Event handling in the Web - Which class/interface deals with event control

Hello all,
When you execute a template (that was created within SAP BEx WAD) in the web browser
and you click on a web item with the cursor then an event is started. In which class or
interface is the event control implemented?

Can you run actionscript as an event handler using the "selectedItem" of a ComboBox? I prefer to do this using the XML file, but at this point I'll entertain any ideas.

I am also looking to get whether or not the document is open in a browser window which can be done with event.target.external, but I want it to happen without any user interaction and all the events that I tried while loading the document cause an error. I also tried xfa.host.name, but it always returns "Acrobat" whether the doc is in Reader or the browser, so I guess that is not it. If I put the call to event.target.external in a button, it works (I guess those libraries might not be initialized yet, they are legacy, but I don't know if there is an event that happens on load after that lib is initialized).

Print Preview texts from event handler of a web UI component enhancement

Hello,
I've enhanced View GSTEXT/List to add Print Preview button. What I've done in the event handler is to read the text with function module READ_TEXT and I have all my text in the lt_lines internal table. Now I want to View this text in PDF format. I just realized I can't call a smartform directly from my event handler and I also can't call an adobe form to do this for me. Can anyone help me on how to resolve this?

I see two things you might have done not quite right:
Why do you use "READ_TEXT" when all the data is already there in the BOL? Did you ever have a look at the logic the WebClient uses to display the text? Go check it now!
Of course you can call an Adobe or Smart Form in an event handler. The bigger problem might be getting the response to the user.
Not knowing your exact logic I would recommend:
Use the BOL to retrieve all data.
In the method where you create the button use CL_CRM_WEB_UTILITY to create the JavaScript code for a client callback handler. Then in the handler create the PDF and return it to the user. You can just set the XSTRING to the response.

The Web Management Service service terminated with service-specific error %%-2147483640,

We've been able to successfully, automatically, deploy our MVC and WebApi to IIS7.5 on Win2008 R2, for some time now. Just this week the MSDeploy stopped working. The System event log shows this error when attempting to restart the Web Management
Service on the targeted Win200 R2 server:
The Web Management Service service terminated with service-specific error %%-2147483640.
The Application log shows this error at the same exact time the above error occurs.

We've attempted to reach the target server using https://ourservername:8172/MsDeploy.axd. The response is:
Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): The server refused the connection
Is this occurring because the port is blocked or because the Web Management Service is not running? (The Windows Firewall with Advanced Security dialog says the "Windows Firewall is off" and there are no entries in the firewall log (C:\Windows\System32\LogFiles\Firewall).
We've seen some posts that indicate the certificate may be the issue. Not sure how to actually tell if this is the case though. The CERT we have says it is valid thru 2029.

Are you talking about older pictures you took before turning photo stream on? If so, they don't sync via photo stream. You have to sync them to a computer's itunes then sync to other device.

There's currently no way to monitor a whole SAP system through gridcontrol. Of course you can monitor the underlying database.

Sorry I gave this a 'this helped me' but after a long struggle I found some ticked box somewhere from some unauthorised chrome extension blaaa....... the link you gave was great, not only did it confirm all the bad things google is supposed to be up to it provided a better browser. Cheers man.
Anyone who find this; I disabled all extension in chrome. I then searched the word proxy in the settings section. A button came up, "change proxy settings" I clicked on it. Earlier it was greyed out as an extension was interefering.. It brought up a box with my own settings from my computer. Then I clicked LAN settings, then unchecked the 'Use a proxy server' button.
P.S. If you're using chrome, bail, and dowload Komodo Dragon. It's virtually identical, but you're not tracked, and you can use chrome extensions, and you can quickily transfer your chrome preferences into it.

For better Visiblity(as i didnt get any replies) of my issue i am posting the same thing in the ABAP General as well.

Multiple session handling in the Web UI

Hi all,
According to the SAP help documentation, a user can have multiple sessions open in the Web UI. However after a certain period, inactive sessions are terminated. This is certainly the behaviour that we witness on our system, the second inactive session times out after about 25 minutes.
Does anyone know how to adjust the time out of this second session, this appears to be independent of the general timeout for htttp which is set at 2hours according to the transaction SMICM.

Follow the steps mentioned by Pankaj.
Even after this the debugger did not start, do the steps below so that HTTP debugger is on
1) Run the T-code SICF
2) Search for the service name CRM_UI_FRAME in the service name. click on F8
3) Select CRM_UI_FRAME and click on the Edit Menu. Select the option Debugging --> Activate Debugging
4) This opens a pop up, give your user name and click on OK.
Now start running the application. The debugger should start.

How to make iCal Server events viewable on the web calendar?

Hi,
I can create, edit and view events on the web calendar.
I can create, edit and view my own events via iCal.
How can I set it up so we can see all the calendars from our group on the web calendar? It's empty now other than what's entered via the web calendar.
Is there really no integration between the two?

I too thought web group calendar was subscribe only in iCal until I ran across the procedure at

in the 4th comment down by protean. With a couple of additions I was able to post an event to the web group calendar and have an update on the web post back to the iCal calendar. My additions were needed to get the results as posted in the comment:
1) make sure Enable Calendaring is selected for all group members,
2) refresh iCal to ensure all group members are visible in the Personal Server Calendar Address Pane before adding the group calendar account,
3) add all members in step 3 of the procedure including yourself, however, if the owner of the group (e.g. diradmin) is not a member then don't add it,
4) prior to step 6 of the procedure you can verify the group is visible as in step 8 in the Personal Server Calendar delegation before deleting the group account; if not visible then you don't have to start from scratch, just work with the group account from step 1,
5) the group calendar shows up in the left column list of calendars under Delegates calendars.
So I got this to work.
Then I setup a location in Directory.app with Delegates as the group. It shows up in iCal under Delegates calendar with the error notice
'Error While Refreshing Access to account "location title" is not permitted.'
So there is no calendar available for the location in iCal. The personal iCal account shows the Delegation of location and the Show checkbox is selected. The group is allowed to select the location on the web calendar and in the server iCal calendar. But the location doesn't indicate conflicts in the availability pane. Can someone tell me what might be missing?

I am trying to extract data from the cube thru an open hub, but the data which i have extracted, for a cost center i am able to see '0's which is expected to be an empty space, even in cube there is an empty space.

In the transformation of the Open Hub,use BAPI....
Create a target structure with all fields as type characters,move data from source structure to target structure in the BAPI using ABAP codes.When there is no value in character fields it would not show up 0's.

Can I delete an "event" but not the photos? Turn album in2 an event....how?

If I get this right, an event basically equals every unique import of photos. Yet what am I to do if I dont want an event for every import, most especially when people email me one photo that i save to iphoto, that to me isnt a event. I spent hours upon hours creating 'albums' of what have now been coined my events.....so how do i take all the contents of one album that i created in iLife '07 and turn it into an event, even if the photos could have come from various imports along the way? iLife is telling me it's impossible, but there has to be a work around.
So basically I want to be able to delete events, but not it's photos.
And how do I turn my previous albums from iLife '07 & that include photos from various imports to one event in iLife '08.

Not quite. Events are NOT albums, they are an updated version of the Rolls feature in v6. As with v6, every import created a Roll, but you can move pics between Events, create and edit them and so on, just like you could with Rolls. Your albums are not affected by this activity.

Dealing with Event Management

Dear All,
Our client - an Indian PSU wants to manage the events ( any show's , special events ) happening on their premises handled by them in SAP .
Kindly suggest the SAP module in which it will suite the best . As there are two modules like - Training and Event Management (HR) and SAP Event Mangement (SCM) under HR and SCM. Which will be the best module for handling Event Mangement .
Suggest me the best with more information if you have come across such a senario's.

SAP Event Management is used for Tracking and Tracing in your Supply Chain. You can e.g. track a container and send out events in case of delays or if a proof of delivery is posted.
