Excise Duty in J1IJ

Hi Experts,
We are trying to do Depot sales configuration.
we have configured stock transfer first . scenario i would explain below.
we created Purchase order with the help of ME21N then we have done the delivery with the help of T code VL10B, VL02N then we created invoice with the help of VF01 and created Excise invoice with the help ofJ1IIN, then did MIGO for Good receipt after that we Used T code J1IG here we are ending the stock transfer process.
then we started to do sales from Depot.
we created sales order VA01 then we delivered the item with the help of VL01N after that we are trying to create excise invoice with the help of J1IJ for RG23D, BED and CEss are not appearing in the " Select Excise Invoice for Delivery" view
Let me explain how i used the Tcode of J1IJ :--- We enter the t code J1IJ then went to delivery menu and selected RG23D selection while system required to enter Delivery no, Excise group and series group then i enter while we entered into "Select Excise Invoice for Delivery" view where we coudnt find the Basic Excise Duty BED, Education Cess and Higher Education cess in particular coloumn. i believe that the same BED and Cess amount of J1IG should be shown in while creating J1IJ but BED and Cess is not capturing in J1IJ.

Hi,
Please check whether routine 356 is assigned to tax condition types in your procedure.

  • Utilization of Additional Excise duty using J1IJ at Depots

    Dear SAP Gurus,
Our manufacturing Plant has created a supplementary invoice for the differential excise rates to the Depots and the same had been captured at depots against the original plant excise internal document numbers using the transaction J1IGA.  This additional duty should be passed on to the customer. So we attempted to pass it on to the customer using J1IJ. We could able to pass the same for the 1st sales. But for the next consecutive sales, system is not listing the additional excise list where as it is showing the list for the 1st immediate sales after capturing the additional excise using J1IGA.
    My questions are:
    1. Is there any other way than using J1IGA to capture the Additional excise value raised by the Manufacuturing plant using A certificate at Depots?
    2. How to pass on the addtional excise to the customers from Depots? If J1IJ is the only way,Then, it is not listing the additional excise details from the second sales onwards.
I would be thankful for your replies.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Kotesh.

  • Excise Duty Value not flow from J1IJ to VF01

    Hi SAP Expert,
I am facing the problem in Invoice to Customer(from Depot). Excise Values are not flowing from J1IJ for pricing procedure JINDEP. I maintained Alt Cal type as 356 in Pricing procedure JINDEP for Excise condition types JEXP. But it is still not flowing. I am using Tax Procedure TAXINN.
Do I need to go to VTFL In item level copying requirement to set pricing type: to C ??
But once i set, it will impact other billing document too. Please advise.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I have successfully posted Excise Invoice at Depot using J1iJ.
When i create billing via Vf01, i am unable to see the value of Excise Duty in item pricing condition from J1iJ.
I analyse the pricing condition for condition type JEXP, below is what i got :
This message tells you that the condition record exists, but has not been set in the document. If pricing was carried out again for the document item, then the condition would be set.
There are different reasons for this:
1.The condition was deleted manually in the item condition screen.
    2. The condition record was created later. Please note that order processing and pricing have buffer mechanisms. This means that a newly added condition record might only be found after order processing has been left completely and then started again.
If the condition type is used for subsequent settlement (rebate), there may be subsequent updating of business volume (the agreement is is created retrospectively). The document conditions do not contain the condition record, as the condition record was not created when pricing was carried out. Updating of business volume is carried out using special functions for subsequent settlement.
    1. When an item was added, the condition record was accessed with key fields other than change time. This could lead to different results in the requirements check at the time of adding and the change time. This can occur when modifications are made.
    2. In billing (or when copying orders): Certain condition types were not determined in the source document (this is usually controlled by the pricing requirements). When creating the document, the document flow (TVCPF,TVCPA) is processed using a pricing type that does not redetermine these condition types, although they are supposed to be called via the requirements.
Is it correct that i assigned routine 356 to Pricing Condition JINDEP ?

  • Excise Duty issue

    Dear Sir,
    I configure Excisable depot.
    STO Process
we created purchase order in which price is mentioned 1000 for a material, and we did delivery ,proforma invoice and excise invoice  ( Price of material 1000, Excise Duty is BED 100 Ecs 2 H Ecss 1) through J1IIN and we have done Goods receipt through MIGO while doing MIGO we have given Base Value 1000 ,BED 100, ECS 2, H Ecs 1 and J1IG document also created.
the issue is that while selling goods, our sales price will be 2000 so naturally BED will be 200, ECS 4 and Hecss 2 in our sales invoice. but when we create Depot Excise Invoice through J1IJ . excise duties BED 100, Ecs 2 and Hecss 1 are appearing which means the amount of excise duties are picking up from J1IG document OR MIGO Document.
question is that we need to do Price escalation in depot , how can we treat excise duties in Depot?
Do we need to do JV in Depot for excise?
Please give me an insight in this regard as early as possible
    Thanks
    Shibu Chandran

As per excise law in India, whenever there is a price escalation happens in a depot we have to create a document called "A Certificate" by paying  additional excise duty on the differencial amount between STO price and Depot sales price. Because when you post incoming excise duty in J1IG after MIGO at depot, system captures BED, CESS & E.CESS as per the chapter ID of the material being transported from the factory and based on this Excise duty value for STO is calculated.
If the selling price of the material is higher than the STO price, we have to pay excise duty on the defference. Because law requires excise duty to be calculated on the selling price or assesible value if one exists.
    perform the following activities
    J1ILN >Indirect taxes>Procurement->Excise invoice->For Depot--> J1IGA Acertificate entry at Depot
Here enter the internal excise invice already captured at J1IG. System will show you the excise duty values to corresponding Folio nos. Here you can enter excess amount to be paid for each line item in the excise invoice. Save.
Now you create OR, delivery and PGI from Depot for customer. Go to J1IJ to create Depot Excise invoice. After entering the delivery document no. you will see a list internal of excise invoices choose the excise invoice to which your delivery material belongs. In the bottom you will see other table containing a list of "A Certifivates" created for all your internal excise invoices. You have to choose the "A Cerificate" of the internal invoice which you have selected already. Capture and post the document. Now RG23D will be updated.
Now you create the commercial invoice for the customer in VF01. In item condition tab you can see the effect of "A Certificate".
Please reward if you find this as useful

  • J_1IRG23D Excise Duty Base Value is not Updated

    Hi all,

  • Differential Excise duty

    Hi,
How to get Differential Excise duty in SAP.
If I Transport the material from Plant1 to Depot1
Assassble value  100 Rs and Excise Duty 16%, 2% and 1%.
But in Depot if I sale at 150 Rs then How can i get the differential Duties in SAP.
Pls Explain  any body gone through this Scenario.
    Raghu

    Hi Raghu,
excise duty is applicable for any goods manufactured. whenever a company manufactures some goods, the company has to pay excise duty to the central governemt and remove the goods from the factory. excise invoice is created in the factory to record excise payment.
In depot we don't manufacture any goods. depot is only a place to store the goods. Hence we need not create any excise invoices in depot. We just need to maintain RG23D register. This register captures the incoming excise invoice to the depot and used to assign outgoing delivery to the incoming excise invoice . Incoming excise invoice posting is done through J1IG Tcode.  Whenever you deliver/sell material from the depot, you assign the corresponding incoming excise invoice to the delivery. This is done through J1IJ Tcode.
J1IGA Tcode is used to correct any incoming exicse invoice.
Eg. We move 1000Kg of material A at 100INR/Kg from Factory X to Depot Y. The excise invoice no from the factory is ABC123. After creating goods receipt in depot, using J1IG transaction we create excise invoice entry at depot. This updates RG23D register.  Suppose we are selling this material A to different customers for 150INR/Kg through the depot.  After creating delivery, picking and before doing PGI we have to assign the outgoing delivery to incoming excise invoice. This will make corresponding entry in RG23D register. Eventhough you sell at 150INR you have only paid ED for 100INR. Hence in inovice to customer the price willl be 150INR and ED will be for 100INR ie (100 * 16.48% not 150 * 16.48%).
    Hope this is clear

  • Depot Sale excise duty accounting

    Dear All
I am doing the stock transfer of 100 MT finished product to my depot on 29th or 30th of the month with the excise duty. In Depot, they will do the GR and started selling the product from 30th onwards (with J1iG and J1iJ utilization).
If my products basic price get changed from 1st onwards (based on the basic price the excise duty amout will change) then how the difference can be accounted (both in Factory and Depot).
    Kindly give some suggestions.
    S. Raju
    [email protected]

Its been some time since I worked in CIN so pardon me if the transactions and routines that I mention are off the mark.
After STO from factory you will do J1ii
You will do the GR at depot and do J1IG .this will capture the mother invoice
Now after order and delivery from depot you will do J1IJ which has to be done by selecting the mother invoice
In your pricing procedure there are certain routines (600 something) against the excise cond type that will capture the excise wrt to the J1IJ
so even if the duty has changed the original duty i.e at the time of STO will be captured
This is the reason why J1IJ is done before invoicing unlike how J1II at factory is done after invoicing

  • Excise Duty (IS-OIL) - Invoice verification and accounting ED

    Hello experts,
I have a case in my importation process with excise duty (IS-OIL). I have the following scenario: Purchasing Ed free material and receive it in ED paid Storage Location. So I use Handling type 00 and Valuation type TAX in the PO excise duty item data. I woul like to kwon Which is the standard process for the invoice verification of the excise duty cost when the handling type is 00 and the valuation type TAX?. And How can I do the invoice verification (MIRO) if there is not a specific line in the purchase order history for the excise duty cost?
I have another case in the accounting of movement type 301 (transfer posting between 2 plants). The accounting posting is the following:
    Examle:
    Account                       Transaction
    1. STOCK FUEL          S                    BSX (Stock account)
    2. STOCK FUEL            H             BSX (Stock account)
    3. STOCK EXCISE DUTY     S             SVO (ED Account)
    4. EXCISE DUTY FUEL           H             ZZP (ED Account)
The problem is that the 4th account must be STOCK EXCISE DUTY ACCOUNT from SVO transaction.
I would be grateful if someone could help me with these cases.
    Thank in advance.
    Pablo

    Dear Prashant,
Thanks for reply, but i checked my excise cond types, in all conditions, cond cat is blank & cond class 'A' is maintained i.e. Discount & Surcharge.
My problem is that, my excise value is not got posted in net receivable value in accounts. This problem arise, when we make sales order, Net Value field doesn't pick excise there & while invoicing, it post only the base value & rounding off adjustments at header level. I don't know, from where this Net Value field in sales order is picking the value but my problem will solve if my grand total value(base valueexciseedu cess+higher edu cess) will pass to Net Value field while making sales order. Kindly help.

  • Issue of Free Sampling  to the customewith Excise duty[Paid by the Company]

    Dear All
For free sample with no commercial value  the user want to raise invoice for plant on which excise duty is to be paid.In this senerio excise duty is to be born by company only  no recovery from the customer.
I dont think it is possible in normal scenario of sales process,as accounting entry gets effected at billing even for cenvat also.
    Can you plz suggest me?

You can make an attempt as follows:-
First create a new tax code in FTXP with the same as that of the existing one which you are using.
Next get a G/L Account from Finance which may be some dummy account.  Next go to OB40, select the transaction EXD and maintain the G/L Account for that newly created tax code which should flow in billing document.
    thanks

  • How to capture the excise duty on free material purchasing?

Scenario is like this if we purchase a lot of material then vendor gives free on some qty. then we make a purchase order for free material with tax code zero. Vendor supply that free material with excise duty. Now we do GRN & take part1 entry. How to capture part II entry. This is capital item.

If you are following J1IEX route , then Tick MRP indicator & enter Excise duty values & take Part2.
It is assumed that all other master data like chapter heading etc are set.
    Hope this will help.

  • Purchase order report with basic price and Excise duty values

    Hi All,
Is there any standard report in SAP to get the Purchase order basic price / qty and its Excise duty values ? Since we are including Excise duties for non - codified items (w/o material master and with cost center 'K') Purchase order and the ed values are added to the cost and the requirement is to see the split up (Basic priceEdEcs+Hcs)for these Purchase orders for the vendors. If there is no std report then please let me know how to link Purchase order table with this Condition value table in query to get the desired report.
