Exchanging positions of two drag objects in Captivate 7

I am learning to use Captivate 7 and am trying to use the drag and drop function to create a tile puzzle. Has anyone done this, or have an idea of how it might be done?
So far I have created a grid of target squares, each with its own "correct answer" drag object.
The idea goes something like this. If the user selects and drags a tile to its correct target, it will remain there, with the incorrect tile exchanging with the correct tile. If a tile is moved to an incorrect target it will return to its original location.
Any help on this would be much appreciated. I have read a description of this type of puzzle made with Captivate 6 and an installed widget. Just wondering if it can be duplicated within Captivate 7.

Yes if the use will move the incorrect answer , It will come back to its original position and you can also type failure text (like this is incorrect) .

I have two seperate bits of text in a particular section of video. If I select the two text objects and drag the end left or right it only moves one. I I want to be able to drag the end of multiple things at the same time.

Two Business Objects to fill a Data Grid/table using Anchors?

Hi,
I have a SAP standard tile were a table (grid) is filled by an Business Object. I want to add an additional column and retrieve the value from another Business Object.
My questions
1) Can I use Anchors to automatically set the relationship between two Business Objects A & B, so that I can just Drag & Drop an additional field from Business Object B to the DataGrid of Business Object A in the design screen without writing additional code?
2) Some BO's do come with a predefined relationship to other BO's, but in the case of I have to write a supply function do I have to use a specific "Data Source Type" such as "Business Object", "BusinessQuery" or "Business CollectioN"?
3) I already tried to write a supply function, but I realized that the system does return for some BO's or BS's a object instance, if I call "gFactory.newBusinessQuery". Is there any logic/restriction behind?
I know I can use RowLoaded2 and a unbound column, but I want to know if this approach is also possible?

The answer to your question is YES. You can very well do it without any changes at the code level.
The scenerio can be implemented using a concept called JointField Mapping in MAS.
Scenerio 1 :
If you want to display the extra field from another BO in a list tile on the click of a search button from the search tile , then
Please do the following :
1. Select the Busines Query that you have associated to the search tile and go to properties from the View Designer.
2. In the properties, Click on the Joint Field Mapping and select the BO where the extra field id present and select the primary key, Segment Field associated, (extra field)BO Property that you want to display in the list tile.
2. Add a new control (new Field) in the List tile - ie, From the Toolbox (Tileset COntrols).
3.Go to properties of the newly added control. Associate the anchor as the same achor as the list tile was pointing to earlier. for eg : Y_BOCAPGEN.
4. Then Go to BCOLFieldName property and give the property name as the newly added BO property name(New field).
After everything is modelled, You will be able to see the extra field in your application!!!!
NOTE : Ofcourse, After the Successful generation.
Scenerio 2 :
If you want to display an Extra Field in a Detail tile,
1. Go to Relationship of the BO from the Detail tile and go to properties.
2. In the properties, You can find the Joint Field Mapping porperty.
3. This property is again modelled as explained in scenerio 1.

How do I make 2 points in two different objects to stick to eachother?

As the topic says, I need to make 2 points in two different objects to stick to eachother, so for example when I rotate a line which is "connected" to a square object in one end, the line will rotate around that point.
Also, if I have lets say two square objects and I "connect" one of the corners of one square object to another corner of another square object, where the points are located exactly on the same location, I need to be able to rotate any of the square objects around the point which is connected to the other square.
Is this possible?
Some will probably ask why I need to do this, but I can only say I do, it's a long story

Its quite complicated guys , I'm quite sure Illy doesn't do what I'm looking for.
It's basically a line which is "anchored" at one point and connected to a square at the other point. So when I move the square the line is being dragged with it without altering its length. And of course the "anchored" point of the line stays where it was from the beginning, while the other end is attached to the square moving with it.
This way the squares point, the one which is connected to the line, can neither end up closer or farther from the lines "anchored" point. The square can only move around that point in an exact circle, with constant radius.
I'm using this for measuring/map creation. It doesn't have to be 100% exact down to the millimetre, but I'd be happy if I could get it centimetres exact if you know what I mean. Of course this is on a scale of like 100x100 metres or more.
I can do it without this "feature" too, but it takes more time and is not totally exact either.
I can't use CAD for this, so it'll have to be Illy.

Can you determine a dragged objects Class Name when it is dropped?

Is there a way to determine the class name for a dragged object.
I have set up two objects. One is a JList that acts as a data source for the second object which is a JTable. Both objects serve as both drag source and drop targets. I need to be able to react to the following events:
1. Drag value from JList to JTable.
2. Drag value from JTable to JTable (itself) to reposition order.
3. Drag value from JTable to JList (deletes item from JTable).
So far, I have had no problem in getting #1 to work.
The problem is determining how to consistently interpret which event is happening for 2 and 3. Both the drop (DropTargetDropEvent event) and the dragDropEnd (DragSourceDropEvent event) are fired for either 2 or 3 above. If I could identify the source class for the dragsource and the target class for the droptarget, the coding would be easy. I haven't been able to find anything on this while reviewing the API documentation.

No, there are not multiple policies - the host names for all aliases on that single webserver are together in a single host identifier. And I realize I can only have a single challenge redirect, I just want to use a variable to redirect to the host name that was accessed as opposed to a static name.

I can't get two "room" objects to "glue" together in a floor plan

I can 't get two rooms to "glue" together in Visio 2010.
I've tried several ways to drag the "room" objects and handles around the floor plan but not only do the rooms not glue to each other, they snap or glue to other things (like ruler divisions), making it almost impossible to get the room walls to
overlap cleanly.
I found a forum posting somewhere where the respondent only suggested verifying default settings and I matched mine up with those, but that thread went cold without a solution.
What settings are required, and what steps are required, to glue two "room" objects together in Visio 2010?

You began your message with a question, but I think you understand "why I would want rooms to snap together", thus your work-around.
Nonetheless, the "big answer" is that I want to set the
room dimensions for each room individually (we're using Visio to place our belongings within each room) and then snap the rooms together to "build the house".
I started out by creating several rooms with correct dimensions (which I then locked with Developer / Protection).
That's when I discovered that the rooms "wanted" to snap to ruler divisions and geometry instead of to each other.
It's pretty clear that the room design templates / stencils in Visio 2010 have limited functionality - the "convert to walls" feature, for example, generates some pretty horrendous artifacts.
The second most irksome problem is connector routing - I've spent an hour or two doing nothing more than removing excess connection points because connectors insist on routing around some shapes, generating bizarre, wandering paths that I can't seem to disable.
But still, Visio 2010 is better for this purpose than CorelDraw and far better than "SmartDraw", and I don't have any CAD software. I just doubt that Microsoft has made Visio 2013 any better - Microsoft
seems to flip between simple maintenance releases and "grand" rewrites, failing to embrace anything like "continuous improvement".
Finally, the ribbon, a "blonde" solution at best, is particularly horrible in Visio - much of my work on this drawing has required me to switch among ribbon tabs.
Sorry for the rant, George, but anything I can learn to help with these issues will make the remainder of the job better.

Create view link between two view objects (from programmatic data source)

Can we create a link between two view objects (they are created from programmatic datasource ; not from either entity or sql query). If yes how to create the link; ( i mean the like attributes?)

Easiest way to do this is to add additional transient attributes to your master view object, and then include those additional transient attributes in the list of source attributes for your view link. This way, you can get BC4J to automatically refer to their values with no additional code on your part.

Merging Two Graphics2D objects into one

Is it possible to accomplish this:
1) have a method in class A that returns a Graphics2D object
2) have a method in class B that returns a Graphics2D object
3) have class C call both class A's and class B's methods that return Graphics2D objects
4) lay those two Graphics2D objects into a new Graphics2D object within a component's paint(Graphic g) method
What I am trying to do is a lot like a Viso diagram, that is drag a graphic onto another graphic x numberof times and perform some kind of layering technique.

Why don't you pass a graphics 2D into each method, and get method to draw onto that. Then it becomes very simple to combine each.

How two join two ODS objects in an Infoset

I have an infoset that is created on two ODS object, one ODS is a business content that contains more than 30 fields and 2 Key Fields, the second one that i created contains the 2 key fields plus one additional field which was initially missing in the original ODS. Then i created a Infoset with these two ODS, now the problem is i do not know how to link these two info objects and where to specify the join condition. i right clicked and selected left join, inner join etc. whatever i did and when i try to activate the infoset i keep getting this error "Not all objects are linked with ON conditions". How can i get rid of this please help

u will need to set the join between the key fields..
place mouse on the key field in one ODS..hold mouse button and drag..and then drop cursor..on same key field in the 2nd ODS..u will see a line joining the key fields b/w the 2 ODS's..
do same for other key fields too..
the connected lines are the join condition..
now activate..should work..

Positioning and temporarily hiding objects on the stage

(Flash newbie here - bear with me...)
I have two graphic objects on the stage overlapping each
other. The first I was able to position to the document boundaries
just fine. When adding the second object, however, the first object
covers the boundaries so I cannot see them to align the second
object.
The question: Is it possible to temporarily hide an object on
the stage so I can see the stage boundaries to position another? I
don't see any options that will allow me to do this.

there is a little colored square on each layer, to the right
of the layer name, click that square on the layer that the first
object resides, it will then just show an outline. click it again
to bring it back. You can also click the first 'dot' next to the
layer name, it will completely hide the contents of that
layer.

Two drag situations

hey folks,
have a quick question. So i've made a barcode scanner. I have it draggable. I have a button in the scanner mc called scannerbutton. so the grab function works on the scanner, but the beam remains off (on purpose). Is there a way to have two drag scenarios. If you grab anywhere on the scanner but the button, it'll merely drag. If you drag by the button it'll move the scanner and make the beam visible. I have it by click right now, so I can drag the scanner and a click of the beam button will make it turn on. Thinking maybe execute the function of the beam on in the grab, any ideas?

Suddenly unable to drag objects

I installed Muse 2 days ago and I've had 3-4 instances where everything will work perfectly and suddenly I'm unable to drag objects. I can select and re-size them, so the objects aren't locked, but I can't drag and re-position anything (text, boxes, etc.). If I exit out of the program and re-open it, the problem is temporarily fixed (until it happens again after ~30 minutes of use).
Does anyone else have this problem? Is it a bug or am I repeatedly & accidentally toggling some feature that I'm unaware of?

Yup that's a bug. From what we can tell, something goes wrong on one drag operation and after that, we can't start another drag. Quit and relaunch is the only alternative.
So far we don't have any reproducible cases to help us track this down, since it happens to you fairly regularly any information you can provide would be helpful: Mac or Windows?
What sort of drag was the last one to succeed before they stopped working, and what was the first to fail? Reposition something, drag in an image to load the place gun, etc...

Two response objects within one servlet...

Heya guys, quite new to java and got stuck for the whole day on this.
I need to combine two responses inside one servlet. One response retrieves picture from the database and it works fine. Another one retrieves text from database also works fine on its own. Second i try to use both end up with hundreds of exceptions.
Any idea what to do, not how...but what???
