access office 365 portal but not able to activate.

Office 365 ProPlus will not install

Hi,
I have tried many attempts at manually installing Office 365 ProPlus using the deployment toolkit but so far nothing has worked. I downloaded the bits first and I'm now trying to install Office using the deployment toolkit. This test is in preparation of
a deployment of Office 365 ProPlus throughout our organization. The bits are copied to C:\Office365 and actually reside in C:\Office365\Data. I copied the deployment toolkit to C:\Office 365.
The test computer is freshly imaged using Windows 7 SP1 Enterprise 32-bit from media and is in a workgroup so I don't get any company policies added. All available Windows updates have been installed. Windows Update is enabled but set to only notify
about updates rather than automatically install.
Install.xml looks like this:

I open a command window as administrator, navigate to C:\Office365 and run - setup /configure C:\Office365\install.xml. I changed the command line in many ways but it always fails to install with the same error message. A window appears that says
"Couldn't install - We're sorry, we had a problem installing your Office program(s). Is your internet connection working? Do you have enough free space on your main hard drive? Please try installing again after you've checked the above.
My internet connection is good and my hard drive has over 100GB free. I tried clicking the link "Go online for additional help" but that didn't help at all. The Windows Firewall is turned off. No anti-virus is installed and no proxy is in use.
Does anyone know how to move past this issue?

I can see it installing now but I need to be sure it's not pulling bits from the internet. I had this happen before when I completely removed the SourcePath. Display level is set to "full" but I am not getting an interface. When I'm done with this
project, display level will be 'none' but I changed it for now just to see something happen.
UPDATED:
I reinstalled Windows 7 SP1 and did not install any drivers. The test computer has no network connectivity of any kind because drivers are required. I copied my downloaded bits to the test computer and ran the install. Office 365 installed without any errors.
I'm absolutely convinced that there is no way the bits were downloaded on-demand in this configuration.
Here is the final XML file I used:

In a mixed client environment, mostly Outlook 2010 & 2013 clients. Only Outlook 2013 clients (about only 4 mailboxes) are receiving this error immediately after sending an email. My temp band-aid at the
moment is to: from the client, go into the "address book" & select a different address book like "Contacts" & then select the address again & select the Global Address List, which is the default. (it will have the users email
+ at the beginning of the field, it reads, Global Address List - (email of the user), then I close Outlook & open it back up, & the problem is solved. But on some mailboxes, not all, the issue comes back. From my research, I know that our individual
mailboxes do not send out over 500 emails in one day. Most users will send out maybe 20 or 30 in one day, so I don't think it's that.
But I'm not sure if this is related, but I have noticed that the log files for the Exchange 2010 seems to only hold logs with date stamps of only a couple of days. It used to hold log files indefinitely until they were archived, deleted, etc. So, this is
a new, unusual issue I have seen as well.
We have 2 .edb's, one active: 78 GB's and one disabled at 7 GB's. Exchange 2010 is running on Windows Server 2008 r2, Enterprise Ed. We have had Exchange 2010 running now for about almost 2 years now and this is the first time this particular issue has come
up.

You can refer to the following steps to rebuild an Offline Address Book.
1. Open EMS. Update OAB using the Update-OfflineAddressbook "offline address book" cmdlet. Restart Background Intelligent Transfer Service on the Mailbox server.
2. Initiate OAB replication from mail box server to CAS server. Execute for each CAS server using the Update-FileDistributionService "CASServerName" cmdlet.
3. Start Outlook and download OAB.

All three of these users are in her address book, and are all in her office residing on the same Office 365 domain account.

- This entailed manually downloading/updating the address book via 'Send/Receive --> Download Address Book...'. The second method in that article had me rename/move/delete the Address Book files stored on the local machine, and then allow them to

That's the kind of message you will see when trying to send on behalf of/send as another user, when you don't have the necessary permissions added. Or you are using the wrong send method, or using an outdated name cache entry, or the OAB is outdated.

Reh... Doesn't work on my 2012 Mac mini. A function key set in Sys Prefs worked in Leopard and Lion on my MB but I cannot get any key to work using SysPref Dictation & Speech. It is befuddling and now I have to go to Edit-Speech to turn on and turn off speech to selected text.
I have used Macs and Apple 2es since cave man days and Apple is becoming so befuddling I am wondering if there is even an advantage to it over Windows XP. I spent a lot on this little box, it looks good (the first one had to be exchanged as it wouldn't link to my keyboard ???) but Apple intuitive does no longer seem meaningful.
If speech to text no longer is accessible by short cuts using Fkeys, why bother to have it in Syst Prefs?

somehow i couldn't get rid of one website called www.searchqu.com/405 set as my homepage... I tried all solutions given to change the homepage but whenever i restarted firefox that homepage used to come automatically.. You don't say which operating system you have installed?
Assuming it's Windows, right click a blank part of the Windows Taskbar and go to Task Manager. Then click the ''Processes ''tab, find '''firefox.exe''' and then right click it and choose '''End Process'''.
