However I found a script:

  • Exchange server send email issue

I can receive but not sent emails to my 1 and 1 exchange server. Some time ago my exchange email started playing up on my I phone, i don't use it often so i ignored it. Shortly after followed problems with my iPad and my mac. I talked to my service provider who could not fix my problem. My exchange server works perfectly on a PC and on Safari. The error message when I try to send mail says unexpected data.

It's been quite a while since I worked with CF 5, but you can
try setting up the mail server address like this:
    username:[email protected]
On a side note, is there any reason why you (or the client)
are not considering an upgrade? I mean, I think HTTP 1.1 was still
    the standard when 5 was released - it's about 40 "
technology years" old now. *just wondering*

  • Emailing photo using MS Exchange Server sends multiple copies of the same email

Emailing 1 photo using Microsoft Outlook Exchange server sends multiple copies of the same email and photo.  50+ at last count.  Also, since I emailed the photo to myself, then deleted these multiple copies from my inbox and sent items, my work Outlook exchange server will no longer sync.  Is there a solution for this?
Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)

    Thanks for your reply.
I have restarted multiple times.  I have also removed and re-added outlook exchange email 3 times.  This only affects exchange server email.  I can send the photo from my gmail and it only receives 1 copy.  I was wondering if this was a known issue and if someone had a fix for it.  Otherwise would have to wait for the next WebOS update.

  • MimeMessage.reply() issue with MS Exchange Server 2007 Emails

I have an application that retrieves emails from an MS Exchange Server 2003 mailbox. The data from each message is read, validated and conditionally loaded to a table. If the message doesn't pass validation, a rejection email is sent back to the sender with an error message and a copy of the email. (We're using Java 1.5. However, I test with both 1.5 and 1.6.)
Also, if the message passes validation, positive notification is sent back to the sender.
Both processes use the method: javax.mail.Message.reply()It's coded as:
MimeMessage reply = (MimeMessage) message.reply(false); My organization is in the process of migrating to MS Exchange Server 2007. We've found that the reply() method no longer finds the sender method, thus unable to create a reply message. The error message we receive is:
    javax.mail.SendFailedException: No recipient addresses
         at javax.mail.Transport.send0(Transport.java:110)
         at javax.mail.Transport.send(Transport.java:80)

         at org.ccci.gms.datacollector.DataCollector.processMessages(DataCollector.java:162)
at org.ccci.gms.datacollector.DataCollector.main(DataCollector.java:101)After creating the MimeMessage object from the reply() method, I printed out the email header detail from both 2003 and 2007 messages. You'll note from below that the "To" or recipient address is missing from Server 2007.

When the original message is accessed using IMAP, the reply method uses the information in the
IMAP ENVELOPE to determine where to send the reply. It first looks for the Reply-To address
in the ENVELOPE, then the From address.
Interestingly, when not using IMAP, the getFrom method returns the Sender header if the From
header is empty. The IMAP-specific code doesn't do that, although perhaps it should.
It would be interesting to compare the ENVELOPE data from the protocol trace in the two cases.
The ENVELOPE data will follow this syntax:
    envelope     = "(" env-date SP env-subject SP env-from SP
              env-sender SP env-reply-to SP env-to SP env-cc SP
              env-bcc SP env-in-reply-to SP env-message-id ")"
So it's the first three address fields after the Subject that are relevant. If the From and Reply-To
fields are NIL, but the Sender field has a valid address, let me know. I should probably fix the
IMAP provider to fall back to the Sender field if the From field is missing.

  • Exchange and sending emails

Hi guys I am creating a tool that pulls email from an
exchange server (still figuring out how to do this witht he new
exchange support). But whan I nned is a simple example that shows
how do send an email using cfexchange to open the conection to
pass, lets say, an email contact form.
I can't seem to locate an example on line.
    Thanks for the help!
    Frank

The new CFEXCHANGE tags will not send a message. You still
need to use CFMAIL to send a message. CFEXCHANGEMAIL can manipulate
messages, but it cannot create them.

  • IPhone and Microsoft Exchange Server , 'Send As' Function

    Hi there
Well as described in the topic. Is it possible to send emails from the iPhone, using another smtp server?
    Why I need this?
Well, some people in our company have 2 separate Mail Accounts.
One for everything and one for the iPhone. They can then create rules by themself for which emails they want to be forwarded to their iPhone.
The problem is, when they answer using the iPhone, they would like their regular email address to appear, so that all mails still arrive at the regular mail account.
    Can anyone help me?
I hope I've expressed myself clear
Thanks for your help in advance

    Try this:
    1. On your Exchange server that runs your active sync or outlook web access, open IIS
    2. Right click on the website that contains exchange components and choose properties.
    3. Select the "Directory Security" tab
    4. Under "Secure Communications", click the "Edit" button
    5. Under "Client Certificates", select "Ignore Client Certificates"
    6. *IMPORTANT STEP: When you click ok and ok again, it may ask you whether you want to change other subfolders within the main container with the modifications you have just made, dont select any of these subfolders, just click OK. It is only the main properties you need to change. Those that need to inherit, should already inherit properly. If you select other subfolders to change with the modifications you have just made, it will likely ruin your active directory setup as some subfolders need different security settings to others.

  • SMTP Server Sending Emails from mymac.local

I ran a "fetchmail -a" command in terminal not thinking it would work from the command line. It worked and downloaded all my mail from Gmail locally to my mac into /var/me/mail. About 8000 messages in total.
But it also started relaying all those messages through a postfix program I didn't know was running.
From what I can tell it tried to relay every message I was sent in my gmail to mymac.local and when it couldn't it send NDR messages back to the address that was trying to send it (i.e. the original sender that sent it to my gmail).
So to cut a long story short everyone who ever sent me an email got an NDR saying a message they sent to mymac.local could not be delivered. I was spamming them but I did not know it until a few hours later. At that time I killed the postfix program that (i think) was running an SMTP server relay on my machine. (I have MAMP installed for web development)
I still do not know if it has stopped sending as I cannot view what has been sent or not been sent in any log files.
How do I make sure everything (SMTP relays/postfix etc.) has stopped sending?
How do I turn off ability to send anything from my local machine?

    Hi,
Some ISPs will only allow a device to send emails from their server when its connecting to the Internet over their network.
If the iPod touch is connecting to the Internet over the cellular network, you will most likely have to enable an alternate outgoing mail server(one that can only send over the cellular network). This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1426 provides more details about enabling alternate SMTP servers.
You can avoid ISP related send mail issues by switching to another email provider, like MobileMe, Yahoo!, or Gmail.

  • Exchange Server 2003 Email setup on IPHONE and IPOD Touch

Hi we have Exchange Server 2003 (SP2) on Windows Standard Server 2003 and we can access OWA from any browser and also am able to setup Exchange server Emails on Blackberry device without any problem but when I try to setup on IPHONE or IPOD touch I get error message saying Can not connet to server. I tried to get the answer on google and seems like it should work but seems like I need to some other settings on exchange server to setup exchange server email on Iphone or Ipod. Any idea what could be the issue.

Sorry I forgot to tell you that I tried without Exchange also.
I tested my activsync Connectivity test from https://testexchangeconnectivity.com/ and it fails at SSL. (Port 80 and 443 shows open and passed) In our server we bought SSL scertificate last year from godaddy and installed as I thought it requires but later on I removed as I was not able to setup iphone. So I don't know what could be the exact problem.

  • Server Sending emails?

    Hi all there,
I have a small confusion on how a WEB_SERVER should sent emails.
What i want to do is sent an email from a Server to an User when he/she registers.
Do i have to open a Socket to my SMTP and sent the msg from there? And if yes is the Web_server supposed to be my SMTP's client?
Or do i just send the message from the Web server? If i use this approoach (much more easier than the socket part) what Ips will be displayed at the mail header my servers ips or the clients ips that executed the JSP that send the message?

I'm not really following all of what you're saying, but I'll answer the best I can...
I am not sure if in the header of the email that is
sent the "Recieved From" field is the IP of the
Server or the IP of the client. What do you mean by "server" and "client" here? Regardless, the easiest way to find that out is to send an email to yourself, look at the headers, and see what's what.
I can in no way force a User to login to my SMTP nor
to give my his password so that i can log his. And to
leave my SMTP open so that it doesnt check from where
the mail comes isnt good either. The user doesn't need to login to your SMTP server. Your servlet does. (Well, actually, the servlet shouldn't be doing much of anything but forwarding requests to the appropriate business objects. So your business object--that doesn't know or care whether it's in a servlet context--will log into your SMTP server). Presumably you can provide the appropriate credentials in a config file that your app can use to authenticate to your SMTP server. Or you may be able to configure your SMTP server to just always accept requests from your app's host's IP. This is how it's set up at my company when I send emails. The actual mechanics of configuring SMTP servers can be a bit of a black art though. I know diddly about it--our admins configured ours for me.
So if the ip is from the server i could somehow tell
to my SMTP to allow the mail to be sent. Or if i
should use authentication in my SMTP server.
But if the Ip is from the client i cant check.Server == your app? Client == the web browser that's contacting your servlet?
If so, then see my previous blabber. If I understand your problem correctly, you have a web app, and you want the client to be able to do something that causes email to be sent. Sounds to me like sending the email is a server-side task here, so your app can contact your SMTP server by whatever means is appropriate for that environment.
An the other hand i want the Ip of the header to be
from the client so that the message sent has "HIS
PRINT" on. You want the "received-from" header to show the client's IP? I don't think you can do that. At least, I don't know how you'd make it ultimately appear that the client's machine originated the email. You can get his IP address from the servlet request or headers--or at least the public IP address that his company or ISP is presenting.
But I don't know why you'd need that. Just ask him to enter a "from" email address and set that appropriately. You could maybe add your own X- whatever header that has his (apparent) IP address "X-MyApp-Client-IP:" or something, if you feel you need it for tracking purposes. I really don't know what you'd actually do with that IP though, except maybe use it to contact his ISP if he causes problems or something.
Do i make any sence?I think I'm kind of getting it. Not totally sure though. :-)
And to tell the truth i dont know what i want it to
be. That suggests that you don't have a pressing need for it to be any one thing (whatever "it" is), so just letting it be whatever it happens to be by doing things the most straightforward way is probably sufficient.
Having to write the Socket will force me to SEND the
email from the SMTP and not through the Java API.
There is my confusion.Mine too. I have no clue what you're saying here. Even if you make a socket connection, you won't be doing anything diferent that the JavaMail API does. It might be that you can send some data that JavaMail doesn't give you an option to send. But I'd suggest that if that's the case, there's probably a good reason JavaMail doesn't give you that option. But I'm not an expert on the guts of JavaMail or the details of SMTP, so that's just a guess.

  • Exchange Server 2013 email rejections from free ISP accoounts

We have an Exchange 2013 box, and we are getting random mail no deliveries to mostly free email isps (gmail, hotmail, yahoo, and aol) where errors are like:
    Generating server: OPCSEX.opcs.local
    Receiving server: mailin-04.mx.aol.com (64.12.91.196)
    [email protected]
    8/31/2014 2:56:52 PM - Remote Server at mailin-04.mx.aol.com (64.12.91.196) returned '550 4.4.7 QUEUE.Expired; message expired'
8/31/2014 1:49:53 PM - Remote Server at mailin-04.mx.aol.com (64.12.91.196) returned '451 4.4.0 Primary target IP address responded with: "554 mtaig-mcb02.mx.aol.com ESMTP not accepting connections." Attempted failover to alternate host, but that
did not succeed. Either there are no alternate hosts, or delivery failed to all alternate hosts. The last endpoint attempted was 64.12.91.196:25'
When I research I am reading thinks like the mail record should be a cname, not a record. That dosent make sense to me. Is there a tool that can help me track down the issue, or that verifies that all my DNS records are correct?
    Thanks

    Hi,
In your case, I recommend you create a send connector that force HELO for these problematic domains and check the result. Use the following cmdlet to create the special send connector.
    New-SendConnector -Name ForceHelo -AddressSpaces problematicdomain.com -ForceHELO $true
Hope this can be helpful to you.

  • Configure Exchange to send emails to external addresses

I am working on a demo and I installed Exchange 2010 on the development environment for using in the Demo. Now I need to send e-mails outside of the development environment - to the actual corporate email addresses and I have been given a mail relay "smtp.corp.XXX.com".
How do I configure Exchange to use that mail relay and (1) send e-mails from the dev Exchange and (2) receive emails using the mail relay? Can someone please help?
I do not have any knowledge/experience about Exchange. I was just  given Exchange setup files and I installed it using the default configuration. So it would be helpful if you could point to some step-by-step articles.
    Thanks a lot!
    John

    Hi John,
We can following these steps to create a relay connector in Hub Transport server:
    1.Open Exchange Management Console.
2.Expand Server Configuration > Hub Transport.
    3. Select the desired Hub Transport.
4.Click on New Receive Connector item located on the Toolbox Actions.
    5. On the Introduction page, Name our connector (Relay) and select Custom, then click Next.
    6. On the Local Network settings page, remove the existing
All Available IPv4 entry. Add a dedicated IP address for this connector, set the Port to 25 and specific the FQDN: smtp.corp.XXX.com.
    7. In Remote Network settings page, remove the default IP range and click Add button to
type the IP address or IP address range for the remote messaging server or servers that are allowed to relay mail on this server.
    8. Click OK to add it and then Next to continue.
    9. Click New button to complete the wizard.
    10. In the work pane, select the Receive connector that you created.
    11. Under the name of the Receive connector in the action pane, click Properties to open the Properties page.
    12. Click the Permission Groups tab. Select Anonymous users.
    13. Click OK to save your changes and exit the Properties page.
    14. Run the following command to grant relay permission to anonymous connections on the new Receive connector:
    Get-ReceiveConnector "Relay" | Add-ADPermission -User "NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON" -ExtendedRights "Ms-Exch-SMTP-Accept-Any-Recipient"
Here is an article about it:

  • Using alias for sending email from Microsoft Exchange

    Hi there,
I have Exchange 2010 server installed.
There are 5 domains hosted on this server.
I can receive mail if sent fo email@domain1, @domain2 etc...
I cannot send mail using email@domain2 , it always goes out as @domain1
How can I resolve this issue ?
    many thanks for any help

Long standing question as to how to choose the sending domain name as (be default) must be a default set. You can change the default in ESM, but I am guessing you want to allow senders to choose on the fly.
Since there are multiple ways of accomplishing this do an internet search on the following:
exchange 2010 multiple domains ability choose sending address
This is probably the best single explanation:
    http://www.slipstick.com/exchange/exchange-server-secondary-email-addresses/

  • Set up email through exchange server - Contacts are now deleted.

I connected my phone, 3.1.3 to my work exchange server for email and outlook. Of course after doing so, I have now lost all my contacts. How can I retrieve them?

That's what happens when you share the same iCloud account.  First, migrate his phone to a different iCloud account using a different ID (you can continue to share the same ID for other services such as iTunes if you want).  To do this, on his phone save any photo stream photos that he wants to keep to his camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  If he are syncing notes with iCloud that he wants to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to him so he can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in his new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; this won't effect your phone), provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted.  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create his new account and choose Merge to upload the data.  After doing this, he can go to icloud.com and safely delete your data from his new account.
Then, if your contacts were on your phone when you last backed it up to iCloud, you can restore them by following Winston Churchill's user tip here: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4841.  This involves turning off your wifi after your phone restarts during the restore process, then saving the contacts on your phone and deleting them from iCloud prior to turning your wifi back on and allowing the restore process to finish.  You can turn off your wifi either by pulling the cord out of the WAN port in your wifi router, or by simply unplugging it.

    Hey Everyone,
If you have a Q10 with Exchange ActiveSync, can you remove emails on the server using "Delete from Hub and server" option??
I am testing this function both with an ipad and Q10. Emails removed from Ipad are removed from Exchange Server whereas emails removed from Q10 with "Delete from Hub and server" option selected are only removed from Q10 but not on the server.
Is this a broken functionality or are there incorrect settings on the phone?
