Exchange / Outlook Forms

I have a user who saved some emails that were created by Outlook Forms.  The user filled out a form from our Forms library on Exchange.  The user archives these emails for audit purposes.   The forms were deleted from Exchange a few months
ago and now when the user opens the saved email, it's blank.  Is this normal behavior?  What options do I have?
d

If the form definition is not accessible, then yes. Typically its cached on the local client, but not always. If the cache is cleared, then it will need to retrieve it again from the server.

  • Exchange/Outlook 2007 and Oracle Calendar Collaboration

    Hi Guys!
I have a situation here in my incoming migration project. Is it really possible that an Oracle Calendar and Exchange/Outlook 2007 Calendar will collaborate or synchronize with each other? I only know that theres an Oracle Connector for Outlook in Oracle Collaboration suite, which will synchronize to Exchange/outlook calendar, but i didnt heard if the Exchange/Outlook Calendar will synchronized to Oracle Calendar simulataneously.
Please let me know if its possible or if theres a work around on this since we preferred them both to exists.
Thanks and i look forward on your replies.
    Regards,
    LRM

    Same problem here.
All Day events entered in Outlook 2007 on my work machine that have ALL DAY checked and are only on that ONE Day, seem to come out fine. If however we have an all-day event that goes multiple days, then it enters it on my iphone taking up 00:00-00:00, which is very messy if you have two ALL-day envents on the same day (when tracking different personnel for example).
I have noticed the real annoying item though is that changing it on my iPhone 4 directly, that once I put in the right start and end dates, and choose ALL DAY, about 5 seconds later it actually changes the START DAY! This makes you go back to change the start day, then it changes the end day so you change that, and now finally all sorted.
This NEVER happened on my iPhone3G that I have used with Excahgne for over two years now. Only since I got my iPhone4.
    PLEASE Apple, fix this!!!!

  • HT204093 I can't add an Exchange (outlook) mail to Apple Mail

Hi community, I've been able to add Gmail addresses via 'internet accounts' to be used with Apple Mail app, but my outlook addresses don't work. The setup process asks for the server address and nothing seems to work, I've tried: m.hotmail.com, s.outlook.com the smpt & imap server addresses, but nothing. Mail doesn't sync in the app. Please advice ! I'm using OSX 10.9.5 on my macbook & 10.10.2 on my imac.
I want to switch to Mail as Outlook 2011 is driving me crazy: the beach balloon keeps on appearing which freezes the application & i constantly have to re-enter my passwords for Outlook addresses. Gmail in general works fine.

Exchange (Outlook) mail is for businees use or you do have a Office 365 subscription.

You can also add your ISP mailaccount to Mac Mail.
Mail  >>  Preferences >>  Accounts tab.
Click the button to Add another email account  >>  Continue.
At the most ISP you can choose for IMAP setting (that is what I did).
Then you do have to configure manually.

  • I can't receive some iCal invitations in MS Exchange Outlook.

At work I use MS Exchange Outlook. I also use an iPhone and an iPad. When certain people send me iCal invitations, I don't receive an email in MS Exchange Outlook and, therefore, can't add them to my MS Exchange Outlook calendar. When they appear in my apple devices, the invitation doesn't include my MS Outlook calendar as an option. What do I do?

What's your account type in your Outlook? Does the issue only happen to meeting request? How about sending or receiveing emails?
Please check whether the meeting request can be send and receive in Webmail. Also check whether you can send/receive meeting request from Windows users.

  • How to sync appts from phone to Exchange/Outlook

With the HTC Trophy and Windows 7, the calendar syncs from Exchange Outlook to my phone just fine.  If I enter an appt on my phone, how do you get it to sync with Exchange and appear on my Outlook calendar?

It should immediately sync to exchange (hotmail, google calander, etc.) if you have a data connection
you don't need to manually sync on the phone, perhaps your exchagne account needs to f9 refresh (outlook 2010) or whatever.
On the phone you could force a sync in settings... email+account... tap/hold over the account.... refresh

  • Help w/CSS Keepalive for Exchange Outlook Web

    Hi,
We're CSS newbies here, need some suggestions in terms of best keepalive methods for Exchange Outlook over Web. We currently have couple exchange web servers behind a CSS 11503, We need to monitor the health of the services beyond port 80 and 443, perhaps at https page level - "https://vip address/exchange/logon.asp"
Thanks in advance for the help,
    Howard

    Howard,
there is currently no way to do an HTTPS keepalive.
The reason is the CSS can't do ssl.
    Only the ssl module can.
So, you will have to limit the keepalive to TCP.
For the port 80, you can create an http keepalive.
Use the command 'keepalive type [tcp|http]' inside the service configuration to select your keepalive.
IF chosing http, you need to provide a url with the command 'keepalive uri "url"'
    Regards,
    Gilles.

  • Exchange/Outlook

How do you sync calendar appointments created on mobile me with an exchange server?
It'll show up on the iphone but it won't show up in Outlook that is part of an exchange server.

They are on 2 different servers. Can't be done unless you cache your exchange outlook data, set MobileMe to sync that cached data and setup MobileMe on the iPhone.

  • Syncing iPad calendar with Exchange / Outlook

    Hello,
i have a problem with syncing the calendar of an Exchange/Outlook User and his Exchange ActiveSync Account on different iPads (iOS 7.1.1 and 5.1.1).
If i got a meeting request and accept it provisionally on an iPad, and some time after, finally accept it in Outlook, the iPad doesn't recognize the change of state. Moments later, the meeting in Outlook change back to provisionally. All the expected mails have been send and recieved.
If i go the other way and accept it provisionally in Outlook and accept it finally on the iPad, it seems to be that the Users Outlook recongnize the accept, but the one who asks for that meeting don't get this change of state.
To me it seems, that the first reaction on on invitation is recognized on both systems (Outlook and iPad) and on both sides (asking and answering of that invitation). But if later a change of state appears, the iPad don't get it right (from Outlook) or don't send the right messages for triggering that change (from iPad).
And rarely a second issue seems to appear: meetings are vanishing from the iPad Calendar but they are definitly exist in Outlook.
Is there a Problem with ActiveSync from iPad (and iPhones i think) to Exchange 2007? Can it be solved? Or are there some workarounds?
Thanks for any help in advance.
    Greetings
    Karsten

    Hi,
Do you have an Gmail account configured in Outlook used for mail, contact and calendar managing?
The announcement indicates the Google Calendar Sync can’t be used to sync your Outlook calendar (and contacts) with Gmail. If you don't use Gmail for email but need to sync Outlook Calendar with a smartphone, we can consider to user Outlook.com account to
sync calendar. Here is an reference about sync calendar and contacts using Outlook.com:

If you want to sync Google calendar to Outlook, we can also find any third-party tools to achieve it:

  • Creating a Exchange Outlook Portlet on your portal

I have been look around for a way to create an Exchange Outlook portlet on a 11g portal. I have been seeing many different post, but no direct answer. Could someone direct me in a way to accomplish this?
Im just looking for a way for users to see their emails, contact and calendar.
    Thanks

    Hi
We have a similar situation. We would like to use external apps .net Portal as landing site for external users. After they are logged in, they can click on istore (EBS) and access it without having to provide the credentials again. I know OAM can handle heterogeneous environments. But the question is how will the credentials be handed over to EBS HTTP server once users have logged into .net app? I know OAM creates the SSO cookies, but will it work ? How can we “hand-over” the credentials to EBS HTTP….
We cannnot show EBS as portlet in .net portal, atleast thats what my developers are telling me. Any input is highly appreciated.

  • Need to pass user dn to exchange process form

Hi, We are during one POC, where the requirement is when user gets created in AD, then its dn is created. Can we get the dn of the user in AD process form or exchange process form? Have anybody worked on such requirement. Please let me know if anybody has any idea on this.
    Thanks.

Yes, there is a way. Create one field Distinguished Name in the UD_ADUSER process form. Right after "Create User" task in the "AD User" workflow, write a custom process task which reads Object GUID from the AD User process form and fetches distingusihedName attribute from AD.
Alternatively, since the user is freshly created by using the parameters given by you (i.e. Common Name and Organization Name), you can also obtain DN by appending them.
Suppose, Common Name=John,Milton1 and OU is 341~OU=Finance,OU=Marketing,DC=ABC,DC=XYZ. Append escape character back slash (i.e. \) to comma in Common Name and remove 341~ (i.e. ADITResource server key) from OU.
    So, ditinguishedName would be: CN=John\,Milton1,OU=Finance,OU=Marketing,DC=ABC,DC=XYZ.
Recommended approach is to use JNDI call in the process task just after Create User.

  • The custom form cannot be opened. outlook will use an outlook form instead

    Hi,
I was referred to this forum by the Outlook team who thought you may be able to help.
I am getting the above error periodically on my Outlook 2010 at work.
I have a few email accounts defined on this and there appears to be no particular event that triggers the error message which regularly occurs every 10 to 15 minutes.
I have looked at other posts for this which suggest clearing the cache and emptying the FORMS folder which I have done but the problem just keeps reoccuring as usual.
The same file keeps appearing in the Forms folder called OUTLOOK.GL1 where GL1 is the name I gave to the email account that is on an MS Exchange server.
The file contains only 4 text charachters.
Now I havent added any customs forms at all, and certainly not in the last few days since this error has been appearing.
I have no idea where to look for any form definitions or where any forms might be required.
Can anyone offer some suggestions as to how I can go about solving this as clicking ok to this error message 6 times every 10 minutes is driving me nuts.
    Thanks, George.

    Hi George,
The lastest is with this link: http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?id=64
There are a few options to try when clearing the cache doesn't work.

    Hi mukeshps,
I have some tests in my lab. I use Exchange 2010 with Outlook 2013. Both sending forms directly and saving forms as .msg file can send successfully.
I would like to verify if all Outlook 2007 users can't receive the forms.
If the issue happens to one user, the user can clear the forms cache to troubleshoot the issue.
Here is a thread for your reference.
