Exchange User Cannot Email A Remade Account

Staff member left and came back to the company so the email was deprovisioned and reactivated.  When users aren't able to email him we delete any cached email entries and out of the 50 or so users that had an issue, only 1 has not been resolved.  This
particular user gets a bounce back email stating:
Generating server: OurServerName.domain.local
IMCEAEX-_O=domain_OU=domain+2ENET_cn=Recipients_cn=[email protected]
#550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.ExRecipNotFound; not found ##
Everything in italics has been edited by me.  Any idea on how to fix this?  I read a number of articles and tried to enter a x500 entry but that didn't seem to work.  (I may not have added it correctly)
Thanks!
Bobby

How did you add the X500, it's usualy in below format in Exchange 2013 but it could be different if moved from old Exchange versions?

  • Network users cannot log in to account on server

    Here's the situation.
    1) X-Server running 10.6
    2) Workstation running 10.5 or 10.4
    3) Created user accounts using WGM (from a machine other than the server)
    4) Bound workstation to server ('green-light' and message Network Accounts Available - shows up on workstation.
    5) When test account user name and password are entered, password shakes - we get the message 'Cannot log in due to an error'.
    What gives???!!!???

If the error you're getting is 'You are unable to log in to the user account "suchandso" at this time. Logging in to the account failed because an error occurred', that usually indicates that there was a problem mounting the user's home folder. My standard approach to narrowing down where errors like this are coming from is to test the critical parts of a network login (user info lookup, authentication, and home directory mount) by hand and watch for informative errors:
Log in as a local user on a client computer, and open the Terminal utility.
Run the command "id suchandso" (where "suchandso" is the short name of a network user). It should reply with something like "uid=1025(suchandso), gid=20(staff)," etc. If it instead replies with "id: suchandso: no such user", you either have the wrong username or the client is having trouble looking up user info on the server over LDAP. (Note: if this isn't working, you generally don't get as far as the error message, just a shake of the login window.)
Get a network authentication ticket with the command "kinit suchandso" (enter the user's password when prompted). If this works, it'll just come back with another shell prompt. If something goes wrong, you'll generally get an informative error message about what the problem is (e.g. if it says "Kerberos Login Failed: Clock skew too big", that means the client's clock is too far out of sync with the server's and one or both of them needs to be corrected).
Now, use the Finder's Connect to Server (Command-K) feature to try to connect to the server; enter the server's full domain name in the Server Address field. You should not be prompted for a name and password (Kerberos authentication should be automatic after the "kinit" command; if not, something's wrong with the file service's Kerberos setup). You should get a "Select the volumes to mount" dialog including the Users folder (or whatever folder your user homes are under). Note that the user's actual home folder will also be listed, but that's not what you want; select the Users volume instead. If the Users folder isn't listed, or you get an error trying to mount it, troubleshoot that.
If none of that shows any problem, you've got something more obscure going wrong. A couple of random things to try:
Enable guest access to the Users folder (shouldn't be necessary, but I've seen reports that it sometimes avoids trouble).
Make sure the user's home folder settings are configured correctly: use WGM to switch the user's home folder to "(None)", save, then set it back and save again.

  • Users Cannot login to Network Accounts

    Hello,
I have a newly built server, Mountain Lion, but am having issues with my users logging in; an error is received. I have not made the server Live Because of this issue of course. The Users Home folders are on a different external Hard Drive attached directly to the Server.  I am able to see the the hard drive and its a shared drive. I received no errors (sudo changeip -checkhostname) showed success. No mThe computers are joined in the Network Server Account, and
But here is the kicker, If i create a user using the Local Home Folder, and not changing it to the external hard drive I am able to login.
Has anyone had this issue? If so, what was your resolution, how were you able to fix this issue with the login issue?
Any Assistance with this, would be great!
    Thanks

    an error is received.
umm... including the error message might have been useful...
In either case, you don't state whether you've explicitly shared the external drive as a home directory repository.
If your users home directories on on this external drive, then you need to share that external drive (typically via AFP) so that the client systems/workstations can connect to the share as part of the login process.
Have you verified that the drive is shared, and that the AFP service is running? Can you manually mount the sharepoint from a remote system on the LAN?

  • I have several users in an exchange environment who cannot email a photo from the iPhone.  When the click on Email Photo, they are prompted to configure a mail account even though there is already an exchange account in place.  How do I remediate this?

I have several users in an exchange environment who cannot email a photo from the iPhone.  When the click on Email Photo, they are prompted to configure a mail account even though there is already an exchange account in place.  How do I remediate this?  Not all of the users in our environment have this issue.  If the users having this issue, install a secondary email account, Gmail, Hotmail, etc, then they can send through those accounts.  Why would the exchange account not be seen to send photos?

Sounds like it worked until the policies associated with the account that are creating the problem were fully pushed down.
Try setting up a new (test) Exhange account and see if it behaves the same way on the phone (after removing the problem account from the phone, of course).

  • Cannot log in to Mozilla Support. It won't accept my username or password. Reset password email says my account is already activated.

Tried accessing Mozilla Support Forums for Firefox Desktop Support, which I have used many times. It would not accept my username and password, claiming they were incorrect. I tried the Password Reset feature, which opened a window saying that accounts created before December 2010 may have issues logging in. Please reset your password below. It instructs me to enter my email address so that it can send me instructions for setting a new password. I enter my email address. It says we've sent an email to any account using this address. Please follow the link in the email to reset your password. I go to my email. Nothing is there. I wait, but still nothing.
I go back to the sign in page, and click on the link - I didn't get a confirmation email - under Login Problems. A new window opens which tells me that to activate my account I must first confirm my email address. I reenter my email address. I get an email from Mozilla right away, telling me that my account is already activated, and it gives me a link to log in. I click on that link. I enter my username and password again. Same error message denying me access and telling me to enter a correct username and password. I try this a couple more times with no success. Same repeating errors.
So I try to create a NEW account using a different username with my email address. It will not let me do that. It says that email address is already taken, and it will not allow me to proceed. I ultimately had to set up a new account with an email address that I never use, just so I could access the Help features. I am exasperated. I do not want to post my Questions using an email address that I do not use, and have to open another application to even access. I want to be able to receive a message from Mozilla in my normal everyday email address, if someone has replied to my post. But since Mozilla will not let me use my existing email address for the new account I set up, I cannot do that.
This is very frustrating. Mozilla will not allow me access to my original user account that was already set up with my preferred email address. And Mozilla won't let me create a new user account with my preferred email address. Now I am stuck with a new user account that is linked to an email address that I never use and which is not easily accessible to me. As a last resort, I access my new user account in hopes that it will allow me to change the email address that is linked to the account, but of course, that is not an option.
Can someone please help me to access my original account with my original username and password? If a password reset is necessary, then I should not be getting a reply email telling me my account is already activated (see below). If it is activated, then why can't I log in? What is going on? Please help me. Thank you.
It seems your account has already been activated.

I use only support.mozilla.org and never used any other websites. However, the same problem here. My ID and Password are not accepted. Had to create a new account with a temporary email to use Support - it would not allow me to use my main email, because "it is used by another account". Try to reset password - receive no email (even though there is a confirmation on the website that email to reset password has been sent). At the same time can easily receive a confirmation about User ID and account activation. Thus, the account is completely locked, and I can not use my email address for a new one. Please fix this problem.

I recently changed my password on my tiscali email account. i can get my emails OK on the computer but ever since I have been unable to get emails from this account on my iphone.I have changed the password on the phone, deleted and re-added account, turned phone on and off, in fact everything i can think of but still get the error message 'cannot get mail' the user name or passwordfor tiscali.co.uk is incorrect.
i have another email account not from tiscali and i can get the emails ok , also can access internet.
    Can anyone help?
    many thanks,

I assume that though your signature says you are running 10.4.8 you are actually running Lion or Mountain Lion? If so please amend the signature to prevent confusion.
Go to System Preferences>iCloud and uncheck Mail in the list there: then re-check it. This should set Mail up again to access the account. If this doesn't work, sign out completely, reboot, then sign back in again. You iCloud data will disappear from your Mac but reappear when you sign back in.

  • Exchange User IP - How do I use an Impersonated Exchange Account to Access Another Mailbox

  • Users cannot access calenders from outlook after migration to exchange 2013

I have a strange situation after upgrading to exchange 2013 some users are reporting that they cannot open or create calender appointments for calenders they used to be able to manage. we currently are using outlook 2010. also when the users access the calenders
with the webmail they are reporting that they can access the calenders and are able to do all the things they need to do.
i have tried reinstalling office and adding their exchange accounts but this does not help.
another stange thing is that to be sure i had setup the correct access policy i have reset all the security entries on all the calendars with the help of powershell. this seemed to have helped but after a couple of hours some users started reporting that they
could not access calendar items again!

    Hi,
Is there any error description when the problematic users cannot open or create calendar items? Since the issue only happens to some users instead of all users and all calendars can work well in OWA, I think the calendar in the mailbox
    should be configured properly.
Please configure the problematic user’s Outlook account in a clean computer with new installed Outlook to check whether the issue persists.
    Thanks,

  • Exchange 2013 User cannot view public folders

    Good morning,
User was able to view public folders, then lost connection to public folders.  User cannot view public folders in OWA.
Verified proper permissions.   No changes have been made to the user account in AD, exchange.

Did you do a fresh install of Exchange, meaning there was no version of Exchange installed previously? If not, have you moved Public Folders over to Exchange 2013 yet?  If the answer to this question is no, then you will not be able to view Public
Folders in OWA until they are migrated over Exchange 2013.

The SMTP server you are using with Wi-Fi would be the outgoing server of your internet service provider... this is likely why that's working.
SMTP servers specific to a ISP would not work on the 3G network. You would probably need another SMTP server. One from your cell provider?

  • How do I fix Mail in Snow Leopard where I cannot send emails from my account to another account I've set up in Mail, but the reverse works fine?

I have a problem with Mail in Snow Leopard in that I cannot set up two email accounts for myself and my wife with the same ISP and have them operate properly.  I've set up the accounts in strict accordance with my ISP's instructions for setting up email accounts on Mac Mail but I cannot send an email from my account to my wife's without a drop-down message appearing that Mail 'cannot send the email from this server.  Please edit the server list'.  No amount of tweaking appears to work.  Applecare consultants have so far been unable to get it to work and a recent visit to the local Genius Bar in the Apple Store was fruitless also.  My ISP's help line was unable to solve the problem even with a supervisor level consultant.  The ISP concluded it was some kind of 'bug' in Mail.
I could send emails from my wife's account to mine, but not vice versa; I could send emails to other addresees without any problem and I can send emails from my account to my wife's using the ISP's webmail.
Does anyone please have a solution to my problem?  At the moment we're operating one account (mine) on my Macbook and my wife's is set up on her iPad2.  As we prefer to use the Macbook for storage and (using Time Machine) for back-up of our data, the two accounts on separate machines is a nuisance.
Another factor is that I prefer to control when I download emails and set my preferences accordingly.  One of the so-called 'fixes' that were tried wound up downloading emails regardless of settings, even after removing my wife's account; the matter was remedied only after I had removed all accounts form Mail and started afresh from scratch.

You'll have to pardon my ignorance of some  computer terminology; I'm a retired manager and not a computer technician, hence my muddling up of client and server terminology.
Re your comment about Port 339: I did qualify this with (?).  As I wrote, it all happened at lightining speed and the guy at the Genius Bar didn't bother explaining what he was doing.  Port designation contained 3s and 9s to the best of my recollection.
That said, you seem to be spot on re setting up a 'dummy' client in Mail.  I set it up as you suggested and I can send to and receive from this client without a problem.  You appear to have identified the solution, notwithstanding the claims of the ISP's 'experts'.
The next problem I have now is sorting out my wife's mailbox that is so troublesome whenever I set it up on Mail.
All the other set-up advice to date yielded a similar result; inability to send from my account to her inbox.  Perhaps deleting her details from the account altogether and setting them up again from scratch may be the solution and I shall try that in due course.  The impediment that I have with this at the moment is that my ISP admits that it has 'a technical problem with its email servers' and some of its related web pages that prevent my doing this myself.  I will have to go through the telephone 'help' line and ask the technician to set it up at their end on my instructions.  This has some disadvantages in that I have to divulge the password to the account to the operator rather than keeping it anonymous by doing it on-line.   You may have solved the problem, but until I can successfully sort out a working mailbox for my wife i cannot definitively say so.
Many thanks for your perseverance.  You've made more sense than anyone else so far and that deserves some points, surely?

  • Cannot send emails from mail account.

    Hello everyone,
I've had this problem a while, that basically when i send an email from my account it says
Cannot send message using the server xxxxxxxx
when i try other servers it still doesn't work and i get the same error message. I have other computers on which mail works from the same server, same port same password etc. so why doesn't this work.
If you can help me i will be eternally greatful as i won't have to keep jumping on someone elses computer to reply to mail.
    Thank you in advance
    Fred

    Hello Fred.
If you’re sure your settings are exactly the same as on the computers where it works, here a couple of things that you may want to look at.
Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network, choose Network Port Configurations from the Show popup menu, and make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list.
Also, try using a different method to connect to Internet, if possible, or connecting the computer to Internet as directly as possible, i.e. bypassing any routers that might be present, using an ethernet cable instead of wireless, etc., and see whether that makes a difference.
Mail keeps information about outgoing servers in a separate list, independently of any specific mail account. The account settings just associate one of the available outgoing servers with each account. Orphaned or dangling outgoing server entries (i.e. not associated with any account) sometimes cause weird sending problems.
Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Account Information > Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), choose Edit Server List from the popup menu, and delete any servers that shouldn’t be there. The Edit Server List panel shows the account each outgoing server is associated with.
